Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

What a wonderful day it was, the clouds on the horizon reflected beautiful hues of red, gold, and orange as the sun set. The crisp air blowing up from the ocean carried with it the smell of brine and the sounds of the gulls that made their nests in the cliff; oh, and it made the smell of his own blood pick up. Yep. Just another lovely day in Iwa.

The stoic man stood in front of the clinic, his left arm pinned up in the sling his sleeve had been turned into as per the usual, his face not really reflecting the fact that his right arm had been broken in several places, a couple shards of his ulna poked through the skin of his forearm; twisted mangled fingers dripped blood onto the tiles of the courtyard. But he patiently waited his turn to be seen as though there was nothing wrong in the world; in all honesty, it hurt like a fucking bitch, he just didn't let it show. It was a lancing fire running across his nerves with every pulse of his heart, raking across his mind with a combination of the dull ache and the tingling lances that came from the mangled flesh trying to heal itself. Ryu really didn't want to be here, he didn't want to be at the clinic, but he couldn't exactly set his arm himself so that the flesh would regenerate properly over the course of the month.

He didn't want to rely on the monster's left hand either. Maybe it was a bit of pride that had him hesitant to enter the clinic building, he'd procrastinated even coming to the complex; the man didn't want the use of his other arm in question let alone for that to be examined. Last thing he needed was the village's government coming down on him and restricting his activities. Damned if he did, damned if he didn't.

Yet, he was still standing in front of the clinic staring off at the horizon without showing interest in actually entering the building.

Koa, whom had transferred for the day from her normal position at the newly opened hospital, headed over to the Shaman's clinic with good intentions. The shamans and medics were one side of the same coin, each to their own, and were a family of medical practitioners. They would focus on the herbal remedies and natural energies, or something or another, but Koa was a new age practitioner and one that relied on the use of ninjutsu and medicating drugs derived from all sources of life that littered the world in abundance. She entered the clinic with an open mind, having not really had the time to visit the place all too much since the new hospital was built. The doctor was dressed in her new attire, a blue corset with black skin-tight trousers and black heels. Although this wasn't exactly something that one would wear to one's job.

Koa draped her body with a white coat, the kind that is adorned by doctors alike, a symbol of their status. As she walked in through the clinic, her eyes would scan the patients awaiting treatment with a smile. The smile would be warm, and welcoming, well that would be until her eyes settled on the mangled, slung hand of a stranger whom either looked uncomfortable in his own skin or wasn't that found of hospitals. "Oh my God!" She would exclaim sharply, rushing over and bring with her a vanilla smelling odor, "Why are you still waiting to be seen?" On her knees, at the man's lap, Koa would inspect the mangled hand loosely before sharply turning her head and beckoning over one of the assistants to bring over a wheelchair. It took the young assistant no less than a few seconds to come rushing over with a wheelchair for the man to sit in.

"If you could please," She would say, not suggesting for the man to sit in the chair, but ordering; doctors orders, "I'll take you to a room immediately and we'll start to get you patched up." Whether or not the man sat in the chair was up to him, if he did then great, and if he didn't that was fine too. Koa would either wheel the chair, or guide the man, depending on choice through a set of large swing doors - which buzzed upon opening and closing - and through a series of short corridors where a small room would have been allocated to emergency sit-in patients.

Again, either wheeled or guided, Koa would show the stranger into the room and usher him onto the examination bed that sat in the middle of the room. It's body was crafted comfortably with cushy material and coated with a membrane of black leather. "What happened to you?"

The tall man had lost himself in thought for a time, enjoying the peace and quiet the world had to offer in the early hours before the air was filled with the bustle of people; it was always so nice to enjoy the early morning air. Actually, for the time that he lost in peace he'd forgotten where he was standing and the fact that his right arm was mangled and bordering on grotesque; well, that was at least until a woman startled his thoughts back into motion and the peace he'd attained in the monk-like trance shattered, crumbling down around his ears as though the sky had been broken with a mallet. Oh yeah. He was in pain.

Blinking and shaking his head faintly, he took a deep breath and cleared his throat; a deep rumble that could have been mistaken for a growl and stubbornly planted his feet when the chair was presented. A broken arm does not affect the legs." His surprisingly tenor voice responded to her order to sit. He followed her to a room on his own power, it was bad enough that he would have to rely on someone to patch him up; he would not degrade himself by being pushed around like an invalid for a limb that didn't have an effect on motion. The towering man kept pace with her, quietly observing everything they went by with a slight curiosity in the violet-blue eyes; looking at patients and staff alike, peeking into open and vacant rooms of the clinic.

