Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Poison Mastery + Poison Resistance:

Konesutoraiki is a blade of poison, it slashes and cuts down its master's enemies without a second thought. However, this special blade doesn't just slice and dice but rather it injects a lethal poison into the bodies of those who stand before Engei. It is because of this that Engei has became quite the lethal weapon in combat, but that is largely down to Konesutraiki. It wasn't too long after the two bonded that the Chuunin began experimenting with the poison, Black Lotus, that the sword expelled from its metal frame. He would study its chemistry, the duration, cause & effect and how much tolerance a person would need to stand against the poisoned sword. Over the course of several months, Engei would pierce his flesh with the very tip of the sword and allow the poison to enter his bloodstream. He did this for months and months just to build up an intolerance towards poison. His mastery of poison followed in pursuit of this new intolerance. Engei began to explore what other poisons where out there, and how he could use them during combat. It was made very clear that his blade was a perfect conduit for passing on these dangerous poisons.

Healing Factor + Thick Blood + Human Anatomy:

Despite being a Chuunin, Engei has experienced his fair share of fights and bloodshed that would be expected of a shinobi to experience, especially at his age. Although his body had hardened, somewhat emotionally, there was still an undoubtedly flawed aspect of the human body that he would train laboriously to alter. Engei trained his body, like every other, to harden himself from the pain of attacks and other fatigues of life. And specifically after his sister's attack, the Chuunin pushed his body further and further; enabling him to take less damage from injuries and afflictions cursed onto him by others. Taking a hit was one thing but recovering from those wounds was, indeed, another. Engei would often experiment with concoctions that would harness the natural healing of the body. Although this altercation of his anatomy had some side-effects, which lasted for months on end, the end result was a re-cooperation period that had been shortened. This new found ability came in very useful as it allowed him to recover lost fatigue, endurance and life energy to continue on with a battle. It absolutely came in useful.

Additionally, something that should be mentioned was Engei's slight interest in the human anatomy. After the injuries that had been placed upon his sister, the Chuunin began to study human anatomy as a side-hobby. This enabled him to experiment with herbs, natural healing materials and other remedies. The body was a temple, and how had to understand the temple before ransacking it. This human anatomy ability allowed Engei to attack an opponent precisely, crippling them with ease or dispatching them in one quick flash. It was truly a blessing and a curse - the latter being much more dominant in this moral dilemma.

Duelist + Nimble Hands + Quick Draw + Bull's Strength:

Being a swordsman, Engei learned that one had to hone their skills to precisely attack an opponent. The methodical thinker and the logical tactician were both forced to make an appearance within the Chuunin in order for him to acquire such an age old ability. After relentless training and exhausting all the brain foods in the world, Engei would soon come to comprehend the expertise that was needed to attack a single foe with his might. This ability granted the man with bonuses in his attributes, something that really gave him a true one-up on whoever his foe was, truly.

After acquiring the Duelist ability, Engei moved on to two fascinating concepts of Kenjutsu that intertwined with Ninjutsu. He would soon start to practice the concept of both swift unsheathing of his blade, a crucial moment in any battle, and the concept of using ninjutsu while holding a weapon. The latter was harder to learn, of course, but the Quick Draw ability was something that came quite naturally to Engei after more sessions of training in the meadows. Nimble Hands took a bit more effort, as it required the user to learn how to effectively cast ninjutsu while holding a weapon. Molding the chakra was easy enough but understanding how to distribute it and effectively cast it out in the dense from of a jutsu was quite troublesome. It took many, many sleepless nights for Engei to comprehend and then to effectively perform a ninjutsu while holding a weapon. The ability, Nimble Hands, would come in useful in almost any situation. Although, this of course would tire of the Chuunin's actions for a period of time. It was a costly technique to learn but something that was important to have in one's arsenal. much like the Quick Draw ability, a deadly combination.

Bull's Strength was an ability that Engei had to train relentless for, he never really enjoyed the exercise that built muscle because it was always quite laborious and painful. It often took a lot out of him but never-the-less he pursued onwards with his ambition of becoming stronger. This would of course be solely for his blade and how he could add damage onto every attack, which would balance out the high accuracy he has. After months of training, the fruits of his labour were finally revealed. While on a mission, particularly a nasty one that involved some bandits, Engei realised that his blade has more physical force than it previously did.

