Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Hira winced with pain as in all but an instant a wave of heat covered the arena, scorching him and covering his body with unbelievable pain. Looking over, it didn't seem as though his opponent came out of it unscathed himself, but his power truly was something to be concerned with.

Damn, I didn't think he'd come straight out with that much power, I'm going to have to be careful if I wanna come out of this one in one piece...

Looking forward, Hira found a determination spawned of a newfound respect for Uri's power, but knew he couldn't allow himself to get distracted. Alright, time to play a little defensively. With a raise of his hands, Hira gathered his own chakra into the night sky, hoping to counteract the effects of this accursed heat. With some effort, he managed to begin a localized rain storm, helping to calm his thoughts and prepare him for his next moves, but before he could rejoice, Uri attacked once more with blue flames that almost seemed not of this world: a devilish technique that seemed to wrap the flames themselves not around Hira, but surrounding him as if to cut off all means of escape. Worried and caught off guard, Hira began to thrash out with his blades, making any attempt to cut through to flames and perhaps make some distance between himself and Uri, but to no avail. It would seem that if Hira was going to come out on top, he was going to have to take a step back and evaluate all his options.

As his the sparks of his blue flamed wisp burned into the night, Uri’s eyes were kept at this strange fellow. Not only was his confidence overbearing, it was also rather arrogant of him. With that in mind, he momentarily worried over the man if he was indeed a part of the village’s shinobi force. Then again, perhaps it was that overbearing personality that led him to where he was today. Whether it was a fortunate circumstance or not, however, was yet to be known.

“Hope you don’t dry out fast,” he said in mild warning as his eyes burned a deeper shade of red before suddenly a ghost of blue flames sparked from it. Immediately, his chakra swelled out from his body and dispersed itself into the atmosphere around them. As quick as it happened, the very air that they breathed began to feel heavy and hot and any ordinary man would begin choking or feel the burns from within. But not him.

“You wanted to play with my fire, right?” He spoke again amidst the night shower that the man tried to jest with him. He smirked and raised a hand, blue flames coiling around his arm before shooting out in an instant, splashing into view and erupting into a wall of fire that run across the surface of the ground. It was fierce, so to speak, threatening to charr any that dared pass through its surface. It surrounded the other man with ease.

Uri felt the surge of his power from within and the touch of a feint hand on his cheeks. Chika was beckoning him and so he gave in, even for a little while. Within a heartbeat, there was a drastic spike of threatening aura that found its way from him, dauntingly, It converged back to his body as he was engulfed by the blue flames, though did not seem to burn. Rather, the flames danced along the surface of his skin and his clothes.

“You came back with prospects of having grown. Let’s have you figure out if you truly have.”

Watching the ring of fire surround his target, Uri began to strategize his next move. He was grinning widely as he was confident on his next attack, his blood boiling in excitement. As he let a breath to awaken his muscles and jump into action, he suddenly found himself stumbling. He paused for a moment in disbelief and looked at himself, his surroundings and then to the ring of fire. He glared at it as he watched the source of this fight, the silhouette of the man behind the blue flames. Then, he glanced from side to side as he realized one crucial thing. He was outside the damn ring of fire.

With a heavy sigh, he slapped himself across the face and heard Chika laughing from within. Silly boy, she would say and he would grumble underneath his breath. It wasn’t often that he got to use a bit of strategy in his dealings, and it clearly showed. His body was just about ready to move and act when it forgot the situation it was in. How utterly disappointing.

Just then, he would see that the other had taken this opportunity to try and surprise him. Too bad, he saw through the syphoning energy behind the flames. Uri was quick to dodge just as the ring of fire would give in to a torrential spinning water that eventually formed into a large sphere. Lucky enough not to be a victim into it, he, now, seem to have realized he was still in the same position as before, separated from his target who was easily maintaining composure from the inside of the watery sphere.

But that didn’t mean he was out of luck. He kept a firm gaze and without warning, he would shoot out a stream of chakra through his gaze and capture the lad into a body bind. However, what now?

“I was never good at catching. Only with fighting and destroying,” he commented as he scratched the back of his head for a brief moment while keeping his eyes fixed on the latter.

Hira looked on to the violent flames tearing and weaving across his vision, blocking every point of escape. He reached out with water condensed around his hand, testing the strength of the barrier in question, and with a singe and a wince, concluded that it was indeed too powerful for him to break through without some amount of effort. Taking a moment to think, Hira began to twirl his weapon out above him, an attempt to distract his opponent from his true intentions.

