Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Contract System

Contract Rules:

Basic Rules:

  • The maximum amount of contracts you can own on your character is 2.
    • In order to start a new search, players must drop one of their current contracts, this does not require a word count or wait time just a post on the requests boards.
  • Players are not permitted to use the Contract Realms, any mention of this in the Contract RP will result in an auto-fail.
  • Before designing your custom contract, the search must be completed first and approved by the Contract Mods.
  • NPC are allowed to do contract searches, however, these are treated as an E-rank only! (This is mainly due to the fact that NPCs do not own a dojo.)
  • There is a 2 month waiting period between performing searches, or being taught. Teaching someone has no waiting period.

Parent-, sub-accounts:
  • Parent accounts cannot teach their own subaccounts contracts!
  • Parent accounts cannot do dual contract searches with their sub-account.

Searches:

  • Searches can only happen in the Outer Village Zones.
  • The topic must have the [Contract Search] tag.
  • There are two methods to search for a contract:
    • You write 1500 words, then request a moderator. Said moderator will roll your search, and if you find something that's it. You found it, and can get it. The end.
    • You write 500 words, then request a moderator to roll your search, and then RP the remainder with you. Do note this has a higher chance of failure, as the moderator has full authority to straight up fail searchers. Once the Moderator is satisfied, you'll obtain your contract. The end.
  • You can bring a 2nd person into a search. They also have to meet the word requirements on their own (so both players have to do the 1500/500 words) - However! Only one player needs to use an ASP card to have it count for the entire search.
  • When using an ASP Card, the user has to state them in both topic and request for a contract mod.
    • This card has to be pre-purchased and needs to show proof about gaining it.
    • You cannot choose a contract unless using an ASP card “specific find”.
  • If you deny a contract, that does not mean you cannot encounter it in the future.

Teaching a Contract:

  • Only a character that has the ability Contract Mastery can teach a Contract.
  • Each person has only 3 slots, these slots are character bound and contract bound.
    • This meaning, shinobi A owns Yokai and Bird can teach Bird three times and Yokai three times
  • Teaching a Contract to another player uses the Tutor Rules
    • 5 posts minimum and minimum 1500 word count.
  • Can be taught also inside the walls.
  • Characters who have OCR'd with a Contract or have been taught it by another are not eligible to teach their Contract to others.
  • More information on teaching can be found in this topic here.
Dropping and re-learning a past contract:
  • Players are allowed to drop their contract without a word count.
  • Players are allowed to pick up their dropped contract but must do a search for it again.
    • This must have been a contract from the current PC you are doing this with.

Inactivity and posting time.
  • Following through the site rules, If a topic is not posted by a user for more than 5 days, that person is considered to be no longer in the topicunless the player(s) in the topic wish to skip the user's turn until he/she has returned.
    • This means, make sure you post in time with your dual search partner or on the moderator! If you fail to do so, you do not own the contract or aren’t part of the search anymore.

E-Rank NPC summons:

  • These require approval by contract AND the respective council.
  • These do not count towards your battle contracts. HOWEVER, they cannot be changed to a battle contract and battle contract cannot be changed to E-Rank.
  • They are treated as NPC’s, meaning they have no battle stats.
  • You can only gain E-rank summons from the summons you own.
    • This means you cannot get a Bird E-rank to summon if you own a Youkai Contract and no Bird contract.
  • E-rank Summons have now a maximum given on OOC-Rank.
    • E-rank: 2 NPC E-rank summons
    • D-rank: 3 NPC E-rank summons
    • C-rank: 4 NPC E-rank summons
    • B-rank: 4 NPC E-rank summons
    • A-rank: 5 NPC E-rank summons
    • S-rank: 6 NPC E-rank summons

Misc:

  • Your contract cannot exceed certain sizes without picking up Gigantic ability. (These sizes vary with each contract, but the moral of the story is 10% bigger of a usual animal.)
  • The weight of a contract has to be relatively in scale with the size and creature. You cannot have a 1-foot bird weighing the same as an adult elephant.

*The contracts marked by the green glow are exclusive to the particular country they’re listed under. So to find one of them, one would have to travel to that country, or buy one of the ASP cards that allow searching for other beasts in your own country.

**The Kami, Youkai, Tsukumogami, Elemental, and Dragon contracts have a rare chance of being found in any location.

Custom Contract and Dojo’s:

Designing Your Custom Contract:

Once you have successfully obtained a contract, you must design your personal summon. There are two steps to this, each requiring its own approval; your contract may not be used until approval is obtained on both sides.

Notes:
  • Players may change any of the below after 3 months have passed from their contract's final approval.*
  • You can change your contract's skillset, design an entirely new summon, or replace one that had been killed.
  • This must be reapproved by the Contract Team and in the character's Dojo.
*The only exception to this is if the player, and thus their contract, raise their OOC rank. They may then learn jutsu at the new rank but any other changes follow the note above.

