Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Ever since his full recovery from his bout with Kiri, Hoshi had made trips into the woods, building a structure. It was deep into the woods, by the river, near a place Raku and himself would train personally. He felt here, if people were like him to train this deep into the woods, if anyone saw a dojo they would walk in. Today he was working on said dojo, everything had been completed and followed all instructions by the book. He was proud of his work and thought, if he were to retire he'd become some kind of architect for Kumo. He brushed his hands together freeing his palms of the saw dust.

He took a towel, dipped into some soapy water, and a waxing formula before he placed the towel on the ground with both hands, and began to wheel barrow up and down, all around the dojo floor waxing and cleaning at the same time. Now that everything was sparkling clean, he would decorate the place with portraits of himself, and famous battle quotes of inspiration. This was his place of his training, his place of dueling! Lastly, Shouyu unwrapped a final large parchment. He dipped a wick in some ink and wrote largely in bold lettering:

"COME ONE! COME ALL! ALL CHALLENGERS ACCEPTED!"<i></i>

There were many statues ranging from Buddha, ancient animals of legend, praying warrior statues, all things he forged from the ground with earth ninjutsu. His walls were covered in the following: weapons from short sword, long swords, spears, glaives, maces, poles, flails, shuriken, kunai, wooden dummies, floor traps, and a Self-Rule Mantra inscribed across the floor. It would read to those who had time to read it, "Those who never give up, never fail."

Finally after all his hardwork, Shouyu would sit at the entrance of his dojo, cross legged and upright. He closed his eyes, placed his hands together in a hand seal that entices chakra. His energies inside him began to fluctuate at a high rate though it was still in his control. He would await to see if anyone would find this dojo, although, anyone to come would mean they were seeking a challenge and the young Anbu Trainee would be more than happy to oblige.

While Tatsuo wasn't looking for any challenges, he took today to explore a little bit of the Lightning Country. Since he had gotten here he had only done missions or train, which was a typical life for a shinobi but what's life without a little fun. After trekking through the woods for a few hours, he stumbled upon the dojo which interested him. Making his way over to the Dojo, he knocked on the large front door. He took a few steps back, waiting for any response.

Tatsuo was wearing his typical shinobi gear, a dark gray shirt and a pair of dark gray pants, his Leaf headband was proudly displayed on his forehead as always. His hair was a mess and he had bags under his eyes as a testament to all the sleep he had been missing. It truly was loud in his hotel room, the bouncing and banging never ceased. He really should ask for a room change.

Knock knock knock...

This was the echoing sound down the hall placing a smirk over the meditating boy. He couldn't begin to contain himself anymore, he's hyperactivity kicking in stirring up his chakras. Whoever was at the door, if they had any sense of picking up on chakra networks would feel an immediate spike in Shouyu's prowess.

His eyes would flicker open, flexed with chakra filled veins and in an instant he stood. While from his position to dashing to the door he would have opened every gate up to the gate of wonder. He would kick down the front door with a leaping front kick, shattering the door before Tatsuo. Hoshi would reveal himself in a pale blue aura with completely whitened eyes, with streaks of electrical currents rotating around his body.

"Yes! My first challenger! Whoooooo could it beee-"

He realized it was just Tatsuo and immediately he shifted the limiters back into place, his aura fading immediately as his physical returned to normal. Shouyu began rubbing the back of his head awkwardly.

"Oh, hey Tatsuo haha. Uhh, heh what's up?"

Tatsuo was standing by the door when Hoshi decided to make his dynamic entry. Sending the door crashing on top of Tatsuo, the young boy scrambled to dodge any more debris. He had expected something to happen but that caught him off guard. As he pushed the now crushed door off of him he stood up, looking to Hoshi he shook his head. "C'mon man you could've killed me! Imagine if I was like, a beggar boy or something and you jus-- oh whatever. What are you doing here anyways?" he said taking a peak into the dojo. Looking behind Hoshi, he saw the plethora of training materials and such in the inside. Cool place he thought, maybe Hoshi owned it. "Is this your place?" he said as he looked around, before focusing back on Hoshi. "This is cool, I have a tree fort back home it's about the size of this." he said rubbing a hand on the back of his neck.

