Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The turtle-beast was the first to attract the beast’s attention once more, but that was reasonable. It ventured a glance as the rubble behind it shifted once more and Daimao Kuppa appeared. While the large beast was rocked slightly by the miniature hurricane, the two smaller beasts attempted to leap out of the way. One was captured in a sphere of water, though only for a moment with Daimao not actually in physical contact with it to maintain it. The little beast was dropped back to the ground, and promptly stood and shook itself back off. Only to comically have more water pushed into its face. It gave another little shriek, accompanied a moment later by it’s other not-huge sibling.

When Ryu roared, the beast paid attention. It didn’t understand the actual “words” that the chakra beast had spoken, but… well. A roar was a roar. A challenge was a challenge. A moment later, it reared once more and let out another deafening roar, this time from both maws. Once more, the beast dropped to all fours after the dual, resonating roar, which might still be causing some ears to ring, this time rather than the rippling earthquake, causing several thick spires of rock to explode from the ground. While it had seen the saurian shadow, it had survived among its siblings by not backing down. It would do no such thing now for the shadow of a beast created by a small human…

The bubbling volcanic armor once more gave the beast pause, and it actually took a slight step back. That wasn’t something it was certain how to deal with… then roared in actual pain when the magma exploded under it, shifting to the side to put the gate wall to one of it’s side, protecting that flank fairly effectively while keeping oriented towards Ryu and the rest. It stood to reason, of course, that the beast would swipe at the mass of obsidian when the chance arose, which only served to sear the beast’s huge hand.

Up until now, the little beasts had been attempting to skulk about and find a way to slink into the village beyond where the shinobi concentrating on their larger sibling would notice. Until Ren nearly wandered directly into one, and threw sharks of water at the smaller beast. It tilted its head to the side slightly, again shaking off the water and then giving another screeching roar, and giving chase to the girl.

And then the beasts were lifted into the air, rather suddenly, by the strength of the Kami summon, the little that had been going after Ren no longer able to move, and the large beast thrashing in the air, causing further destruction to the wall that had once protected Maruishi. Pained roars rang out through the area, though none of them infused with the destructive power that the beast seemed to be capable of.

There seemed to be, honestly, nothing for the beasts to do at this juncture as they floated in the air, suspended by Tennin's power.

Re: [EVENT|The Nevtok] The Forerunners

Sometimes death comes knocking. Sometimes it tears down the walls.

When things settled down, Umashi was going to have to really hand it to Hissori. The guy knew how to be handy even when he wasn’t trying to be. Having lifted the creatures up into the air and defied gravity, his target of the largest dino simply rushed up to meet him. Concentrating that ever cooling sensation of healing chakra into his legs, he landed with what he thought was a crack but the obviously broken leg that he suffered painfully righted itself. As good as medical chakra could be in healing wounds, it still was uncomfortable when it came to truly reverse a good beating.

Turning his blood weapon into a pike, he stood up after landing and sniffed out the bleeding wound that he sensed earlier. The creatures back was alien terrain and he sure as heck didn’t want to overly alert the thing to his presence. Closing his eyes, he focused on the sensation of the creature beneath him, a task made even harder by the fact that the thing was suspended on nothing and being attacked from below. Steady, steady, steady, the picked up scent from the wind and his tongue flicked out just enough to relish that salty taste. He could feel this things heartbeat and like any other heartbeat though this one was clearly something unlike he’d ever seen; it all came full circle.

Wincing through the pain of freshly healed limbs, he ran as if on a tightrope and came to the side where he should have found the wound but just so happened to stumble upon another problem. With the fiend floating in the air, reaching the wound would require just as much gravity defying tactics, applying chakra to his feet, he once again prayed that he’d not get caught up under this thing once it feel. Hearing the familiar sound of Daimao Kuppa applying another round of pain against the three creatures, Umashi focused on the area where the wound was and infusing chakra into his hand, kneeled down and scribed the seal as close as he could to the spot. Structural integrity would hopefully be on his side as he tried to hold the combustive seal just long enough to blow a chunk out of this thing but at this particular moment he was standing parallel to the ground which was a completely disorienting sensation in and of itself.