"I hope that isn't all you got, Aoi, cause I've gotta say I was thinking with all your talk you would've been at least a little stronger than this!"

Hira laughed a little bit to himself, waiting for any form of attack coming through the fire, but it would appear that Aoi had, at least for the moment, given him a moment of repriese. Of course, that did nothing to soothe his mind as it more likely meant he was simply preparing. Worrying about such, Hira wondered what he might be able to do to prevent any more direct attacks like he encountered earlier, as any more of those would surely bring this spar to a swift conclusion; and it was with this train of thought that Hira suddenly schemed up a plan to both protect himself and threaten taking control of the battle. He saw this already before we began fighting for real, but chances are he won't be suspecting this again...

With some concentration and a concerted effort, Hira focused his chakra as a dome of water expanded from his core, not only extinguishing the fire surrounding him but consuming the very rain itself as it absorbed itself into the sphere to allow it to grow in size. While Aoi managed to dodge the ever-expanding arena, he was at least put at some distance, though soon enough it would seem that he would use this distance to his advantage, putting Hira into some form of trance and stealing control of his movement. Hira would have to take full advantage of his Aqua Realm if he were to avoid losing due to this move...

Hira braced himself as he anticipated the flurry of blows his opponent was sure to follow up with after binding him, but he was in no way prepared for what that would actually spell for him. Tapping into a primal sense of survival, or perhaps more accurately fear for what may follow, he managed to break free of the paralysis set upon him by Uri, but that feat came a moment too late as soon fire and brimstone hailed from across the arena, pelting him with burning chakra, scorching his body and his mind alike as he suddenly realized the difference in power between the two.

Hira shouted at the top of his lungs, writhed in pain as attack after attack Uri laid into him. In a desperate attempt to stall the inevitable, Hira took one last stand, summoning a giant dragon formed of water and cooling mist. At first glance it could have appeared that this attack might have been directed at Uri, but without pausing for a moment, he would shoot it straight down, engulfing himself in the torrent of chakra in what could very well have looked like a surrender; but sure enough, his adeptness with the liquid element would shine brightly as with the fall of the waters Uri would notice many of his burns and wounds missing. The special healing properties of his chakra had saved him many a time before, and he was sure that this might be the only way he could defeat his opponent...

Without more than a few moments to ponder this train of thought, Hira got hit once more, blindsided by his original confidence as he fell to the floor, limp and powerless to the man in front of him. His dome of water evaporated, leaving no trace behind except a large puddle underneath. He looked out once more to the man he had wanted so desperately to beat, if nothing else but to validate all the training he had done.

"Isn't that funny... In the end I guess I haven't really gotten any stronger, huh Ka...." His voice cut out as he fell unconscious on the floor of the arena, head hitting the floor with a pitiful splash, as if fate mocked his very defeat.

The lad had guts and intuition. Uri would give him that. He may not be that older that he was, but he seemed to be pushing himself towards a certain goal. Whatever it was, this battle seemed very important to him, to the point of doing drastic measures. Even if he was shielded within his own sphere of water, the dome would not last long. At least, not when Uri had plans to destroy it along with the arrogant fool. But was he really going for that? He merely wanted to avoid this fight and teach the lad a lesson about challenging strangers. It was bad for your health.

As the fight raged on, he let loose the fire within him, blue flames taking shape and life to come charging at the lad. He wasn’t sure if the other had anticipated this much force, but Uri wasn’t one to show mercy. If the lad was trying to achieve something with this challenge, it would be disrespectful of him to show anything less. Fire erupted and consumed the water sphere and the lad would take one last chance to encase himself with healing water, but it was all for naught. Uri sent an unsuspecting draft of hot air that struck the boy true, and the torrential force and flame was enough to devastate him before he ended it with a full force of kinetic energy. The flames that burned within his soul gravitated towards his hand and syphoned an unknown force that sliced through the air, slashing across the lad upon an opening, and it would seal his fate.

With the watery dome collapsing along with the boy’s body, Uri let himself calm down for a moment, listening to a thrilled voice of the entity that resided in him. Chika was amused but soon disappeared into the deep recesses of his mind. Slowly, the fire that burned around his body dispersed and he approached the lad lying on the floor, mumbling something incoherent before finally falling silent.