Shouyu rubbed the back of his head still as Tatsuo rose from the rubble. Tatsuo of course was distraught at first cursing Hoshi until he peeked inside and seemingly caught interest. He let him enjoy the view before answering his last question.

"Not really my place, I was bored and created this out mostly earth ninjutsu, and carving it with chakra during taijutsu, but even then, I believe it still needs more fortification. Maybe your wood style?"

Hoshi walked in, hoping Tatsuo would follow and listen to him speak of his tree house back in Konoha, that instantly interested the young boy and his eyes sparkled.

"Whoa! That sounds cool! You'll have to show me one day!"

Shouyu nudged him rather hard and lunged into him playfully. Shouyu would bellow out a laugh and walk farther into his dojo, he too would gaze around at his work.

"I built this place for anyone travels far enough to the forest would find my dojo. Here, will be the host of many battles, studies, and training. I wanted to build a place where true Shinobi could hone their skills in all ways."

He put his hands to his hips and inhaled deeply. His exhale was one of relief and triump. He looked to Tatsuo with a thumbs and playfully put up how dukes.

Tatsuo continued to blabber on about his tree house back in Konoha. "Yeah it's pretty nice, not as nice as this place though." he looked around seeing the lack of supports throughout the building. "I mean, I don't got that much chakra but with a few hours and something to eat I could probably do it." he said offering a shrug. "Plus it's always good to help a pal." he said nodding before deciding he'd do it. "Sure, i'll do it. Might need to give me a minute though." he said going to take a seat before looking to Hoshi who wanted to fight. "Ya' know i'm never gonna fight you fist to fist, I bet your fists hit harder than my Moukton." he said laughing as he began to gather the chakra needed. Placing his hands together as he focused his chakra. Small floating objects giving off a glow akin to fireflies, began to surround him and fill the room with nature chakra. After his training with Kaji and the consumption of that strange fruit he was gifted with enhanced mastery over his Kyoubaku genetics. Whilst he had lots of ways to go, absorbing the latent chakra from his surroundings was something he had down packed.

Tatsuo seemed rather modest about his tree house but Hoshi didn't believe it for a second, he was still very much intrigued. Tatsuo looked to examine his work before giving his thoughts.

Tatsuo agreed to help, although mentioning it would take time, and Hoshi nodded. Heck, it took him some time to build this.

"Thanks man! I want this place to be a focal point for all warriors to train, and share experiences, a meeting place of reward for those travel this far into the forest! And meet my challenge!"

Right before Tatsuo took a seat he mention he would never clash fists with the Hyuuga, this perplexed him, Hoshi flexing his right eyebrow. On the contrary he wished to do heated combat with Tatsuo and see his skill in person.

"Well I am practitioner of the gentle fist. We are more accurate then heavy hitting power. But that's where my new trump card comes into play, heh."

He smirked, having shown Tatsuo a by of his new found power. He hadn't shown anyone since the hospital, so he'd be one of the first to view him in that state. Tatsuo sat down and began meditation, instantly the room felt different, a more natural and innocent form of energy filled the place, Hoshi smiled in awe.

"Whoooooaaa."

"Ya don't worry about it man, any time." he would say as wood started to creep up on the walls. Not a lot, but every so often another beam would protrude from the dojo's floor, going up to the roof as to work as a support. "And I just said i'd never do fist to fist with you." he said sticking out his tongue at Hoshi. "We'll fight, some day when i'm not so tired and you're fully recovered. Don't want either of us to have any excuses, now do we?" he would say calmly as he still was focusing on gathering all of the nature energy around him. Luckily, being in a forest made this abundant so it wouldn't take him as long as if he were in the middle of a metropolitan area.

