The trek to Lightning Country wasn't an easy one, but she finally arrived. She encountered several highwaymen and lechers who continued to follow her. Well, it HAS been over a month now so it was possibly the ANBU trailing her due to being gone for a little bit longer than she said she'd be gone. She had no expectation of returning to the village any time soon. Rescuing Yomi and gaining more power, as well as obtaining knowledge of other country's dragon statues, was a far-more important endeavor than sitting at home-village and rotting away. Why bother being bored in the motherland when there is a big world to discover?
The environment in Lightning Country was much colder than it was in Fire Country; the altitude makes the air thinner thus causing the air to grow colder. A concept that never really stuck with Kaori being closer to the sun yet colder. Then again, science wasn't really a big thing with Kaori as she dipped into the spiritual side of things rather than the scientific side of things. The cold, icy wind bit into Kaori, penetrating through the relatively thick layer of clothing and body-armor, piercing her bones. She shivered as she walked through Lightning Country and came across a small town. She crossed her fingers and prayed to whatever god she believed in that the townsfolk would JUST BE NORMAL! She got away from one creep in Tea and didn't want to have to come to a village where people were worshipping an inanimate object. Thankfully, her prayers were answered and she received a warm welcome by the locals.
She was swiftly whisked away into an inn where she was served hot tea and a blanket to wrap herself in. After about an hour of thawing out, Kaori gave her thanks and made her way to the general store to buy herself a very heavy, very long coat to cover her entire body. After she was outfitted, she waved goodbye to the friendly folks of this town and continued her way through the countryside. She heard of a giant tree here that might house spirits, so that's the first place she'll go before heading into the village proper.
