Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

[ooc, I guess I will post since no one else has]

Zenichi watched from beneath his bowed head as a few others performed the Chakra paper test. unexpectedly, each of them were able to perform it flawlessly. Zenichi remembered in his day that several students were quickly removed from the class because they couldn't form chakra. Not every student was going to be a Ninja. A sad truth that many dreams have been crush before they began with. So it was insane to assume that Suna never had a student that simply didn't have the skills or ability to mold his chakra in the slightest way. This put Zenichi in a bad light because now attention is being drawn towards him for being the first kids ever in Suna history to not be able to channel chakra.

To compound things worse, the teacher called for a med-nin to come and examine him. The fates seemed to hate Zenichi for not only did a med-nin arrive but she quickly deduced that something was off about him. The mud was getting think and he was going to have to tread it in order to stay afloat. Zenichi went on the offensive and continued the bizarre act of innocence and naivity. When the med-nin said that he smelled different, he first lifted his armpit and stuck his nose into it. Quickly nodding his head as it not being a source of a foul smell, he then slid off his shoe. Hundreds of miles through the forest and desert, mixed in with a few saturation of beach water when near the docks made for a horrid smelling shoe. He briefly took a whiff and made a face of disgust. He didn't have to act this time, the reaction was involuntary just as the vomit would be if he didn't move it away soon.

He then pointed the opening of the shoe as close to the med-nin's nose as possible, as if to ask if this was the smell she was talking about.

[[Well, I was gonna wait a bit longer to see if Kaiyo would post, but apparently she hasn't been on since the 22nd >.<]]

The redhead's eyes rolled and she shook her head as she watched the boy named Sazawari light his paper on fire then drop it before it burned him. He seemed so cocky as he leaned back in his chair and spoke, cockiness wasn't a quality the young shinobi admired in people, and really she was just annoyed by his attitude. Turning her emerald eyes from Sazawari to the boy next to him, she watched him with an eyebrow quirked up as he closed his eyes and took on a look of concentration before his paper became soaked then covered with crystals. Her eyes widened at this, never having seen anything like it – it was really quite beautiful and it took her a moment to pull her eyes away from it as the instructor spoke.

The bit of information about anyone learning to control any element struck a cord with Amy, causing her eyes to widen a little more as she imagined all she could do if she worked hard enough. Grinning even wider, she continued to listen as Harupia spoke about her own element - that she begrudgingly shared with the cocky bastard, Sazawari – explaining that it could be volatile and devastating depending on the control one could employ. In the young blacksmith's eyes, the possibilities were endless, and she decided that she would need to check out the library to learn a bit more about all the different elements she could learn. She turned her eyes away to look out the window, imagining all of her prospects with a mischievous grin.

She continued staring out the window for a bit as she tried to imagine the type of shinobi she could become before the change in their sensei's tone of voice broke into her daydream. Amy's smile drooped a little as her eyes returned to the strange looking boy who was having trouble using his chakra paper, their Sensei was calling a Med-Nin to come assist him. For a moment, she wondered what was wrong with him that would be causing the issue with his chakra coil but before she could think too much about it, Harupia called the class to the front of the room. Snapping her eyes back to the instructor, she pushed herself to her feet and walked up to the front of the room to stand next to the desk with her left hand resting on the pommel of her sword.

Just as she had taken her position at the front of the classroom, a girl with blue hair and a fox companion walked into the room. She wore the sterile white clothes that were often associated with a medical professional, so there was really no question why she had come to their classroom. Amy watched, leaning against the desk, as the Med-nin looked the boy over and made the strange assessment that he 'smelled different.' At this comment, the redhead stood up again, took a few steps closer then sniffed the air to see if she could tell a difference but all she smelled was classroom. Shrugging slightly, she moved back to the desk and pulled herself up to sit on the edge while she continued to watch the proceedings. Amy laughed a little as Zenichi sniffed at his armpits, searching for the phantom smell, but she gagged and covered her mouth with her hands as soon as he removed his shoe. The smell was disgusting and strong, strong enough that her hands weren't enough to keep the smell from her nostrils. Instead, she grabbed her long, red braid and pulled it around her head, covering her mouth and nose with the sweet smelling plait.