Bowing slightly to the woman, a habit of respect his father had pounded into him, before entering the room she'd ushered him to, settling himself against the edge of the table only to blink at the bench's material. Now, he couldn't help himself, the woman's snappy question to get an idea of the situation left Ryu looking at her for a second. "Broke my arm." For as much as he tried, he couldn't keep the smirk off his face for a second. It was pretty clear what happened, and he had to take a poke at the borderline rhetorical question the woman asked him.

But the moment passed and he looked down at the mangled right hand and shrugged his left shoulder slightly (drawing the left hand closer to him as subtly as possible too), and shook his head. "Boulder dropped on it. Tore muscles. Dislocated shoulder. Broke bones." His voice remained calm, if not a little terse and business like; as though he were reading off a check list. He had to focus on his words, his eyes remained on the woman's as well to give him more to distract himself from just how much it friken hurt; though he refused to let the agony show. He had a demonic beast made of fucking lava burrow into his system through his arm, there was no way in hell he was going to a damn broken arm make him so much as cringe now, it would be just too...pathetic.

Koa raised a brow at the immediate smile that crested the man's face when asked what happened to result in such an injury. It was a smile she knew all too well from proud men and their proud egos. They were always, always doing something that they shouldn't be - or they were doing something a bit silly, resulting an a devastating injury, but were too proud to announce it. "A boulder?" She would say with a 'yeah, sure' face but shrugged it off with a smile and a loose shake of her head. "It must've been one angry boulder." The doctor said casually, walking over to a counter top and searching through the cabinet for materials that could be used on the man. She rustled through drawers and neighboring cabinets until the materials were gathered on a platter like tray.

The doctor would return to the man's side and place the tray onto the bed, beside the man. She would gave the wound, generally referring to the entire mess as a single wound, with a little winch. "Okay, so I'm going to relocate your shoulder back into place. I think that's our first course of action, really." Koa would move a little to the side, hovering both hands between the dislocated shoulder and readying herself to press with the required force. She would proceed to sharply apply pressure, jutting the bone back to its original abode. There would be a sharp jut of pain, a wince might follow, but it was probably nothing in the grand scheme of things. As soon as the bone was relocated, Koa would emanate a healing technique through her hands in order to fortify the skeletal structure of the bone; this practice was an attempt to strengthen the bone, keeping it in the strong and to avoid future dislocations. It was common knowledge, depending on your body and how it dealt with a dislocation, that once it happens - there is always a chance for it to happen again.

Koa would step back from the man, finger against her lip for a moment before walking over to the chemical sink; where she would wash her hands and apply an anti-bacterial gel to rid her skin of any harboring creatures. "I'm Koa, by the way." She would say as the water dripped from her tips, "I need to know your name, boulder-man. Also, if you can remove the sling for me." She smiled and dried off her hands before turning to the man with a continual smile on her face.

If the bone was broken, and if it protruded through the skin, it would need to be fixed asap. The wound wound was at risk of serious infection and as such had to be treated with urgency.

An angry boulder? Perhaps that was the best description given to the situation; assuming that a boulder that was being displaced and stacked upon another for a method of training could be angry. Although, taking it from an animistic point of view, perhaps the boulder was indeed angry with Ryu's displacement of it, and took it's vengeance upon his arm by slipping the wrong direction before he could move his arm out of the way. "Very." He nodded solemnly, watching her riffle though cabinets to gather the medical necessities upon her little tray. He was slightly distracted from the pain his arm radiated all the way up until she stepped over and reminded him of it; still hurt but it wasn't quite as explosive as the arm going back into socket.

His world lit up before he could even take a breath to respond, the popping crunch of the joint made his entire body tense, his left arm nearly reached across for her but he instead gripped the front of his kimono with the wrapped fingers and watched to make sure it didn't lunge out of the false sling at her. And in a blink, it was done, the man cleared his throat slightly to acknowledge the pain, and nodded his head. "Effective." He shifted uncomfortably for a moment when she told him to lose the sling on his left arm, frowning for a moment before he reached up and fumbled with the clasp on his right shoulder with the fingers of his left hand.

It allowed the sleeve to drop down, and his left hand disappeared into the deep triangle of the cuff as he set it on his lap. "Kazehi Ryu." Even with the sleeve released and the left arm down, he wrapped his fingers around the edge of the bench to make sure he knew where the hand was. "Thank you. For treatment." He gave a slight bow to her with only his head and shoulders, making sure not to bump his right arm.

