Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Name: Ehime Hansame
Alias: Hansame
Age: 8
Gender: Male
Village: Sunakage
Occupation: Student
Clan: none for now
Ranking: Student

Appearance: Hansame is a short boy about 3’4, and still retaining some of the baby fat most small children have, though he wouldn’t come off to most people as fat, he’s rather average weight, and slightly chubby at most. He is most likely to be seen with a bright smile on his face than not, and pearly whites to match. Having blond hair and pale purple eyes, and rather bright clothing, Hansame really stands out in the darker, more dim parts of the underground, and some have even commented that he almost has a glow emitting from him. His clothes are rather high quality because of his history and background, and they give off the illusion that he comes from a high class family, even though that isn't the case (see history for more details).

Mental stuff Hansame is a cheerful bundle of energy, always having a positive upbeat attitude about whatever situation he might be in, no matter how dreary it may seem to others. His constant stream of optimism sometimes comes off as rather annoying and childish behavior to others, especially since he’s a talkative one. Not afraid to speak his mind, a first impression of the boy would be a strong overbearing persona, but if one is able to tolerate him for the first few moments, they could expect a new friend, or at least a person who wants to be their friend.

Hansame loves the company of others, and a common activity of his during his freetime is trying to make new friends. He becomes incredibly excited when he meets a new person, and an overactive imagination of his tends to leave him oblivious to social cues and ignorant to things around him. He doesn’t know the harsher sides of the shinobi lifestyle and can’t exactly grasp the concept of death because it hasn’t affected him in a major way yet. Hansame is overly trusting in people and always tries to find the best in them, even if they are truly despicable people. Because of this, it could lead the boy into dangerous situations in the future. Even though the boy has his share of faults, Hansame is a good person overall who only wants the best for the people around him, especially his friends.

history: Hansame was born to a middle class family where his father was a tailor and worked in the textile business while his mother was an active shinobi. She was mainly away on missions and other important work, and his father ran a steady business of making and selling clothes, mainly to the middle and upper class of the underground. His mother loved her family unconditionally, but her missions mattered first to her, and her top priority was with her village. Even so, she still tried to make up for lost time with Hansame, though the small child felt little connections with his mother due to her absence in his life. While his mother away with her missions, Hansame learnt how to sew and other life skills from his father. He became exceptionally good at making clothes for a child his age, though his father still had to help him with some parts of making clothes, and still made his clothes instead of buying them for saving money. Becoming a shinobi never was a thought for him, but then the news came when he was about six. It had been months since either he or his father had seen his mother, and then the report that she was missing came in. Hansame, having little emotional connection with his mother, didn't feel so bad about the news. His father on the other hand, slowly began to fall into a spiral of depression. He never showed any sign of it to his customers or even Hansame, but he was slowly breaking apart on the inside. Hansame still learnt new skills from his father, enough that he could make his own clothes to the quality that his father was making, which was good for business, but on the bad side, at that time his father was at his breaking point. One night while Hansame slept, after the sandstorm had cleared up after so many decades, his father left him a note, then left the village entirely. When Hansame woke up, the first thing he saw the note at his bedside. Reading it, Hansame wasn't so worried, as the note said that his father went out to the surface to try and sell clothes in different villages, when the reality was that his father had left the village in order to go search for his mother. Being all alone in his household, Hansame continued to make clothes and sell them to others so that he could have some money, and also the fact how he wanted to impress his parents when they came back from their mission and "business trip". Eventually the idea came up in his head that he should become a shinobi to make his parents even more happy when they returned, at least that's what he thought, not knowing the unlikelihood of his parents coming back.

[fontsize="12"]For every action, there is a reaction, and that is an Opportunist. For every other action, however, there is a means of cancellation, of removing that force from the equation, and that is where the Void comes in. Experts of manipulating the unseen element present in Genjutsu, Void users have the ability to channel some very risky, though ultimately useful, skills.

Pressure Points - Independent Special Move (2 points)
Those who practice the void arts are knowledgable of the body's weaknesses and pressure points. Those points control various mechanics of limbs. Attacking them could potentially render them useless.
Effect: At -2 Accuracy the user may reflexively attempt to cancel an opponents Taijutsu by attacking the target's body. Should the user miss, the attack gains a +2 to hit. May only be used once successfully per round.
Note: If the user has Human Anatomy, this hits at +0 Accuracy.

Suppressing Fire - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- Two melee Taijutsu mastered, can be purchased up to three times
In order to attack your opponent you can travel the route of first disabling them rather than dodging them. Void Masters are particularly adept at this, able to strike at sore points and weak spots.
Effect: The user gains +5% chance of suppression when using melee Taijutsu and basic attacks.

Advanced Cancellation - Modification (2 points)
Restriction- Must have Cancel, C-Rank
An understanding of their own mind and how it works makes it much harder to tamper with. As such one who is adept at voiding the outside has an exception skill in perceiving when their mind is being tampered with as soon as it happens.
Effect: Cancel may be used reflexively to negate a genjutsu attempting to effect them. This technique may be used similarly to Body-Switch. The user may not specify what genjutsu or what type of genjutsu they wish to negate. This is due to Genjutsu being Hidden Actions. May only be used this way once per round.