Harupia was quite pleased that his call was answered so quickly. And by someone he knew, so that was even better. Though, he realized, it was quite a long time since he last had the chance to talk with the Inuzuka Shinobi. So she was a Med-nin now. It was good to see her climbing through the ranks. Her choice of furthering her Shinobi path was interesting, though he couldn’t really say he knew her well enough to say how fitting it was. Seeing how she cared about her fox companion, it made sense she would look after other Shinobi.

Sooner than later, the assistance came, Yume being dressed fitting to her profession, and even Curua being equipped with a nice bag on his back. Smiling brightly at the sight of a familiar face (though it also made it apparent just how long it’s been since the last time they met) he would bow his head in greeting as he said "Yume-San, so good to see you. I see your doing well for yourself. I hope Curua doesn’t mind the extra work your putting him through" he said in a jesting tone, wondering just how heavy would the medical pack be for the fox.

Moving to the less pleasant topic, seeing how Yume picked up one of the chakra papers, he would say "I thought about them being faulty, but thy worked well for the other students. I called because of one of the stud..." he would stop mid-sentence, seeing her wander of towards Zenichi, and commenting how he had a different scent. An usual display for most, but he had some experience with other Inuzuka. Their sense of smell was quite keen, and he guessed it wasn’t uncommon for them to try and inspect a scent very foreign for them. Though the question was what she meant by “different”? could someone’s inability to manipulate chakra be imprinted in their scent…Ok, a farfetched idea, but really, who knew the extent of the powers of some Shinobi…

What happened next was a bit…well, he wasn’t sure if the student was simply panicking due to the whole situation, or if he thought acting like a slob was the way to get out…Coughing in a pointed way he would say “Zenich, I’m pretty sure Sagasu-san can feel you scent without you presenting you shoes to her… If you want to impress a girl you should offer things that smell nice. Put you shoe back on” he concluded in a more demanding tone. Of course if Yume would insist on sniffing the shoe for evidence, he was all for it, but he assumed she wouldn’t mind smelling it from a greater distance.

As the scene went on, it seemed that most of the class was focused either on themselves, or the show before him. Only one of them actually moved to the desk, which he acknowledge with a nod towards the girl. Then he would ace he rest of the class and say “Come on people, we’re not here for medical class. Step up to the desk, we won’t let this situation disrupt the class…” he said, waiting for the other students to come join their college.

After that he would turn to Yume and say “Sorry about that…I guess my first class isn’t going as well as I’d like. As I was saying, Zenichi here seems to be having trouble manipulating chakra. I know some people just aren’t capable of doing so, but I didn’t want to just throw him out. Can you take him for a checkup to the tower? Unless you can see if his coils are alright on the spot. Whichever would be more feasible for you…sorry to bug you about something so trivial, just didn’t want to leave the kid alone. I’ll be sure to make it up to you somehow” he said with a slightly awkward smile. He really didn’t want to make it look like dumping a problem on her shoulder, but he didn’t want to leave the class or the lone student untended. As he waited for Yume to answer, he would prepare setting up the target. Particles of dirt and sand would start to trickle from round the room, and from the sleeves of his robe, forming a simple looking target by the blackboard. Hopefully he could get the class on track still.
Once again, sorry for the delay. Wanted to give some time for everyone to post. Since giving everyone a few days to post seem's a bit ambigious, Ill set a time frame. On Friday 20, 8:30 Site time, Ill be doing my next post. Sorry for the troubles everyone, Ill try my best to have it go smooth from now x.x

Vomit rose in the Mednin’s throat and it was all she could do to stop it from reaching her mouth. His reaction to her assessment of smelling funny was comical until his shoe came off. Before his hand even reached the footwear, she was bracing for the assault as her nose had picked up the funky smell long before she had even stepped near him. That, however, was not the smell she was referring to. Fingers pinching under her nostrils to both block the smell and cover her mouth, she nods her agreement with Harupia. A dead skunk would have been a better than the odor she had just witnessed. Swallowing down the bad taste, she coughs and gags on the residual air whilst whipping a couple of tears from her eyes.

