Most ninja - at least, as far as Shinomiya was aware - preferred to do their training out in the open, where there was not only more room to maneuver but usually specialised equipment for practicing with. Taijutsu, at least, required tools to work out with, or space to run in, if one wasn't just practicing forms or the like; not that Shinomiya really knew all, or even any, of the details that went into mastering the physical shinobi arts. Genjutsu was difficult for other reasons, although they were ones Shinomiya was more familiar with. Namely, while it was very possible to get better through focusing on one's use of chakra alone, it was rather difficult to train to a high level without having a target to practice on.
However, while she was well-versed in Genjutsu and moderately practiced in some types of Taijutsu, fortunately for Shinomiya she was specialised in Ninjutsu. So as such, rather than bothering to leave the house, she was just holed up in her room. After all, leaving the house meant having to deal with people, and/or sunlight, and also it was just purposeless. Granted, the more intense techniques would be very poor ideas to perform in such an enclosed space, much less one filled with all her personal belongings... but, all she had to do was master a jutsu in terms of its technique and procedure without putting dangerous levels of chakra into performing it, and then to get results in practice all she had to do was put her back into it, so to speak. Or at least, that was possible for her, with the way her mind worked and with her level of chakra control. The young girl contently spent most of her day seated in the middle of her room, working through her hand seals rapidly in attempt to push how quickly she could perform them to a higher level, stopping every few minutes to fire off technically-complex but weakened beams of light at a rock golem training dummy she'd constructed.
Part of her couldn't help but wonder if this was all. It wasn't as if she had a true, earnest desire to perfect all jutsu or anything like that... but, since she'd started learning the shinobi arts, she saw no reason not to keep learning until there was nothing left to learn. While she didn't master new jutsu instantly or anything close to that, though, it all felt kind of simple at the end of the day. Shinomiya didn't truly crave more deeply advanced techniques, but she felt like it would be disappointing if there wasn't something out there that could earnestly strain her limits. There had to be, right?
