Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The three wandering clan members of the Daiki clan had eventually made their way to their way to the gates of Kumogakure after having taken quite a while to get to the gates after having entered the country itself. The three of them would take their time to get to the gate itself, though once they had gotten to it, they would wait, while the white haired female would speak. "Hello? We have three at your gates." She would say, crossing her arms.

Tama floated near the gates, sitting in ghost form. The ability was quite useful, it allowed her to scare the pants off of some of the less attentive guards at the gate, as well as phase through certain objects. It also made for a cheap and easy Halloween costume in a pinch. She had gotten lectured by one of the senior guards that instead of using her abilities for her personal amusement Tama should use them to do her job.

Well technically not her job, in exchange for having her elder sister teach her a new way of fighting Tama had agreed to take on a slew of Kimiki's responsibilities. Today's shift as a gate guardian was one of them. It was not the most entertaining of duties, but she really had no choice if she wanted Kimiki to teach her anything.

Three individuals approached the gates and interrupted Tama's attempts to amuse herself. The white-haired female individual spoke up loudly, addressing no one in particular, but with the intention of getting the attention of a gate guard. In that, the unknown individual was successful. Tama's ghostly visage phased through the gate with a little resistance, and she hovered before the group. "Boo! I'm a gate ghost! For now." She stared at the group for a moment, waiting for a reaction before she continued, "I'm Mochizuki Tama, star performer of the Mochizuki Troupe, chuunin of Kumogakure, and currently gate guard as well. Welcome to Kumo...is what I'd like to say, but," the girl pulled a crumpled piece of paper from her pocket and slowly read from it, "Kumogakure..is..under..lockdown? I think, Kimiki's handwriting is horrible. Anyhoo, I'm not supposed to let anyone in besides citizens as far as I know. I apologize for the inconvenience and," another quick glance at the crumpled paper, "encourage you to visit our village once it is reopened to the public."

The three watched as a decently young woman had moved through the gate, hovering slightly, claiming they were a gate ghost, for the time being. The woman had introduced herself as Mochizuki Tama, a performer of the Mochizuki Troupe, and a Chuunin of Kumogakure, which seemed to be locked down. What the three didn't know, was that the village was locked down for quite a while, though since they didn't know about that, they wouldn't, and couldn't say anything about it.

The white haired man would cross his arms as the white haired woman would speak again, this time at the woman. "If we can't enter, then the least you can do is answer my question. Has a Kunoichi by the name of Daiki Hoshi been through your gates? I'm not sure how far back any logs go, so... If you could find out, that'd mean a lot..." She said, as the redheaded woman seemed a little worried, when the name Hoshi had been brought up. "You can do that much, can't you? I mean surely that's not breaking anything that's going on." The white haired man had said.

"Can? Sure I could do that much. But is that the appropriate tone to be asking for someone's help?" Tama said in response to the man, "Luckily for you, the nee-chan over here has a bit more tact." She turned and floated back through the gates calling back as she went, "Wait just a moment, onee-sans plus one, I'll be right back."

A few moments later, the chuunin returned in physical form, having to actually open the gates to pass through this time. "Hehe, forgot I couldn't make other objects ghosty too...but yeah we do have a record of a Daiki Hoshi entering the village sometime before the lockdown. Seems to be...escorting a Mist sennin...and letter courier," she paused and looked at the trio before returning to the logs, "No record of her exiting though I'm afraid." Tama held up a copy of the passport she had found in the logs as well as a photograph of the woman in question taken at the time she had entered. "This is the person you're asking about, right? White hair, black dress, don't screw with me aura?"

Tama offered the trio the passport copy and the photo. There wasn't any reason not to, there were more copies in the gate office, the late Sennin Masao had been obsessed with everything done in triplicate. Papers? Copy in triplicate. Notarizations? Sign in triplicate. Photos of main branch girls in mini-skirts? Photograph in triplicate after casting light wind jutsus. Though why he did that to her brother she would never know.

"Anyways, I hope that was of help to you, nee-chans...and other person. Once again, I'm sorry I cannot allow you into the village."

The white haired man's facial expression showed that he wasn't amused at what the woman had said, though she would soon speak again as she turned and floated back through the gates. After a few moments the woman would actually open the gates this time, as she didn't seem able to go through them while carrying objects. Tama would soon state that she forgot that she couldn't make other objects 'ghostly' too, and that they did have a record of Hoshi entering the village, but it was quite some time before the lockdown, and that she had been escorting a Mist Sennin and a letter courier, but there seemed to be no record of her leaving the village. As Tama had held up the copy of the passport to show the photograph, Sayuri's eyes would widen, before both her and the red head both nodded, though Sayuri would speak. "Y-yes, that is the person I was talking about!" She would say, before hearing Tama say that she hoped that it was of help to them, and that she was, again, sorry that she couldn't allow them to enter the village. "Is she still within the village, if she hasn't been recorded leaving?" She asked, since they hadn't received a letter from Hoshi and they knew that she wouldn't just disappear from the face of the planet without letting them know in some way, shape or form.