Her worries about the skin being punctured were valid, considering that there were shards sticking out and the flesh of his fingers were mangled down to the bone on the backs, where there was very little to them. Granted, they would heal quickly and he'd be back to his usual routines; especially with the aid of a proper medical professional, but for right now he'd have to fight the urge to reach for things or do things with that hand. "Shirt off?" He cocked an eyebrow at her, not sure if she needed it to come off or not to treat the arm that was busted; but it was one less layer of discretion over his left arm that would make him fidget. It was harder to wrap the arm nearest to his shoulder, and he couldn't quite keep the wrap from slipping through the day either with all his movements. If the shirt came off, it meant he'd have to keep an eye to make sure none of the transmuted flesh the creature left in its wake was showing, and that could get suspicious if this woman was more observant than she let on initially with asking what happened.

Did he have trust issues? Sure as hell did, but they were mainly directed at himself and the random spats of radical behavior that flared up before he could get a handle on them. The beast was always watching, always waiting; it was enough to make anyone want to isolate and contain themselves so someone didn't get hurt by mistake. The little medic was helping him, and he greatly appreciated it, he had nothing against her personally, but it was the fact that most medical practitioners needed to know everything about their patients while giving care. It was something that the towering man didn't want some random stranger knowing then flipping out about when they saw that his left arm wasn't the...proper human anatomy that it should have been.

Koa watched as the man's body tensed up, ironically becoming hard like stone, as the joint was harshly relocated back into its groove. She would smile at her handy work, feeling little to no sympathy for her patient - which was very unlike her - but that wasn't because of her new found outlook on life but rather that this man didn't seem very honest. However, this was her presumption and it was not in her job title to pry on his life, his activities and ultimately the event that had ended up breaking his body in such an awkward and uncomfortable way. She did, however, notice the sudden arm reaching towards - what appeared to be to reach out and grab the doctor - but it instead diverted to grab his kimono instead. Koa would raise her eye brow and give him a 'try me' look. "Very effective." She would smirk moving herself over to one counter, picking a box of stuffed gloves up, and snapping them onto her hands.

Ryu would drop the sleeve, as asked, revealing the extent of the injury. The fingers were an obvious consider but the bone fragments ajar from his elbow were another worry. She would consider the options of surgery, local surgery and so on as to how she could fix this man's body. An eyebrow would raise as she stepped forward, finger gloved with latex placed against her soft lips. She focused, eyes narrowed, smile gone. "It's my job, so you don't need to thank me - nobody ever does." Shea dded politely regarding the honest truth of her day's work which, more often than not, resulted in her being forgotten about and not thanked. She didn't want to be thanked, oh no, that would be too self-indulgent but an acknowledgement of her work would be nice. Ryu would ask if he needed to take his shirt off with a raised brow expression, this would knock the doctor would of her medical trance with a polite reply, "If you could please." After saying that, Koa would return to the man's side and examine the bone fragments protruding from his elbow and the mangled fingers.

"I think what we need to is get a few X-Rays of the damaged areas, see the extent of the damage and then we'll talk about treatment." Koa nodded her head in agreement with herself, reaching over to grab both handles of her tray littered with medical tools. She would return to the counter and open another, nameless, cabinet where a mass audience of small glass bottles of medicine would be revealed. "I'm going to give you a sedative to soften the pain, more than likely you'll end up having muscle spasms that will jut your around and cause you to move it." Koa would return with the little bottle and syringe.

Well, crap. All the large man could really do was sigh and carefully peel off the layer of self-protection he had. Ryu fumbled with the fingers of his left hand as carefully as possible until the fabric of his kimono was open and pooled around his waist. All that was underneath was a sleeveless, skin tight, shirt of dark red that clung to his figure and accentuated the thick muscle of his torso. As he adjusted himself, his eyes checked the line of the shoulder where his skin stopped and the demented arm began; for now it was covered by the bandage and safe from prying eyes. The woman, Koa, brought his attention back from the arm and he stared at her for a moment, the blank mask that was his face broken by a stormy frown. "Everyone has their role to play. Taking your time to fix a man up who had a training accident, that is something worthy of being thanked." As she examined the arm, there was evidence that the skin was attempting to heal itself shut already, primarily around his fingers where the skin had been torn away, leaving raw edges and dangling meat, but a fresh layer of skin where the torn up spots were had already appeared and seemed to be trying to close up the shallow wounds.