Clicking on his headset he smiled.
“X marks the spot folks.” Trying to really stick it to the creature, Umashi jabbed his blood chakra weapon as deep as he could into exposed creature’s weak spot and then he ran, pumping chakra both into his feet and his hands, the creature was sure to notice him now more than ever and with the trashing and gnashing to ensue, Umashi was about to do as much damage as he possibly could in as short amount of time as he had. Making it back to the creatures back, a sphere of chakra materialized before him and he reached out and grabbed it. Adding more chakra to it, he expanded it and tossed it behind him. Grabbing on to the nearest spike, he focused on his creation and caused it to curve just enough to pelt that soon to be ever tender spot. If he was going down, he certainly wasn’t going to go down without a fight.

OOC: Kept it short this week due to 4th of July stuff. To the Stone Prophet, can we turn Akechi Shin into a generic Uchiha NPC with his relative build? His Kirin ought to be striking right about now and him completely disappearing would be rather detrimental to things at this time.

Actions:
-Skeletal Fortification Mastered on my legs.

-Daimao Kuppa uses Shell on the two smallest creatures. (x2)

-Umashi uses combustive seal and searing eruption on the creature’s weak spot. Both mastered.

-Umashi alerts everyone to his ever visually growing (it’s a bright red) combustive seal.

- Umashi stabs his blood weapon into the creature’s weak spot.

- Umashi uses Perfected Odama Rasengan NE (+5% dmg x 2)on the creature’s weak spot.

- Umashi holds on for dear life!

Status Notes:
-Chigokai x NE Jinchuriki

-Lunar Seal R3 Activated

-Self Inflicted Bleed Rank 1

-Symbiotic relationship w/ S rank summon last round

Re: [EVENT|The Nevtok] The Forerunners

Sara rushed up the stairs thinking along the way of what she should do. Should she return to the battle, and just try to do her best to help everyone, or live to fight another day. If they defeated the monsters, it would be a glorious thing, but chances are, if their was a few, there were more to come. And if they lost against it, she would be unable to take care of it herself. Her thoughts kept going back and forth, remembering the other beasty which had hopped the fence before the larger one came in. One way or another, there was going to be ore fighting later on most certainly, for now the best she could do was try and help whom she could.

Finally she reached the roof, looking around for what was crying on the roof that brought her up here. She didn't see a soul and than called out, "Um..Hello, is anyone up here? I am here to help!" She looked around again, half expecting for someone to just pop out onto the empty roof from no where. Something was rubbing against her leg and she cooked down as she heard what was crying. Her face con-vexed into a look of sarcastic distraught, "Really..A damned cat?" She looked around again, half expecting a different out come than turned towards the battle in the distance. She could still see the monster shadowing the buildings below it. She tried to concentrate chakra into her eyes, half expecting that this action would allow her to see the battle clearer. The cat at her feet rubbed against her legs, walking back and forth between them mewing as if wanting an response from Sara. She concentrated more, placing more chakra into her eyes. And for a split second, she felt as if she could make out everything that was happening on the battlefield. The remainder of the second her eyes started to burn, as if something was searing the back of her eye balls and she blinked, wincing from the pain. For a moment, she was sure she could see something, but the pain had her keeping her eyes closed, focusing more on that.

She rubbed her eyes and faced down towards the cat the looked up at her and mooed. She blinked hard and stared at it for a moment than breathed out deeply, with a sigh and spoke, "Well,..whom am I to turn down something in need of help." After all, it was someones pet, it felt half wrong to just leave it up there and escape on her own, she thought trying to convince herself of the grand need. She grabbed the cat and headed back to the doorway and down the stairs to the bottom floor. The echos of the battle zone could be heard even this far away with ease. As she made it to the bottom floor the cat stirred, digging it's claws into her arm. She dropped the white and black cow like patterned cat on the ground and it ran for the exit, and vanished. She rubbed her arm and muttered, "Piece of sh.."

