Name: Dorobo Hana
Age: 11
Gender: Male
Physical Description: Dorobo, despite coming from quite a well-off family is barely a healthy weight, and quite small for his age, standing at only Four foot and two inches tall. Despite this appearance, he isn’t sickly. His hands are well-worked and calloused from working in his family home. His skin is quite pale, never tanning, only burning. His hair is similar; white and frames his face, ending around his chin. His clothes are simple and similar to the uniform worn by the workers in his father’s family restaurant: a white shirt and brown knee-length shorts. The only unique part to his outfit is a reversible black and white trench coat made for him by his dearest friend, Ai, the elderly head chief of his father’s restaurant. He wears the white side in warmer weather and switches to the darker once days get colder. This, when combined with his pale complexion, causes him to look almost monochromatic, all apart from his bright, emerald green eyes.
Mental Description:
Saying Dorobo has walls would be an understatement. He’s very closed off and tends to keep his head down, working independently from others. As a result, he doesn’t have the best communication skills, while he doesn’t often mean to be rude, he can definitely come across that way. He has a very low opinion of himself, which is the main reason he is so determined to do everything by himself, to prove that he can do something worth wild. He is incredibly quick to anger, like a candle lit at both ends.
History:
Dorobo wasn’t given his name until a week after his birth, before that he was known as Kogane. His mother, Hisui, had trained to be a ninja her whole life and built up a name for herself before being struck by a poisoned dart, which, while not fatal, had a severe effect on her immune system, causing her to become incredible frail. Her Husband, Katai—the owner of a successful chain of family-owned resturants—did his best to make her life as comfortable and lavish as possible, spending every spare moment of his time by her side. They loved eachother, and eventually Katai began to want a child. While Hisui was hesitant to at first, given her health, she quickly decided it was worth the risk, fuelled by her lover’s enthusiasm.
Kogane was born a year later, born with hair already on his head, the same chestnut brown as his mothers. At first, things seemed fine, but Hisui gradually became weaker and passed away a month after his birth.
This, along with Kogane’s horrific temper, convinced Katai’s his grief-stricken mind that Kogane was some kind of changeling that stole his mother’s strength, giving him the new name Dorobo—Thief.
Katai hired others to raise Dorobo, nannies and nurses, barely interacting with his son for the first seven years of his life, during which Dorobo’s hair gradually turned white. After that, Katai deemed Dorobo old enough to do chores, sending him to do various errands and clean his restaurants, working himself ragged.
As Dorobo got to know the people working for his father, he heard of his mother’s reputation as a ninja, and decided to follow in her footsteps. He started using what little time he had left to train, hoping to one day earn his father’s pride.