A good long moment passed as he simply stared before he slapped himself with both hands on the face. He then glanced back down at the unconscious boy as he mumbled, “Shit! Shit, shit, shit! Should I just burn the evidence? I wasn’t planning on killing him.” He was already contemplating the consequences he might suffer. And just when he was finally about to be independent and live as a full-fledge shinobi, this happens.

At that point, someone appeared behind him. It was fast. His senses didn’t pick up the presence until it was a few steps away. He quickly turned, and though one would have normally defended themselves or be suspicious of the sudden entry, he ended up blushing as red as a tomato and unable to speak. Wide eyes glanced over the face of the pale raven-haired man who was grinning like the Cheshire Cat.

“And this is why I prefer you tell me whenever you want to go out at night like this,” he said with a low pitch voice, approach Uri and the unconscious body. He spared a moment to glance at the felled foe and sighed. “Don’t worry, he’s not dead… yet.” He crouched and swiftly gathered his chakra to his palm and applied it on the boy. “Some passive healing would help ease the pain and start fixing his injuries, though perhaps some of the burns might need more ointments and such.”
e2aA6E8.jpg

He stood up and gave Uri a sheepish smile and added, “Well, I’m proud you actually have self-restraint to some extent now. Shall we? It’ll be morning soon. You should at least have some sleep.” He closed in the distance and hugged Uri before flicking him on the forehead and pointing at the lad on the ground. “Well, he’s your responsibility. So, you know. Heavy-lifting, go.”

Should Hira wake up, he would soon find himself in a new set of clothes (rather baggy and long for his stature). He would be lying on a king-sized bed in a large minimalist room. It would already be mid-afternoon, and he would be able to feel the healing just resonating like warmth on his skin and inside his body. He had bandages along his arms and face, and the scent of menthol wafted in the air. There was a side table with a glass of water and a refill of a glass jar. And more importantly, he would be able to hear some mumbling voices just outside the door, some shuffling and from the tone of it, slightly panicked.

Hira looked onto a plain of ever-cascading darkness, threatening to envelop him whole as what seemed to be the memories of that fateful night bombarded him with regret and anger. It seemed as though the very air were constricting his young lungs as he struggled and gasped for breath, and attempting to claw as his throat but finding no hands to do so with. A man with red hair slowly walked up to him with a devilish grin plastered to his face, an eerie laughter emanating from deep within.

"So Hira, looks like you still aren't strong enough. How many more will you watch suffer before you make amends?" The voice echoed out as the vision slowly began to grow larger, and larger still, until a noise not of this world forced its way into Hira's attention. Whispers and skittering, perhaps quiet enough that it would bug no more than a mouse, somehow pierced the veil of this existence, and dragged his gaze to a light. Not wanting to linger he took the opportunity and...

The light was dim, but relaxing, as though set up by someone who had taken great care to set the enviroment up to be one of peaceful rest, although the sounds emerging from the other side of the door might betray such beliefs. Hira slowly opened his eyes to find himself in an unfamiliar home; not one of the forest as he had come to know in recent years, nor of the huts of toads in far away lands, but of human creation. Many thoughts wracked his mind as he wondered to himself how he might have ended up in such a place, but those thoughts were soon taken over by jolts of pain running through his body. While it would have seemed he were already treated by the bandages surrounding his body, it would surely make sense he was still injured from his excursions of the previous night. With a gasp he pushed firmly down with his hands to prop his back against the wall of where he was resting, muttering to himself through strained inhalations, "Well, at least that means I'm not dead... For better or for worse."

His eyes wandered, hoping to decipher who might have taken him in. The only thought that crossed his head is that perhaps one of the village's medical ninja found him at the arena last night. The last thing he remembered were the attacks Aoi had sent his way, and then nothing. He was surprised in fact that he was still able to move. Kumo knows if he had been attacked out of the blue like that he wouldn't have gone easy on them, whomever they might be. With a grunt, he adjusted himself once more so that he could get ready to stand up, shame clouding his eyes.

Every time... every time I think I'm strong enough someone has to come and save me... Just when will this cruel world free me of this hell I seem to be stuck in...

"I guess I should thank whoever is here for helping me out. With that, Hira moved to place both feet on the ground. When he went to stand up, however, the strain proved to be too much as he fell over, knocking into the doorway on his way down. Just his luck that he would cause even more trouble for the owner of the residence, he thought to himself. Without further concern of his own safety, Hira moved to slide the door open the best he could from his position on the floor, looking for the osurce of the sound on the other side and in hopes someone to thank for their kindness.