Actions: Wasn't sure so turn 2 of escape.

Re: [EVENT|The Nevtok] The Forerunners

All the loud noise was starting to give Hissori a headache. This stupid brute of a dinosaur was yelling more and more and it was driving him insane. He wouldn’t even begin to craft new handsigns again as he tried to think of a new attack when the battle field began to change again.

Overhead, the sky turned a deep shade of gold, as it seemed like Tenin was working again. White rain drops would begin to fall cooling the fighting shinobi before it was followed up with three more large gleaming lights began to shot down on the three monsters.

Lord Tennin is truly an angel. The medical shinobi thought as he focused on the hovering and flailing animals. Moving quickly, the man wanted to capitalize on the fact that currently the advantage he had created. In his hand, a ball of pure chakra was being created and in an instant he pushed that right into the first little beast. Then, jumping in front of the escaping Sara, Hissori would prepare his next strike. As if a pack of clones was appearing around him, Hissori took a breath.

Then in a blink their all moved position and changed around the second beast. The man in the shorts, fangs and claws had grown a bit, and adorning them now was most likely blood of the beast as Hissori seemed to flicker in his place as he drew a breath. Finally, after ten long years he had attacked and that didn’t seem that hard.

Buru was the last one to act. Moving off of Umashi’s attacks he quickly charged at the floating beast, before again trying to mark the eyes of the beast to blind him. The acrobatic wolfdog would spin in the air, unleashing what he had before landing and skidding a bit as he regained his footing.

Actions:
Tenin:
Levitate (Mastered) Passive Targeting all of the beasts.
White Devastation (Mastered) Targeting all of the beats

Just another day loitering with Natsumi in the Tenements a battle unlike anything he’d ever imagine. A mighty blast erupted with enough strength to alert the masses. When ninja gathered at the fray with fire waiting, the will of stone strengthened a resolve to chase the impending disaster. And when their leader appeared, every willing body flocked to Titan’s Keep. The Tsuchikage and the village's greatest heroes surfaced with haste. Jomei could see hear the crack of thunder as a storm brewed, and the sky turned golden from works of rare spells. Wiser men have turned and ran, or so Jomei thought as he shot web after web; delivering himself closer to ground zero. The village’s only port and entrance was under attack by nature itself; dragons right out of folklore. The damage dealt by the monster to Titan’s Keep became a blurred haze of destruction as Jomei skipped across the village, and arrived on the scene.

Jomei used his talents to cross the village in personal record time, with Natsumi doing her best to follow suite. Legends were in the making today, and the Hidden Stone’s greatest shinobi had their hands full in a battle to prolong certain defeat. Using his camera like a telescope, Jomei zoomed into scales thicker than ballistic steel plating; a dragon was imprisoned and levitating over the earth. The mere human he was, Jomei felt a jolt of fear pass through from head to toe. Every click of his shutter told more of the story he witnessed, but he couldn’t have been farther from understanding it at all. This pause to snap pictures was nothing but an effort to await the arrival of his friend Sumi, who chose more traditional travel methods to join him in the call to arms.

A shadow was cast over the dusty remains of Titan’s Keep. Many of the buildings and features lining the entrance of the village were heavily damaged if not decimated. A few villagers gathered to bear witness with the same nerves of stone that kept them from fleeing. The very face of the village felt relief, like a boxer who took too many punches when the bell rang. The oppressing behemoth was freed from Newton’s law, and such a sight left the masses speechless, far and wide. The village’s upper-crust also speculated from the protection of their ivory towers on high; hypnotized by visions of their ninja greatest ninja failing. It wouldn’t take the haze-gray menace long to scale the heights of Maruishi, and devour the human morsels awaiting him. All hope seemed lost- even the war cry of their leader fell silent as a efforts to sunder the first Basilisk found a pause. The battlefield nearly froze in time as the many ninja had become few, and the great monster itself lost it’s vigor. The scene seemed eerily peaceful until the basilisk lifted it’s head and unleashed another threatening outcry. The sound echoed through the coast with such force, it reached across the land of earth.

