The early life
Jiendo grew up on the outskirts of Kumogakure in a small town. He was the son of two long since retired ninja who were lucky enough to have survived a lifetime of danger as is the ninja life. The young boy grew up expecting only one thing of himself, that one day much like his parents he too would be comes a great ninja. From the moment he was born this was expected of him and this was something he dreamt of.
This is very much how his name came to be. His parents chose to not give the young boy a last name making him harder to find in records and what not. From the get go they were preparing to turn their son into someone they hoped could one day have his name etched into the history books.
But of course how often do you see those kind of dreams come true? You see there was one very large issue with Jiendo becoming a great ninja. He had no ability what so ever to mould Chakra. It wasn't that he had none in his body, its just that his Chakra gates where so strong that they only allowed the absolute minimum out, no more than your average person needed to live.
Of course his parents didn't realize this and just pushed the youngster from the moment he could walk. They pushed him hard in training attempting to help him open out his Chakra gates and release his inner power. This did little more than make him a physical specimen rarely seen in this world. By age 9 he could already run further, lift heavier and hit harder than people in their mid 20s, He had also learned a good amount of martial arts and was decently quick with handseals. But this was very much a waste in his parents eyes as the seals produced no Jutsu and all the physical fitness in the world wouldn't save you from the raw power that came from a high level Jutsu. He may be able to smack most around with his fists but that would not help you defend from fireballs lightning or anything like that.
By the time he reached 16 Jiendo's parents no longer held any care for him. He wasn't a son they, great ninja could be proud of, he was weak in their eyes. It was a waste of time to attempt to train someone who had no ability to learn the techniques they wanted to teach. Had no ability to learn the families Jutsu and carry on the legacy. Due to this attitude his parents had towards the boy it should be obvious what they did to him. How do you get rid of useless junk in a country wiht many mountains stretching up to the clouds.
Threw him off a cliff.
A deal with the devil himself
The drive to survive. He may not have had the ability to perform any Jutsu but the training Jiendo had received had made him into a survivor. He knew his own weaknesses, he knew that he was likely never going to be a ninja. Despite that the boy had the drive to survive. The fall felt like it had gone on forever, smashing into the side of the cliff as he plummeted towards what could only be assumed was a painful death. Any attempts to grab onto the side were long since rendered useless as all his fingers and most of the bones in his arms were shattered.
Finally mercifully depending on how you look at it the Jiendo felt himself slam for what seemed to be the final time. The constant barrage of hitting the side of the cliff had slowed him just enough to live through the fall. If you could the state he was in as living. There was barely a bone in his body that wasn't broken. He was bleeding out of more places than he could count. His spine was without a doubt more dust than bone. He was dying no doubt. The only things that were still working as it stands were his mind, his mouth and as it turns out luckily his ears.
His vision was fading fast. The only thoughts running through the boys head were those of anger. His own parents betrayed him. As the darkness flooded Jiendo's vision and he felt the last of his life fading he was brought back by a peculiar sound. A young childs laughter? Why was he hearing that now. This was the bottom of a cliff, not the kind of place you would expect to head a young childs laughter. Not really anything should be done here outside of the random wild animal.
Forcing the darkness from his mind and eyes Jiendo began to make out the blury shape of a small body.
" You're all kinds of messed up hehehe"
It was a small child, a very young boy it seemed from the voice. A small kind of sadistic boy it would seem. Who laughs at seeing someone in the state he was in. Jiendo lost sight of the young kid but heard the sound of the rocks to his left shifting. The boy must have sat down next to him
"What happened to you?
Jiendo didn't know why he did what he did next. He way on the verge of death and doing anything, even thinking hurt more than most could even imagine. But he felt compelled to answer the child's question. Without even thinking Jiendo felt his lips move.
"M...y Pa..re..nt's hap....end"
The child to Jiendo's left began to laugh, but it was strange his voice sounded as if it was getting deeper and deeper. Almost as if the boy was growing up from a young age up to a full grown adult. The laughter was a sound that Jiendo would never forget. You could hear just from that laughter that this person was....Something else, far far from human. A monster.
