Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The night air was chill but Midori was just fine with it. As she hopped through the cold mountains of the spine of the world, the jiangshi hopped towards the mouth of some cave with her arms outstretched with a certain goal in mind. Midori was looking to get some venom from a rare breed of spider to help create a new kind of poison, as a medical specialist the jiangshi must always brush up on things that might affect shinobi in the future. Most people don't usually carry antidotes around with them, most just ride through the pain or use ninjutsu to remove it. With the creation of new jutsu there will inevitably be the creation of new tools and tactics for combat. As Midori hopped through the cave, the vampire looked up to see the children of the night fluttering about the cave. Bats. What music these misunderstood animals make as they move throughout the cave, Midori felt akin to bats.. Mostly due to them knowing the secret of drinking blood, she might collect some nitric acid one day.

Hopping her way deeper into the pitch black cave, she looked around using her lantern so she could see. Since the bat population was heavy around certain protons of the cave, finding the right place where spiders big enough to get a good amount of venom out of was a bit of a challenge. After all if you were being hunted down by a hungry bat you'd probably hide too. So she searched, traveling through many channels and tunnels. That was when she heard something, something coming from a tunnel that appears to have like… spiderwebs. To describe the tunnel in detail, it was like the whole wall was covered in a massive nest of web. She could see little tarantula sized spiders crawling about in it which made her a little hesitant but heck these white spiders looked rare enough. As Midori was about to reach down to grab one she could hear something coming from the tunnel behind her. 'WAAAAAAAAIT! DON'T TOUCH THEM!' she heard from a distance along with a weird clicking noise like a crab moving it's limbs.

'Hark?' she turned her head to look to where the noise was coming from and to her shock she was the biggest spider that she have ever seen scrawling towards her! The thing looked as big as a dog, roughly around 3'5 feet and closing the distance between them at an alarming speed. So Midori did as any other person would do and immediately got the F out of there. The jiangshi hopped faster than the rabbit being chased by a wild wolf, that was how fast she was moving. She could hear words, but Midori wasn't sure it wasn't just a delusion so she continued hopping her way to the exit! The problem was that the spider chasing her was like a little too fast, it even jumped to keep up with her. Midori used expansion then stretched her large hand at the creature while it was in mid air. She hit the thing but then something happened that she wasn't expecting.

No she wasn't poisoned again, nor did the spider go splat but when she punched the creature she could hear the thing yell "OUCH" before using its front legs to hold the front of its head that had suddenly turned red. "I wasn't trying to eat you! I was trying to tell you about the huge spider that lurked within THAT den that would eat you! Last time I'd help a two legger." said the spider as they turned around then began to crawl away.

Feeling bad for the little ol' eight legged freak, Midori decided to offer it a little medical treatment. Minor things like using her chakra to dull the pain in which the spider was hesitant to receive but the creature went on ahead and took advantage of the treatment. The spider then asked Midori what she was doing there anyway and she told the spider that she was looking to get venom. The spider introduced itself as a spider since it didn't have a name, Midori decided to name the spider herself. Calling the spider Bathory instead of spider because Bathory was a rich name… Plus the spider was named after a ruthless countess that had vampiric traits so once the matter of the name was settled. Bathory took Midori to her home which was a large lonely nest hidden in one of the dead ends in the cave. The spider decided to tell the jiangshi more about herself, talking about how her spider life was easy since all she had to do was wait for food to just fly into her web. She had a few guests, but they couldn't exactly make much conversation since most of them were animals and the spiders down here all were interested in two things. Breeding and feeding.

Bathory had always dreamed of one day going with a fellow shinobi on adventures. Hiding was one of her best skills, sneaking around if you will. She also has been hoarding a few items from shinobi unfortunate enough to have caught the 'queens' web, items like poisons, traps, a few gears, and a manual that contained a few instructions on creating weapons. The more this creature talked, the more they sounded like a shinobi and with her knowledge Midori could probably do something with the creature. Midori told Bathory that she was a medical nin for Kumogakure, a high ranking one at that so if she was looking for a shinobi to follow what better one have than one who was at the top of the food chain. Midori told the creature all the things she's done in the medical branch, from the assassinations held jointly with Anbu to the regular everyday time in the office. The creature found her words more and more interesting with each word.

Convinced the spider had decided to do a pack with the vampire however there were a few tasks that she had to do before the pact could be made. Just small favors like moving the bats out of the mountain which was quite simple, all it took was to teach other spiders plasma jutsu so they could make minute sun's to fool bats into moving somewhere else or using active camo to make spiders without that much chakra be invisible to the bats since they are heavily reliant on sound. They also could increase their hunting capabilities since they would be able to move a lot more silently now. Bathory also shared a few weapon ideas Midori could use when dealing with a person who is sneaking around, using a lantern and a tracker was one way to go about it. Another is to use her enhanced sense of smell and hearing to listen to blood flow. Focusing her chakra so she can always spot her prey, even setting up diabolical traps would help since they target people like normal. This obviously made her way to take up a puppet weapon, she might could use one in the future even.

When her task was over Midori would take a minute to soak in her condition and made plans on how to accomplish the next mission. Next plan would be to take her time to relax and have some fun. Probably guzzle some chocolate syrup when that pact was made. The last thing she needed was to kill someone and gain final heart from somewhere soon to keep the monster inside of her fed. After taking a few moments to get her bearings, she would think about the spider that she seemingly bonded with overnight. Obviously that spider was not someone she had met before or had spoken to, but something about the creature that made her curious. Midori's mind struggled to put together why she felt such a strong connection to such a solitary creature she just met. Maybe because it showed some shinobi knowledge which is what interested her so? The entire experience was so baffling that she almost chose to ignore the whole thing. What was the harm in two harmless hunters, right?

Bathory brought Midori something that their kind called The Net Of The Arachnid. The Net Of The Arachnid is a long and thin scroll, much like the Pact of the Moon, but is bound by only fine threads of spider silk. The parchment is a dark brown color, and the writing on the scroll seemed to illuminate in gold. The scroll has many small nooks cut into it, as if it has been the victim to hundreds of small spider bites. Midori signed the pact, being among one of many names to make a deal with the arachnids. She saw the true place of where contract spiders live, a realm based deep inside a mountain known as Tsuchigumo. She even met with Kanka who seemed her to be worthy, having Bathory be her main contract which was all Midori asked. What a wonderful day. She sought out the spiders and now she was a friend of the spiders.