This was called the death cry: the sudden reaction to a swell of chakra taking shape and colliding into him. The heavens parted so a ninja clad in red could arise to the occasion and unveiled a jutsu magnificent enough to resemble a second sun setting over the horizon. All of these ninja were insignificant to the basilisk who claimed their land for his mother; all but that speck of red. Umashiashikabihikoji was his name; quite a mouthful, I know. And as if that weren’t enough… how does that saying go? Greatness recognizes, what… Greatness. The mass of chakra that dozed into the center of the heavenly beast was great enough to counter-balance the storm brewing in the stratosphere, and attracted the legendary Kirin gathering behind the rolling thunderclouds. The second jutsu flocked down atop the first, and the combination techniques filled the sky with blinding light strong enough to hammer the entire behemoth back down onto Titan’s Keep. Upon impact, a split rippled across the artificial sky of Arcadia underground, and two more buildings crumbled. The collision also resulted in a shock-wave delivering a blanket of dust across the village, leaving the masses in darkness before nightfall.

After the fall, it seemed as if the creature had it’s fill of the meddling humans who defied it’s interess. The basilisk had not budged since making it’s last imprint along the face of Titan’s Keep. Many of the properties of the area were completely erased by the monster, and now it’s corpse smothered their remains. The scent of smoldering flesh was rancid to some, inviting to others, but noticed by all as the first sign of a job well done. As the dust cleared, the basilisk was revealed as quite a macabre sight. It was half-there, and you can fill in the rest of the gruesome details with your imagination.

As the first witnesses drew close to confirm the monster’s death, it’s beating heart was revealed, cradled in bone yet exposed by acts of violence. Faint beats were generating a pool of blood around the open wound as it continued to simmer like meat over the fire. Ninja and mere villagers began to gather in the wake of the fall. The fell into a crowd silently, as if too much noise would awaken it again. A single dead eye was left wide open and staring at the town’s people as they assembled around it. This was the face of the creature who erased their home and culture, and now the time for contemplation had come. Angry voices began to break the silence, followed hysteria and the people who discovered their lives had been destroyed by the attack. Suddenly, the hidden stone was stricken with turmoil and a society pushed to the brink by an unnatural disaster. It took nothing but moments for the fear to absolve and become rage, and the devastated villagers gathered into a mob demanding protection… but by who? In the wake of the attack, villagers seemed to pop out of every nook and cranny in healthy numbers, yet the dead ninja they carried were just as plentiful.

As they mobbing villagers gathered in number, the masses revealed one of the smaller creatures- the ones seen skulking about below the big dead guy. The mob of villagers were in a swarm over the defeated creature, and it contested them, but to no avail. They had it pinned and overpowered, yet couldn’t penetrate the hide with their backhoes, rakes and pitch-forks. The people were becoming savage, and beat the creature to death with all of their sorrow mounting. Someone needed to restore order in the crowd, and with haste. They were blinded by the pain and reacting normally for victims of tragedy, yet this was no way to prepare for the next attack. The gates of Titan's Keep was all be standing, and a smashed seaport was the only thing standing between another colossal creature and the meaty morsels hidden deep within the village.

Re: [EVENT|The Nevtok] The Forerunners

Ren hadn't even gotten but a few feet away before the beast finally fell and the mob mounted. The brutality of their frenzy made her tense and she balled her hands up in her hair for a moment, pulling at it as her worry grew before she burst.

"EVERYONE SHUT UP FOR ONE DAMNED MOMENT AND THINK INSTEAD OF ACT!" She screamed, stomping a foot childishly in anger.

When it seemed clear that no one was going to listen to her, or even could hear her amoung the other yelling and screams that the mob was creating she let out a soft growl of frustration and started to storm her way through the mob, shoving and elbowing as she went she grabbed the dead beast by the head and hold it up as she screamed to the crowd around her.

