Natsukawa Avaron|
Kaito[/col]
Two would depart, a strange woman with a streak of crimson in her hair that entered several hours earlier who seemed to call herself Avaron, a denizen of Tea Country. Behind her would be a man well-known to most: Kaito, the leader of the Cabal that held the village hostage for 72 hours before they met defeat in the Toraono Dojo. These halls would be somewhat familiar because of that, this being the last passageway both inside and out of the village. Others tunnels were surely being dug but none with the same girth or stability. Kaito wore a pair of thin bracelets on his wrists, they were silver and narrow, so narrow in fact that one would have thought that he could physically overpower this restraint. However, there were runic markings on these bracelets that heralded back to the times of the Rangers where men and women were proficient hunters and trappers. Their expertise in hunting Ancients in particular was unparalleled.
Avaron was not a Ranger but she had access to their methods and their tools like every other Sovereign. She tugged at the links that united Kaito's wrists impatiently as she demanded that he trudge onward. A lit fag clenched between his teeth, the former Cabalist breathed through his cancer stick calmly but he had the expression of a man not afraid of death going to the gas chamber. "You realize that they won't miss me, right?" Saito announced as he continued onward. "And no amount of propaganda will change the outcome in a fight,"</B><B> he continued. It was true, he had already lost once and it was not for lack of zeal. He hated Sunagakure for their lacking ambition and their complicity in the maelstrom's effect.
"Keep it moving old man," she grunted as she approached the gates. Once there she did her best impression of a blank look and brought her voice up a half-octave. She seemed less threatening when she took the role of an airhead. "To-tally awe-some!" Her voice sang as she announced herself as a bounty hunter and Kaito as her quarry. Neither difficult things to believe in this day and age. "Like... laters!"