"Interesting. I'm guessing you want revenge then. I don't honestly give two shits if you live or die but watching a son get revenge on his parents...That should be very interesting"
Jiendo didn't understand what was being said anymore, his mind was once again on the quick decent to death. He felt a pressure on his chest, this once again forced him to open his eyes. What met his sight could not be explained, It could be best described as looking right into the face of pure evil.
"What do you want? Do you want to live"
Jiendo using what little strength he had left answered. Most would assume he would beg to be saved...But as it seems when this close to death you see what someone is truly made of.
"I....Don...t...What...Goo....d...Am...I...Li...ke...This...I....Ne....ed....POWER!"
This seemed to take the being back. Most here would be begging for their lives. This young boy in front of him instead only wanted the power to get revenge. How interesting this was for the demon. This caused a long loud cackle to ring out from his lips. He wanted power? That could be arranged. This should prove to be very interesting.
In an instant Jiendo felt himself lifted off the ground by an inhumanly large hand around his neck. The pain was incredible. His eyes shot open and was assaulted by a silhouette of darkness with a glowing red hand held back in a open palm, closed fingers sword like position aimed right at his chest
CRACK.
Jiendo felt his rib cage being ripped open and a burning hot hand wrap around his heart. He attempted to scream out but the pain was too intense to allow any words to leave his lips. All he could do was convulse as the burning hand squeezed and manipulated his heart. Too soon the pain became far to great for him and Jiendo lost the fight to stay conscious. So this was how he died. Thrown off a cliff by his parents then having his heart crushed by a demon. Finally somewhat mercifully the darkness took the youngster and he felt himself falling in darkness.
Power with a cost
Jiendo was dead, his life had been stolen first by his parents then finally ended by a evil shadow. That's how most would expect this story to end. But somehow it doesn't. The young boy had felt himself falling in darkness and that was all he felt. Just constant falling with no end in sight. He wondered often if this was what death was, just endless darkness. How long he had been in this place he did not know. Hours? Days? Years? Decades? Time had all formed into one giant mass. No light the whole time.
Until all at once this changed. Deep in the distance a small flicker of light could be seen. This light started as barely a noticeable flicker in the distance and quickly grew into the brightest blinding thing you could have ever seen. Then all at once. He awoke.
The sky. That was the first thing that Jiendo noticed. He was lying on his back still on the bottom of the cliff where he had been thrown. Yet he didn't feel any pain. Reaching a hand up to his face the young boy first touched his face then his chest. He was...OK? How was that possible? He remembered the night vividly, the small child who became a shadow. Being murdered by his parents. Everything.
Had the demon saved his life? Why would it do that? None of this made any sense. But lying here wasn't going to explain anything.
Pulling himself up from the ground Jiendo began to make his was towards Kumogakure. The journey was long and difficult. Over a week he made his way from the bottom of the mountain to a small outlying village. Along the way Jiendo slept in caves for little more than a few minutes at a time and ate what he could find ranging from mountain wolves to bears. Honestly the journey alone should have killed him. With such a weak chakra system Jiendo should not have had the strength to have fought off the wovles. Sure he was strong for a regular person but a regular person can't survive those conditions.
Yet he did. Not only did he survive but the journey was for lack of a better word...Easy. Jiendo had no trouble over powering large mountain creatures that just one week prior would have been a fight for his life. He had no trouble functioning with next to no sleep.
Upon arriving in the village Jiendo found his way to the medical area of the small town to get checked out by a med-nin. Unsurprisingly to the boy the med-nin he spoke to told him that he was perfectly healthy, how someone could be thrown off a cliff and travel for over a week fighting wild animals and be perfectly fine? A ninja could sure but he had no ability to force chakra out of his body so he was the furthest thing in this world from a ninja.
Shaking his head the youngster was about to leave the tent when the med-nin stopped him.
" I notice you have no forehead protector? Did you lose yours or something?"[/color[
Jiendo just shook his head at the man.
"I'm no ninja."
The med-nin just chuckled at this.
