Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

This mission is before the final climax of the Kingslayer arc

"Yes, I have not forgotten the event, Shuichi-senpai." Shin said as he began to organizing a series of scrolls that covered his desk. His forefinger rested against the side of his inner ear as he attempted to amplify the sound from his headset. The background was static but Shin could hear the stuffy man's voice. It was the day that Shin was invited, euphemism for requested, to show the village coming of age in helping the country in this time of the country rebuilding. Shinrai was still trying to reestablish his face as the new Shogun and Shin had his responsibility cleaning the image of Kumogakure after his uncle had damaged it.

"I was just on my way to the station...I will speak to you in an hour." Shin continued as he lifted his notorious black notebook and inserted within his coat. Shin quickly changed the channel of his headset as he ended the current conversation and started a new one. "Hitomi..." Shin said attempting to get the woman's attention.

"Hai, Hayata-sama." She replied.

"I just finished speaking with Shuichi and I am leaving the office. Have you notified Karou-chan."Shin said as he lowered his body before picking up a small burlap bag.

"Yes, I spoke to her just a few minutes ago. You are expected to meet with her at the gates. Also, I have notified Masao that he will be iterm kage until your return. I have organized several couriers in the event that you need to be contacted via telegram or letter. I would like to remind you that there is a chance of high winds as you travel so please bring a coat." She said.

Shin sighed. It could not be helped that Hitomi could be so overprotective sometimes. Shin was an Uchiha and a master of the fire element. Even in the midst of a blizzard Shin would be fine.

"Hai, Let Hoshikata and his comrades know that I will let him know about my decision with the Kage Summit being held at the Moon Country. Also, his plans for his clan will not be considered threat unless provoked. Keep me in contact, Hitomi." Shin said as he lifted his heavy white scarf from his chair and departed out the door.

In a few minutes, Shin was standing by the gates taking in the scene. Most of his countenance was covered by his white scarf and collar only revealing his tinted glasses. His eyes were focused on the contents of his notebook that held in his right hand. Periodically, he would look up to see the many jounin standing stout and austere around the the gates.

"The Raikage? Why?" I asked with disbelief.

"Not sure sir, but he's awaiting release. It was decided to come find you." said a generic gate guard.

"Yea no problem." I replied, standing and making my way through the short hall out into the yard.

I walked over to Hayata Shin with a puzzled look on my face. After such a crazy mission I just had, it was hard to believe that this man was going out alone, without escort. I almost wanted to not approve his departure without a word to Masao.

"Raikage-sama. Are you here for an inspection, or do you need to be processed?"

Kaoru zoomed through her apartment, acquiring anything she would need for her upcoming mission. The young girl was nervous beyond boundaries as she jumped around the small studio. She made a quick checklist in her head. Kunai - check, imperishable food - check, bandages - check, passport - check. After being satisfied by her preparations, Kaoru put on her gear, a small pack that hooked up to her waist, and a comfortable outfit that covered her armor and weapons.

She glanced out of the nearby window and saw that the tree limbs were dancing in the wind. Kaoru grabbed a red scarf that hanged from the coat rack by her door and then left the room. She zoomed through the streets of Kumogakure until she reached the gates where she was supposed to meet the Raikage.

The young girl's heart pounded with nervousness. The woman named Hitomi san told her wait for the leader by the gates, but the anxiety welling up in her little body was becoming to much. Oh I hope I don't screw up. I can't mess this up! These sort of thoughts raced through her mind. She began to play with her fingers as she continued wait.

After a few minutes she noticed a man with a large white scarf and dark glasses. The glasses seemed like the Raikage's, but Kaoru wasn't sure so she waited and watched.

[Messenger Animal npc Requesting entry]

While Shin need processed to leave, Lirin requires processed to enter. Lirin was a messenger animal that had just recently delivered letters to both Sand and Mist. Lirin tilts her head curiously as the man addresses the other. “Did he just call him Raikage? I wonder where he is heading off to.” Of course she will wait her turn to be processed though normally she would be barking to hurry them along. However this was different. This intrigued her, so she sat there silently and watched. Soon there was another at the gates. Was she to go with the Kage or did she had her own destination.

[hope you don't mind me entering. It's not often you see a Kage at the gates.]