When Hoshi mentioned his trump card, he smirked looking up to him. "Oh does it involve kicking down doors at unexpected visitors?" stifling a laugh as he was sure to lose focus if he broke out into a fit of laughing. He kept his pose as the nature energy continued to flow into him, as the wood chakra continued to flow out. It was a cycle, one that took lots of energy but with time, his mastery would grow. Perhaps as strong as Hoshi's in his hand to hand.

Hoshi watched as his abilities began to grow onto the dojo and spread out, even adding extra columns to support the roof and overall integrity of the Dojo's structure. Tatsuo gave a smart remark at Shouyu, who responded with a grin and a growl, teamed up with a thumbs up.

"Yeah you bet! One day!"

There was just something about the thrill of a fight whether friendly or serious that intrigued the adolescent. So hearing Tatsuo say these words brought a fire to his heart.

Hoshi began to walk around the dojo, seeing the effects of his wood jutsu at hand. His dojo was already looking even more massive, and structurally sound! He gave a nods and a thumbs up to Tatsuo before hearing his comment berating the Genin. His thumbs up dropped lazily as he slouched, eyes forming huge rounded circles in disbelief.

"Well uh, yeah, I guess you can say I'm kicking down doors."

He rubbed the back of his hand and laughed with his new leaf comrade. Who would have thought, he would make friends with a foreign ninja. Although, it was a good one. One that made his heart warm. He laughed with Tatsuo before sitting down himself.

"C'mon, it was just a joke." he'd say stifling another laugh. It'd seem most of the wooden supports were finished being placed. He would look over to Hoshi, despite not actually moving that much he was out of breath. Managing nature chakra was difficult even for him, but to manage so much at the same time truly took a toll on him. It doesn't help that he hadn't gotten a wink of sleep since he got here. "Ya know, Hoshi, the hotel room i'm in is really nice, like i'm not gonna complain.. but someone on my floor is bouncing and banging all night, making all kind of noise." He said letting out a huge yawn as he sat back, placing his arms to support him.

"And I can't sleep during the day because they're keeping me busy with missions. Something about I can't cause as much trouble if everyone's got an eye on me, ya' know? Kind of a shame, really made this trip a bummer. I was supposed to train with Kaji-sensei today but his door was locked. Must've been kept up by all the noises too." Rubbing one of his shoulders, he looked to Hoshi. "So where do you live? Do all Cloud Ninja live in nice hotel rooms like that?" he asked curiously.

Tatsuo prodded his jokes but Hoshi was slow to catch on, before dismissing them entirely. He noticed the effects of Tatsuo's jutsu, fortifying and revitalizing the old dojo. It now carried a new splendor, and Hoshi would hope that anyone who would stumble upon it, would be willing to accept his challenge. His eyes were wide, gazing upon the recreation. This was short lived and interrupted by Tatsuo's nagging. Shouyu turned to look at him, a brow risen upon his forehead.

He would lament the loud noises and the busy ninja life that eluded him from proper sleeping. Shouyu only snickered at the boy and threw his hands at him. Sleep to Shouyu was never a matter, food was his main thing. As long as his belly was full, there was nothing upset the young Genin. Although, Tatsuo did seem rather distressed and disappointed. He'd only listen until Tatsuo sparked a question about his living conditions. He remembered the hotels were a bit on the fancy side, and recalling his loft it did seem pretty exquisite although it was small.

"Kumo residency is built vertically. House on top of a house. I live on a 5th floor loft, it's pretty small, but spacious for one person. Uuuhh, I guess it's in the middle of the city, not too far from the start of the forest. That's why I come out here often. I can get away from the village noise and actually get some peace and quiet."

Shouyu walked around some more, rotating each shoulder and arm as he stretched. He then turned back at Tatsuo.

"One day... One day I will make this dojo a school separate from the academy. A school where, you don't really learn but... You experience. This is where I try new stuff, and no one can see me fail, until I've got it down packed. Like, unlocking all of these chakra gates."