At first it was just a simple act of kindness. It was hard on Uri to lower his pride that way, but he knew that Shuuten only meant well. In fact, the raven-haired man was always keen on making sure he was fine. A strange turn of events, to be honest, considering they were both the type to just brush off any kind of bruise or wound. And yet, here they were, with Uri getting treated by Shuuten. Not that he was hurt, more like, it may have backfired at him - his power.

“You should really take better care. You’re finally going to start tomorrow, you know,” said Shuuten as he placed a medicated patch along the shoulder blades. Uri then felt his cheeks warm up when something else was pressed against his bare skin. Of course, he quickly turned around and whacked the raven-haired on the head, to which Shuuten merely laughed at and then pulled him in into an embrace. “Yours is a power that’s rather rough on you, so you can’t be too easy going. Okay?” And he placed another kiss at the nape this time.

It wasn’t something the redhead would leave alone. He ended up wrestling the other and making him know that he wasn’t a softie. Which somehow ended with them falling off the couch, and he hit his head on the landing. Shuuten gave a hearty laugh while the redhead glared as he rubbed his forehead. “Come here,” said Shuuten as he opened his arms wide, to which the redhead sighed and showingly hesitated before finding himself sitting on the former’s lap again and a band-aid was being placed just around his eyebrow.

For a moment, they were silent as Uri could feel the flow of his chakra ebbing away. The sudden burst earlier had made him hungry and he had a quick meal. But now, he was feeling the effects of what could be a food coma, so he laid back against Shuuten’s chest, closing his eyes even just a moment. That was a rather fortunate thing for raven-haired man as he tightened his embrace and placed a few more kisses on the latter’s nape, moving to the bare shoulder, rising to the side of the neck and to his ears, making Uri purr slightly.

And just as he was about to suggest a more intimate exercise, the door to the room suddenly opened and something splatted through and on the floor. Shuuten gave a long look at the boy and then at the door and clicked his tongue. “I should really get that fixed. Hey, he’s awake,” he tried to nudge but there was no response and so he looked and realized that Uri did end up falling asleep like that. “Ahhh…”

For a moment, he paused, things calculating in his head, before he stood up and then held the sleeping redhead like a bride. “Say, since you’re awake, go grab some food by the table. There’s still some left. I’ll let him take the bed for now,” said Shuuten as he moved across the room and past the boy, as if it was normal. Inside, he laid his mate to sleep for a moment, pinching his cheeks for good measure to see if he was faking it, but knowing Uri, he could very well sleep through the apocalypse. So he smiled when he saw that the redhead could have a good deep sleep this time.

Back outside, he would try and find the boy and sit on a chair opposite him, probably observing while the boy would eat the remaining stir-fry. Of course, he didn’t seem there was a need to explain why both he and Uri only wore pants, leaving them both topless, almost as if to show-off their rather well-built muscles.

“So, exactly who are you and why were you in a no-entry zone last night?” Said Shuuten as he leaned on the table with a wide grin across his face.

Hira looked at his host with narrow eyes as the question shot across, catching him unprepared with food nearly dripping out of his mouth he was shoveling it in so quickly. He was less so stricken by the content of the curiosity across from him, but more so by the lack of clothes presented in this household. In due time, however, he would let his mind be at east and focus on the conversation. Slurping up on last bite, he started.

"You know, I'm not sure I was actually intending to end up there of all places. See the thing is I've been away for some time training and dealing with some personal affairs, and just found myself wandering last night. The glow of fire caught my eye and I just decided to check it out, not thinking anything quite so..." Hira looked with a sideways glance over to the room Uri slept in, "...intense would happen.

He looked over the food once more, realizing that he probably wasn't helping his situation leaving details out, and the man in front of him, while kind, seemed as though he had some level of authority. With some deliberation, he spoke up again.

"So to give some background, there was an incident a number of years ago. A prisoner that had broken out of his cell and caused quite a bit of panic in the village, including leaving myself and some others who tried to step in for dead. And his preferred method of combat seemed to be, well umm... fire."

Hira looked down, no longer able to look his host in the eyes, more so out of embarrassment for himself than anything else. "I saw the fire and so many thoughts were racing through my mind. I wasn't sure if it might be another emergency and I kind of freaked out to be honest. I guess I kinda jumped to conclusions there."

