Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

At the Dragon Tooth Pass, a couple hours after the Anbu Sennin, Abyss, and several others left to go on a mission, something about exterminating some monsters, everything here was calm. Outside of an irregular mission with at least two people being part of the mission making it a bit questionable, all was quiet. Snow was falling lightly onto the ground, but it was just cold enough for it to slowly start to build up.

A guard would lazily lounge in the guard house, a building to protect them from the elements of the weather, looking out the window to see that nobody really wanted to go out or come in. He took a minute to look out another window that looks out into Kumogakure, to see all the festival lights and decorations up. It brought a smile to his face. He took a sip of his hot cocoa before putting on his winter coat. "Is it that time already?" The fellow guard asked him.

He nodded, "Yeah, unfortunately. You know they'll be on our ass if we don't do our half hour checks outside. It's friggen cold out there but should only be for a couple of minutes."

With that said, he would walk out and hug his coat close to him as a strong wind hit him chilling him to his bones. It was a peaceful life, he is a jounin that lives in his thirties with a wife and two beautiful children. They would always marvel at the festival lights and dragon decorations. He would look at where he had talked to the Anbu Sennin earlier that day to see that the snow had already covered the foot tracks that her and her company had made. He stood out there for a couple more minutes, looking for any recent footprints and anything else that can be suspicious but found none.

Satisfied, he would head back into the guard house and finish his hot cocoa while writing in the log book, noting that nothing has happened this past half hour. "Have you tried any of the festival games yet man? I've been trying so hard on one off them to get some gifts for the little ones, but those festival games are tricky."

"You do know that they cheat yeah? That's how they rope ya in. With prizes and stuff." The other guard had said.

The first guard shrugged, "Dunno about that. They may be tricky, but I still have gotten some prizes. Just not the ones I want to give to my kids. Anyways..." His voice trailed off as he stopped talking to listen to his surroundings. "You hear that? It sounds like..." He busted out of the guardhouse, whatever it was, it was big and flying.

His buddy had already hit the silent alarm to notify any off duty ninja in the Village before joining him. They scrambled as they seen what their intruder was. A giant dragon easily bigger than a house landed in front of

them. Its scales were blue and seems to shine off of the sun. Its wings folded in, a sign that it wasn't going to jump and fly off anytime soon. "Is this what you humans call Kumogakure? Village hidden in the Clouds?" The guards nodded at it dumbfoundedly, not expecting it to be so calm. "Good, thank you." It started to walk past them before the first guy shook off the surprise and then stepped up in front of the dragon.

"Stop right there! I need to see your passport!" He commanded.

The dragon cocked his head to the side, then to the other side, "What is a passport? Is it something I can look forward to learning about? Will it give me vast amounts of knowledge?"
(welcome to the official part of the Dragon festival event! Anyone is welcome to join this thread, though do keep in mind that it is actually in the same time as the Lycan mission that is going on for those participating in the Lycan mission)

A silent alarm rang through out the village, alerting what remained of the villages Shinobi force. Something odd, and mystical, had appeared at the gates. While that hadn't been expressed to Kazan directly, and chill ran down his spine as the alert went through.

Abyss was gone, temporarily, and as far as Kazan knew any threat to the village fell solely upon his shoulders as the Main Branch Sennin. He knew there were plenty of Capable Shinobi within Kumogakure, but he held a sense of responsibility. Setting aside all of his duties, he gathered his equipment and leaped out of his office window; his scarlet cape, flowing majestically as he made his decent to the ground below.

With a heavy thud as he landed, his armor would clank. With a smirk, he took off at full speed. Several minutes later, he arrived to a scene he hadn't expected to see. Once again, within his sights lay a dragon. The last time he had seen one, he obtained a power unlike any other he could imagine. While the embers of that power had long since died out, something deep within seemed to be resonating once again.

Approaching the creature, he listened to it ask about a passport and if it would grant him knowledge. The situation seemed odd, but he kind of understood. "Never mind a passport. What brings a being such as yourself to our humble village?" He asked the creature, injecting himself between the present Anbu. Without Abyss, a Medical sennin, or the Raikages present, Kazan technically stood as the highest Authority.

"I'm one of the village leaders. I'm Akira Kazan, Sennin of the main branch." He spoke aloud.

With the silent alarm going off, Some of the nearest anbu were on scene fast. They stared up at the dragon, confused at how to handle the situation, the beast doesn't seem to want to fight, but it does want to enter their Village. What exactly is the procedure for this situation? Thankfully one of the Village's leadership had shown up, Akira Kazan.

The blue dragon lowered its head to stare at the man before it. It wasn't threatening but rather examining something out of curiosity. "I am a blue dragon. And my kind want one thing above all else. Knowledge. I have heard that this place, Kumogakure, is the most advanced Village in the world and I wanted to see it for myself." He sniffed the air, "Akira Kazan of the Main Branch. I can tell at one point you held the power of the dragons. But now...." If a dragon could show disgust on their face, the blue dragon would definitely try. But all Kazan would see is that it would squint its eyes and cock its head to the side.

"You are tainted with death. Tell me, was that knowledge worth it?" It would inquire. Whether he gave it an answer or not, the dragon would crane its head up to examine the area. "A place like this must have a scholar area with many books. I must read all the books your species has here." Though it made its intentions clear, it hasn't made any advances. It was smart enough to know that these humans have strange customs and procedures. All following orders. More complicated than dragons.

