Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Everyone was there as requested. The Jounin leading the mission was unsure as to how much they really needed him, it seemed he was only there to lead because he was of a higher rank.

His name was Korekiyo, he had been a long serving member of the Main Branches tracking unit and had proven himself in many times past. When he looked at the pair of Chuunin's and the group of Genin around him he did however second guess his initial assessment.

He recognized none of them and they didn't exactly look like they were members of the same division as himself.

"Roll call. Yoringa?

A female wearing combat trousers and boots, a Cloud Chuunin vest and a body-length leather trenchcoat raised her hand silently.

"Unkei"

A second female, wearing shorts, boots, a t-shirt and with a belt which seemed to have around about twenty kunai hanging off of it answered "here", her Kunai jingled as she moved, hardly anything good for sneaking.

"Katsumoto"

A younger boy raised his eyebrows, it was his first mission outside of the village and he was both nervous and excited "Yep, I'm here" he answered. His clothes were all shinobi attire, he was clearly taking this very seriously.

"Masayuki"

Another boy, this time in more casual wear raised his hand.

"Adsumichi"

A female genin this time wearing standard issue genin uniform, she also simply raised her hand.

"Rirakkusu"

Jounin: Oka Korekiyo
Chuunin 1: Ogasawara Yoringa
Chuunin 2: Shimizu Unkei
Genin 1: Sazama Katsumoto
Genin 2: Hamada Masayuki
Genin 3: Satow Atsumichi
Genin 4: Shita Rirakkusu

"Here.." Ri mumbled, it was far to early for him to be doing anything. It was cool how he would get to go on his first mission outside of the village and all, but did it have to be so damn early? And he felt like an outcast since his outfit was so much different than everyone else's. Most people in the group had their ninja tools and clothing meant for mobility, what did he have? Nice loose clothes, a hat that he'd rather die than lose, and weapons that weren't concealed what so ever. He was good with them of course, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he ever used them.

"So since we're all here, could we get going?" He asked as he became a bit impatient. Whenever they got moving, he'd stick to the back and try and sneak some sips of sake that he had hidden in his bag. It was the only thing that would be able to keep him awake and happy on a mission that had them up at this time.

Korekiyo checked the last name off of his list, but as he did so he received a somewhat impatient remark.

"I hate to break this to you but this job is going to require long periods of sitting around doing nothing but staring out at fields and hoping that you're the lucky bastard who managed to win the lottery and spot the buggers. Alertness is key, alertness when there is nothing to keep you alert except for yourself. Trust me when I say that counting blades of grass will feel like a good idea in a day or so."

He frowned at the boy, but could see he hadn't exactly inspired a great deal of enthusiasm. Not that he was going for that.

"At any rate we can be off. Lets get a move on."

They headed to the gates where a pair of ANBU guards, one with red and one with white hair, both had white masks with a red teardrop underneath the left eye.

Once cleared they were allowed to leave the village, their mission, boring as it was, was yet to be done.

Ri lost any amount of enthusiasm he could've had as he heard what they'd be doing for the mission. He never had any faith in his luck, so hearing that he'd need to have luck in order to have a good time, was certainly not pleasing. But he'd have to do it anyway, it wasn't like he could have dodged his duties as a shinobi forever, and at least it wouldn't just be cleaning some hot springs like the last time he received a mission.

While they were being checked at the gate, Ri looked to the other members of the team. It didn't seem like any of them would be worth looking at though. The two chuunin were wearing strange outfits that threw him off, and the only other female on the team was likely around his age, so not much to look at. Oh well, at least they'd get to leave now, so there would be something to look at to keep himself from thinking about how bored or tired he was.
