In his haste, Sairasu had found himself in the perfect position to train. Regardless of the weather, he had found an open field and manipulated it to his will. The terrain had no become the most ideal place for a shinobi to engage in combat in. Pillars of stone, earth, and metal had been risen from the ground due to his jutsu; giving his enemies, or more so, his clones plenty of hiding spots. The very snow that graced the country with its beauty had been melted within this area, leaving nothing but dead plants in its wake. Nature was cruel, not only to humans, but to itself. His fire jutsu had simply melted the snow, but the snow itself had killed all the plants beneath it. To him, it was still a tragedy that a natural disaster like this could go undetected. For fucks sake, they were Shinobi in this world who could manipulate the weather to their will, and yet even they were unable to predict or stop this.
Shaking his head, he performed hand seals and brought fourth four metal clones. ”Today, we’ll be sparing. Give me everything you have. Try to kill me.” He commanded his clones. Within seconds, they had grabbed his equipment and dispersed upon the battle field. Now he stood in the center, waiting and watching. Blinding himself, he relied on his senses. Suddenly, a burst of smoke appeared around him. ”A Smoke bomb?” He thought, before he realized the clones used his very tactics. ”And Poison.” He thought, before jumping back and performing hand seals. With a single Jutsu, he blew the poisonous smoke away, back in the direction from wince it came.
Suddenly, he heard his clone cough and instantly, he pulled his shirt over his nose and charged in towards it. At this point, Sairasu had already begun channeling lighting throughout his body. His speed had increased to an unbelievable level, and before the clone could even react, his first had made direct contact with the first of them. As it went flying, several shuriken would burst through the smoke from his flank, digging deep into the tender flesh of his shoulder. The pain was something he had experienced before, but still it hurt. His arm flinched as he charged again, blindly. Before he realized it however, he had fallen into a trap. One of the clones took hold of him and slammed him into a metal pillar, using a technique known as steel slam. Both of them began to let loose with an unarmed assault before he could react.
In the midst of all this, his shirt had fallen from his nose and his lungs filled with smoke and poison. Reacting, he body switched and hid as he tried to cover his coughs. Within a second, his body switch target exploded, leaving a huge burst of flames in its wake. Two of his clones were directly affected by it, but what of the third? As he focused his senses, he realized that it was too late. The third clone had already pierced right bicep with a short sword. Instinctively, he grabbed the clone by the head with his left hand, the lighting still channeling through his body, and slammed its head into the ground. As the sword found its way out of his arm, he performed hand seals and increased the weight of all the equipment the clone was carrying with his “burdening touch technique”. Immediately afterwards, he followed up with another jutsu known as “silver flash” and it instantly tore through the clone, cutting it in half, and dispersing it.
Half an hour would pass before Sairasus training for the day was completed. By the end of it, he had beaten himself bloody and set up camp under one of the earthly pillars he pulled from the ground. Using his jutsu, he had also constructed walls to block out the harsh winds so his campfire could survive. His equipment was in close quarters, where he could see everything plain as day. Over the fire was a single pot, with homemade vegetables soup cooking within it. Most of the ingredients were frozen, so they’d require a little more time to cook before it was ready.
Sairasu, himself, was simple tending to his own wounds through use of his Medical Ninjutsu and supplies he had left. ”Training was good today, but I need to pick it up.” He thought to himself. ”One day, it’ll pay off though.” He said to himself, again. Hopefully he wouldn’t make a habit of speaking to himself.