Ah… *ahem*…yes. I can do my check up here in the vicinity. He and I will go to another class room so we don’t disturb your class. It seems you have your hands full. Quite the range of affinities in this class.

Another cough and a couple of deep breaths seemed to clear Yume’s lungs. From the floor, CuRua had crouched down and covered his nose with both paws. Since he was on the floor, the smell was still very prevalent to his sensitive canine nose. Beckoning for Zenichi to follow her, she would reach the door and slide it open, pausing long enough to look back at Harupia with a smile and a blush sparkling on her cheeks

It’s not a problem. This is my job…. But if you’d like to make it up to me, I’m always up for a coffee.

Her exit was much more refined than the last time she departed his presence. No hitting walls or tripping over her fox. She had come a long way in her interactions with males. Speaking of her fox, he would keep a few paces back both to ensure that the student was following Yume to the class room and to clear his sinuses. Listening for a moment, she would slide the door open and flick the lights on. Settling down on top of one of the desks, she looks Zenichi up and down. One nail would reach up and scratch her twin fang marks on her right cheek.

Now as I said, you smell different. That’s not an insult or anything, it’s just that I identify people by their scent more often than by sight. For example, Harupia? I identify him by the scent of sand. It’s different than the sand found around the village that most people get on them because he’s a Sunaku. It’s part of who he is.

You don’t smell like the village; not enough to say that you’re from around here. Also, most academy students smell of dirt and disappointment. You don’t. So we’ll try this again. You smell different. Why?

As she waits for him to respond, she would take out a thin paper from CuRua’s pouch and place it gently on the desk beside her. If he chose to continue claiming that he was a student and simply wasn’t capable of using chakra, she would have to begin her check-up. Putting out the chakra paper was her way of showing him that she was serious about the issue which Harupia called her for. This wasn't an interrogation. If it was, she would have started by showing him her acupuncture kit. That would come later.

Sazawari didn't really know what to make out of the scene unfolding before him and the rest of the class. For some reason, one of his fellow students appeared to have a problem with channeling his chakra into the piece of paper, and a medical consult had been called in to further analyze the situation. He decdied to keep his mouth shut, lean back and wait untill something happened or something told him to do otherwise. Eventually, that's what happened as the lecturer instructed the young ones to step forward to dive into the depths of the field that was chakra and affinity control. Perhaps this would grant him some insight into his own element and how to utilize it properly. After all, fire could be used for so many things. With a scuffing walk, he stood up from the chair and closed the distance between himself and the desk at the head of the class room.

Mouko stared onwards as the new member to the class was having such a hard time with... the smell?... of a certain student. He gave a quick shrug of his shoulders, he had never met either of them, so telling someones story while being a stranger to them was an almost impossible task. He looked over at Sazawari, wondering if the boy was as bored with the class time as he was. It seemed like his day would never end, and the constant meaningless tasks were still quite the stretch. He began to lean back and sleep, his feet on top of his desk and his broadening shoulders filling in the back of it. The classroom desk whined under the extra weight, threatening to crack under the weight that the boy had been rapidly gaining.

He was almost into a blissful sleep until he heard something about the newcomer that he had somehow missed before. She was a medic nin, or at least someone well versed in the arts of helping people. His ears perked up at that, listening intently to the situation as he cracked the knuckles on his burnt hand. It would certainly be useful to memorize any of the medics in the village, as well as take notes of their other abilities. "Sazawari, take notes for me, okay?"

The redhead let her hair drop again once the smell had somewhat faded into the air around the room, and leaned back on the instructor's desk, her hands supporting her from their spots on the desk about a foot behind her. The interruption of the med-nin was interesting, but she wanted to get the 'class' part going. Her head tilted back, she watched the girl leave the room before her eyes switched to the cocky boy who had finally moved up to the front of the class next to her. Hopefully they would be doing something interesting next, she was excited to have learned what her natural affinity was, but the break in the class for Yume to come in to escort the weird looking guy out had bored her fairly quickly.