414w

Jutsu Mastery + Hyperactive:

As a shinobi, Engei was expected to utilise his God-given right to perform jutsu, whether that be in the form of Gen, Nin or Tai. However, there was something that he often pondered on; might the body be able to recharge their chakra reserves quicker than normally possible? Well, the Chuunin was on a mission to find out. After exhaustive training, this time chakra training, the shinobi came to learn that his body adapted and became hyperactive - it produced somewhat more chakra after a short duration. This of course was something that he would need crucially when faced with a powerful foe, someone who may have a larger chakra reserve than him.

Jutsu Mastery is something that Engei became quite familiar with after his 20th year on this planet. Already quite a formidable foe, the Chuunin trained for every day and every night, expanding his knowledge on ninjutsu and specifically taijutsu. He became well versed in the art of Kenjutsu and the application of killing someone with it - although he never liked to do so needlessly. This ability gave Engei the insight to pull back on the costs of chakra that each technique would cost him. This of course would enable him to last longer during a battle, and would allow him to use more techniques in conjunction with the Hyperactive ability he had only recently learned.

Engei was never really that well versed in ninjutsu but was often lectured about its importance at a young age from those around him. He never really saw its importance, it was just a tool to kill like any other form of jutsu. Even after discovering his potential, i.e. a Major and Minor affinity towards Earth and Lightning respectively, the Chuunin still did not see the purpose of learning more about ninjutsu.

It wasn't till after Oda had suffered horrific injuries from senseless drunkards that Engei began to ponder the usefulness of ninjutsu. He wasn't a medical ninja, and thus unable to heal her terrible and irreversible afflictions, so what could he do it bring her smile back? Shortly after her attack, Engei began to research the elements, he read lore about heroes and villains who could manipulate the elements of this world and create a new type of ninjutsu. He knew what affinities lay in his temple, but it wasn't until he read about the manipulation of those two elements that he finally took an interest in ninjutsu again.

After reading up on an old tale of a Konohagakure shinobi, who could create paper from Earth and Lightning, Engei began to explore his chances of replicating this ability. It took a hefty time, and the exhaustion that was placed over the young man's head was even more unfavourable. But after what felt like a few years, he managed to replicate the same Paper based jutsu that was used so long ago.

However, the real reason behind learning this ability was so that he could create paper origami for Oda. She loved to see something new and with this technique, she was always going to see something delightful. Well as long as she didn't touch the sharp edges and get herself a papercut.

Unlearning Thick Blood, Jutsu Mastery and Poison Resistance in place of Bloody Mess, Hidden Power and Fearless. Below contains a the second option to unlearning abilities, found here.

Bloody Mess --> Thick Blood
Hidden Power --> Jutsu Mastery
Fearless --> Poison Resistance
Thick Blood --> Bloody Mess:

After those gruelling hours of training amounted to a build up endurance, the ability to change his body into that of stone. Well, speaking creatively. The Chuunin had decided that he needed to focus his body on other important, tactical advantages that would give him the upper hand in any fight. Engei decided that it would be best to lower his capacity of thick blood back to its original form so that he could learn this new ability to really cut deep. The Chuunin decided to focus on this ability that would help his attack, mostly to increase his critical attack rate.

This ability, it came with this unsightly lust to cut deep, and draw blood. It started off pretty timidly but as the Chuunin started to delve deeper into this mad lust, he would soon begin to change how he fought - targeting points that were critical to an opponent so that he could increase the rank of bleeding and reduce a foe to a bloody mess. It was really a very useful technique to have in your arsenal given that it did what it said on the tin. Bloody mess would increase the bleeding rank while also producing bonuses, or advantages, to him in a fight.

The Chuunin would practice for days on scores of dead animals, from the butcher's, he would buy pig carcases and attack them feverishly. Engei did not want to even attempt to practice this technique against another person because that would be too barbaric. He would insistently practice on the scores of dead animals to try and improve his ability.

