"Associate...?" Naoki couldn't for the life of her think of why one wouldn't like to be associated with a village, but she hadn't yet given much thought to why her parents decided to try and live the simple life after retiring from shinobi activities. Either way it wasn't what she would consider a bad thing, since it meant they could likely get in and out without too much fuss, and life would go so much easier when trying to secure a regular spot in Soon's Haven when selling the freshly cut fish.
She couldn't exactly see what was happening at this point but it seemed like the Steward was talking to something...? Must be a Steward thing. She didn't tend to dwell too much on what other people didn't mention, which might be something she needed to rectify. "Ah! Yeah, I thought he might've been fishing too much too, but then I remembered that we didn't even have enough money to buy pork three meals a day so we can't be fishing that much," she replied in a carefree fashion, giggling. "I think so, seems like he wants to upgrade to a bigger fishing boat or something the last time I visited... I'm pretty sure I can save up enough to get him one by the next visit if I work hard enough!" And cut down on the snacks... But I can't help it, they're like, my life now!
Waving at Chiyoko as she left the premises, Naoki wondered what kind of food she makes. She doesn't seem like the type who'd leave a little note in her son's lunch, even when Sousuke-sama's younger... But maybe she did, and those notes were like 'eat your vegetables or else!' ...Naah, Chiyoko-sama is nice. I don't think she'd be mean if she did leave notes in there. What kind of lunch is it though? Like a classic sandwich? Ooh, or an unexpected one course equivalent of a full course meal! She thought a lot about food.
Classic sandwich huh? Hmm... Getting kinda hungry. "R-retro- um... I think so? I still remember how things look..." The Steward's questions did cause her to think for quite awhile however, falling silent in her thoughts. Regaining her sight was great and all, even for short periods of time... But now that she'd achieved that, what else would she strive for? Helping others in need was obviously something she wanted to do for the rest of her life, but without fully functioning sight, coupled with the thought that she couldn't possibly help the entire world or even the village that much, she was faced with a sense of directionlessness. That feeling she'd been trying to push down after she managed to learn how to crack the gate open and peek into the world with its vibrant colors once more. What now? How do I continue? Where can I go? Why am I doing this? The final 'have you figured it out yet?' from Sousuke was taken both in context and out of it. "I-I... I think so... It's not that hard, just... linking colors to shapes..." Her voice shaky, she couldn't hold back the urge to run somewhere. A certain place in particular. "It was nice seeing you again..." she joked weakly. "I'm sorry, but... excuse me!" She tried to leave with grace, and ended up nearly tripping over herself with the force she put into dashing off in the direction of her current home, pulling her bag of things with her.
She needed to go back home and clear everything up with her parents soon... Maybe they could help. But she couldn't abandon her post... Could she? She'd only be leaving for a little while... No one would even notice she was gone.
