Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

In the dead of night, the door seemed tempting to the little pet as it allowed its eyes to glance around the empty room. It was clear that there was nothing to be gained from this, and there was nothing that could be achieved by lingering around here. As it paced the small paws gently tapped across the wooden floor of the place that it called home, a pony tail in the front of the dogs hair caught its attention as it passed a mirror. A low growl came free from the lips of the dog as it looked at itself. This was beyond a joke right now in its own mind.

Punished for being cute seemed to make sure that he suffered for a long time, the hair that it had tied up into the pony tail shape as it looked at the reflection that came free. Snarling its head shaking furiously as it managed to wiggle the top knot free with little hassle. Deciding that this was the last straw the dog allowed itself to try and get out of the door only to find that it had been locked by the big humans when they had gone to sleep. It seemed they were doing everything In their abilities to stop it from managing to escape.

Finally, the dog had snapped, something in its brain had finally broken and the treatment of the young girl that called the dog hers was enough here to cause issues. It had finally made sure that it was free from the night, that it was out of the way and away from this over caring family. As it paced the halls a breeze finally lashed at the back of its fur, tugging at it and making it snap to attention from the cold. Its head turned around to check where the breeze had been coming from, it seemed that right now there was a small chance of freedom.

It seemed that where the humans had managed to leave the window open and this was the chance that was needed. It was true that right now the wind seemed to offer a way out of the suffering that the dog had come to understand in this time. As it looked around It finally found a small stool and started to nudge it across to where the window had been in that split second before jumping up. It seemed that with the window being so close in that split second it was close. Crouching down it pounded upwards and out the window. It seemed that it had managed to escape in this split second. Freedom had managed to come to the pet animal finally, in those split seconds it had become clear that it had managed to escape. In that split second the world was now open, and a family lost its pet. It was now down to the ninja that would be assigned this mission to find the lost animal. Though if it was willing to find the dog after it wanted to be found is a completely different matter.

Seriously, this seemed like a never ending conflict between him and the request lady, he had only tried to pick up her mission scrolls to get a better look at him, her fault she tried to stop him and made him drop all of them. So anyways, again he was left with an the lowest ranked mission she had and he was geting a little annoyed by it, afterall it wasn't like he was 12 anymore, babysitting and catching run-away animals was way beneath him. Yes, today he had to make sure he'd get an animal back to their owners, their daughter had cried for half an hour when Kuro came to ask for clues on the dog and the genin needed to promise he would be extra careful with the 'cute little dog' as she had called it. So now he was left to walk the streets of the maple district, talking to one or the other citizen if any of them had seen a stray dog running around, maybe even causing trouble. Initially he didn't make any sort of progress, there too many people on the streets who were just passing by. Eventually he'd meet a Member of the Aburame clan who told him that someone had thrown over some trashcans further down the street, but that it had also seemingly happened during the night. Well if the dog had been here at night, then it could be he was already gone by now, but the place wasn't to far away from his home yet, maybe he was still around here, could be he got outside by accident and got lost? No then he'd probaby have returned by now, alone he wouldn't get far either ways.

So the izanagi continued his search and only came to a halt when he spotted a playground almost at the edge of the district. Maybe some of the kids had seen him? Kids usually had more attention for this then adults and were more curious anyways, so there was a chance they knew about something, right? RUshing over and eventually jumping down from one of the surrounding trees, he could feel sand under his feet. Great so he was here now, only to find some... He looked up and at the kids that were playing here. They all seemed kinda off, it couldn't be... "Hey brats you alright?" That probably wasn't the thing to ask right now as they all seemed afraid of him, a wild, punk looking guy who just jumped down a tree. "Alright now, there's no reason to be afraid of me, alright? I just want to know if any of you have seen a lonely dog without a master, I am looking for it, it's lost." He tried to make his nicest face as some parents were looking at him suspiciously as if he was a criminal. Welp this was the lot he was dealt, ain't noone progressing with complaining, so her kept smiling.