The large man stared at the needle and sighed, he really didn't want to be injected; but he wasn't exactly in a situation to refuse. "If it helps, I suppose." He wouldn't feel the stab of the needle, but he was worried that his flesh would turn it aside or it would get bent into his vein or something. "Use a bigger needle, please." He turned slightly, putting a little more of his body between her and his left arm masking it by making look as though he was simply handing her his right arm without moving it. Ryu took a deep breath, his chest expanding and slightly straining the skin tight fabric as the muscles of his shoulder and chest stood out even more than before, then exhaled and did his best to relax everything for when she stuck him. The last thing they both really needed was to have a needle break off by accident and her have to split him open to get it, would be rather counter productive but it was always a possibility considering the density of his muscles. "Shouldn't be a problem. Used to after effects of training." Granted, he'd rather not have to deal with random muscle spasms, he felt as though he was going to have all he could do to control of his left arm; and the last thing he wanted to do was grab a hold of her with the damn thing.

Koa watched, awkwardly, as the man undressed his lavish kimono and revealed a body that was, ehm, quite lovely. She was human and her natural attractions were obviously quite well in tact, despite the gruesome injuries Ryu had contracted from an angry boulder - as Koa refereed to it. The bandages covered one arm, which didn't bother the woman because it wasn't really the afflicted arm, so she kinda of glided over that with subtly. He would surprise the doctor by really, really meaning to thank her for her help. It caused her to stop treatment for a moment and give him a very sincere smile, her eyes lighting up momentarily, before a slight bow of the head. "Thank you for the thanks!" She would exclaim with a small chuckle, happy to receive recognition for her assistance, no matter how big or small it was to the man in reality. The needle made its way through Ryu's flesh and the fluids flowed into his blood stream at a frightening pace.

After the pleasantries were concluded, at least for now, the woman's eyes would divert from the very distracting body of Ryu and down to the knuckled; which, much to her surprise, began to rapidly recuperate at an extraordinary rate. She squinted her eyes and widened her mouth in shock, moving towards his groin area where his hand was near - presumably? It'd be awkward if her face was all over his groin by accident. "What on earth is happening to your hand?" Koa would move back alittle, confused by absolutely intrigued, by the rapidness of how his flesh healed over.

The doctor would step back further now, finger over her lips and staring at Ryu with analytic eyes. "Are you a medical shinobi?"

The towering man gave her a nod and did his best not to tense at the last second as the needle pierced his flesh, the muscles quivering with the urge to reject the foreign object daring to pierce his thick hide! Keeping himself distracted was a bit easier now, his eyes studied the sincerity of her smile and the joy that entered her eyes for receiving the appreciation that he gave for her doing what she did. Just because it was thankless, didn't mean that there couldn't be someone thankful for the help; people who abused the people who supported them were the worst in Ryu's opinion. No more needed to be said on the matter, he just allowed a small smile to curve his lips while she happily continued her work; well, at least until she recognized the tissue regeneration.

Well, now it got awkward.

All he could do was sigh at the silly questions, really. "No. Genetics." It was hard to describe to someone, or even tell someone, that due to a mutation in heritage from his mother's side of the family it left him less likely to be hurt, more resilient, and also allowed him to heal faster than normal. His father trained him special because of it, just remembering some of those sessions made Ryu shudder slightly with a bit of a grimace.

Though he was not a dumb or simple man, Ryu preffered action to words; considering himself a scholar of deed. His fewer words held greater meaning when he demonstrated their worth. It's what he believed in. Of course, that meant in order to explain the situation to Koa properly he would have to show her an injury that healed correctly. He fumbled into a pouch tucked into the folds of his clothing with the fingers of his left hand, pulling out a kunai and a pad of gauze. "Why I do not come here often." Before she could stop him, the man gouged himself in the stomach with the weapon.

Now, most would consider this an insane act considering that seppuku was excruciating; the tissue there was some of the more sensitive to cut or stab wounds. Yet as the blade bit in and split a wide slice across his stomach, Ryu showed no apparent reaction to the pain; no flinch or wince, no twitch of muscle that would be common with such things. The skin was simply slit open along with his undershirt, and quickly fumbling the kunai to a backwards grip he patted the injury with the gauze pad to keep it clear of blood so the medic could see.

A couple seconds later, the wound simply knit shut. It left a clean line a shade or so lighter than his skin tone, but did so without a burst of steam or fantastic zipper motion; it simply closed and fused the cells back together. "It's why I thank you." He tucked the kunai back into the pouch he'd pulled it from and left the bloody gauze resting on his thigh. She wasn't just fixing his arm, she was keeping him from becoming a cripple; his body was trying to heal the damage despite the disrepair that the arm was in; and if it did his arm would remained mangled. So, he wasn't being decietful or even prideful; he had swallowed his pride by even coming here to get his arm fixed. The wound was painful, and if asked he would have said as much, but he could deal with the pain and put it aside so that he could continue to function. Perhaps people would say he was too proud to show 'weakness' but pain is not weakness, it was weakness to be limited by the pain. "So. Treatment?" He cocked his eyebrow at her and tilted his head; that was what he came here for after all, and she did say that she had to look at the wound in full. "Prevention of criple now, explanations later. Promise." Surely that would give some incentive to move this process alone.