Step 1: Appearance and Description

You must submit your custom contract summon to the Contract Team for approval using the below template for its description, as it is essentially an NPC.

Name:
Description: – 150 words minimum
Personality: – 150 words minimum
History: – 300 words minimum
Other info: – Does your summon have hivemind or gigantic?

Code:
[b]Name[/b]:
[b]Description: [/b] – 150 words minimum
[b]Personality: [/b] – 150 words minimum
[b]History: [/b] – 300 words minimum
[b]Other info: [/b] – Does your summon have hivemind or gigantic?

  • Players may redesign the theme and appearance of your Contract but this does NOT alter its mechanics in battle.
  • Any contract reflavours MUST be approved by the Contract Team before you can use it.
    • Your design MUST stay within the perimeters of the contract species - eg Canine Contract must be a Dog not a Tiger or Lizard.
    • Special Contracts (Kami, Youkai, Elemental, and Tsukumogami) are the ONLY contracts with some creative freedom, within reason.
    • Contract Transformation can only be used inside of a Battle Mod.

Step 2: Abilities and Classes

All Combat classes and abilities for your contract must be posted in the player Dojo for approval.

Class: All contracts have their own class and class bonus and follows the same guidelines as a Custom Class which can be found here (insert link) but with the following additions:

  • Your Contract has a base modifier of 70 rather than the normal value for players and receives 4 Class Points to purchase a Class Bonus.
  • Your Contracts HP and CP uses your Character Level and Charka control, for example:
    • If the contract is summoned by a Level 15 character with a Chakra control of 525 and the contract has a HP modifier of 40 and a CP modifier of 30 that contract will have a total HP of 28,875 and a CP of 23,625

Contracts HP/CP Mod + User’s level) x Users Chakra Control

Secondaries and Accuracy: Your Contract Secondary stats equal 75% of your base stats. The contract does not get any of the benefits from any passive buffs that you may have (eg Sharingan’s Acc and Dodge bonus or any dodge bonus from being in a Defensive stance), however, they can receive bonuses from any passive abilities that they themselves have (eg if your contract has Duelist). This also extends to statistics like Stealth and Awareness unless otherwise noted in your Contracts Abilities.

  • Example - if your contract has their Nin Acc assigned to high and you a total of 600 in your Nin and Agility stat your creature would have a Ninjutsu and Agility stat of 450, this would the contract a Nin Acc of +24 (+12 from the Base stats and +12 from the Class Bonus)

Action Points: A Contract has their own AP pool and, like a player, can carry over 1 unused AP per round. The AP stats for a Contract are as follows:

  • E-Rank 1.5 AP
  • D-Rank 2.5 AP
  • C-Rank 3 AP
  • B-Rank 3.5 AP
  • A-Rank 4 AP
  • S-Rank 5 AP

Jutsu: Your Contract may select up to three sub-jutsu types (eg Buffig Tai, Water Ninjutus and Visual Genjutsu) these may also include any Advance Elements. At each OOC Rank your contact can learn up to 4 Jutsu from its selected sub-jutsu type so long as it matches their current rank (eg At B-Rank you can select 4 B-Rank Ice Jutsu).
You CANNOT store up your Jutsu points for use at a later rank and all Jutsu selected will be treated as Mastered. Once you have reached S-Rank your Contract has access to additional 2 A-Rank Jutsu. A S-Rank Contract will have access to the following:

  • 4 E-Rank Jutsu
  • 4 D-Rank Jutsu
  • 4 C-Rank Jutsu
  • 4 B-Rank Jutsu
  • 6 A-Rank Jutsu

Your contract Jutsu does not need to be purchased by the player and Jutsu can be used without fulfilling the normal requirements.
Weapon: A Contract will have access to its own weapon and follow the guidelines for Weapon Creation here (insert Link). Any and all Weapon Augments applied to your Contracts Weapon’s must be purchased first.
Abilities: Each Contract has access to the Abilities listed in the Battle Rules Section Found here (insert link) and the Rank requirements are as follows

  • D-Rank to C-Rank 1 Ability or Style
  • B-Rank to A-Rank 2 Abilities or Styles
  • S-Rank 3 Abilities of Styles.

This does not include any effect that may alter this.

  • Contract Summon also has access to special Abilities which can be found here (insert link), these work the same as normal abilities but can only be applied to your Contract.
  • Contracts cannot take Cursed Seal, Stage 2 Curse Seal, Sage Mode, Genetic Implant or any Branch Ability, or Style.

Limitations: A Contract is an extension of the summoner and therefore cannot allow the summoner to violate restrictions such as only being able to maintain a single Creation Jutsu at a time or using a jutsu which has a once-per-round/battle limitation more often than is intended.

Specialized Ability: Each contract creature will have a specialized ability that represents a special mechanic exclusive to that contract family; this includes a passive, special move, and jutsu.[/QUOTE]