"DOES THIS LOOK LIKE IT"S GOING TO FIX THE WALL OR ANY OF THE ISSUES WE HAVE RIGHT NOW?? DOES IT?? DOES IT FIX ANYTHING RIGHT NOW TO BEAT SOMETHING THAT IS ALREADY DEAD???" She dropped the head and pointed at the mob with a snarl in her voice.

"What we need to do right now is band together and make plans. And if any of you have a sensible bone in your bodies you'll turn to the Kage and his advisers instead of taking matters into your own hands and making this situation any worse than it already is!" She huffed and made her way over to her cousin to stand beside him.

She was jittery and shaking with both worry and rage and adrenaline from the fight that seemed to have ended too abruptly for her to take stock of her emotions and well being. For the time being she was going to follow her own advice, and look to her cousin for guidance right now. She wasn't going to race off home in search for her parents, she was going to stay right here. And do as she was told for once.

Re: [EVENT|The Nevtok] The Forerunners

Hissori panted heavily as his strikes connected with the little beats. Surprisingly, Hissori’s attacks surprised even him as it seemed to destroy one of the little beast as he absolutely shredded the beast into a former figure of itself. The other beast was dispatched as well, but this time not as badly. It seemed to run to cower to his dead parent. If Hissori had not just watched these beast just try to do battle with the village the wolf man probably would have felt a bit sympathetic for it, now though he was having none of it. However, he was not as blood crazed as the rest of the village.

With his green eyes that had been turned golden by the amount of chakra that pulsed out of his body Hissori watched as the little beast was pulled out from under the dead creature. The yelling and shouting was hurting the man who felt like he would have permanent ringing in his ears. Hissori grimaced but did not complain about it. Instead Hissori started to get nervous. Instead of wanting the beast dead, Hissori saw an opportunity. He would hope to silence the child who he had just protected him as he went to get control of the situation.

“Everyone stop!” Hissori barked out as he looked at the citizens who were obviously not helping the situation as they boarder on become a riotous mob. Hissori would begin to channel the last of his chakra towards his throat as it would help project his voice.

“As of right now, we need to declare a state of emergency. More importantly for the citizens here who can, we need to set up a trauma unit ASAP. For the young men, and able body people, start removing the rubble and searching for people, people who are trapped in it can certainly still be found alive without major injuries. For the women, children, and other people who cannot help move the rumble, we need pillows blankets and water.

For the Shinobi here, we need to respond to this now. I need a group of shinobi who will be able to track the steps of these beast back to wherever they come from. Do not take risks, we cannot afford to lose the information you will gather!”
Hissori said as he looked towards the more senior shinobi of stone on who will step up.

The strawberry blonde man would push his way through the mob as he startd to weave handsigns to seal the creature. Once he was done, the man would push the palm of his hand down on the back of beast making it defenseless and making it safe to move.

“I also need a group of shinobi to bring this thing back to the mines and secure an area for us to study this beast.” Hissori said as he turned to look around. He hadn’t even realized that the Tsuchikage was here, instead he had just started thinking through the orders.

He’d press his headset to rely order as he looked down at Buru who had found his way back to the side of Hissori. He was whimpering and holding up one of his front paws, a bit of blood on his shoulder.

“You’ll be fine stop being a baby.”He said to his dog as he looked to see if anyone had taken up his orders.

Re: [EVENT|The Nevtok] The Forerunners

The thunderous roar from the sky made the young girl look up, causing her to have a shiver run down her spine. A moment later, a giant bolt of lightning, larger than anything she had ever seen arced out of the sky, seeming alive and taking shape, before it slammed into the ground in a glorious blinding light. Sara shaded her eyes after the moment, then rubbed them trying to relieve them of the slight pain. She again looked up as the clouds above started to slowly part. That bolt, she thought, was certainly no ordinary lightning bolt from a storm. She was sure it came from one of the people fighting the monsters, and started giving thought that it was most likely that guy who told her to release fire into the sky. His attack was glorious as it was terrifying. She heard the cries of the beast twice, than silence. Something in the back of her mind urged her to go forth, an expectation that those cries of pain ceasing meant one thing. But another, a thought of lacking such belief told her not to. She thought about it for a moment, than gave in, heading back to the main road.