Switching her eyes back over to the other boy in the class, she frowned, he had his feet up on the desk and looked like he had been napping. He told the cocky boy to take notes for him, but he seemed to be a little behind the times due to his nap as the time for notes had passed. Rolling her eyes she shook her head a little before speaking up, "Hey! Why don't you come up here like you're supposed to be doing, there's not much to take notes about right now. You'd probably know that if you'd stay awake..." She finished with another eye-roll before pushing herself off the desk and back into a standing position where she crossed her toned arms over her torso, muttering a little to herself, just loud enough to be heard almost clearly. "Stupid boys..."

The boy opened one of his eyes slightly and eyed the young girl for a few seconds. He was not sure if he was impressed by the moxxy of the girl that had spoken like that to someone getting as large as Mouko was, or if he was just purely annoyed with the girl for interrupting his nap. Between the constant training with his father and the time spent inside of classes at the academy, he had so little time to sleep anymore. Alas, the larger boy stood up from his seat, and moved slowly down the isles of seats towards the front of the room. He was definitely getting taller as the past few months had gone by, and his once ungainly arms were not becoming a respectable size of his body. He certainly began to fill in all of his shirts quite well. The boy almost stood at five foot five inches at only the age of thirteen. As he stood at the front of the room, he place his arm around the dear classmate that had roused him from his slumber. "Here I am, no need to get so angry over something so simple." He never moved his eyes from their instructor, his smile as broad as ever. The young ninja gave a slight nod of his head towards the instructor, and stood completely at ease. He reached into his pocket and laid the tiny crystalline paper onto the front desk, sticking the end of it into the wood. "I didn't know if you wanted us to return those or not."

He could see just how Yume reacted to the pungent smell, feeling truly sorry for the Inuzuka Shinobi. Still, after the initial surprise she seemed to be handling he smell quite well. After she spoke he would say "Yes, a lot of variety in this class, which is never a bad thing. And I’ll keep that in mind" he added with a smile at her answer. A nice coffee seemed like a nice compensation for the slight stinker he put her through. As she moved on her way out of the class, he nodded towards Zenichi with a reassuring smile, urging him to move along with her. As much as he hoped he would be alright, he had other class mates to attend to...some of which were starting to snooze. He could agree the lessons was less than stellar at this point...still, he wondered if more bulky teacher were disrespected in such a manner.

Before he could attempt to reprimand the other student, Suchiru took it upon herself to give him a wakeup call, which as effective enough, having him step up towards the desk... as he stood next to her, he couldn’t help to chuckle a bit as he said "Now Hotoke-kun, you might get yourself between fire and a hard place..." If he leant anything, it was that angering a women, especially with Shinobi training, was usually not the best idea.

Now, there was still one more student in the class, but she seemed to be still feeling bad about the fact her element was not as she wished. Deciding to focus for now on those students who at least acknowledge his presence, he would say "You can keep the chakra paper as a souvenir if you wish, or you can leave it in class. For now, to wrap up this calls, I’d like to prove a point that while important, the affinity you possess does not limit any of your ability. Therefore, we will attempt to learn a technique outside of you spectrum of abilities..."he said, the target on the other side of the target already formed into a semi-human like shape. His hand flashing quickly in a short set of seals he would call out "Futon: Wind Slash!" after which he swung his fingers at the target, a concentrated projectile made out of air flying through the air, making a cut mark on the target.

Turning back to his pupils he said "I know it’s a bit counter intuitive, but in principle, all jutsu are the same: Focus you energy at one point of the body which will channel the jutsu, while the hand seals will allow you to give it its shape and the wanted element" as he turned to the students, and showed them the sequence of three hand seals needed for the jutsu. He spoke on "It might be tricky at first, but if you manage to learn a jutsu of foreign element, then broadening that knowledge to jutsu of other elements should be simple. So the final task is hitting the target with the Wind Slash. targeting live targets will not gain you any more points" he said with a chuckle, before rounding up saying "If you guys need a reminder of the seals just let me know. Remember: focus you chakra in your fingers, go through the hand seals, name the jutsu, and then swing you fingers, as if you were using a Shuriken" trying to help them as much as he could. In the end, it was them who had to conjure the attack, not him.