It seemed that the boy that had approached the kids had got himself some attention though he was very direct with them and though he tried to make talk it seemed that his conversation skills were on the lacking side of life. But that would come with time and experience it would take anyone a while to get used to talking to people but he had started the conversation off on probably what would be considered a bad start just by a quick conversation. It had drawn the attention of the kids straight to the man and his words that he asked instantly.

“We haven’t seen any mister, but normally if they are around here they will be by the food shops. They throw their food out at night and that’s where all those pets without owners go. It might be worth looking there”

The kid replied quickly as he considered the words that the man had spoken, it was true that normally now of the day they would be giving out scraps the way to keep the animals of leaf that had been abandoned. It was the villages way of making sure that they were looked after and kept ok so that they did not starve, it was rare for them to be discarded but it did happen to the shame of the village. It was something that most people would not look at or not even think about. It was clear that the village decided to turn its eyes away from this one and just let it happen, a sad fate indeed but one that had taken place.

“That would be the best bet sir, is to check out that location. Normally if there is food to be had their will be the dogs and cats there. Though sometimes it can turn into a bit of a scrap kinda situation in that place. It is well known that it the food ground, better check out there mista!”

It seemed that both kids had agreed to the same answer for this one, that the best place to go would be to the shops that sold the food, it seemed the dogs had gotten used to the fact that there was free food being offered at these locations. Though how much food they could get would be a different matter depending on how busy the places had been that day during the service.

The dog that had escaped had found its own small group of friends would be a good word for them. They were heading threw the ally at quick pace as the time drew near to food. Since the time of escaping it seemed that the dog had become one with the wild and had gotten used to scavenging for food and making a leaving as well as fighting when it was required. The fur though looked dirty that it had been clean once the dogs now allowed themselves to sit down outside the shops back doors and wait for the food to arrive in order to fill themselves up for the day.

He held his chin in his right hand, leaning on his arm, so that was it, hue? Time to make a run for it then so he wouldn't have to search to far into the later parts of the day. True he had heard of what was happenig to the stray cats and dogs around the city. He didn't care for them much, though it was good they got attention, if only he'd known if they got actually cared for, he imagined them to be dirty and more aggresive then the more domesticated ones. So Kuro told the kids goodbye and left, vanishing into the trees he came from. Now where to search first? Starting from the roofs of the village might be a good idea, observing sounded good to find an animal, here was to hope it was recognizable and still well, shoulda been smart enough atleast if he escaped the house of his owners.

Rooftop after rooftop was passed until he finally reached the right district and for the moment got down from the above and down onto the street. From here it didn't seem like any dog would approach, not in broad daylight atleast, there were far to many people around, ninjas and else and it woulda probably raised a ruckus if there were hungry dogs running around, so the goal was to go around and look for the quiet spots, backstreets and yards behind shops where the dogs could do what they wanted without much of anyone caring if at all. Good plan set so up he went again and into the first backstreet behind a ramen shop and a few other restaurants. His first try seemed to be unsuccessful, nothing out of the ordinary except for a lonely cat that got scared when he landed at which it hissed at him before running off. So up again and try again! But this time he almost slipped when he heard a dogs barking from down below. It didn't exactly sound what he would have expected from his target, but ths could be his chance at being done with this job faster then he had hoped. But ofcourse t asn't quite that easy, upon arrival he jumped directly infront of what was the source of the barking, only to find himself infront of a dog so small he wouldn't even have considered it a dog. "Well buddy, you're not who I was hoping I would find. Then What were you barking for, hue?" He leaned down and look at the small dog. Whatever it had been the dog was barking for, maybe he wanted attention to get food, Kuro wouldn't find out about, 'cause in the next moment the dog looked scared and peed on the ground, only for it to hit Kuro's shoes, who immediatly jumped backwards and hissed at the small animal, "Hey what the hell was that for you piece of..." He was interrupted mid sentence as the dog started whincing and Kuro could hear a displeased growl from behind him. He wasn't sure what to say at this point, things were going against him and he wouldn't even complain at this point.