He ended with a slight chuckle, holding the back of his neck with the back of his hand as he tried to hide how ashamed he was of his questionable activities the night before. He looked once more over to the room Uri rested in, this time with a little less enthusiasm. "I guess I just jumped at the opportunity to see how far my skills had come and if it could stand up against a powerful fire user. To be honest I think I took most of the beating, but you guys seem close. Sorry if I hurt him at all...

Listening to the boy, Shuuten’s eyes slanted. He knew of what the boy was referring to. Unfortunately, he had been away that time of the prison break. And fortunately, Uri was still in lockdown to have been sent after that escapee. He couldn’t fathom what it would be like if his boy would have engaged in battle. But he did feel a little alarmed at the fact that the Uri was easily spotted. Should something unwanted were to have happened, it wouldn’t be an easy thing to hide from the higher-ups.

Sighing, Shuuten allowed the boy to finish his story and continue eating. “Well, that’s just part of life, I guess. You never want to get stuck knowing you’re never good enough. But sometimes, you have to use your head too. What if Uri wasn’t as kind as he was and you ended up becoming ashes? Mind you, it’s not a farfetched story.” He followed the boy’s line of sight towards the room where Uri was sleeping and added, “Trust me, I’m more concerned about you than him at this rate. For one…”

Shuuten suddenly leaned forward brought out a kunai from his side pocket before slamming it onto the table. “His very existence shouldn’t even be known just yet. The reason he goes there at night and when it’s not available for the public is already proof of it. Now, I wonder… what should I do with you, who has unsuspectingly stumbled into this mess. Considering this is a secret that is only known by the higher echelon, and not even the other branches, which you are probably part of because I know every ANBU there is, then surely you would know the gravity of the situation.”

Despite his cool calm voice, Shutter’s tone was almost deadly and his eyes remained fixed into Hira’s.

Hira looked with some trepidation as he listened and watched as Shuuten's tone went from playful to grave within a few moments. As the kunai struck the table, his first reaction was to swing his arm up in defense with water forming on the edges as an armor of sorts, but he stopped when he realized that there was no immediate danger. His arm swung halfway down back towards his lap, but remained above the table as it was clear he still wasn't sure if he could trust this man.

"Yeah I realize I've stumbled into a little bit of a situation here, but threats aren't going to help anyone. If I couldn't remain alive with this knowledge it would have been easy enough for you to either take me out already or simply leave me for dead instead of bringing me here. So I'm just going to call your bluff right now and kindly ask you to stop with the bullshit."

Hira's eyes winced in slight pain as he moved in his seat, moving his head forward so that he could meet Shuuten's eyes without distraction. "Look, I appreciate everything you've done to help me out, but if you want something you'd better just come out and say it. I'm not much for these games where we play around the topic. And also..." he continued looking once more back to the room Uri rested in, "...I'm not entirely sure I should be here when he wakes up considering the circumstances we met under. It would probably be best if I just forget this whole thing happened and went on my way. Whad'ya say?"

Hira looked back at Shuuten, flat faced without any intent to deceive his frustration.

Shuuten raised a brow as he listened to the boy trying to tough it out. “Well, tough luck, Teishu Hirateuchi, because now that you know of this, I can’t just let you pass as if you’ll be silent for the rest of your life. Even the dead speak,” said Shuuten as he adjusted to take a sit once more. He grabbed something from the counter behind him and then placed it on the table in between the two of them. It was a bag of chips.

“Feel at home, while you’re here. It’s rare that my apartment gets any visitor aside from my boy over there,” the raven-haired added. Clearing his throat, he continues, “To tell you the truth, protocol calls for your execution. But… I figured something is far better than wasting resources. After all, you seem like a competent shinobi of the village. And because I’ll soon be doing more missions far far away, and knowing Uri, he’ll be moody when that happens. So… how about coming to a compromise with me?”

Almost magically, Shuuten whips out a perfectly folded parchment, of which he opens to reveal a perfectly written contract. “So according to this, I, Doji Shuuten, do hereby acknowledge Teishu Hirateuchi as an ally and accomplice in my mission to guard or subdue the operative Eru Uri. In the event that an emergency happens, Hirateuchi may assist Uri. In the event that Uri goes berserk and rampages, Hirateuchi may assist in subduing Uri. However, execution matters will still be handed by myself, Doji Shuuten. As such, Hirateuchi is given access and clearance for communication with Uri beyond missions, without any penalties,” read Shuuten, and then he whips out a pen and places it on the table. “And of course, if you sign your name here, then I won’t need to execute you here and now. Problem solved. Secrets kept. You’ll be alive, and Uri will have a friend. It’s a win-win situation.”

“Hey…” a groggy voice resounded across the room and to the door of the room, Uri can be seen standing up with a sleepy face. He, too, was lacking a shirt and wearing only a pair of baggy pants. Barefooted, he started to walk with his eyes fixed on Hira. “I don’t need another babysitter.”

Shuuten smiled and greeted the redhead before he reached out a hand, to which Uri so willingly approached and entered and then was embraced. And so casually, the raven-haired man kisses the sleepy redhead in the lips so fast it was almost as if nothing happened. Then, he turned back to look at Hira. “It’s okay. He’s reliable. He did survive a bit of your flames. Besides, would you rather I kill him right now?”

“No,” said Uri with a shake of his head before glancing over to Hira. “I just don’t want him to get hurt.”

“Ah, well, tough luck. He’s already gotten himself into this mess without even knowing it. But hey, that would just mean you’ll have to train to get better and make sure you don’t burn him accidentally.”

“Ignore him,” said Uri as he pushes Shuuten’s face from getting another chance to kiss again, all the while looking at Hira. “If you really going to do this, then I might as well train you, too, so you won’t get easily knocked out by my flames. No offense, your water jutsu needs more… uh… spirit.” Uri reaches a hand towards the bag of chips and takes a few, eats them, before he is pulled away and placed on Shuuten’s lap. Then, sleepiness comes over him again and so he stands up, much to Shuuten’s disappointment and goes back inside the room.

“Right… well, he’s still in recovering his energy, I suppose. In any case, it’s really a no-brainer, Hira… May I call you Hira? And in case you’re wondering how I knew your full name and whatever else, just a hint… I have access to such things, so it’s all good. You’re well protected… from enemies, at least.”

Hira stared conspicuously at the contract as his situation was presented in brutal honesty. It wasn't that they had chosen not to kill him, but had clearly been given a choice between a job above ground or six feet below it. He moved towards the bag of chips presented by Shuuten only to see Uri coming out of the room to grab them himself. He stayed silent as the two talked, having a tough time filtering his thoughts towards a decision that would no doubt change the rest of his life. He already got a taste of how strong Uri was, and was sure Shuuten couldn't have been far behind with how he was acting. There was also the consideration that higher ups were involved in this affair... there's no way he could hide from the entire village even if he could manage to escape from this home. Just what was he supposed to do...

With Shuuten's last words, Hira contined to only stare with crude eyes, not in any attempt to read the situation, but in spite of the situation he had been forced into. Some of his fingers wrapped mercilessly on the table, while he spun a small bead of water between the knuckles of his free hand.

"I accept," is all the boy would say as he signed his fate away, staring down Shuuten the whole time. He stood up and turned around, not caring to see the response Shuuten might offer, and instead paced over to the doorway, looking in on Uri. This was far from ideal, but if he wasn't going to be given a choice in the matter, he was going to make the most of the matter. This was Hira's opportunity to finally grow strong enough to protect someone, to have a purpose again.

"You go easy on me and I walk out. I don't care what your friend does. He began walking to the door, frustration clear in his tone. "That good enough for you, lover boy?"

Shuuten made a smug smile as Hira had signed the contract. He could feel there was a strange tension in the air about him. Perhaps he was teasing the boy far too much for his liking. In any case, Shutten took the contract and undid the Snap Shot jutsu. A wave of the chakra would be felt across the room. Then, he folded the contract.

“That should be fine. Uri isn’t one to hold back anyway,” said Shuuten as he made across the floor and grabbed his black coat by the couch. He then walked past Hira and slid the contract into the other’s hands, saying, “I was a bit worried about leaving him unchecked. I’ll be leaving soon enough for a difficult mission outside, but now I can at least feel at ease knowing I’ve found a babysitter.”

He continued to walk towards the doorway of the apartment and added before he left, “If he wakes again, tell him I’ll be at the Sileo. I’ll be back before night. As for you, I suppose we’ll meet again… before the year ends. Be good to him. I’ll make sure you get compensated through your bank account.”

And with that, Shuuten leaves the apartment.