" Sure you're not. You have one of the strongest chakra systems i've ever seen, if you're not a ninja then i'm the Raikage"
If only the man knew how much that stung. He had been thrown off a cliff and left for dead by his parents because he had no abilities as a ninja and now this moron was making light of that fact. Jiendo felt the rage building up in the pit of his stomach. Turning around he threw a punch at the table in front of him expecting to put a large dent in it. He was strong for a normal guy after all but far from a ninjas power....A small dent is what he expected to do.
Instead the table was instantly smashed into thousands of little pieces.
Then he felt it. A snap in his mind, A severe burn in his chest. A small blue symbol appeared on his upper right chest and began to glow and for lack of a better word. Vibrate. Letting out a pained yell Jiendo threw his head back as the symbol began to shoot out all over his body covering him from head to toe with glowing dark blue tattoo's. As quickly as it had begun the process stopped and the glow left the symbols. They were now a pure black.
Jiendo opened his eyes revealing no pupils, Though what was standing there now was far from the boy who had entered the room earlier. This was a monster.
Launching himself forward Jiendo grabbed hold of the poor medical ninja's face and smashed it straight into the wall before running a full lap of the room dragging the mans face along the brick as he moved tearing shreds of skin from him.
Breathing heavily Jiendo threw the medical ninja across the room smashing him through another table in the corner. He was still alive but barely. Half his face was gone and he was quickly bleeding out fast. Making his way over to the man the young boy prepared to finish the job...Until the tattoo's covering him very quickly, very suddenly began to glow blue and retreated back into the larger one on his chest. the glow faded and Jiendo dropped to his knees unable to understand what had just happened.
He was there watching, but his body was moving on its own. The youngster did the only thing he could in that situation...He ran.
Answers, But not the ones you want
No idea how long he had been running Jiendo found himself stopping on the side of the round and resting on a fence. What the hell had happened? He had just lost control instantly, but even more so...Where the hell did this power come from? He was strong sure but no where near powerful enough to smash a table into tiny pieces like he had just done. Nor did he have anywhere close to the power to beat a ninja down like he had done. Sure the guy was a med-nin but was a ninja none the less and Jiendo had beaten the poor man down like he was a weak pathetic child. Those tattoo's too. He couldn't see them but he could feel them covering his body.
"You don't disappoint, that beating was beautiful"
That small child-like voice from behind....He knew it.
Turning his head up without any urgency the young boy came face to face with a small young child. Looked to be maybe ten years old if that. Short hair, plain looking in every sense of the word. Yet there was something off at the same time. This plain looking child there was an aura for lack of a better word surrounding him. A very dark aura.
"What have you done to me?"
There was no surprise, no anger in Jiendo's words. Upon seeing the child he knew to be a demon of some sort everything had began to make sense. He had asked for power and sure as the night was dark he had been given power. This thing had made him strong enough to survive that trip, strong enough to beat a ninja within an inch of his life effortlessly, medical ninja sure so likely not the strongest fighter among ninja.....Still ninja none the less.
The small child sat down turning his head towards Jiendo.
"Just infused you with demonic power, gave you power far beyond what you could even imagine."
Jiendo shook his head, sure he was physically very powerful now, but he still wasn't going to be able to go toe to toe with a ninja who was used to battle. He had no ability to use Jutsu and without access to his chakra he was always going to fall short.
"I was already physically strong, I lacked the ability to use my Chakra. What good is your power?"
A small laugh escaped the demon.
"You think your physical strength alone would have let you do that? I tore your chakra gates apart then forced them to heal at a rapid rate. you probably have access to more chakra than most Jounin level ninja...Of course this power isn't free"
And there it was, nothing in this world was free and from what he had seen of the demons aura that statement would have held even more true.
"So what's the price"
Another laugh.
" You see that symbol on your chest. Thats the seal of my kind. We own you now, when you feel your anger grow its going to act for you. Your power will grow tenfold but its our influence that will take control of you"
Jiendo could only shake his head. So this demon basically had control over his body every time he got angry. Every time the seal on his chest would release and he would go into that berserk mode. He had nearly killed a poor innocent man. Hell for all he knew he had killed the guy. When he left the man was on the floor missing half of his face.
"And if I refuse to use your power?"
The smile on the demons face didn't even falter.