Or so he hoped.

What on earth.

Koa would step back in confusion, unable to match the shinobi's natural speed before he plunged the blade into his stomach. The sharp kunai pierced his flesh and maneuvered along his flesh, creating a horizontal wound that would shock and confuse the doctor. She, with clasped hands over her mouth, tried to move towards Ryu to prevent him from stabbing himself but, like she said, his speed was unrivaled. But before anything could be said, the wound that had been so finely cut open was immediately repairing itself. It did so at an incredible rate, which wasn't shared by what you would call minor injuries such as his hands and elbow. They regenerated at a slower pace. perhaps whatever his ability was, it judged a wound based on its threat to the host and acted accordingly.

Her brow burrowed into her face, still confused, but somewhat intrigued. The man would, vaguely, hint as to what kind of ability he had but wouldn't go on any further. It was clear to the doctor, a veteran of the healing arts, that at the rate of regeneration if a broken bone was to heal in the wrong place then that patient would suffer unimaginably. The bone would have to be broken and then adjusted if this happened. "Okay." Koa said fiercely, storming over to the man, dropping her hands to her side as she approach. She would drop to her height as she grappled onto the elbow. There was no time to be delicate, or even pleasant, the bone had to be forcibly realigned at this very moment rather than being put into a sling and left over time to heal. The injection that had previously been inserted into Ryu's arm would begin to take effects, rather quickly numbing his arm somewhat.

The doctor, with brutish force, would shove the protruding bone with gloved fingers back into the flesh. It would probably take the man surprise and incredible pain. The bone move back, scraping against another segment of bone. It took a few attempts, to be fair, something that the man wouldn't probably appreciate given the level of pain he would be experiencing. When Koa finally had the bone in place, she would grapple her gloved paws around his relatively muscular arm and hold it in a steady place. "I'm going to wait till your body patches you up, I'll hold the bone in place until then..."

Koa would remain steady, her body close to his, "You don't have to explain anything to me... Sometimes it's better not to say anything at all, you can't trust many people in this world, Ryu." She would say with a sincere smile, not wanting the man to tell her anything that could compromise his integrity as a shinobi of Iwagaure. Although it was fair of her to assume that this ability came from some sort of forbidden arts, much like Koa's unnatural chakra that stemmed from forbidden ninjutsu.

After the woman's initial shock, he watched the look in her eyes go from fascinated horror to one of understanding. The realization overtook her and she instantly got to work rather than saying anything else to him. Ryu found himself respecting her more for it as well, her decision to act upon the demonstration meant that she had levels of understanding and processing that few others seemed to have. Then again, she kind of was a medic, so she had probably seen the results of something healing improperly while there was still a bone or some other problem that was just as bad if not worse.

On another note: H-O-L-Y. FUCK.

The woman digging the bone back into his body hurt, even more than he could keep in check, a deep snarl ripped out of his chest as his left hand cinched down; the talons bit into the padded fabric of the exam bench and the metal beneath, causing it to screech in it's own pain. The several attempts it took her to get his arm back in order felt as though it took forever, the red haze stretching from the corners of his vision to encompass his sight fully; he wanted to destroy, to demolish and share his pain and rage with the world. In his mind, he heard the shriek of the creature struggling harder to get out while he was distracted, he could smell something smoldering and burning as his eyes focused on Koa reading her lips and trying to hear what she said over the roaring in his head. His left arm was giving off heat enough that the fabric of the exam table and his linen bandage both where starting to blacken and crackle into ashes even as he started to get control of himself. His breathing went from snarling panting to deeper, meditative breaths though it did take several minutes of them sitting there staring at each other.

Eventually, he was able to hear more than blood rushing through his ears and the roar of the irritating lizard burrowed into his system, his breath was apparently rattling even with the deep, and slow motions he was taking to fill his lungs. Opening his mouth, the man intended to talk but got a crackling growl; trying again a couple times after clearing his throat resulted in his voice being a bit deeper and slightly thicker, but at least a proper vocalization that words could be understood. "Ow. Very much ow." Licking his dried lips and giving a bit of an abashed talk, wondering if his body temperature was up or if the woman's hands were colder underneath those gloves than he remembered.
