The two siblings Miko and Kai had received a summons for a mission the previous day. It told them to meet up with their other teammate Kurosawa Setsu at the gates early morning tomorrow. Miko wondered what their other teammate would be like, Kai wondered how him being in a team for one of the first times would go. Kai waited for Miko before heading out of their place to head to their meetup. When they got to the gates they saw a green-haired boy in green clothing that looked not much older than them. "Hello Kurosawa-kun, I'm Shizu Kai, Elementalist and Genin of Kumogakure! I'm his sister Miko, also Genin of this village. It's nice to be working on a team with you!" The green-haired boy looked up at his teammates as they approached and greeted him. "So what does this mission entail? We do know the mission's destination is Port Cirrus." After greeting them back, he nodded to Kai about the mission destination. "Hello, and I am Setsu, Kurosawa Setsu, Chuunin of the very same. Yes, we will soon be meeting up with a wealthy merchant's envoy of carts with ordered food goods, then we'll be escorting and protecting it from theft to Port Cirrus and back. Any questions before we head out?" Setsu said, briefing them and taking questions. Both shook their heads and then the three headed out.
Just past the gates there was a merchant's outpost on the outskirts of the village. The three headed around the side of the outpost to the exit gate, where the merchants were waiting for them by their envoy of carts. Kai would let Setsu do the talking, he was pretty much the mission leader here. "Hello merchant-sans" Some of the envoy's merchants looked at the three kids, and soon the lead merchant went to speak to them. "You must be the ones sent to protect us on our route today, I assume?" "Indeed, I am Kurosawa Setsu, and this is Shizu Kai and Miko" "Aren't you a little young to protect us from bandits and the like?" "Setsu-kun here is an actual Chuunin, and us two Genin are nearing B-Rank. With that, I can assure you that we are ready." ..and you have me, Kai dude! Yes, not to mention Supiritto, an elemental nature spirit able to use all elemental attacks of some kind, by switching elements from one to another if it needs to. Though the lead merchant was still unsure about the kids' ability to protect them, he gave the merchants the okay to start moving the envoy. Meanwhile, Advanced State Supiritto hadn't said much until now. Kaze would want to grumble about being stuck with Tsuchi in dirty outdoors, while Tuschi would love being out here. It really is nice out here though, really Kai dude, as long as I do not touch the ground. Also Tsuchi had managed to switch himself to the majority. Split down the middle, Supiritto now had three-fifths of it brown aura, and the rest of it green aura. Once the envoy was moving, they began their escort with Setsu at the front, his clone the back, Miko the right and Kai the left. Right on, we're finally moving dude, and I already miss home!
Half of the way to Port Cirrus was rather uneventful. Suddenly some average-looking bandits jumped down from the treetops above and stood on the carts' front edges. One other attacked the Setsu at the back. That guy was in for a shocking discovery when he was electrocuted by a lightning clone, and was down before he even started. Lightning clone.. nice! They would have to dispose of them quickly before they do anything to the goods. Luckily Advanced State Supiritto took Miko's side and Kai and him could combo attack, though since Supiritto was in the Advanced State and split down the middle with major Earth and minor Wind, he'd have to use Sand elemental attacks of some kind. Tsuchi would give Kaze the Earth element amount it needed to shoot one bandit off against a tree with Cluster Attack and then use the remaining sand to bind him to the tree in a Sand Coffin. As the bandits began taking lids off a carts, Kai was there on top to Water Gun one off while angled to avoid wetting the food goods. Advanced State Suppiritto would Cluster Attack shoot him against the tree as well, and proceed to bind him next to the other guy. and a bind for you dude, and a bind for you! "...and a bind for this guy!" Kai and the Advanced State Supiritto looked over to Miko as she had just emerged from binding the last guy in the Inner Earth Reflection Lure. "That will surely hold them while we continue to our destination." The lead merchant checked the goods before continuing. "They're safe, let's carry on then!"
It was uneventful again until they made it to a warehouse in Port Cirrus. While the Setsu was helping the merchants with the handling and unpacking stuff, the two siblings and the Advanced State Supiritto had some free time to explore other parts of the warehouse. While they were, something began to attack them from the shadows. "It's here, the phantom..." It was the phantom that they heard had been sighted earlier. Kai began defending himself with Impaling Hydro Jet jutsu and trying to distract the phantom. Miko was using her Tsuchimikado abilities to see the phantom and wherever it was moving. She was the only one with the advantage of seeing it other than the ghostly Supiritto. The Advanced State Supiritto meanwhile was having Sand on Shadow combat with the phantom. "We can do this Kai-oniisan." In a moment where the phantom was distracted, Miko was able to contact a special tag with the phantom, and soon the Kaneton Tag: Iron Coffin jutsu surrounded the phantom. The phantom attacked the coffin with its Shadow elemental attacks, then the Iron Coffin regenerated a little bit from the damage. Miko placed special sealing tags on it and began using Tsuihouton Tag: Exorcism jutsu. The jutsu began to weaken the phantom in preparation to banish it, but Miko was using it to contain and calm it down. she released the Tsuihouton Tag just before the banishing was complete. "It doesn't have to end like this, I won't let it end like this." She released the Kaneton Tag and the iron coffin itself could be opened. She ghost whispered to the phantom in a calm, soft voice. The phantom was now weakened and calm, and more likely to listen to Miko. She listened to the phantom's tales of vengeance, and follwed it to find out what really happened, and what she could do to help it pass on. "Woah..." Kai muttered to himself, in awe just seeing Miko in action.
Later when it was time to head out, Miko rejoined Kai just before they would meet with the merchants. Kai went to hug her. "That was cool, you were amazing back there!" Miko thanked Kai for what he said. "So what happened afterward, anything cool?" Miko told him about her finding out the real story behind what made the spirit so veangeful, and how she granted what it wanted so it could pass on. Just soon after, the merchants, their envoy of carts, and the three all met up and they left Port Cirrus. The three finished the escort back to the merchant's outpost on the outskirts of Kumogakure. Soon they were back there in no time. They left the merchants and soon they were past the gates, then the three went to go report the mission's completion.
