Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Current Ninpocho Time:

Engagement PARTY (Yamazaki,Toraono & Friends)

Things seemed to have...picked up thier pace considerably. Kuro's mother did not seem suprised by the chalanged presented to her, moreso she seemed to be welcoming it really...Kuro acted a bit more naturally, asking his bride to be not to engage in combat...though he would quickly drop the attempts to head of greet the Kazekage steward himslef. Fitting to see him here. With Kuro and Nori steping away, he was left alone, to start observing the fight which was aperently about to unfold.

Now, Haru did not mean to gawk, but he was asked to perhaps use his talents to caputre a moment from the party. And he had to say the two women did try thier best to be quite...engaing. Not thet thier attire was the reveling, but there was something...exiciting to see a women cut her dress to shreds in order to prepare for combat. That is why he aprecaited Taijutsu as a whole, the motion of muscles, the training involved in perfecting each stance, the natural beauty of a well trained body. It was quite a sight to admire as Suzuhim assumed her stance... adn the dark flame was quite an escethic touch. Though he wa sure escethics were not in her mind.

While he kept his eyes on the two combatans, he was taken aback by the speed of Kuro's mother, who seemed to poof right behind her daughter in law...and then spanked her backside. A truly powerfull one, but it was indeed a spank. He was watching Kuro's mother spank his future wife in the middle of ball room dressed full of people...Yes, he felt he needed to avert his gaze toanother part of the room...

In which Sousuke, Kuro, and an unkown figure were currently engaged in combat with about a dozen of people, swining around various weapons on the side, some of the assulting Iori (who happend to be with his lovely companion)...and there was the little maid girl thrwoing doll's at said armed people...

Hmm...perhaps the wine of the Toranao clan is stronger then it feel's...Haru decided to move to the table to get some cusine in his belly. Maybe that would sober him up. I mean, Kuro did mention there was many tradtions in his family. Maybe this was part of that tradition? A scene of the groom fending of atackers to prove his worth as a husband, prtoecotr of the household. Yes, surely that was it...I mean, the everyone else seemed to remain calm, maybe there was a not ein the invitation he missed...After he'd grab a bite or two he would go back to watching the events unfold...lots of mental notes were to be made!

Chizuru was actually considering going back with her father. She really really wanted to help him get back to his lab work but when she thought about it, he’d probably want some alone time with Itami so she’d just stay here and have fun with her new friend. Of course none of that mattered because this wonderful social event suddenly went into a bit of a chaotic mode, what with some assassins suddenly appearing. Quite a few of them, for that matter, though Chizuru was only familiar with the 4 that was before them. Was this part of the show? Apparently not cause Nani suddenly went on the offensive with her plushies.

“W-wait what?”

She was quite confused by the sudden developments and then before she could begin to analyze the situation, there were voices in her head that were not her own. This was not a good thing. Not without at least some manner of warning first. Chizuru had terrible thoughts about people who could read her mind and talk telepathically. Someone being able to know her deepest most inner thoughts and her most dark of secrets frightened her.

“GET OUT!”

She’d suddenly scream at the top of her lungs like a banshee gone mad as she clutches her head and crumples down to her knees. It was definitely not helping an already sire situation and she’d later be quite ashamed of such a thing, but she had freaked out, which was not common for her.

She expected an attack right out of the gate, while the speed was blinding, the form was sloppy, this attack was clearly not meant to cause harm. Hearing a few people laughing as what felt like Azame's hand slapped her across her buxom buttocks. Meant to infuriate Suzuhime, but thankfully she expected anything out of Azame, so she could take it easily in stride. In fact, she allowed Azame to strike her without retaliation. Instead maintaining her stance in a stalwart state. Looking over at Azame with a grin. Focusing her contact lens enhanced eyesight onto her soon to be mother-in-law. With a bit of flair, Suzuhime would vanish just as Azame had at the starting line. Doing a small twirl, the black flames that danced off her hand's leaving a small circular trail before the speed of which she moved erased that of her existence. In this space of mach speed, Suzuhime closed in on Azame, a hand readied with genjutsu to fire directly into Azame's senses. First thing's first, dull her eyesight.

Suzuhime would appear at Azame's right side, a soft pat grazing her arm. It was all she needed for the fight to get steadily easier. Until Azame would lose her like Kuro did and beat her in a single strike. Suzuhime's joke of a hit would be followed up with a backwards elbow strike, meant to spin her around to face Azame. Watching her with a sense of pride. While the elbow strike wasn't meant to inflict damage, it also set Suzuhime up for an easy counter attack to Azame's next move. Giving off her own snide remarks.

"If I could keep my own mother from spanking me, that doesn't make you an exception."

