Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was late night, the rain was hitting hard on the rooftops in the Seki District when Keiji reached Umashi Sensei's house.
He hadn't see him for over two whole weeks, he had been pulled in to go and check on him, probably because he knew the man as well as he did.

The rain was hitting the atop of his hoodie as he looked up at the house. It felt estranged for Keiji, the lights was off, there wasn't any sign there had been anyone there for weeks, months even. What had Umashi been up to?
Weirdly enough Keiji knew next to nothing of the man, all he knew was the time he had spent with him around the Aesculapium. He knew that Umashi was a skilled Med-nin, a dedicated one, with many friends, and little to any enemies. He most affiliated himself with the local populace visiting the Aesculapium for regular check-ups. Boring and not a lot of excitement. It was rare Keiji ever saw him violent or aggressive towards anything. Perhaps only towards the nurses.

He walked up to the front door, as he took note of windows and clicked on the doorbell. No sound, Was the power cut off? Maybe he hadn't paid his bills..
Listening to the door with his ear he couldn't hear anything from the other side. He decided to take the easy path inside, and out from his shoulder bag pulled up lockpicking toolkit, and picked the lock for the windows.
CLICK!
They opened with ease after a few seconds of trying. Admittedly this was among the first times he had ever had any real use of the toolkit he had been given by Otis, one of the few people Keiji actually socialized with.

The windows were slippy from the rainfall and his feet almost slipped, Too far down, can't risk getting hurt over something as trivial as this..
The sound of wet paper could be heard when he landed on the floorboards underneath his feet. He was standing inside of a small, but cozy kitchen, perfectly sized for a single person. The house itself could easily house two whole families and yet he lived by himself in such a small part of the house. A dank and eerie feeling arose in his mind as Keiji began to walk further into the house.

Everything was dusty, it seemed everything had been unused for ages, no light switches functioned, The power really did seem to be off, but why?
The further in he got into the house a stench slowly grew in extremity, he couldn't quite put his finger on what exactly, but it seemed strangely familiar.
The living room was silent as silent can be, an unused dining table stood in the center, sliding his finger upon the surface revealed the true time it had been there, unused. He walked a little more into the house, a few rooms further ahead a room only with stairs were visible, a flight of stairs going up, and going down.

As he got further into the house the strangely familiar smell, seemed more and more similar to previous events that had transpired in his life.. No.. It's the smell of burnt, corpses, not only that but with a mix of rotten meat..
He hastened his steps to the staircases where the smell seemed to be originating from, down, down, down the stairs.. Remembering back on past missions he reminisced the last time he went downstairs in a dark, and forgotten area, this time though he didn't have the lamp..

The steps seemed unstable, or Keiji was getting dizzy, or perhaps both. As he walked down the stench grew fouler and more wicked, he was going to the basement, and a small and cramped one at that.
As he took the last step, the floor was concrete, cold for the feet, if not were for his shoes, he looked ahead and in front of him he saw three dead bodies hanging from the ceiling.. Two large.. And one.. Small.. Keiji hoped, he hoped with all his strength and might that these people hanging wasn't who he thought it was, his fears were apparent and his muscles tightened. The origin of the stench, these bodies, What hell has Umashi been DOING?!

The bodies were hanging with meat hooks in their backs, and their faces looking down on the basement floor, at least Keiji couldn't look them in the eyes as they hanged there.
In front of the dead bodies stood a table and a stool. Upon the table were papers, notes, and scribbles.
With a heavy heart and a deep reluctance he looked them.

After looking them over for awhile he found himself reading plans, plans to steal use, and experiment with Kekkei Genkai and Kinjutu, there were operation notes on how to do certain operations, there were Jinchuuriki, Rikudo Sennin, Uchiha eyes, and even.. Keiji gulped as he read the last words. Hyuuga eyes.
The biggest discovery wasn't only this, but the notes implied his intentions on stealing all the stored Kinjutsu and Kekkei Genkai from the Vault where Kushin and his Harvesters stored it. There were notes indicating he would use explosives, and powerful ones at that. And his plan were to be initiated tonight, at open hours, people are bound to be there at the time..

Keiji needed to stop him. He needed to stop him, and find out what his real intentions are, aside from stealing everything.
His eyes shifted to the hanging dead bodies, Keiji didn't want to admit his thoughts, or his feelings as he looked upon them, just hanging there from the ceiling of the basement.
He rolled the papers up and placed them in his shoulder bag, he might need it. Both for evidence and for self studying.. Even if the latter was the last thing on his mind at the current moment.

As he took the first step on the staircase he turned his face at the hanging.. Dead.. Bodies.. And for a brief split second, Keiji's feelings welled up inside him, he was on the verge of self torture just to get the inner pain to vanish. He turned and began to walk up again, with a heavy heart and heavy steps.

He crawled out of the window he had crawled in from and closed it behind him.
He walked on his way towards the Aesculapium to stop Umashi.
The rain was falling, as did the rain from his eyes, it kept his true feelings hidden.
His friend, the rain.
