Good evening, my fellow Shinobi in Arms.
Today marks a momentous occasion. For years now there has been some discord over our precious battlesystem, unique among all of the Forum RPs out there, in that it has been rather fangless with the implementation of the Immortality Card and more recently the Death Token system. It started with the Killswitch, which seemed like it would be a nice medium between RPers and PvPers until, inevitably, situations started to rise between players with these switches tuned opposite of each other facing off in combat. People wanted to experience the System they were using for their character story arcs in actual combat, leading to duels that had no risk giving them confidence to eventually lead up to an actual fight where only one character had the Killswitch on, being ganged on by a bunch of characters that did not.
It would be hypocritical of a PvP website that just defended Character Death to have a neutered battle system that doesn’t actual allow for death without jumping through a lot of hoops. So, Admin has decided that we’re cutting back towards some Old School stuff. After deliberations we cooked up a system we think will appeal to everyone enough to breath life back into our bones, and preform a most righteous spell of Necromancy. In this we hope to appeal to older players who left when the Battlesystem became tedious with constantly worrying about Killswitches, or I.Cards, or Death Tokens. To bring back players with the mathematical crunch skills needed to mod the complexities that takes most newer players months to years to figure out.
Naruto was originally about military factions constantly prodding each other through spying and assassination; the spectral hand of death forever wavering over their heads with each mission. Where a C-Rank mission could become a B to A rank mission simply with the addition of a hardcore mercenary from the Mist Village. It’s time we pull back towards the old styles of Ninpocho that made us famous among forum RPs, but we’re also gonna add a little spin to things as well.
From this day forward, Death, is for everyone.
Along with this, we’ve made some Travel Rule changes to keep Contract Searches from becoming PvP battlegrounds, given that Summoning still play a major role in combat these days:

Death System
- Forced Kills are back, but only within Outer Village Zones, and Village Gates
- Inner Village Zones do not have a Forced Kill option for modded battles. Any fight within an Inner Village Zone will not count towards death no matter the outcome.
- The Exception to the above is if you are a Missing Nin/Mercenary that has [Forced Entry/Exit]. Forced Kill is always an option for you and against you.
- Forced Kill within a village gains a 24 hour timer after the mod's end, allowing a Mednin with Battlefield Medicine to join the thread and use their ability to change Forced Kill into Victim's Choice - Live.
- Forced Entry/Exit, and Going Missing, no longer have a cooldown.
- Topics started prior to a Forced Entry cannot have a Forced Kill outcome if a Bmod is called.
- Going Missing will have a 2 hour timer. The fastest you can Go Missing or Force Exit a village is 1 Hour.

Travel Rules Redux said:Travel Rules
1. In order to travel to another country, you must make an exit post anywhere in the country you are in. You may then make an entry post anywhere in the country you are traveling to two hours later (one if you have a Half the Time card).
2. You cannot make a post within a village to enter/exit unless you are a member of that village. You must use an Outer Village Zone or the village gates.
3. If you are entering/leaving a country that is not yours, a member of the village of that country may prevent your entry within two hours (one if you have a Half the Time card) by posting in the entry/exit topic to stop you. Otherwise you are able to post your arrival thread in the country you are moving to/start posting in the new country.
4. As long as you are in a country, you may join or create a thread anywhere in that country, with the following exceptions.
4a. You may not join any modded threads begun prior to your arrival in the country. Modded threads are defined here specifically as 'threads that have a modded battle taking place.' Events are subject to the event moderator(s)' discretion.
4b. You may not join another person's Contract Search thread without their permission to join.
For everyone who still has Limited Plot Armor and Immortality Cards, please refer to this thread to get your ASP back in full.