She could now hear the roar of people ahead, beyond the rubble far ahead of the beast. The electricity in the air still from that attack could be felt, seeing smoke rise from where it hit. It obliterated everything around the beast, as she started to climb up some rubble to get a look over it. Near by, a building crumbled as she reached the top to look at the meaty remains laying about. The people of Iwagakure in a frenzy surrounding the remains of that which laid waste to so much. The people angry, clawing at what was left, smearing the beasts blood on them as if it were a ritual. She didn't want to go on from that point. At least, that was until she heard a voice call for attention. She tried to see whom it was but unable, so she ventured closer. She heard the man call out for assistance for helping anyone whom was injured. She continued forward, pushing through the crowd as he continued to speak, barking out orders.

Every person she passed, crying or bleeding. She had seen such before, but this felt different for some reason to her. Much more real, much closer. She continued pushing until she got closer to where the man speaking was, and where the others would gather before going out to search or take the creature away, trying to figure out whom was injured that was going to do as he asked, perhaps healing them before they took action. She pulled out her medical, well, her equipment that she used to heal people, out of her pocket. It was a trusty box of home enhanced bandages. She raised her voice, though it seemed silenced compared to the crowd beyond the small gathering location. "Anyone that is. Anyone going to search for people.. Um,..If you need medical attention please." She tried to speak louder, "Please come to me for treatment." Her voice would only be heard by a few, though that was probably for the best.

Re: [EVENT|The Nevtok] The Forerunners

The ol’ healin’ factor ain’t what it used to be . . .

As he lay there, Umashi just stared up into the sky and made a mental full body examination. All of his toes were there, fingers, hands, feet. Nothing seemed bruised or broken overly much so there was some relief there. Daring to shake his head, he attempted to right himself and groaned as he used one of the creature’s spikes as a crutch. Fortunately he’d managed to turn off the curse seal subconsciously before he seemingly blacked out.

It was most definitely the fault of the fall for all the commotion that he now heard. Whereas he’d been floating before, now he was most surely at ground level. The dust and debris as well as the complete lack of living creature proved that they’d won somehow. What a relief! Or so he was under the impression. Shoot, Hissori had better give him a golden scalpel after all of this. Wait, was that even the norm now? Umashi had been serving amongst the ranks of shinobi for a very, very long time and the practice had fallen out of favor.

No doubt it was probably around the time that shinobi stopped going to shops to rank up and armor shops bankrupted. How the times were a changing. Still, no matter what the times claimed, Umashi wanted that promotion. If he was going to be a refugee Kage, he’d better be a notable refugee Kage. His headset crackling, he heard Hissori’s voice over what could only be described as a mob in motion and he face palmed. Or at least he attempted to. His hand moved a little too slow on the get up. Civilians never learned.

Sighing and shaking away the willies, he climbed his way off the creature and made his way towards the Sennin. If there was a job to be done, he sure as heck wasn’t about to let these people turn a bad situation worse.
“Where can I be of the best use?” In the back of his mind he wondered where Daimao Kuppa was. True enough he shouldn’t be building sized anymore but still, he ought not to be small to the point where there was an issue keeping up with him. As soon as Hissori gave the order, finding that bull of a turtle would be next on his list.

The sirens finally came to a halt as the creature who attacked the village was declared dead. Ninja looking on the horizon from every watch tower saw no sign of other approaching threats. And the beating heart of the hidden stone could finally thump again. Life resumed, and the village still thrived in the wake of the attack. The silence that followed the falling beast came to an end as life resumed on the devastated streets. Surviving ninja returned to their duties, seeking out their fellow villagers. Their goals civil service, aiding those in need. To rescuing the victims trapped in buildings that caved in from the Basilisk’s assault. Healing the wounded. Despite the creatures and their devastation, the hidden stone remained resilient through the attack. The combined efforts of the ninja had saved the village from total annihilation, and it would live on.
Somehow they would have to figure out how to carry on, and with haste. Without a doubt, the senior ninja could expect an emergency council summons by dawn. And the villagers could only hope that their leader would surface from the rubble that spanned Titan's Keep. In the mean time, transmissions began to come through as static on the village-wide channel. A transmission from the spire offered scattered instructions. All ninja were to report to the mission office or their team leaders to receive their next tasks.
In their quick response to the demands of a village in shock, the stone ninja were managing to restore order. Though their livelihood seemed meager, the remains of the stone were rolling on. In the shadow of near-defeat the hidden stone was almost destroyed, and an age development was forced upon the civilization. The young ninja who remained would have to adapt and overcome, or watch their civilization crumble to dust.