To lose thick blood was something that he could feel during missions or whenever he had to train with someone. He noticed the difference of how much his body could take, and this unsettled the Chuunin somehwat. He still tried to improve his body's capabilities so that bloody mess could make up the difference for the loss of thick blood. This however did mean that Engei was becoming more of an attacker rather relying on abilities that were passive and defensive in nature. This would ensure a swift victory if the man was able to gash his opponent into pieces. Truly it was an exhilarating thought, something that mildly disturbed the Chuunin, but intruded him. Never-the-less, it would come in useful in almost any fight and enable the Chuunin to pass through the threshold of life or death.

404w

Jutsu Mastery --> Hidden Power:

Justu Mastery was indeed a useful ability to have in one's possession but its usefulness had ran dry within the swordsman for the better part of having obtained the technique. He didn't really see the advantage of having such an ability and thus decided to adapt his body into a state of forgetting it but focusing on something else. He decided that he would focus on his physical capabilities instead, something he was abit miffed about not doing beforehand and wasting time on learning Jutsu Mastery. Engei had to unlearn the Jutsu Mastery through just trying to forget it as best as possible. He didn't use a lot of ninjutsu and therefore did not rely on chakra specifically, he used Kenjutsu mixed with chakra yes, but not solely on it as his attacking power.

Engei practised with his loyal sword for the better part of his training, slashing and cutting, bringing his body to the physical brink. It was always at the brink that the man exercised the ability to push forward and reveal more strength, more power and enable himself to combat the fatigue of battle and the lack of endurance he faced at any point during his training regimes or battles. The hidden power ability was something that had to be learned through the brutality of meeting fists, blades and getting hurt pretty badly at times. He wasn't excited to do this but was driven by the thought that this ability would help him improve to new heights.

The more and more Engei trained, he became beaten and turned into a bruised peach, but slowly started to forget about jutsu mastery. He was soon becoming forgetful in how to use the ability, and that in itself was causing him some problems when it came to dispensing his chakra to his blade. This wasn't exactly that fun as he needed to control his chakra precisely when training otherwise it would really be drawback during a fight. But with the loss of one technique, a new one was beginning to take its place, and this new ability was the hidden power that lays dormant in almost every soul upon this great earth.

The Chuunin would soon find that his horrendously brutal training was coming to an end, and from that point onwards whenever he was in a pinch - the story of hidden power would unfold and fill the Chuunin this sudden emergence of power.

404w

Poison Resistance --> Fearless:

Engei discovered that the majority of opponents he faced were not using poison. They re-framed from using that instead they were solely using ninjutsu, genjutsu or taijutsu. It was slightly disheartening because this meant that Engei would have to remove that ability from his memory, from his body and soul. With the help of his poison blade, however, this was made easier if the loyal blade concocted a new brand of poison that Engei's body was not used to. The blade would administer a poison via connect and Engei would begin the gruelling ritual of unlearning an ability. This type of training, this highly unorthodox solution to unlearning an ability was no advised.

Over the course of his training the Chuunin would continue to administer this new lethal poison in small doses, which would ultimately degrade his body as he was completely incapable of handling it. Now to learn his next ability, the Chuunin thought it wise to abuse the ability of his poisoned blade and try to almost kill himself for the sole reason of progressing his physical capabilities. Engei would up the dosage of the poison causing him tremendous pain and suffering, which would ultimately bring him closer and closer to the brink of death.

He was, at first, terrified of this darkness that would overtake his soul and swallow it whole. After the first few instances where the Chuunin faced death in the face and was brought back thanks to a pair of hired hands, he began to see that death was truly something not to fear, and rather embrace for it was that deserving sleep that everyone got in the end of their life cycle. The poison would seep into his major organs, damaging them to a repairable extent, but also to a point where he could potentially die from these self-inflicted injuries.

Engei didn't mind that he was really almost killing himself because he was growing fearless of death, an ability that would allow him to sustain less damage. This damage reduction would be instrumental when added to his fighting style. However, due to the damage of his body from this drastic and unorthodox method of training one's body; he would suffer from an evasion loss. This was to be expected given that he put his body through tremendous physical strain and brought himself to the brick of death numerous times. All in the name of progress, eh?

Poison Resistance --> Fearless:
