Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Tatara rolled his head in his neck and let it crack just before popping his fingers. Oh yes he was ready and prepared to get this done with. Two days had he waited in case anyone would miss Takehaya, his last target and suspect anything from him sniffing around. It was definetly dangerous to venture here alone, but it couldn't be helped he was all alone in this village afterall, so getting help was no option for him as he was now. Maybe if he did this right he would get some attention from the right people. He didn't plan on kiss anyone's ass, he wanted to work hard to achieve, but as a non native citizen he had it harder, no connections were made yet and so something had to be done about it. Yet this was not about making friends or superiors, for him this was about doing the right thing and that included handing in a band of thugs who were causing the population of this place to suffer under them. Surely if an example was made that would atleast scare potential follow up criminals off from trying. So Tatara was wandering around the Grand Palais again, in a new outfit to cnceal himself and make his appearance fitting of this place. Aside from the had he had replaced everything he wore last time, as he couldn't bring himself to try and clean the vomit from his pants and shoes, so he discarded all of them. Sometimes even he wasted resources but a pair of shoes was nothing he'd cry for, his mind was on his goal and he was brimming with confidence, something that hadn't let him down yet, so there was no reason for doubt, even if the last time his Jutsu didn't quite hit the mark, but he' rather not talk about it. He made his way through the Palais, feeling just that little bit uncomfortable about bot knowing some of the streets and alleys. At the same time that he was afraid, he wanted to explore them though as he dubbed himsef a researcher, he wanted to know, afterall this was the main reason he came to Sunagakure, he wanted to know more and execute on it. From the information he had gotten, he knew where to go, yet his eyes were constantly moving, taking in his surroundings without fail as he moved forward. On his way the thougt occured to him that he probably should have been dong some more training by now, he wasn't the strongest ninja and his technique was lacking as he was new to all of this and yet he had neglected it a little. He who needed it. There was no more room for those thoughts though as the Shinobi finally got close to his goal, the old warehouse the gang was supposedly hiding at. Tatara didn't doubt that the gang were here, or atleast using it as a hideout, so far his information had held true, now the difficult part would begin, he hadn't hotten information on how many there were or if they had any abilities, but if he had to guess, those guys wouldn't pose a danger apart from owning weapons. Ninjas wouldn't have to rely on small scale criminal acts to live their life, atleast he didn't think so and if he was one, he would have probably been visited by the nice guys from the ANBU. So the main problem seemed to be figuring out if the had any tricks to use, maybe some sort of alarm system or traps for visitors, but all of this remained speculation and he wasn't the best at finding out in secret either, not like he had some sort of vision that aowed him to look through walls and sensing presences needed work aswell. So, in the end the best way of action for his current skills seemed to be brute force. He had reached the warehouse, but was leaned against one of the walls on the backside. There wasn't any windows here so it seemed he would definetly need to use the front entrance. Atleast here he knew the would be someone standing guard and knocking them out was the first move to make. He knew how he wanted to approach this, he had brought enough rope to restrain atleast five people, it wasn't the strongest material one could think of, but it would atleast keep these guys out of his way for a while. So he gave the whole Waterprison usage a second try, since it didn't quite work as intended during the last mission. This time he first formed the handsigns for another jutsu, one he knew would help him out for his cause as it for one created water for him to use and secondly gave a possible distraction from them noticing him. The two had been sitting on the ground, semingly bored they were playing card games instead of being on edge during their guard duty, Tatara's guess was that they didn't get visitors very often, all the better for him. So he formed his signs and caused a downpoor of rain over the area above and around the guards, who were only able to look up in confusion. Why would it suddenly out of the blue start to rain in suna? They looked around themselves, guarding their head with their hands in an effort to not get to wet, but before they could really figure out what was going on, Tatara, still hidden, cast a water prison around the both of them. Through the rain and the water surrounding them, they didn't make any sounds that reached Tatara himself, but from around the corner he watched as they eventually seemed to loose conciousness. He released the technique and went over to drag them to where he had hidden, tieing them up back-to-back with eachother. Luckily he hadn't taken long and he realized before becomming a ninja he would've never been able to take out two guys alone, how things changed. But there was no time to think about such things, he look through their pockets and took a key that one of them had to open the door. He was on edge, his ears listening intently on any possible movement, but for the time being he seemed to be safe. Or so he thought, the old metal gate made some cracking and squeking sounds and he didn't go unnoticed afterall as someone approached him from the rather dark warehouse. "Huh? What are ya doin', idiots? I told ya you're on duty today don't you ask me for more booze..." Tatara by this point had hidden just outside the doors, prepared with some more rope, jumping on the man that came out, immediately strangling him with the rope from behind. Once he had forced the struggling man down to his knees, he gave him a quick chop to the back of his neck, hitting a weak spot, causing the man to fall over unable to move and barely coughing for air. Ok, no time to tie him up aswell, it was necessary to advance or the others that were possibly inside would catch on. Finally inside, Tatara was greeted with mountains of furniture and other stuff that builded wall like structures. Those seemed to somehat split the large area inside into a few smaller ones. It was build like a small labyrinth, but nothing to get lost in, maybe it was more fitting to say it lacked structure. This whole thing was in better shape then he'd have expected, but it seemed awfully empty, that was until he found the rest of the guys at the back end of the hall. The strategy seemed easy, use his Rain Dance technique again and take them out, the only thing bothering him was the fact that there was some throne like structure standing at the wall behind those thugs and it was empty. Well, they would have to tell him about it. So far so good, he casted his Rain Dance to annoy and confuse them, just to use the water to take them out with the Water Whip jutsu. He rushed over to the guys he smacked around and cut up to try and question them, but in the same moment he heard a voice comming from where he himself had come. "I leave you guys alone for once and you let some guy come in here and take all of you out? Idiots." Tatara immediately turned towards the tall hulking figure. The person speaking had big muscular arms, but also a large belly. Short, dirty hair resided on his head and a menacing glare was directed toward the genin."Well that was easier then expected..." The doctor mumbled and turned to face his opponent-to-be properly. He got immediately ready to form some more handsigns, but as he did so, the large man came rushing towrds him. Then everything happened quickly, he hit an attack with a freshly summoned Water Whip on the man, but not even the resulting cut on the mans shoulder made him flinch and he let Tatara take the hardest hit he'd ever taken in what felt like he punched a hole in his stomach, to send him flying into one of the nearby wardrobes. It wan't empty, oh no. Its doors broke as he flew into it and everything inide fell on him - mostly books of all shapes and forms. Tatara knew he was in trouble, some of his ribs seemed to be damaged all-be-it not broken and he had problems breathing, catching his breath as if he had just been about to drown. What happened he wouldn't realize until later. A faint voice seemed to speak to him, it was sweet and girlish, but it was clearly there in his head. Use me... He turned his head to look at one particular book as if out of instinct, he for some reason knew that this book was what he was supposed to use, so he grabbed it and he could hear a distant. Now drown him! At this point if he didn't want to take another of those punches, he might aswell try to cast another jutsu. So he did, he cast [Grand Waterfall] with the book laying on his stomach, but instead of creating the water from his body, the book began to levitate just above him and opened on his own. He could feel immediately how his chakra was drained according to the Jutsu he cast, but as water started to burst forth from this strange book, he could feel how more and more chakra was drained as more and more water was released. The torrent kept shooting out towards the gang leader Morioto who got eventually taken off his feet, landing on his back in all the water that had been released. He didn't know what to say as the book closed ontop of his chest in the same comdition as he foung it, it wasn't wet in the slightest. What he knew was only that he somehow did this and that that he drained most of his chakra with just this. In the back of his head he could clearly hear a voice saying, Good boy. His body all weak from the rapid chakra usage and his chest and belly still hurting, he got up slowly, watching Morioto cough as he himself tried to get up. Stumbling he fell ontop of his opponent, pulling out one of his kunai. "They want you alive, but I'm sure they won't be mad with me if I take your arms out." He spoke with heavy breaths still a he rammed his Kunai into one of the guys arms, cutting his muscles in a way he wouldn't be able to move his arm for the next time. The guy howled out in pain but Tatara had to stab the other one too quickly and he managed to do so just as he was thrown of the back of Morioto. The big guy was angry, but he soon had to realize that one was not to fuck with anatomical knowledge. "You ninja bastard! FUCK! FUCK! FUCKING FUCK! FUUUUUUUUCKKK---" He cursed as he tried to move his arms effortlessly. Tatara grabbed the strange book that seemingly had helped him and turned to Morioto and spoke still pained. "You have two options asshole, either you make it easier for the both of us and walk on your own like my dog, or I have to drag you out of here after knocking you out." His opponent let out an angry touthy grin and only let out the last words the two would exchange. "Ha, fuck you." So Tatara ha to let his anatomical knowledge speak again to incapacitate him again, this time far less painful but effective none the less. He made sure that his grunts were all unable to follow them before dragging the guy out slowly and under pain. If not for some habitants of the district who were happy to help carry Morioto after he had been defeated, he'd probably spend all day getting to deliver him, which would have been a pain, especially after he his mind was completly on that weird book. Just having it under his shirt he could feel some sort of chakra eminate from it, it made only sense that Morioto and his people took it for a normal book if they couldn't sense chakra. After delivering the fatso, he decided to do his physical check-up alone, as nothing seemed terribly damaged and then he'd spend more then enough time with this book...