"If you think you can go through the left of your life and not get angry at all be my guest....But I know you want to see your parents again and I know its not for a social visit"
Just at the mention of his parents Jiendo felt the seal on his chest burn. Hearing of them alone began to set off the power in his body. This demon was right. He knew that he wanted to get revenge on his parents for what they did to him. He knew that he was going to seek them out...Yet this isn't what he wanted....Jiendo wanted revenge on his own, not to have something else controlling his actions.
" I will see them again, and I will get them but I will be the one to get them. I don't want some demonic influence taking that pleasure from me"
For the first time the demons smile faltered...He looked annoyed.
"You seem to assume I care. I own you boy. I Zangyaku own your life"
Now it was Jiendo's turn to laugh.
"For now that may be true...."[color]
With a sneer the demon vanished....Seems he didn't like not being able to bring Jiendo down. The boy did not care of the demons power of what had been done to him. He planned to own the curse and turn it into his own weapon.
If only the demon had known what else his little operation of Jiendo had done. It had released something that not Jiendo or Zangyaku could have ever expected..
Even in hiding the power is dangerous
Eight years. For eight years Jiendo trained. Stealing from the academies of Kumogakure he taught himself Ninjutsu and a small amount of Genjutsu. Taijutsu he taught himself. Despite now being able to use ninja techniques the now twenty four year old man still preferred to use his own fists. He did augment his strength using different techniques but in the end nothing was more powerful than the mans physical strength. He was a Taijutsu expert no doubt.
Sadly over the years his seal had been set off a few times. Once when he saw two men attacking a poor villager woman on the side of the road when he was out getting food. Both of the men were no longer among the living, in fact both of them were in multiple pieces spread out a good five hundred meters along the road. Luckily he was never outed by the villager. She had seen his face but refused to answer when asked what had happened.
Another time a man attempted to mug him on his way back to his humble abode. That man quickly found that his head and body were no longer acquaintances. The most brutal however came in the form of seeing a man beating his own son. The man was quickly thrown to the ground and in an instant his head was flatter than an pancake. Sadly the small boy rushed to the aid of his now deceased father. Bad idea when Jiendo was in the state he was in. With one swift backhand the boy was belted hard sending him a good twenty meters through the air landing him in a nearby lake. Jiendo later found out that he had shattered all of the kids ribs. He lived but he was in a fairly bad state.
Zangyaku was right this power was intense and damn near impossible to control. Worse still Jiendo had not learned any way for him to contact the demon or made any headway on learning how to get rid of the seal on his chest.
It all comes to a head
Life had become a bit of a routine. Train, steal food, Train. Seems like this was going to be his life for a very long time. Of course there is the main issue with plans....They tend to have hiccups along the way. Today was the day the hiccups enter all new territory.
Jiendo was on his way back from the small farm he had been gathering supplies from when a voice behind him caught his attention
"We saw what you did at that farm theif"
"We're not a fan of theives"
Those voices were so familiar, It couldn't be....Could it. Slowly turning around Jiendo found himself looking at two people he had not seen in the last eight years...His parents. Almost instantly the man felt the familiar burn in his chest. NO this fight belonged to him, not that stupid demon. But the power growing from him was so strong.
Forcing the seal with all his might Jiendo managed to hold it at bay. It was still trying its best to release, but for this minute. Unfortunately the focus he was using to suppress the seal not only gave his parents time to recognize him...But time to attack.
"You're alive...It disgusts me you came out of me"
While his mother was talking Jiendo's father dashed forward sending a swift punch into the stomach of the young man. That was it. His mothers taunts and his fathers attacks meant that Jiendo had no way to hold back the seal. It poured fourth from his chest covering his body in tattoos and releasing that dark, evil power from the depths of the mans soul.
With a roar Jiendo launched at his father throwing a flurry of devastating Taijutsu. The first few attacks landed and seemed to inflict a large amount of damage to his father...But very quickly the tide of battle turned. A mindless powerhouse against a fully trained Jounin was not a fair fight. True Physically Jiendo was in every way superior to his father....But in terms of strategy and just plain thought it the fight he was far far behind.
And it showed.