Finally, it seemed that the boy was getting somewhere with this hunt for the dogs, but of course the group would be sticking together, as they feasted on the food that was put in front of them they enjoyed the breakfast that they were now feasting into. It was clear that they had been lucky today and managed to get some good scraps inside of their stomachs, something that they were not about to argue about at all. As they feasted down on the food they enjoyed the times it seemed that today would be a good day to say the least.

It was at this exact moment that they would finally run into the sound that was all too familiar. It was the sound of a dog that was near by giving out the sounds that would be common to those in trouble. It was something that none of them wanted to hear at that moment and it was something that they had to react to. The group had turned around to each other looking at each other for confirmation before the pack leader stopped eating and nodded its head down slightly. A few small barks went out between them as they decided to make sure that the work they would be doing was underway it was time to go make sure another dog was looked after.

It was clear from all the noise that the pack was now on its way to investigate what was happening and where the original noise was coming from. Unsure of what to do and what would be expected the group prepared for the worst in this case. Though as they turned the corner they found the boy already with another two dogs and stuck in that situation. It was clear that another dog had come to the aid, now with a bigger group around the boy the snarling started as they dropped their heads and their body at that moment in time. Watching the boy without letting their eyes blink. Mouths dripping with saliva in that moment.

Though what the kid would spot if he was being observant would be the dog he was looking for the one that would see his mission completed in the middle of the pack. It was clear that they had a lot of work to be done to save their friend. But even the little pup that was missing and that had Kuro searching for had come to him, maybe it was luck but right now with the number of wild dogs that had surrounded him it was something that he could not ignore.

It was clear that they would try to encircle him, to scare him away from the situation as they tried to protect their own. The question that still needed to be answered was why would Kuro get the dog that needed to be returned home. Without causing an incident it would be something that he would have to get himself threw and get the outcome of this mission that he really wanted to achieve.

So this was it hue? Another og had ome to save the smaller one, although this one wasn't quite as small as the previous one. Kuro closed his eyes and took a deep breath so how woud he get out of this? The new arrival didn't seem to want to attack just yet, scaring Kuro away was the goal and way to rescue his friend. If it was just two dogs, he was sure he could shake them off easily or so he thought, but he didn't account for the two lready present dogs' noises to attract more of them, a lot more to be precise. Ok, no problem he would only need to rush of into the direction with only one dog present, that one he could shake of easily even if he were to get attacked by it. Atleast that was his initial thought, but among the group of approaching dogs, his eyes fell onto a particular dog, while looking around for the best way out. Oh man, this all was a really bad joke, here was the dog he was looking for? In and of itself that was good news, but how was he supposed to get rid of the ones around him? He went into thinking, unlike them he could use the walls and above to his advantage, but to get to the pet he would still need to get rid of the pack or he would have to jump into them and fight them, second option didn't seem too enticing to try, so other messures had to be taken. As the dogs drew in on him, he barely jumped away from being bitten and landed on the wall, but intea of falling of he used chakra to walk on it like he would on the ground. Ofcourse he steped back again to be out of reach and though to himself again while the dogs started barking upside the wall he was standing on. Ok now to look for a fitting distration to get the dog packs focus of him. First of he reached inside his jacket to pul out two regular shuriken. Animal lovers might had stopped him if they saw this, but he didn't actualy plan on attacking the dogs, all he wantd to do was divert attention and to do that he threw both shuriken in different directions, until both of them got stuck in a wall a few meters down the alley. Two dogs turned their heads, but that was nearly enough to get the reaction he wanted, instead the dogs seemed to understand that the shuriken were weapons and growled even louder. Kuro though was already further with his thoughts, allthewhile not taking his eyes of the target, which was the dog to find and get back to its family. Eventually he reached into his pocket again and pulled out two balloons. He didn't wanted to use them, because if he failed and it didn't work, he would only make matters much worse, but now he had to. So he took the balloons and threw them downwards with all might, hitting two large dogs, which caused the balloons to pop and spread water over the pack below him. Now was his time! He rushed down while the water was still spreading and the dogs couldn't see clearly. He grabbed his target and landed on the ground, before immediately jumping back up again towrds the next wall. by now the dogs were furious, but since he didn't want to hurt them or anger them further he ran up a building to get away from them. He had grabbed the dog he was supposed to get back, now everything would calm down right? Well, not until the dog had to piss off Kuro one more time and bit him right in his arm with all might, but the ninja wouldn't let go.