Something felt off, she could malefic intent... but the crowd was so thick that she couldn't see anything that was going on. Not that she would dare take her eyes off Azame. And it took some will-power to ignore the scream of a little girl who sounded disturbingly like Chizuru. However, Suzu began to catch on a bit. Whatever was going on...was under the cover of being just some sort of rouse. With Suzuhime's fight with Azame, the others could handle the situation under the rouse that it was part of the 'show' Suzu and Azame gave.

</i>

Four assassins brandishing weapons were positioned around Iori, ready to kill him on the spot then and there. The man never turned to look at them, it was as if they weren't even there...after all, his daughter was crying. His eyes went wide when she screamed and fell to her knees, the man moving without thinking to kneel down in front of her and pull the girl into his arms. A way to console her, to protect her with his own body, holding her tightly. "Chizuru! What's wrong? Don't worry...you'll be okay...", He would whisper as he looked up at the battles beginning around them, starting with the girl that Chizuru had made friends with. He had no idea why his daughter reacted that way but he was going to make sure nothing happened to her, eyes looking around frantically for a way out.

The Steward didn't sense Mikaboshi approach but the ancient came to his aid without being asked to. He deflected the attacks and went on an offensive himself. The Steward walked up to his side. "If it isn't too much for you, I would like one of them kept alive for the prison for interrogation."<i></i> The Steward spoke calmly and coolly. He unsheathed the ebon blade with his right hand. "The One King fought with his men. The Sunahoshi continued the tradition. The Stewards will do no less."<i></i> The Ebon blade ignited and began to burn steadily. The Steward began to charge an energy attack in his left hand. The electrical chakra pulsed about in his palm as he began to keep a steady charge of electrical chakra.

The Steward began his analysis of the enemy. His mind raced through various opening attacks his enemies could present, and the correct counters he would provide. These enemies were not simple gangsters or thugs. They seemed to have some level of skill, and with that some level of weaponry. In contrast to the Steward's weaponry and armoury they were certainly ... primitive in nature. Beneath the yellow lenses the Steward's eyes shifted as he tried to keep an overall check on the battle field. "If you cease and desist now, I will ensure that you will be given a reasonable sentence. Life in the Obsidian Palace is certainly more ... reasonable than death. It's your choice, but I would think you would take a moment to consider your options... which are very limited but of great importance."<i></i> The Steward gripped the ebon blade awaiting their response which would probably be another attack. He would at a moment's notice counter their blades with his own and open fire with an electrical charged blast from his palm.

WELCOME TO ANOTHER HUGE STORYLINE/PLOT-TWIST courtesy of Toraono Kuro, Takahashi Sousuke, and the creative writing of Mikaboshi...

We do hope you enjoy the further RP and its SUNAGAKURE/WIND COUNTRY ENVELOPING After-affects. For those of you unused to GRAND STYLE RP YOU ARE IN FOR A TREAT, FOR THOSE WHOM ARE PREPARE YOURSELVES...

The three women were completely caught off guard by the shadow ancient Mikaboshi, what was worse was they realized after his words they were facing the Steward. Nanigiri turned to her sisters as she stepped forward. "You would do well to slay the ancient and allow us to slay Queen Azame for she is the final key to unlocking the return of your true Kazekage... Sunahoshi Hagane imprisoned by the blood seals of several families, each of their matriarchs have been slain and the last that prevents his revival is the Steel Queen Azame. Let her die by our hand and you will have a Sunahoshi to lead you as your Kazekage. As agents of the Steel Sands we are not without the power to destroy you or an Ancient, as honorable a task as the Takahashi Clan have undertaken if you stand in our way you blood will also be spilled for his release. As for this Ancient we accept your challenge long have the Nin no Koutetsu prided ourselves on slaying Ancients and their kin. And so Nanigiri focused herself as she got extremely low to the ground, large amounts of lightning chakra began to spiral around her as her sisters lined up infront of and behind her as they squared of with Mikaboshi ignoring the Steward it seemed. The lead sister pulsed with a chakra that as of yet no one could identify, it wasn't visible like Nanigiri's lightning but it did send out an awkward shockwave. The third sister was visibly wounded but she took up her position as her body began to ice over. Having lined up they lowered their heads and leveled their blades as they collectively charged the ancient of shadow. As they did so a wall of flame enveloped and protected Yamazaki Iori as he cradled his daughter Chizuru courtesy of Sharingan Kuro as he looked over Iori then Sousuke. Sousuke had readied a steady flow of lightning into his arm to prepare to electrocute the women as they seemed to ignore him and focus on Mikaboshi whom everyone had to admit was the more pertinent threat.

The threats were actively engaged as Sharingan Kuro not only placed a wall of flames around Iori but continued his assault upon the seven giant blade wielding assassins, whom fought magnificently. For every blade he dodged, he had to parry another, for each blade he parried he was literally knocked aside leaving him open to a strike from three different sources. Were Sanryougan Kuro not observing everyone's movements from a central standpoint things would be much harder. Metallic barrier knocked aside the pole wielding assassins and barred access to Azame and Suzuhime whom continued their personal battle uninterrupted.

Kuro shattered the weapons of the chain wielders forcing them into launching shuriken and kunai as they tried to back away only to end up backed into metallic walls with Toraono Clan markings. Kuro smirked as his arms enveloped themselves in dark chakra as he unleashed a group demolishing attack. He placed both his hands together and a wall of suppressive force knocked them all unconscious, many questions would be asked of them as Kuro stepped over their unconscious bodies as metallic bars formed over their limbs and waists as Sanryougan Kuro acted as traffic control. Kuro then placed himself outside of the walls that blocked access to Suzuhime and his mother. He would let no one pass, no one would harm his ladies.

Suzuhime's elbow whipped around to slam into Azame's guard and ended up causing a cut upon her elbow, Azame's limbs functioned like blades and whips, she was devastatingly lethal in all her combat ways with her movement allowing her to blade off to any opponent. She leaped back so as not to cut Azame again as she used her palm and the back of her hand only to fight Suzuhime in a way that would leave only bruises, not cuts and gaping holes. Azame's eyes seemed to glaze over for a moment before they took a different focus as blood was spilled and her eyes became bloodshot red. Her left hand became a blur striking like a viper to hit Suzuhime's left shoulder leaving a serious bruise and causing her left arm to feel slighty numb. Azame was trying to control her natural Nanjirou bloodlust but it wasn't easy. "Take my sight, and manage to strike my blade guard, you are everything I need in my future daughter in law, but you are making it hard not to use lethal force, Kuro specializes in non lethal combat because he is diplomacy. I am not a diplomat, I am the end of things and the end of days... I will do my best not to cause you arm but once blood has been spilled I am obligated by my ancestors to spill more..."

For Harupia it would all seem choreographed like some great play, everything was quite well done, the stances, the combat, the actual challenges. Kuro seemed to be everywhere all at once, it was a magnificent show at the very least.

Chizuru, Iori, and Nani were protected by violet flames, they could see through them and there was very little heat toward them. It was all seemingly directed outward to keep others at bay.

Shifting his gaze to his right slightly as Sousuke ordered him to take one alive, Mikaboshi halted his advance towards the assassins and straightened up as he listened to Sousuke's instruction. Take one alive? How boring. Mikaboshi had hoped to simply kill the fools and be done with it so that he could go back about his business. But now he would need to be careful enough with his power to leave at least one of them breathing and that did not at all sit well with the hungry and impatient Ancient. But Sousuke's will was to be done by the hand of Mikaboshi, as per the pact that they had signed together.

"Yes, my lord." Mikaboshi responded quietly, turning his attention back to the assassins as one of the females stepped forward to make an announcement. Listening to her words, the only things that Mikaboshi managed to will himself to care about were the reference to the Sunahoshi being revived and the challenge to his power. His lip curling in disgust, Mikaboshi growled quietly at the mention of the Sunahoshi line. He still harbored an ancient hatred for them. For what that bloodline had done to him. It was their fault that he had been sealed within a sword for thousands of years. If they had simply released him when Fuujin had presented the Black Blade to their leader at the time, he would have been able to reconstitute himself and muster some form of revenge against the Ancient of Sun and Sky in his weakened state. But instead they had opted to incarcerate him further by placing the Black Blade into their vaults for safe keeping. "For the greater good". As for the challenge to his might...

"By all means, try." He remarked leisurely as the three began to pulse their chakra out of their bodies and position themselves for an attack. He expected some form of combination attack from the triplets but what he got was... underwhelming to say the least. Instead of trying to put their attacks together for some form of strategy which would emphasize their strengths against Mikaboshi, they opted instead for a head-on charge. All three of them. The three assassins crossed the space between them at admirable speed but to the eyes of Mikaboshi they simply weren't threatening. He already had a low opinion of humans to begin with but these three transcended that. "Really?"

The first of them dove in at Mikaboshi with her daggers and stabbed directly through where his head was, her dagger biting into what felt like a direct hit and sinking in. Mikaboshi imagined that for a split second she must have seemed elated to have pierced the Ancient Lord so easily but that elation would fade to horror as Mikaboshi's face wavered and faded from sight as it collapsed into his shadow and revealed him to have shuffled slightly to the side, just enough to evade the attack but close enough to retaliate. Lashing out with his right hand, Mikaboshi grabbed the side of the assassin's head and before she had the opportunity to respond to his aggression flung her from her feet into the lunging form of her sister interrupting her attack as well. Turning his gaze to where the two assassins impacted and entangled from the opposing inertia that they'd struck each other with, Mikaboshi's incandescent eyes sparked brighter for a moment before twin beams of similarly colored gold and black energy erupted from his eyes into a menacing blast of power that slammed into the sister which was closer to where he stood and catapulted them both across the room and through the far wall of the building with a bone-breaking crash. Turning with preternatural speed, Mikaboshi whirled upon the third sister that possessed the strange chakra aura and raised his hand to block her knife blow-- allowing the knife to pierce through the leather and flesh of his hand to throw her off balance as he took a step forward and grabbed her by the throat before lifting her into the air.

"You... disappoint me." He hissed into Nanigiri's face, the disdain he held for her palpable in his words. "Beg. Beg me for your life and perhaps I will spare it."

[These gals seem like mooks so I'm treating them that way. If that's an issue Kuro, PM me and I'll get an edit up so we can do it the way that befits an NPC that's more important.]

Fire Forged Fury

Mikaboshi took to his enemies once again. The Steward was agitated, and compromised in a way he had never been. His eyes glowed brightly with fiery chakra. The Steward gripped the black blade, and Mikaboshi could feel something stir in Sousuke that he never felt before. It was unclear as to what it was, but it was becoming more and more apparent as it crystallized into a force of fury. The Steward's form began to expel chakra with a fiery force. His chakra encompassed his body and crackles like flames. Mikaboshi had already went to combat the three, and that the Steward regretted for he too wanted to bring the battle to them.

"I am Takahashi Sousuke the third of my family name. Son of Takahashi Judori and Masashi Chiyoko. In absence of a Sunahoshi I am Guardian Protectorate of these people and these lands."<i></i> His voice was clearly audible, and much louder than usual. "This High Ancient is my confided ally and mentor. He is not yours to slay, he is within the realm of my protectorate."<i></i> The Steward pointed his blade at Nanigiri. "Queen Azame too is within the realm of my protectorate and is a most valued teacher."<i></i> The Steward shook his head, "I am the Steward-Kazekage not by choice but because of we Takahashi have always been and will be Stewards. We are bound to the Sunahoshi, but their records do not speak of a Hogane. You are confounded liars and thieves if you think to seat a fictional Sunahoshi on the Diamond throne."<i></i> The Steward walked up to Mikaboshi who was still holding his enemy high in the air. "If you do as the Ancient has told you, I will ensure you a life sentence in the Obsidian Palace. That of course is more favourable to death, more importantly death at the hand of an Ancient."<i></i> The last part was said quietly, only for herself and Mikaboshi to hear. The Steward nodded his head at Mikaboshi. Usually the Steward would not permit the Ancient to foul a body with his dark powers, but he was most willing here to make an exception now that he was compromised. He would not permit that in public of course seeing as how there were children present.

Chizuru instantly rejects the demons with a shout that startled Nani. “I really need to stop listening to Maho.” Before Nani could go on the offensive, someone surrounds her with a barrier of flame. Nani, Chizuru and Iroi seemed to be forced to watch. Her dolls that tackled the one assassin fall lifeless as the wall severed their connection. “Where’s mom? Mom? Mom?” She looks around frantically with eyes scanning the area. Then she saw her lying on the ground eyes shut. Nani foolishly rush at the wall towards her mother, but then stops as the flash threaten to scorch her body. “MOM!” She screams tears running down her face like rivers. Nani couldn’t tell if she was alive or not. “Let me out. Please, let me out.”

Harupia preoccupied himself with the fight between Azame and Suzuhime, both because of their excellence of execution when it came to Taijutsu, as well as...well, he had to admit, both were perfect models of women beauty...even you couldn’t say they were exactly feminine at the moment. Still, Harupia watched them most out of all the commotion, not only because he found them the most worthy of watching, but also they were the most stable element of the show. Though eh couldn’t help to turn his head a few times as he consumed something from one of the tables. He needed some sustenance if he was to keep track of all of this. And so he nibbled on a severed chicken wing, holding up a clump of sand in his hands, forming it with his will into a miniature sculpture, be it of Suzuhime or Azame. A small mental memento to help him recreate their battle afterwards. Still, he couldn’t quite focus on the battle, with all the other events around him.

It all looked really well prepared, every fighter knowing their role just perfectly, knowing how to block, dodge, and when to fall once they were struck down...still, something just didn’t feel right. For such an elaborate staging, it all looked a bit too good, as if the actors here were actual fighters. Which wouldn’t be that surprising considering this was put forward by the head of the Toranao clan. Kuro seemed to be everywhere, facing multiple challenges. What made him a bit more curious was the fact that the Steward himself, Sousuke, seemed to be in on the plot as well. And he was greeting really into his role, booming with anger in his voice. It was curious, to see him battle ready...and angry at the same time. Now, he didn’t know him that well, but if he were to judge by what he knew, he wouldn’t be that capable of such expressive acting...could he have been truly angry.