It was not too long until gate guard arrived to attend to Shin. The guard was a puzzled Zaku bewildered as to why the raikage was at the gates.

"Raikage-sama. Are you here for an inspection, or do you need to be processed?"

"Ah, Zaku-san. It is good to see you again. Yes, I need to be processed before I leave the village. I have an event that I must attend to by the end of the day and I will return in a day or so." Shin replied.

Before Zaku could respond Shin could hear the sound of heavy panting behind him. A small girl approached them rather nervous to speak. "Good, Kaoru-chan has arrived in time." Shin thought to himself as he quickly glanced at her. Shin made every attempt not to make a scene it was too much as it is to leave the village at this point; however, this event was important in reestablish the country's trust in the village. Ever since the bombing at Port Cirrus and the recent attacks from the kingslayers, the general public have been weary of Kumogakure. As raikage it was his responsibility to displace that fear. Unfortunately, he still had to deal with the missing nin in the village; he only hoped things would not go out of the control until he returned. He had confidence the rest of the sennin will maintain the peace.

"Kaoru-chan will be joining me. If you would mind checking the validity of her passport, I would appreciate it." Shin continued. At a far distance, a small canine began to approach them apparently request entrance to the village. Shin examined it hoping to determine the identify of the animal.

"Likewise." I quickly said in response. His words assured me that he wouldn't be gone for long. It was a risk he was taking stepping foot outside of the village on his own, especially with the active terrorists in our country. But if anyone could handle themselves outside of the village, it was the Raikage. He was supposed to be the best of the best, was he not?

But before I could continue, we were joined by what seemed to be a messenger animal and a small female. The dog was probably one of many messengers the village had at it's disposal, but the girl was unknown to me. Thankfully, the raikage seemed to clear it up. She would be accompanying him. I couldn't help but smile and make a small comment. "Seems like our leader will be well protected!"

I patted the girl on the head and then nodded my head. "Well, let's get you two approved and on your way. Passport and documents assisting in this exchange of information please." I requested and held my hands out for their information. I also looked to the dog nearby. "Come on, bring me your stuff and I'll get you done as well."

"Yes, of course." Shin said as he reached into his cloak pulling out his passport encased in a small plastic sleeve accompanied with a sophisticated parchment written in dark navy blue ink. The contents was a formal greeting and reminder of Shin's acceptance to join the social event at Raiden's Eye.

Hopefully, the exchange would not take too long. Shin's tinted glasses glared at the cloud shifting toward the rising sun.

[sorry for the late response]

Kaoru slowly made her way to the Raikage and gatekeeper when she identified that it was indeed him. At the same time she noticed a small dog, it had gear. Must be a messenger or something. Kaoru concluded as she continued to walk.

When the Raikage addressed her, Kaoru performed a bow before the other commented and pat her on the head.

"I'll do my best" she said in her shy little voice, while giving the man her papers. Kaoru swayed on her feet as the man checked all three of their documents.

Lirin sticks her muzzle into her pack and pulls out her passport and identification papers. The passport was the same for all messenger animals. It basically gives her the permission to leave the village at any time to anywhere. Her identification paper contained the following information:
Name: Lirin
Village of Origin: Kumogakure
Species: Timber wolf, Golden retriever mix
Blood type: AB+
Rank: Messenger Animal
On the bottom of the page were a picture of her and two paw prints; one of her front paw and one from her back paw.

With a good check among all their papers and this silliness that ensues from each, I gave them each their passport and bowed. "Well off with you, and hurry back. There are alot of dangers out there, especially for you Raikage-sama." I warned. I still didn't feel good about leaving him out there, but who was I to question his judgement, or even the councils for that matter? Not like anything bad was going to happen to him, right?

Shin retrieved the documents and the parchment placing them back into his cloak. He nodded his head as readjust his burlap bag as began to walk toward the

"We should make haste, Karou-chan. Our train departs in an hour. Are you ready?" Shin said as he turned toward her.

The man quickly checked their documents, Kaoru took them back with a small bow, "Thank you" she answered in a quiet voice before the Raikage alerted her of their schedule.

"Yes sir!" she answered as she ran toward the man, wary of any suspicious characters who came near.