Almost as quickly as the battle began Jiendo, Seal and all found himself with one knee on the ground breathing heavily. He was being beaten down. NO, even with the stupid demons power he couldn't beat his old man. And now with that cocky stride and a fist raised the Jounin made his way towards his son with deadly intentions in mind.
THIS COULD NOT END LIKE THIS.
Then he felt it. It felt like an explosion in his mind, I powerful jolt, First in the left half of his brain then again in the right....But it wasn't stopping. The grenade like feeling inside went off again right in the center of his chest, then twice more slightly lower....And with that explosion Jiendo felt the evil seal retracting...Almost as if it was in fear of the surge going on through out his body.
His skin began to glow red and Jiendo could almost feel his pupils dilate and eventually turn pure white. What the hell was going on. It felt as if his Chakra was burning in a raging inferno from five points in his body. His father was taken back by the seal withdrawing and the now intense aura burning around his son. Shaking his head the Jounin launched forward attempting to end the fight with a vicious punch. But the Jiendo he had just fought was a completely different being to the one standing in front of him now.
It looked to Jiendo as if his father was moving in super slow motion. Raising one hand he deflected the deadly attack leaving the older man open. This was his chance. Clenching his hand into a fist Jiendo threw a punch as hard as he could towards his fathers chest. The punch landed......Then continued through. He had plunged his fist straight through His fathers chest.. Looking into the mans eyes he could see that he had killed his father just as his father was attempting to do to him. Not only had he done it...It was easy.
One down one to go.
Turning to his mother Jiendo shook his head at her. He had his own mind for sure but his rage was sending him right to the brink of insanity. He wanted to destroy the two monsters who had attempted to do the same to him. The two disgusting beings that had caused him to meet that infernal demon and had caused him to live with that stupid seal.
"You're next"
The woman turned and began to run...No honor at all. No chance either. To any normal eye out there it would look as if Jiendo had teleported...In reality he had just moved at speeds the normal couldn't even comprehend. Grabbing hold of the woman Jiendo pumped a small amount of Chakra into her...This was a technique he had been working on. His ninjutsu ability was low at best but he had found himself being a natural with fire Jutsu and above average with earth...By combining the two Jiendo had found himself able to create deadly explosions. The earth would hold the fire in until it would release in a deadly attack...Though what he was doing now was something entirely new.
As soon as the transfer was done he knocked his mother to the ground with a savage back hand.
"How are you doing this?"
Jiendo just shook his head as the intense aura around him died off. His eyes returned to normal and his skin tone turned back to its natural color.
"You can die wondering"
With that the jutsu Jiendo had initiated was set off. He and pushed his explosion Jutsu deep into his mothers body. It took a few seconds but soon enough the energy was set off...How does one defend themselves from an attack inside their own bodies. With a scream his mothers body ignited , light burning from her eyes as she was literally burned from the inside out before an explosion destroyed the area around where she had just been standing.
They never stood a chance.
Letting out a long breath Jiendo looked at his work...He had done that. Those explosions in his mind had not only released more power than he ever knew he had but had forced his seal to supress....And that was something that a certain demon would likely not be happy about....
Which is why after all these years Zangyaku decided to rear his ugly head.
The last great battle...The 8th Gate. The Seal
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS"
Jiendo could only laugh when he heard that familiar voice. Turning around he came face to face with that shadowy figure he had seen all those years ago. Zangyaku wasn't in the child like appearance the young man had seen he demon all those times in the past. Seems this time the demon was all business, no childish laughter this time around.
"You tell me"
This only enraged the demon more. The shadowy figure dove forward grabbing Jiendo around the neck
"You suppressed the power of the seal...HOW?"
With this Jiendo could only smile. The second it had happened he had understood what had happened...The demon had done this two him too but likely not on purpose.
"You did it The seal of yours has lost its ability to active on its own, it fears the power in my body. No longer will I be a berserker. By tearing open my chakra gates you unknowingly gave me the ability to force them right open through sheer will power.....LIKE THIS"
Jiendo once again felt that explosion in his mind. Two in the head caused his skin to began to turn that red color. By the time it hit the third spot in his spine the demon had lost his grip as Jiendo's eyes began to turn pure white and that deadly aura surrounded his body. But he was not done yet. Forcing himself even further Jiendo forced his sixth and seventh gates open. The aura around his body intensified. The sheer power of his aura was starting to reek havoc on the area around..