Depth of Night - Modification (2 points)
Restriction- Must have Night
A Void Adept is able to expose their targets to the blackness of nothing for a brief instant that can scar them badly. This is a lesser version of one of their penultimate techniques, though the effects are somewhat different, and it is much less draining to cast.
Effect: While using Night, user can choose to activate a secondary effect for an extra 20% CP. Target must fail a secondary save to this at -1 Save to be affected. Causes temporary sensory blackout for the duration of the jutsu and gives a -3 penalty to hit while it's active. Can only be used twice per battle. Costs an additional 20% CP per round to maintain on top of the Night jutsu. Can only target one person per use of the jutsu.

Extreme Understanding - Boost (1 point)
Restrictions: Can be purchased twice
With their higher knowledge of the way a mind works, Void users are better able to thwart it. This results in their illusions being quite a bit more painful than the average, leaving their opponents stunned upon impact.
Effect: User gains direct damage on Genjutsu equal to 5% of its CP cost (per round).

Secondary Nature - Boost (1 point)
Restrictions: Can be purchased twice
Manipulations come as second nature to the more tricky Void Adepts. The mind can be their plaything if they so choose to make it. The nature of their Genjutsu can be quite hazardous to those unprepared for mental assault.
Effect: Target gains -1 Genjutsu Save for the rest of the battle when hit by a debuffing Genjutsu. This effect cannot stack on the same target.

Spell Cancel - Independent Special Move (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank
Some would say spells cannot be canceled outright, merely counteracted. Except for this, they would be right, but it can be a risky technique. Void Adepts' motions allow them to knock a spell straight out of the air.
Effect: For 2 AP the user may attempt to reflexively cancel an opponents Ninjutsu using their Melee or Ninjutsu Accuracy against the targets Ninjutsu Dodge. May only be used once successfully per round.

Counteraction - Passive (3 points)
The movement of the Void user can be used defensively as well as offensively. This rapid movement can be used efficiently and effectively to dodge attacks abnormally.
Effect: User has the ability to use Taijutsu dodge against Ninjutsu. If at any time during this period they are hit by a Ninjutsu, they take a -1 dodge penalty, up to -2. Allows the user to choose which rounds it is active.

Recoil Effect - Passive (2 points)
Restriction- Must have at least one Style
It's not easy to keep your wits about you when lost in the tangle of battle. Sometimes you just need to slow down a bit. Void Adepts have the focus and split second timing needed to deflect mind arts while in rapid physical motion.
Effect: When using any Style in battle, if hit by a Genjutsu, the user may choose to take half penalties, rounded down, at the expense of dropping out of the Style. Cannot be used if the Style would have ended that turn anyway. Can only be used three times in a battle.

Combat Efficiency - Independent Special Move (2 points)
Restriction- Requires a weapon
By channeling their own skills into their weapon, a Void user may temporarily embed it with a mock cancellation effect. The heart of their physical techniques, sometimes this can even stop attacks altogether.
Effect: While using a weapon, user may choose to infuse it for three rounds with the Suppression ability using 300 CP. Suppression attempts with this weapon suffer a -1 acc penalty due to not being intended for the ability. Suppression chance on the weapon is 10%. A weapon that already has Suppression has its chance to activate increased by 10%.

Snapback - Modification (2 points)
Restriction- Must have Called Shot
The Void is tied to movement, both to bridging the gap between here and there and inhibiting the opponent from doing the same. A Void master can be very effective of doing this to someone when they don't want to roll the dice on it.
Effect: User can make a Called Shot at +1 accuracy to activate Suppression on the opponent. Can only be done with basic attacks. Can only be used once a round per target.

Sensory Deprivation - Independent Special Move (3 points)
Restriction- B Rank and up
A single look at the Void which the Void master draws on can mark and warp a normal human forever. A ninja isn't quite as heavily affected, but the mark is still there, preying on their doubts and fears. Not even thought can penetrate this veil so easily.
Effect: Completely removes the opponent's senses for one round. During this round, the target suffers -4 dodge and accuracy and -2 Genjutsu DC and Save. Doujutsu cannot be used. The Genjutsu and Save debuff fade at the end of the round. The dodge and accuracy penalty lessens by two each subsequent round. Costs the user 1700 chakra and 3 AP. This is treated as a Audial/Kinetic/Visual Genjutsu.

Critical Fallacy - Taijutsu (1 point, 1 to rank up)
Restriction- A-Rank
In the middle of an attack is where the opponent is most vulnerable, and it does take far more energy to swing and miss than to swing and hit. It can hurt, too--especially if there's an obstacle in the way for the Void Adept to deflect their opponent into.
Rank 1: Deals 3630 damage at -2 accuracy. If this criticals, the target gains the 'Folly' status for 3 rounds.
Rank 2: Deals 4330 damage at -1 accuracy. If this criticals, the target gains the 'Folly' status for 3 rounds.
Cost:
Rank 1: 2.75 1815 Cp
Rank 2: 2.75 2165 Cp
Note 1: If the user has Human Anatomy, Called Shot, or Acupuncture, they may recieve an additional +1 crit for each.
Note 2: This technique may be used with any Melee damage type.
Note 3:The 'Folly' Status is when the target rolls a natural 1 on any attack, they attack themselves. May only attack themselves once per round.