When Hoshi mentioned a school where you don't learn, but experience it instantly piqued Tatsuo's interest. Tatsuo was actually no good at school, his grades were low the only reason he didn't drop out was because he was able to do well enough on the Taijutsu and Ninjutsu tests to make up for his abhorrent knowledge of how things actually worked. "Ya' know pal, I agree. I was always pretty bad at the academy, well nah, I was bad at the academy. I always felt pretty dumb, everyone told me I wasn't going to be a decent ninja because well.. You know Kaji kinda helped me be able to mold this wood chakra, before this I couldn't really do much of anything with an element. I wonder if it's because the Wood wanted me too. Which is kind of annoying, it'd be cool to shoot out giant fireballs and stuff. Also? What are chakra gates?" he said looking to Hoshi curiously, he had heard offhand comments about the Hachimon before but the intricate details were lost on him. Like most things. Tatsuo's knowledge as a ninja definitely was lacking, despite his usual quick wit.

Shouyu continued to walk around the dojo, feeling with his hands the work of Tatsuo. The restored vigor of this place would most definitely make the old man proud he grinned. He turned around and started to make his way back to Tatsuo. Tatsuo then went on agreeing with Hoshi's idea of a school. He understood some kids weren't as adept in the books as they were combat so they would be learners of experience rather than research. It also seemed Tatsuo was one of those as well, along with Hoshi. Hoshi read a lot of stuff, books, ancient history, but none of it made sense in his mind until it comes to fruition with his sight. Tatsuo stated he had trouble manipulating chakra into his wood element as he just did.

Shouyu never really had much problem with chakra, he was born a wiz at it since his Hyuuga nature, plus with his byakugan able to see the flow of chakra, he felt he always had a better understanding of how it all worked out. He nodded at Tatsuo, closing the distance between them. He then asked his final question, about the gates, and Hoshi's jaw dropped clear to wooden stoned floor amazed and in dismay. His right eye began to twitch lightly, he was truly distraught me.

"D'aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh come on maaaaaaan! What do you mean what are chakra gates?! WHADD'YA THINK I WAS DOING WHEN YOU FIRST GOT HERE!"

His head would amazingly grown four feet and huge as his loud mouth bellowed the words out at Tatsuo ringing and echoing like a megaphone. Shouyu quickly gasped control of himself, breathing heavily as a sigh of a little white cloud wiggled away from his lips. Hoshi was slouched over and depressed for a few seconds. He'd recollect himself again to stand upright and place his hands at his hips. He laughed lightly, awkwardly rubbing the back of his head. That same hand came to his mouth after to cover up a cough, Hoshi cleared his throat.

"Maybe when you're more familiar with your nature energy, you could sometimes feel when your energy is at it's maximum that is almost, limited. Ever since I came to Kumo, and before then I was told I was attune to chakra manipulation. My father, who was a Hyuuga from fire country taught me to defend myself. I came to Kumo alone, they quickly discovered my heritage, and branded me a cloud Shinobi. My early years I was just in awe of people like Osuteno, Haji Mempo, Raku, and even ninja like Kaji. I pushed myself... Everyday through training, sometimes until I couldn't even move my body the next day, I would force myself to study. One day I was meditating, I felt my chakras at its peak, and I almost broke through! But I didn't... So ever since that day, I've been training to break that limiter! Recently, I've come to find out, unlocking the Gates is a forbidden jutsu. The backlash of accessing every muscle in your body and brain, the increased blood flow and heightened body temperature. It does a great deal of damage to one's body, at the expense of having the fists and speed of a God! I studied and I trained, until recently... I found I could do it. So, don't tell anyone okay?! I wanna keep it a secret. I don't want this power to become the source of my being, although, I love it, I don't want others to know. It will remain a surprise. Huehuehue."