[spoilername="Information"]Congratulations on defeating the first foe of the Rise of Beasts Story Arc. As of now, the whereabouts of the other basilisks remain at large, but chances of another attack occurring soon seem unlikely. It is likely that a reconnaissance mission will be announced soon in efforts to track down the remaining Basilisks before another attack can occur, but efforts to rebuild the village and it's defenses are priority. All able-bodied ninja are expected to a major assembly for head-count and reassignment. In the mean-time, top medical ninja have the responsibility of learning the biology and weaknesses of this creature, which may be the key to preparing proper defenses for the next assault of this type.

Hissori breath was starting to return to normal as the man began to catch his breath. It was really no secret that out of people everyone in the village that had been trained as a shinobi Hissori probably was the least combat trained when it came to physically fighting in open combat. It seemed though for now, the threat was over. His emerald green eyes would look out upon the battlefield as he tried to figure out what to do next. Calling a village wide meeting seemed like the right thing to do at this point, but doing that so soon after the attack would not be smart if they attacked again.

“Tomorrow, we will be having a village wide meeting in the spire. Right now, Umashi-san we need to heal the injured people of Inner Marushi and make sure the village is secure from anymore attacks. Lets go get you healed and then we can go attend to the more serious injuries.” Hissori told the man as he reached into a running pouch he had on his hip pulling out energy drinks.

“Here. Special Energy drink from Iron Country, their military forces use them to restore chakra.” He said handing one to the other shinobi as he started to slowly away towards the make shift trauma unit.

“Oh and I still owe you a game of Moji.” He reminded him as he walked off

Minor wounds were all she was able to heal. She went through all her supplies helping anyone that seemed injured enough to need attention. Those that were able to walk with some fluidity were left on their own to heal. Though it seemed like most made it out well enough, only a few bodies were strewn about here and there. The underground bunkers in the buildings all around allowed most to survive the onslaught, mostly the unlucky ones were still under the fractured and crumbling buildings. Everyone else had managed to run away from the action. If only she knew though. The unfortunate ones were mostly those that were outside the gates, something very few medics had made way to at all.

The request was sent out. She was to join up with her squad and would then receive orders at that point. The village still had some form government and military system like construct in place. Things were happening, slowly at first but they would eventually ramp up. In the soon to be future, perhaps she would be able to be of greater help then she was during this fight. At least she wasn't a casualty this time around.

Obey your thirst!

Nodding to the Sennin and taking the drink, Umashi opened it and let the refreshing taste sooth his body from the inside out. One thing that Hissori had failed to mention that the kick was going to be so strong. His mind and body revitalized, it was almost as if he had wings with which to fly with. Going with the buzz, Umashi committed the brand to memory and was about to head off with Hissori when he noticed Daimao Kuppa out of the corner of his eye. Surely the creature must have been invisible to all but other similar contract owners because he was orchestrating a small team of seemingly demolitionist turtles to hack off the manageable spikes.

Making eye contact with the beast and simply nodded as he figured that allowing the turtle forensic scientist types get a head start on the humans might not be such a bad idea. They’d need all the help that they could get going forward and heck, Hissori might already have his Kami doing the same. Hearing Hissori mention that game that he still owed him, he laughed though and got back to the topic at hand. Resting up and then getting back to work.
“That you do my good friend, that you do.” From one journey to the next, life was still proving to be the most amazing adventure for the reformed pirate.