And a usually cocky demon looked fearful.
Jiendo wasn't foolish. He knew the power of the being in front of him....Which is why 7 wasn't enough. There were eight Chakra gates...and he was releasing them all...With a loud scream Jiendo released his final gate...The burning green aura turned to a bright red. The blood in his body had began to stream out through his pours and it looked as if a bright red aura surrounded him.
To anyone watching the fight would have looked as if it was over instantly. In reality in those few seconds the demon and the man had fought on a level few would ever understand. The demon was furious that his little toy had been taken from him. That this human had gotten the upper hand. Jiendo only wanted to beat the demon down enough to have him remove his control over the seal. Give Jiendo control over that dark power.
Punch after punch kick after kick, blast after blast. The two threw seemingly endless attacks at each other. But it would be the demons rage which was its downfall. He was so mad that he didn't notice the young man form a few handseals...Something he wasn't known for doing. He didn't notice five little purple flames appear on the mans hand....And he didn't notice until it was far too late that he was too close to dodge the attack.
FIVE ELEMENT SEAL
Instantly Zangyaku felt his power vanish. Dropping to his knees the demon turned back into his child like form. He was defeated.
"Impossible......Kill me human."
Seemed like a good idea....But a waste none the less. Jiendo had much better ideas.
"No...You're going to do two things for me.. Remove the control this seal his over me....Then you will form a contract with me."
Looking up at the boy with rage in his eyes the demon spat on the ground.
"And why would I do that"
Jiendo just smirked at this.
" Because only I can remove that seal....And I'm sure your curious to see where this power will lead me"
The rage in the demons face slowly began to vanish...Jiendo was right, he was still curious.
"Interesting. I will admit a human who can fight me on these terms interests me.....I agree, Myself and my subordinates will contract with you....The seal is already under your control. Your power has destroyed our infulence"
With a click of his fingers the seal binding the demon vanished. Shockingly true to his word Zangyaku placed his palms together and opened them producing a piece of paper.
"Sign this in blood and our contract is compete...Jiendo"
Called by his name by the demon...It was a mild sign of respect. Biting down on his thumb Jiendo scribbled a signature on the parchment....With that it was done. Zangyaku slammed his hands together and the parchment was gone.
"What now? your parents are dead"
Jiendo shrugged.
"I'm at the limit of what I can learn through stealing from the academy....Maybe I should go join the ninja in Kumogakure"
With a nod Zangyaku vanished...Jiendo was once again alone...but he knew exactly where he was going now...No more hiding.
The quick rise, the frustration sets in
It Took Jiendo less than a week to be promoted to Genin from his acceptance into the academy. Then it was another two before he was promoted to Chuunin, not overly surprising really. He knew in his heart he had the power to rival the Kage if he so wished, so The rank next to his name was not a huge issue to him. He didn't need any fancy equipment to get to the next level. No the things that were annoying him were both the missions he was being sent on, the times he was being sent and the amazingly low amount of money he was getting payed to do so. Jiendo was a man who could be out doing the biggest baddest missions anyone could fine. But because of his rank he could only do lower ranked missions while people with far less strength than him were out doing harder more fun missions getting the big bucks.
Jiendo knew he would destroy the Jounin exam but that would still limit the work he could get. There were some missions that only Jounin of a few years could do, these were more like the missions a man of his power would have to do.
"I'm starting to wonder why I follow you Jiendo, I was expecting a far more interesting life for you"
Ahh Zangyaku, what did the demon want now.
"This ninja life here doesn't suit me. Though if I run that's just a hassle really isn't it
The demons small form nodded.
"I'm not stupid enough to suggest you run from this village, but do something, you're wasting away here....And its only been two months now.
Jiendo nodded to the demon.
"I guess its time for me to do something about it. Maybe ill become a travelling mercenar. Good money in that"
Another nod and the demon was gone....It was time to get out there and become someone.