Zenichi was a bit proud of himself for making such an unique distraction with taking off his shoe. He was heartbroken a bit when she quickly decided that the distraction wasn't going to work the way he hoped. She stated that they would be going to another room to examine him further. He was starting to get into hot water now. He grabbed his backpack and followed her out of the classroom. She made a cute remark towards the teacher about coffee being a way to apologize for the assault on her nose but Zenichi was too nervous to make a cute reply. He was too deep in thought on how to respond.

He had a choice, he could go with the truth or he could continue with the ruse. Both paths had it's pitfalls and he had to be careful of he could be rushing out of Suna.

Once he got to the new room, he noticed a fox following behind them. It was an interesting fox for it seemed more than just a pet. The way it paid attention to them intereact, the way it seemed a lot more fit and muscular than most pets. Zenichi was starting to get uneasy about being alone with 2 potential opponents. One on one, he might be able to handle escaping but with a track dog fox could make it impossible.

As she laid the chakra paper on to the desk, he realized that the answer may be simple. He needed to perform the trick and give a short, but honest answer. He took his hand out of his pocket and looked at her with the most pitiful expression. He reached onto the desk and touched the very edge of the paper. He had enough chakra pumping through his body that the moment his finger touched the paper, it should have ignited. But he decided to hold it back a bit and play it as if he was struggling. Soon, a trickle of Chakra left his finger and ignited a slow burn onto the paper.

I'm an orphan visiting Suna.

Tender eyes and a gentle smile would follow his finger as his face would contort a little in focus, doing his best to muster enough chakra to produce a result. With a little effort the paper would ignite, eliciting a clap of joy from the Mednin as her soft smile expanded into a wide grin.

Very good! You have two others like you in your class already. Perhaps Harupia-san will need an extinguisher near by with all of this incendiary affinity! I still want to check you over. I could also use acupuncture to increase chakra flow just a little. It would make this class a bit easier but it wouldn’t be permanent.

She would remove her stethoscope from the pack which her fox was carrying and place it into her ears, asking Zenichi to breathe in and out for her as she would listen to first his back and then his chest. A little bit of sand could be heard from his travels through the maelstrom but nothing that was worse than the average person in Suna. It was a way of life. Everyone here contained a little bit of silica. Dropping the apparatus from her ears to around her neck, she would press her index and middle fingers to his crown, forehead, collar bone, just under his diaphragm and then on either side of his naval using a little bit of her own chakra to feel for blockages. Her natural affinity was water, but after discovering the boy’s inclination to fire, she decided it would be better to draw on wind to do her analysis. Finally her finger tips would press down on his thighs, sending chakra up his legs to verify Root. Nothing would seem out of place. Her skill wasn’t so extensive that she could 'see' how strong someone was, she wasn’t Hyuuga, but she could check for the evidence of stagnation which was nowhere to be found. In fact, the chakra flowed rather well for someone who apparently had so little of it.

Opening her own mouth she would instruct him to say ‘Ah’ while she checked the back of his throat, putting two fingers lightly across his trachea. This would be a dual purpose check. 1) to feel the point in his throat as it was the last chakra hub that hadn’t been assessed and 2) to see if there had been any damage to his throat from his journey.

An orphan, huh? Me too, except I was 14 when my mother died. Just my brother Shinji and I now… Well, and CuRua too. How did you get across the Maelstrom? It’s not impossible, but it’s very difficult. Did you come in on a caravan? Who are you staying with while you’re here? Or… are you living here now? Where did you come from?

She would nod down to her fox at the mention of his name to give clarity as to who CuRua was in the event that the student had missed Harupia’s mention of his name earlier. When the questions came they would simply be that: questions. There was no evidence of disbelief or trying to catch him in a lie. She was just curious about his story.

Zenichi squirmed as she poked and prodded him with her stethoscope and then fingers. He didn't know he was ticklish. In all honesty, this is the most physical interaction he ever had. That included his own mother. As as woman who rented out her affection, she never had any for him. He was glad for that because as he learned of her occupation, he saw her as a vile creature unworthy of the slightest touch. As she delved deeper into the exam, he started to become uncomfortable. While she was a professional, they weren't in a formal hospital setting and she wasn't in a lab coat or scrubs. The whole setting grew worse as he became concerned that she was getting more than just vitals from him. When she asked for him to say Ah, he decided that he couldn't take any more of the examination.