The white haired man would cross his arms, as he was slowly getting tired of being referred to as 'other person' by the kid who was dealing with them. Both Sayuri and the red haired woman were now slightly worried as to what had happened to Hoshi. "Since you're locked down, what exactly is preventing you from letting people into the village?" The white haired man had asked, curious as to why they weren't letting in anyone.

Unfortunately, Tama didn't know too much else about this Daiki Hoshi. She hadn't ever seen her in the village, though from looking at the date on the log Tama deduced that the person of interest had probably entered during her six year stay in limbo. "I guess that's possible? Though I've never seen or heard anything of her 'til now." Tama shrugged as she replied to Sayuri. She wondered if her family had searched like this when she and Tomo had vanished. In her case, it had been a happy reunion six years later, Tama could only hope that Daiki Hoshi's family would have the same luck hers did. Tama signaled back to the gate, one of the other guards appeared next to her, "Take this photo to the Torre, she came here on a diplomatic mission, someone there should know. See if they have any record of her current status or whereabouts." The guard nodded and disappeared again, Tama turned back to the three. "That's all I can do at the moment."

The other person then spoke up, with less snark than before. Tama supposed that he couldn't help but be snarky when he was having difficulty finding a friend. Or relative. Or whatever their relationship was. Thus she reasoned that, as the magnanimous, big hearted person she was, she could also respond with less sass. "Well, I don't know the details. The previous Raikage placed the village into lockdown as a result of some trouble with immigrants, I think. But now he's dead, and the new Raikage hasn't been very visible. But the previous order still stands until the Sennin, Kage, or someone with more clout than me gets their act together to do something about it."

The nameless guard with a forgettable face returned, handing Tama her slip of paper back. "Well, it doesn't seem that anyone knows her current whereabouts. So that either means she's really good at hiding, or she's not among the living to keep track of. I'm, er, sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear, but those are the only two possibilities I see at the moment." Tama was a bit awkward when it came to condolences, the only person who had died that was close to her had been Sennin Takaki, and she hadn't even really grieved over it. "Though if there's anything else I can do that's in my power to accomplish, I'd be more than happy to help!"

He had found a mental interest to say the least in this particular exchange at the gates, wondering the morals and personal discipline. His head tilted slightly, a completely white mask covering his face completely limiting outsiders from seeing his facial appearance. It was highly possibly he was being over critical of this particular situation but it was one where he could not help but interject himself upon, especially after hearing the previous exhange from the kumogakure shinobi's lips to the apparent visitor. Hosuto was quite the one keen on certain issue that popped up within kumogakure's own shinobi force, including their ability to keep certain levels of information clear of outside ears unless it was absolutely required for them to know. In this situation he had heard Tama tell facts about their villages lockdown that equally exposed a current breach within the village organization level to someone outside, who could be working with or for anyone.

"I take it these three are kumogakure shinobi or citizens returning or departing? Or did you truly make a wise decision in telling outsiders information retaining to the village's lockdown despite not knowing who or what they could really be after?"

His cloak adjusted to his sudden appearance somewhat by Tama, his anbu cloak's hood retaining it's coverage over his head. His stature would remain unchanged, standing completely still while watching the two parties through the eyeholes of his mask, though they notably could not see any eyes looking from within, only darkness. Shifting his attention to the three, he'd make another comment which was directed solely at them.

"No offense."

The trio would listen to Tama as she spoke, also saying that she didn't know the details but the previous Raikage had placed the village into a lockdown, and died somehow. Since Hoshi hadn't contacted any of them, and considering that Sayuri and Yuzuki were fairly close to her, they had a feeling that she had passed, somehow. Since no one had a clue as to her current whereabouts. Though soon, the trio would notice a second person arrive at the gates, scolding the Chuunin, before looking at them and stating that he meant no offense. "It seems we've gotten what we were looking for, if no one has seen for our Clan member..." The white haired man would state, before turning around and taking a few steps away from the other two he was walking with.

"Thank you..." Sayuri would say, in a slightly softer voice than before, turning around and following the white haired man. Y-Yes, thank you." The red haired woman would say, as she bowed slightly before following the other two. Both of the woman had hoped that neither of their worst fears would actually come true, but it was seeming more and more likely.

[Koji/Sayuri/Yuzuki Topic Left Unless Stopped]

Tama listened to the newcomer chastise her. "Blah, blah, blah. I wasn't breaking any rules. Just making conversation. Something you could probably use a hand with." She turned to the three departing people. "Well, I wish you luck in your search! Imma go return these copies before the buzz, er, fuzz get their panties in a bunch." A quick glance at Hosuto, "Though moving the copies around is perfectly legal." She gave a small wave and bow to the trio and departed back into the village, she returned the copies then ghosted off to finish her shift before returning back to the Mochizuki compound.