Kazan listened to the Blue dragon speak, as other Anbu seemed to gather at the gates. While Kazan was once blessed with the might of one, his knowledge of their kind was very limited. Up until this point, he had no idea that different types of dragons sought out different types of things in this world. "Blue desires knowledge, huh?" He thought, as he watched the dragon appear to examine him. His composure held steadfast as he realized this, but what manage to break it was the Blue Dragons next words. Somehow it could sense something deep within Kazan that he himself could no longer do, and it made comment about a new type of power he had recently developed.

Not only that, but he questioned if Kazan saw the trade off as worth it. "I was once blessed by a Red Dragon. It filled me with power and might beyond my wildest dreams, but that power faded to a faint ember and smoldered out. Once it was gone, my bloodline abilities disappeared as well and with time, I developed new ones. The one you speak of now is shameful, and unnatural. But, if this new power can help me defend my home and my people against any threat, I'll carry that burden." Kazan spoke, clearly. The Blue Dragon, among all things, should understand the resolve in his voice.

After he spoke, he paid attention to the dragons movements before it spoke once again. It wanted to visit a place meant for scholars, and read. To some, knowledge was power. While Kazan wondered if this creature would try to steal the knowledge that generations after generations of Cloud Shinobi had gathered, he also feared that it might grow angry and rain down destruction upon the village if denied. "You mean 'The Bibliotheca Conscientiae'." Kazan Stated, as he glanced towards the Anbu present, and then back at the Blue Dragon. "It's a Massive Ancient Library that people in our country and village have maintained, protected, and expanded throughout the centuries. You'll find no greater library than this throughout these lands." Kazan told the beast, hoping to catch it's attention.

"These Anbu, and several members of my Main Branch, will escort you." He stated, raising his hand up and pointed towards the ones who had gathered previously. "I grant you entrance, but I require you to be escorted. Also, I'll need you to take this." Kazan told the Dragon, as he reached down into his pocket and pulled out a small clear crystal. He would then pour his Chakra into it, as it began to grow a bright sunset orange. Extending it out to the dragon, for it to claim in any way it say fit, he spoke once again. "This crystal holds a small portion of my chakra within it. It'll help me, and others within the village, track you at any given time while you're here. Also, I'll have to inform the Raikage. Lady Kitsune may wish to meet you for herself." He told the Blue Dragon, as he waited for whatever happened next.

The dragon would listen to what Kazan had to say about his own powers. "Such strong resolve and strong will. You must have a sound mind, Kazan of the Main Branch. Much more than other humans that would succumb easily to such dark powers. Nevertheless, ensure you don't fall from your own grace."

It shifted its own weight, making the sound of distant thunder as it did. It would contemplate what the human was saying, its interest piqued upon hearing about Bibliotheca Conscientiae. The main branch ninja and Anbu were not too thrilled about it, mainly as they were intimidated by such a beast, no matter how calm it may seem right now. The dragon cocked its head to the side as Kazan produced a crystal and imbued it with chakra before giving it to the dragon and explaining about it.

"Very intriguing..." It would say, "So human customs for crossing into other territories is to gift the guest mineral rocks. As for this Lady Kitsune, is she a fox spirit? Either way, You humans would want a name to go with me, I presume? You may call me Emiru the Ever Learning."

It would take the crystal in its tail, gently wrapping around it from Kazan as it would look at the other ninja. "Come then! Take me to this Bibliotheca Conscientiae!"

The Dragon was polite, and kind, even though it was persistent. From all the myths and stories he heard as a child, it made sense to him. To this Dragon, Emiru the Ever Learning, knowledge was his version of gold. Slightly glancing to his feet as the dragon made mention of a weird custom, Kazan let out a slight chuckle. "The mineral rock is just meant as one of the many tracking tool we use for individuals who come without passports.." He said, as he raised a fist to his hand and coughed to clear his throat. "Lady Kitsune may be as cleaver and cunning as one, but a fox spirit is something she isn't. Please enjoy your stay." He stated, as he singled for the surrounding members of the villages shinobi forces to take it from here and escort the dragon within.

Stepping to the side, Kazan reached one hand into a opening in his armor and pulled out the weird Device the Raikage gave him once he became a Sennin. Focusing his Chakra into it, it rang out for a few seconds before sending out a transmission directly to Lady Kitsune. Clearly, he spoke. "Sorry to interrupt you, but we have an actual Blue Dragon currently being escorted to our village's Library. It's name is Emiru The Ever Learning. I'm planning to take over guard duty here at the gates while the previously stationed Shinobi forces escort the creature and clear it's path." He spoke, wondering if Lady Kitsune would even be able to reply.

While he stood there, waiting and watching for whatever was to come next, he began to feel a surge of heat rush through his veins. His eyes widened, only for a brief second, as he recognized this sensation. He had felt it that time he had previously met the red dragon all that time ago, and then once again when he left on his pilgrimage. After both of those instances, something deep within his body occurred that stripped him, in one way or another, of some type of power. Raising on hand, with the palm facing upwards, he glanced down at it. Currently, other than the surge of heat, nothing else seemed to be going on. "Three times now I've experienced this Sensation... I met a dragon, and gained a power. I met a demon, and both lost and gained one. Now, I stood in the presences of another one. What will happen? And, what the hell is wrong with my body?" He questioned himself in silence.

Sighing, as he lowered his hand and turned his focus back to the moment. He couldn't dwell on it, or worry for the time being. Whatever the surge of heat was, he'd find out eventually. As for now, there was a festival afoot, and with the arrival of an actual dragon, things were about to get interesting. He couldn't wait to see exactly what would happen. The appearance of a dragon during a festival dedicated to dragons. Part of him believed this was one of the moments destined by fate.