I'd prefer not to. This exam is making me feel odd. I don't have a sore throat or anything.

It was a blessing that my mother no longer controlled my destiny. I saw a flyer for the Toroano wedding. It said that transportation would be available for all who wanted to attend. Thought it might be a fun time. As far as the rest, I've been here and there. Honorable Sousuke-sama has shown me parts of the village and has even made me a weapon.

I would like to go back to the classroom now. I can't learn much in an empty room

I was checking that the sands coming across the dunes hadn’t caused any lasting damage to your throat and vocal cords. Your voice was a little deeper than I’d expect from a student just starting out, however you do appear a little older than most. Nothing wrong with starting later in life, I suppose. Your accent is also a little different, but I suppose we sound just as strange, being stuck in this cavern and all.

Her face would then flush a bright red as she would register what he might have meant by feeling odd by the exam. She had been doing her best not to be overly intrusive with her physical contact however it never occurred to her that one might not be comfortable with physical contact at all. A look of horror would appear as she covered her mouth with one hand and took a step back.

Ohmigoodness! I didn’t think to ask. Would you prefer that I have a male mednin called in? Or perhaps Harupia? I start to think of people as genderless so I don’t always see my actions as invasive. I deeply apologize for any problems I may have cause for being female.

She would clap her hands together, fingers pointed to the ceiling as she bows deeply, profoundly apologetic for her actions if they had offended him in anyway. For all of her knowledge, she really was an airhead when it came to interaction with members of the opposite sex even in the most harmless of settings. The mention of the Toraono wedding caught her attention. She recalled such an event occurring but did not partake in the festivities as she felt she did not know the family well enough to impose on their blissful day. By this point she would have stood up again, still shrunk back as if she had been bitten by a dog, clear that she really had meant no harm. The mention of the Steward Kazekage however would bring a smile back to her innocent features.

You know Sousuke-san? And he gave you a weapon? That’s wonderful. I have never seen the weapons he’s crafted but I have seen his work. Very beautiful, but I suppose when one’s family works exclusively in metal that it is to be expected.

The fondness with which she spoke of the Steward gave away her inner feelings towards the man, but she managed to keep them in check aside from the childlike smile that beamed across her features. Her fox would headbutt her ankle before she would get the hint to compose herself. There was the last matter of his request to return to the class room. She would roll this around in her head for a moment. There really was no reason why he couldn’t go back to class but there was one last question she wanted answered.

I don’t see why not but I am curious about how you talk… where exactly are you from? What village? If the Steward has met with you, he must have granted some form of clemency and knows your situation so far be it from me to try and stir something up because you’re a foreigner… it’s just that I’ve never left the village except to go to Soon’s Haven with my dad when he was alive.

Regardless, I found nothing wrong with you. From what I could tell your chakra appears to be flowing normally. No blocks or stagnation. It is a conundrum as to why you couldn’t ignite the paper in the first place… but no matter.

[[Guess I'll just post now...]]

Amy scowled as the boy put his arm around her and shifted away from him, turning her emerald eyes on his large frame before she spoke, ”I'm not angry...just impatient. There's a difference.” Her voice was a bit threatening as she looked up at her classmate. The boy might have been bigger than she was, but the petite redhead was still not one to be messed with. Turning again to look at Harupia, she listened carefully to his instructions and laughed a little when he mentioned to Mouko that it probably wasn't the best idea to pick on a shinobi woman. Still grinning, she paid special attention to the hand signs necessary for the wind slash jutsu and to its effects.

This jutsu had the possibility of being very useful in conjunction with her own taijutsu abilities, especially if she could create a weak spot in an opponents armor or something similar before attacking from melee range. Another small chuckle left the girl's lips as their instructor warned them not to attack their classmates...the thought had crossed her mind.

Focusing her mind and thinking through the steps needed to activate this ability, Amy was the first to step forward and give the new jutsu a try. She had worked on channeling chakra and had learned a fair few jutsu with Toushin, her hired trainer, so this came fairly easily to her. Her small, but strong, hands raised before her and she formed the quick series of hand seals before calling out in a confident tone, “Futon: Wind Slash!” and swinging out the fingers of her right hand just as she had been instructed to, sending a slightly smaller elemental projectile through the air to whiz right past the target and put a small slash mark in the wall behind it.

Her cheeks reddened and she grabbed her braid to pull it around her, her hands twisting it between them, trying to fight off the embarrassment she was feeling. “Erm....I'm better with my swords...”

Zenichi wasn't prepared for the change in her attitude at the mention of Sousuke. He hadn't thought of name dropping to give himself a bit of clout. Her demanor went from suspicious and inquisitive to being almost giddy with delight about Zenichi's connection with the Kazekage. He could hae kicked himself for not playing that trump card faster.

The only thing that changes when you travel is the landscape and the cuisine. It's either sand, soil, or water in your shoes and the food taste just like one of those three.

Maybe I just need to practice with the chakra paper more

Zenichi stood up and gave her a gracious bow. He actually wanted to stay and talk to the Med-nin for a while. He hadn't had a relaxing conversation in a while. When traveling with Kagemaru and Ginjirio, it was nothing but either fighting talking about or the mission. Mostly fighting. That got boring real quick. Once he got to Suna, he was to busy trying to blend in and be a shadow to allow for interaction with others on a friendly level. But instant gratification of his needs had to be put on the back burner. He would get some down time soon when he made it home.

He gave a quick wave to her as he left, and a small smile to the fox too. As he approached the door, he was wondering if he even needed to go into this classroom again. The subject was basic and he assumed that it couldn't be much different than what they taught in Konoha. He decided to stay by the door and listen a bit more to the teacher without having to continue the facade of being a student there.

Haru waited for the students to come up and preform the task, chuckling a bit at the back and forth between the girl and the boy. Even outnumbered she didn’t want to back down. That would serve her well in her future career...he observed the other girl still on her seat, still wondering just what made her react so badly to the element...still, he would deal with that after the class. For now he had to focus on the people who were willing to cooperate...though two of the boys seemed to not be too keen on doing what they were told.

He watched the red-head step forward and preform the needed seals in hasty manner, before letting a smell projectile of wind whiz through the air, though a bit inaccurately. Rising a brow at her words he would say with a chuckle "I’m sure you are, but that won’t get you credit in this class. On the bright side, that wasn’t a bad try, especially considering this isn’t you native element. I can see you've practiced controlling you chakra a bit before...". Moving a bit closer to her, he went through the necessary seals again, slowly so she could see exactly while saying "One thing I can advise is being a bit more careful with you seals. Warm up you fingers a bit before trying to perform any jutsu. It’s the seals which shape the chakra into the needed form. In the first few times even a small twitch of the finger can cause the jutsu to not act just like you want it to. It just a question of practice, just as wielding a sword... I could use a bit of practice with that" he concluded with a small chuckle, again attempting to lighten the mood.

Turning to the other two students still close by he would say "I’m trying to be nice here guys, but seriously, I don’t think I’m asking for too much here. You can try and preform the jutsu, or you can be known as the two students who couldn’t conjure up a basic jutsu...come on, show me what you got!" his voice getting a bit of a demanding tone in the end. He was a patient men, but these two were kind of pushing the limit. Perhaps he needed to rethink his approach a bit...and with all that he couldn’t help but to wonder just how the talk between Zenichi and Yume was going.

Zenichi listened to the class go on. It gave him a sense of nostalgia of his own Academy days. He wanted to walk in there and tell them that this was only a stepping stone for their careers and to not take is so seriously. He knew the anxiety they were feeling at that moment for it was one that he recently felt himself. But they had to learn for themselves that each step forward is small, even if it seemed giant.

He gave a quick smile as he threw his backpack on and left the hallway. It was time to go home.

Before she could stop him, Zenichi would dismiss himself from her care and walk back to the classroom. She had no reason to keep him from class but the fact that he was in a rush to get out of her presence made her a little wary. She would stand in the door way with her arms crossed and watch him make his way to the door of the class, stopping to listen in as if deciding whether he really wanted to go back to class. The corners of his mouth would draw up as he hitched up his backpack over his shoulder and turned away from the door. Taking a couple of steps and the stopping, Yume would scowl and look down to CuRua for any suggestions.

Why isn’t he going back to class?

We could stop him, or we could simply let Harupia know. His chakra is fine and he was in no real danger and poses no real threat as a student.

With another grumble, she would wrestle with the scenario a little longer before heading for the door which Zenichi had stopped at and let herself into the classroom. She would wait just inside of the doorway until Harupia’s would look her way, watching as he instructed the students in Wind Slash. Finding a moment to step up to his side, Yume would speak in barely more than a whisper in hopes to keep their conversation from the prying ears of the students.

His chakra was fine. I had him try on another chakra paper and he was able to produce fire with a little difficulty. There was something about him that was a little off though. He came to the village for the Toraono wedding but has never left. He’s an orphan but knows the Steward. Medically he is sound… as for his story, something just isn’t right. I don’t think he’s a student. I think he was controlling his chakra to appear weaker than he was. Either way, he’s left the school but I would keep an eye out for him.

Yume failed to mention the part when Zenichi started to panic when she touched him. The last thing she wanted was Harupia to think that she was unprofessional in her practices or that she was coming onto her patients. The thought of such an accusation made the back of her neck heat up but she was able to control her discomfort enough to keep the blush from her face.

He wasn’t sure where he did his mistake…he was pretty sure the task before them wasn’t overly complicated, but still useful enough for future reference…and sure, he wasn’t kicking them down as they stood when they didn’t listen to them, but he was pretty sure he wasn’t going to soft on them. For whatever reason (perhaps the fact there was a medical intervention) but by now only Suchiru seemed to pay any more attention, while the boys just were absent minded the whole time… As he looked around, he noticed Yume stand in the door, without the student in tow… and soon after she stepped in closer, whispering to his ear... he never really suspected he’d ever not enjoy a situation like this, but hey, there is a firs time for everything.

Soo, someone snuck into his class…he guessed making lists had its value anyway…and the Steward knew him? Was this some kind of secret control of his lesson? Well, in that case he didn’t seem to have a career in teaching in the future. Nodding to Yume, he would turn to the rest of the class and clap his hands loudly, making sure to gather the attention of everyone as he said “Alright guys, I’ve tried to be patient, but I think that we’ve wasted enough time here for today. Maybe some of you see this lessons as trivial, but I don’t see any of you having earn this” he paused pointing to the village emblem at his belt, before continuing “ As far as I’m concerned, only Suchiru-chan here showed enough initiative to actually success in the class. The rest of you can either come and see me at a later date, or try your luck with other teacher’s. But if you people keep up this kind of attitude, you’ll sooner find yourself a profession at cleaning up the city streets then actual Shinobi work! And I’ll make sure the other teachers know what kind of slackers their dealing with!” he half shouted finally, glaring down at the two boys. With his nice disposition it might have not look particular menacing, but still, they managed to irate him somewhat.

Taking a long breath, he would say “Class dismissed. Hope you guys have a good day…” after which he turned to the red haired girl with a slight smile saying *You did pretty well. Remember, just focus more on the handsels for the time being…”. Finally, he would turn towards Yume and say in a quitter tone “Thanks for your help, and sorry for troubling you, and forcing you to watch me…not at my best. Still…I think I have some more work to do…” he said, noticing the other girl from the class still sitting at her desk sulking. With a soft sigh he said “I’m sure your busy now, so I won’t hold you up…but I’d be glad to get that coffee to thank you for your help soon…” smiling towards her, before he moved to the other side of the class…if the girl was struck so hard by a chakra paper, she really would need to rethink being in the academy. Maybe at least he could help one more person more than the others… he really needed to get into the grove if he was to be a good teacher.

(Class Complete. Suchiru Amejisuto earns +500 yen and +5 stats as well as an E-rank Jutsu of her choice. Link back here in you training to claim the rewards, I’ll give you the Yen shortly. As for the other's, sorry but I can’t in good conscious give the rewards to the other players. However I take blame for the lack of activity as well so I won’t be collecting the teacher reward for this one. Sorry guys, not my best work)