His musing was interrupted as he heard the maid girl shout out, which caused him to turn his head. The girl was in front of a fiery wall, calling out to her mother...which he assumed was on its other side. Close to her stood Iori, who was seemingly consoling hi slaughter...hmm, either the children didn’t enjoy such a exciting display, or something was of here... Deciding that idleness didn’t serve him quite well, he would drop the chicken bone, and the sand in his hand would quickly slither under the sleeve of his garments. Moving hastily, he would pass most of the people on the other side of the purple flames, and in one swift motion he would run towards and jump, hoping to get over the flaming obstacle. He didn’t fear the fire, since he knew that as long as he was swift it probably wouldn’t catch onto his robes...or at least he would have enough time to remove them. Once on the other side, if he didn’t burst into flames after his maneuver he would kneel over the fallen women who he asked was the girl’s mother and then ask "Lady, are you ok?" kneeling in front of her. Unwillingly, perhaps becoming part of the spectacle himself. Had the heir of the Sunaku know that assassin were praying on the lives of the nobles gathered here, he might have been more careful...or would join the fray sooner.

(Hope I have not taken to many liberties with this post o.ob)

Chizuru was ashamed of herself for having lost her head so quickly when her father was in danger. She didn’t think of herself in danger. The important thing was that Iori was and she was not helping in any way by curling up and screaming at the voices in her head. Thankfully just as quickly as they had come, they had gone and little Chizuru was held in her father’s arms, protected both by him and some manner of flame barrier.

“I-I’m ok daddy! Please forgive me. There were these voices in my head…I think they were trying to help me, but I…I panicked.”

Iori would of course be very familiar with Chizuru’s dislike for anyone or anything being able to get into her mind so he’d no doubt be able to understand why she had lost her cool there. It didn’t look like she was going to be needed for fighting as there were plenty of people there that were capable of fighting. Chizuru, would save her strength for when the time for healing came. She was trained to fight and kill, but she avoided it when she could. Chizuru couldn't help but to feel sorry for Nani, whom was crying for her mother. It seemed liked the two children were only so far adding to the mess that these unknown enemies causing.

When Suzuhime's elbow had gone headlong into Azame's guard, she was instantly cut across the flesh that connected. She could feel the sting of striking the bladed skin. Well that was kind of unfair. At least Suzuhime could still hit like a hammer each time she landed a blow. And Azame's senses began to fail her, starting with her eyes. However, it seemed the queen of steel was beginning to get drunk off of the lust for battle. An instant later launching another flurry of blows that left her arm bruised and somewhat numb. But this pin was nothing. She stated that she may not be able to hold back if more blood was spilled. However, Suzuhime in her state of battle, didn't mind. Even responding in a cheery manner.

"I wouldn't have it any other way 'mom'."

Suzuhime herself would begin to be glazed over in the heat of battle. Quickly losing herself to the power of her technique. She was going to prove she was strong too. Even to an enemy that was clearly stronger then her. Her hands would nearly become invisible when the fire around it darkened to a sickening pitch black/purple mix. Not only would Azame's sight begin to fail her, the next time Suzuhime would touch her bare flesh, Azame would begin to feel sluggish. And her hearing would be impaired. Using so much energy was taking it's toll on Suzuhime, among the heat of battle, between the use of her technique as well. She was going a little stir crazy. Adopting a creepy grin before she launched her next flurry. She would vanish again. Knowing full fell that Azame would have a harder time tracking Suzuhime due to the dulling of her eyesight, Suzuhime appearing to the steel queen's right side and attempting a bit of Xing Yi Quan. She would parry Azame's arm upwards, exposing her ribs. then launching a powerful glancing blow with her other arm. Strong enough to blow Azame backwards. Lightly rubbing the bruise Azame had left on her left arm. Suzuhime's eyes still having a wild look within them. And at some point during their skirmish, they had been encased in an arena of spiritual fire.

Despite the somewhat peaceful atmosphere the event once held it was no longer as inviting as it had started. Despite their open doors and hospitality people sought to disrupt the otherwise happy affairs. From what Nori could observe however, it was the bride-to-be and Toraono matron that were first to stir up trouble. While it was important for their rituals to continue within the battle-borne clan, their decision to hold them here were poor. Many people had shown up due to the Toraono's generosity and unfortunately not everyone was a trained shinobi, their fiasco placing many in danger since they obviously weren't showing any restraint.

Then assassins.

Stupid, moronic assassins.

Either they were full of themselves, didn't do their research on their target or the village, or both. They underperformed, were outclassed and stood no chance to the already battle-hungry elite ninja attending the party. Nori however found it all in poor taste. Families, including young children were all present. The grotesque bloodshed and gore were uncalled for against such underwhelming odds. Just because the world was filled with ninja didn't mean every person in it had to be scarred by one too.

Nori sipped his wine.

It tasted bitter now. Setting down the glass, seeing no way to reverse the situation, he stood near the crowd of helpless guests and civilians, ready to intervene or otherwise disable any attacker lame-minded enough to make a move on them with more deadly targets dispatching their partners. no matter the outcome of this situation, Nori knew came to a few realizations. The security of the village was lacking if this many assassins had managed their way in. The Toraono females were chemically imbalanced and were as much a threat to the general public as a rogue ninja. What had happened to the proud village he had remembered before leaving for his journey? What had happened?

"And this is why I like to stay working..."<i></i> He sighed, standing at his self-assigned post.

Mikaboshi grabbed the seemingly young woman unaware of his predicament. They had planned to simply bowl him over and get a clearer shot at Azame by taunting him instead he had proved to be a threat that they must remove. Worse still the Steward Kazekage had laid claim to Azame and the Ancient as his own to be protected. They did not want to go up against a potential ally but he left them no choice. As Mikaboshi’s power manifested yet again allowing her to determine he was a Shadow Master. It would not save him as she revealed their true power. Blood spilled by her sister lanced up into Mikaboshi’s legs lightly hindering his reforged body as the immediate area grew extremely cold in response to the flames of Sousuke’s blade and Kuro’s actions. The shadow Ancient would be mildly startled but completely unimpressed as the woman revealed she wasn’t even human. She was one of the undead, an unbent warrior woman dedicated to a sealed Sunahoshi lord whom had freed her from her shackles over 200 moons ago along with her kindred whom had been sealed into that horrid prison. Her kindred the Swordsmen of Kimone were legend in their day and now their new sovereign was on the verge of being released from his own imprisonment. All they needed to do was bleed the Queen of Steel Country, they preferred her dead so she could not re-seal their lord but blood upon their sacred blade would do the trick nonetheless.

Nanigiri rose from the wall she had been blasted into with her sister as she controlled the blood while the other sister began to ice the area around Mikaboshi over. The youngest sister held in Mikaboshi’s grip received his threat with a smirk as she grabbed his arm in return with both hands before unleashing her power. ”The blades of Kimone never beg, but perhaps you will… SONIC BOOM!!!” Her body vibrated then released a sharp clap of thunderous sound as she lashed out with sonic strikes and deft kicks that would cause any true mortal to buckle and collapse. That would not be the case with Mikaboshi but perhaps his internal capabilities would be affected in some way.

Kuro danced the swordsman’s dance as he finally pulsed with enough strength to withstand the giant blades splitting the air as they slashed for him. They were completely dumbfounded on how he could dodge almost everything they threw even as a group. It was as if Kuro had eyes in the back of his head, which was actually the case in a manner of speaking as his other self could see not only their movement but the movement of their spirit energy which again he noted was surprisingly high. Steel talismans lashed out to strike them and further hinder their teamwork.

Harupia tried to leap over the wall of flame but luckily Kuro noticed and it lowered for him but just as it did so a steel kunai launched into the mass of people. Perhaps Iori or Harupia could deflect or dodge it.

Nori noted with distaste that innocent people stood a good chance of getting hurt not noticing that the assassins were all Suna born and likely part of some cult and even worse that there were barriers and clansmen making sure the Toraono Matron’s battle did not spill over to affect neutral parties.

Just when the assassins thought they had closed in on Azame and Suzuhime, there was an intense blurring motion and all the assassins not pinned or engaged by Kuro were soundly unconscious or in need of serious medical attention as Kaibudo having finally identified all possible targets had officially made his move. With speed only Sennin and the Kazekage or Mikaboshi could comprehend he struck sixteen different assailants in one fell swoop of an attack knocking each one senseless, while the Toraono Servants appointed to the Queen and Suzuhime promptly removed their odd weapons and restrained them. As quickly as the show began inside it soon began to wind down as the assassin’s threat was removed save the poor fellows facing Mikaboshi, Kuro, Sousuke and possibly Iori and Harupia.

Azame managed to control her blood lust and with careful aim countered each blow from Suzuhime with her other senses making sure to use her wrapped armored limbs so as not to cut Suzuhime or be further mentally burdened by her attacks. Just when Suzuhime believed she had gotten a solid hit in. She found she ha d struck an afterimage instead as an intense pressure struck her from above where Azame had leapt to the ceiling and palm struck the top of Suzuhime’s head as she leapt above and faced her opponent Toraono Antigravity style.

Once Mikaboshi was frozen the Steward worked through one handed seals at surprising speeds. Ox. Tiger. Bear. Each of these seals were ingrained in the mind of Sousuke. What technique he was working on was a mystery at first as he was combining seals for electrical and fire elements. Upon completion the Steward held out his palm and unleashed his attack which was a beam consisting of the two elements. The Steward aimed the beam at Nanigiri's arm attempting to completely sever it from her body. The reason being that his enemy had revealed herself to be an undead, which Sousuke lacked the mental capacity to truly comprehend. The Steward did not believe in ghosts. He knew that flesh could be reanimated, and that it could last for some time before completely decorating. "Cease function."<i></i> The Steward spoke as he followed up with another blast from his palm. This one was meant to sever a portion of his undead foe's leg. "Then again you should have ceased to function a long time ago due to the lack of blood flow in your body."<i></i>

The Steward after attempting to slice his foe with plasma chakra attempted to free Mikaboshi from his icy prison with a heat jutsu. The Steward again ran through more one handed seals this time following suit with a firey jutsu. He knew the limits of Mikaboshi's shell as he was the one who made it in the first place. The Steward beneath his face plate gritted his teeth. Whether or not Kuro liked it, it was time to call it. The Steward's voice rose in volume as he gave his orders. "This is the Steward. All non-combat proficient individuals are hereby ordered to leave the premises. Failure to comply may result in death or severe injury. Anbu in the area are to seal off the premises once civilians have evacuated. This is a level four code yellow. Those of Hyuuga or Uchiha descent are to make use of dojutsu techniques to determine threats as the foe lacks proper vital signs."<i></i>

Her mother wakes up and thanks the man. Nani breathes easier know that she was alright. However she was still stuck watching the action behind the wall of flame. Nani would continue the show she started earlier, but half of her dolls were on the other side of the wall include the two bunnies. The tournament was a no go. Nani was just starting to impress Chizuru before all of this mess happen. She even made Chizuru mad with her one technique. No, Nani was not giving up; not yet. She was going to make a friend today one way or another. “Hey Chizuru, watch this.” She was about to do something she only did in front of people she felt comfortable with. Nani just hopes this is not another mistake.

She closes her eyes, takes a deep breath and raises her hands up slowly. A green flame rise up off her body and grew until she completely engulfed by it. She was a light in the darkness attracting demons like moths to a flame. Even Kuro’s demon looking through Kuro’s eyes would be entranced by the flame. Rats, spiders and insects came out and watched the flame, but all of them more than what they appeared. Some were cleanly demon with extra tails or runes on their body. While others you would swear were merely animals. All of them seemed hypnotized by the dance of the green flame. It invited them and drew them to her. “Would you like to see how I make my dolls move?”

Things were getting quite intense. This party had gone to hell quite quickly thanks to the assassins who did not seem to be as prepared as they should have been. Thankfully Iori was unhurt as was most of the guest. Most of the injuries were on the side of the intruders which allowed Chizuru to concentrate more on formulating a plan for a quick egress instead of worrying about the wounded. She’d turn her gaze back to Nani when the girl asks that question and Chizuru tilts her head for a moment. The energy in the air was overwhelming…so many powerful forces at hand. All Chizuru could think of was getting out of there as the Kazekage had ordered them to.

“I do not believe now is the time, my friend, for such things. We should do as our wise leader says and make for the exits. Use your dolls to cover out exit and make sure your mother can escape as well. I do not think we will be of much use for those who will be staying.”

Chizuru looks over at her father and nods to him.

“Now’s the best time to go, with all the distractions going on.”

The incoming barrage of sonics and physical assaults battered against Mikaboshi but he did not loose his grip upon the girl's throat. Frozen in place as he was by the rime created by one of the other female assassins, Mikaboshi instead focused all of his attention on the one that he had in his hand. She was lively given her undeathly nature, he had to give her that. But her attacks were small time compared to what the Ancient was used to. He had recently dueled a human being possessed by a sword that had literally brought nation-wide calamity to the Wind Country in the past. He still had burns upon his flesh from where Tengokai of the Ryuu Clan had scorched him. But these assassins were not even his equal. Not alone. Together they might have been considered somewhat formidable by they fought as singular units rather than as a team. With their associate in his grasp, the least helpful thing they could do for her was put Mikaboshi in a circumstance where he would be inclined to give her his undivided attention. Feeling the wounds created by the sonic blast at such close range, Mikaboshi tightened his grip slightly upon the throat of the thrashing girl as he continued to weather her physical assaults. The sonic blast had taken it's toll by ripping open a handful of internal spots causing a rupture or two of ichor from his shell of a body but it was ultimately not yet life threatening. The natural regenerative factor of the body that Sousuke had designed would take care of most of the damage in time and at least keep it under control long enough for him to finish his battle.

"Is that all the fight you can muster? With your very existence on the line... the best you can do is flail wildly?" He asked through the pummeling, glaring up at the girl with malice in his eyes. "As you are clearly too thick-skulled to understand how much danger you are in, allow me to give you some motivation."

Raising his hand that still had the girl's knife plunged through it, Mikaboshi held it where she could see it for a moment before summoning his chakra. Dark green and black light gathered for a moment before condensing itself into the form of a short sword constructed entirely of that same green and black energy which hovered parallel with Mikaboshi's hand. Blades such as these were constructed and wielded with his will alone and though he commonly held and swung the blade with his hand, he did not require his wounded hand to wield the blade. The technique which he'd used to generate the energy blade was one of Mikaboshi's favorites and was malleable in nature. While alone the blade was dangerous enough, he could change the way it attacked and functioned with but a flourish of his wrist. He was still recovering many of his old techniques and unfortunately had not recovered all of the various methods to use this particular one but the ones he had at his disposal were sufficient for his purposes. At such a close range with his target immobilized, he didn't need much else. If the assassin's allies did not come immediately to her aid and she could not find a way to escape Mikaboshi's grasp, he would simply gut her with the slashing power of his mighty blade and be done with it. He was well aware that a single swing with the blade was unlikely to finish her, given that she did not possess all of the same weaknesses that a mortal human being might, but he figured that with enough liberal application of his energy blade he would find a way to end her life.

Well, luckily for him Harupia managed to leap through the fire unscathed. But it seemed that whatever was controlling the flames was lowering them for his jump. Which wasn’t bad in itself, but it caused a stray Kunai to get past the barrier. Luckily, the general situation had him on his toes, so he was prepared for that. From under his robes, and from the general vicinity around him (you'd be surprised how much sand was brought into a room, even when you’re under the desert) and formed a quick barrier before him, which easily stopped the stray projectile. Possibly a bit of an overkill, but he couldn’t be sure if more of the projectiles wouldn’t make it past the flames. Besides, with years of practice conjuring up this kind of defense was simply a matter of thinking, or even a simple reflex if he was prepared for it.

With the Kunai stopped, the shield would disperse, and then would fall to the ground, around the feet of the Sunaku. He kind of wished he could take of his shoes now...the feeling of the sand under his feet is something he missed from his trips to the surface. But now there was no time to think of such simple pleasures. Sousuke, who was quite busy fighting on his own, had given a clear order. This was no choreographed show. This was an actual attack. Helping the mother of the child stand up, he would turn to Iori and say "Iori-san, I think it’ll be in our best interest to get the children and other civilians out of here...You can cross the flames safely, don’t worry about that. " nodding to the medic through the flames, while he himself tried to guide the other people towards the exit as they passed him, now panic setting in their minds. He kept himself close to the red-haired scientist in case he needed assistance. And he also had a wary eye on all the combatants, who were occupied elsewhere for now...but still, a single kunai could be the herald of another assault coming

ENDGAME:
Beginning of Steel Arc

Things seemed to happen all at once as Kuro in all three of manifestations made a combined assault on every identified and unbound assassin save the three that Sousuke and Mikaboshi faced. Ephemeral flames followed up by metallic tags piercing and marking each assassin and finally a resounding telekinetic blast that only targeted the assassins cleared the area allowing all the people attending the party to make their way out of the other exits save the main entrance. Harupia stopped the Kunai thrown at Iori and assisted him and his daughter in escaping the area as the wall of flames dissipated. Kuro noted the little girl playing with demon magic but had no time to address her usage of hellfire as he and the ANBU response teams quickly bound several of the assassins while the others used sand, earth, and stone escape measures. The sonic wave using girl held by Mikaboshi screamed at the formation of the dark energy blade but as it came slashing down Mikaboshi found himself slashing into a crystalline statue that seemed all too familiar in its features as if the knowledge behind the statue's existence was taunting him. Sousuke's plasma blasts were slapped aside with a strange ease until he realized the undead woman was all too familiar with plasma and things blessed with lightning. Suzuhime oblivious to the dangers around her as she focused on besting her future mother in law, she managed a full fledged backhand strike that manged to split Azame's lip as blood flew in a high arc to land upon the blade of a bound an unsuspecting assassin whom had been knocked to the ground by Kuro's metal jutsu. The blade glowed a vibrant crimson. Nanigiri smiled as she electromagnetically manipulated her blade whip to retrieve the blood touched blade to her as she carefully placed the blade in a sealing pouch where it was summoned away. The Steel Queen wasn't dead but with her blood their Sunahoshi could still be released. The sonic sister reappeared behind Nanigiri as all three women performed a series of handseals before turning to mists and escaping through some ventilation valves with a cheering yell of success despite their losses. A great many assassins had been captured and none of the ones captured were undead or reanimated.

Azame fell ill but it seemed to be an afteraffect from Suzuhime's battle prowess. Everyone, even the ANBU were given celebratory cake, and meals to go. Mikaboshi ended up with a dozen new victims for his tests inside the Obsidian Palace. Sousuke ended up with a mystery and a slew of slightly advanced yet truly archaic weapons, with odd yet somewhat familiar markings upon them. Kuro made sure all the guests were checked over medically before beginning a thorough check of the area. An investigation would be launched, it was time to get started.