The group of dogs went through their combat quickly and efficiently it seemed that right now they had issues that would not quickly go away under the direct threat of the new man that had arrived, it seemed he wasn’t intent and instead wanted to start a fight with the group of dogs. That was ok with them and they would make sure that he tried to suffer for at least attempting to hold his own against them while they were on a joy ride. It was apparent that right now they needed to make sure that their damage that they would do would see him run and fleet.

It seemed that just as the gang was about to strike out they were then attacked once more, it seemed that the boy had managed to have tricks up their sleeves that even they did not know, taken aback by the sudden attack it was not expected nor did the dog group have a cover or reaction for it. Instead they had to roll with the dice so to speak and go along with the damage that had been done a few of the dogs considered withdrawing themselves from the fight.

With the throwing of water bombs it seemed that two of the dogs that had been there instantly tried to get away from this current situation. They bolted quicker than could be expected it seemed that they had lost the nerve to do anything in that split second. Not realising what they faced until it was too late the two dogs that had been cornered has taken leave instantly just leaving the pack leader with one of his crew missing. It seemed that during this distraction the Shinobi had managed to slink away and make sure that he got his own target during this time.

Howls of annoyance rose up from the ally in those few seconds, anger and suffering at one of their own going missing so easily. It seemed that the group was looking around trying to follow the scent of one of their own that had gone missing. They growled in frustration and begun sniffing around trying to get any scent of where their friend could have gone. It was offer way to quick and it happened without any violence. No teeth had been sunk in and no blood drawn, and they had come out worse from this encounter.

It seemed that the puppy right now had been taken capture, the mission that the shinobi had been sent on was now at the stage of being completed and there was no issue with what was happening. It seemed that the puppy was going home, back to the family and with it. It would see the new Shinobi being rewarded with the completion of a mission with no violence and no issues that had taken place. Kuro had completed his task all that he had to do now was bring this little escaping pup back to the family that it belonged to without any issues.

He took a few deep breaths and bit his teeth together to literally bite through the pain of the dog biting him. He did sit still a few moments just holding the dog and breathing. Eventually the dog let go of him and looked on in confusion since Kuro didn't seem to want to fight back. "See? Nothing to be scared of, we're just gonna tkae a walk, alright?" He didn'T know how smart dogs were, but he assumed it was better to not say out loud that they would visit his owners. Kuro stood up and made his way through the village allthewhile not letting go of the dog, making sure to not scarre him anymore. Since nothing was to be seen of the homeless dogs, he was able to get back without any problems. When the dog realized they came to a halt infront of his old home, he seemed to understand what was going on and struggled, even letting out a low bark, but that seemed to be what was his 'doom', because shortly after a girl with teary eyes cam running onto the street hugging her dog, literaly ripping it out of Kuros arms. "Thank you so much mister! And you... first we'll get you nice and clean, then we'll get you dressed properly, you'll love to see what new clothes I got you!" Well Kuro could now see why the dog would want to run away, this life definetly wasn't what he'd wanna be subjcted to, but alas, he was a ninja and he just cleared his mission, so he wouldn#t need to worry about this whole thing anymore. Now, if only he could feel his arm anymore, seems like it would take some a bit until it was on full strength again, he lost a bit blood and held it in the same way for some time, so it seemed to have fallen asleep or something, definetly not a nice feeling. He'd give it some rest... right after getting his reward that is.