"Oh." Tatsuo said, not really understanding anything Hoshi said. "Yeah that makes sense." he lied, not wanting to look dumb anymore in front his friend. "And of course pal, I won't tell anyone. Just don't tell anyone I use Moukton, alright?" Tatsuo said letting out a small yawn, before looking back to him. "Oh wait, you know I got into a fight? Some cloud Anbu and me got into a spar. I won too." he said rubbing his nose. "She hit pretty hard too, got me in the nose took me out for a second. I won though, it wasn't too hard. I hit her with some Moukton jutsu and she didn't even expect them. Despite her being really fast with a sword." he said nodding once again. "How many fights have you been in? You never told me about why you were in a wheel chair, was it a fight?" he said looking to Hoshi as he sat up fully.

Tatsuo agreed to keep each other's secrets, though he was confused on this Moukton thing, must've been his ability to utilize wood like Raku did. Although with Tatsuo it seemed almost second nature for him to use it. Tatsuo yawned and then spoke up about a fight he had with a cloud anbu. Hoshi's brow rose in response.

'Anbu huh? You fought someone with a mask and a won?'

Hoshi then grew curious about Tatsuo's abilities as a ninja if he could defeat a full fledged anbu already. His vague description, of a girl, with a sword, exceptionally fast gave him a couple of names to think of, though he still wondered how he knew all of this info from an Anbu. Hoshi then responded after clearing this throat.

'I think it's best if you keep that between you and I. Whoever it was you fought, their identity must be unknown.'

He began to worry if whoever this was had given up their identity therefor endangering Cloud and Tatsuo. Tatsuo then asked about his combat experience and what happened to him. Shouyu thought for a second and clicked his teeth.

"I've lost every fight against a reputable ninja. That fight in particular..."

His mind races about the fight with Kiri. Every last second flushed through his mind.

"It was because of a fight yes. A fight I barely made out alive. Although, I do have knack for fighting people exceedingly stronger than I am."

He had won many fights against others and random people, but against other ninja with reputations he had yet to claim a victory. He then looked over Tatsuo once more.

"I am still training. Training to be unbeatable!"

Tatsuo nodded at the thought of training, he didn't really train to become powerful, at least not at the intensity and volume in which Hoshi partook. He wished to become strong, he supposed but he didn't burn for it. He just thought as he grew older he'd get more powerful. Most of the people he knew who were strong were older, so he just assumed it came with age. "I think, one day, you'll be unbeatable, Hoshi." the boy grinned before stretching and letting out a yawn. "Hey man, do you mind if I go get some sleep? I haven't gotten much in the past few days. Busy with missions and all." he'd say stretching his arms upwards as he stood. Bowing to Hoshi, he would turn to leave the dojo. "Thank you for having me, Hoshi! I hope to see you again." and with that, unless stopped Tatsuo would run back to his apartment and try to get some much needed shut eye.

Re: Dojo In The Woods: &quot;The Wandering Star's Dojo!&quot; {Closed Until Hoshi's Return}

Tatsuo's words caught Hoshi off guard. He looked over to him with an eyebrow raised and wondered why he figured so. Quickly his confused looked turn to a grin as he tried to play it off and embrace the compliment. He rose a fist under his chin and nodded, chuckling lightly. With a stretch Tatsuo insisted he should leave to get some rest, Hoshi agreed.

"Yeah sure thing, I was just about to wrap things up anyway."

Hoshi returned his bow before Tatsuo left in a dash. Hoshi stayed behind for a moment. He would take some additional time to relish the works of him and Tatsuo on the dojo. This would become his refuge and for one last time, his pale hues observed it all, wall to wall. He inhaled, hands at his hips his breath rising from his stomach into his chest. He then exhaled a deep breath and felt refreshed before also turning to the door.

Before he took off to a dash, he looked back and grinned, shutting the dojo doors and making his way through the forest. As he ran through the crash course of nature his mind would wander and as he spoke out loud.

"Konoha."
