Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Takeshi walked out into the courtyard as he looked around, the trees surrounding the Academy, he remembered not long ago when this whole place had been rebuilt from the bottom up, though he remembered something vague about it being his fault but skipped on it anyway. As he walked over in the full Shinobi attire that was well known for being worn by those members of the Main Branch. Taking his position beside a blackboard he put his backpack down and begun pulling things out of it. He looked at the bag and pulled out a few simple things right now, everything for this examination was about preparation.

First off came seven blue headbands, nothing written on them just the color of them was a deep rich blue color as it was clear that they were meant to be used by the students. Next out of his back came another set of seven headbands though these ones were red instead of blue, it seemed that the students would have a few choices to make when they joined this exam. But what was the right choice? well, that was not for him to say and for them all to find out.

Grabbing the normal pointer stick that was on the board he walked over to a good ten feet away and begun to draw lines into the dirt of the stand, what eventually would come was a 9 square board of sorts into the dust, deep drag marks meaning that it stood out clearly for the students that would be turning up. Turning himself back around he walked back to the board and watches as a few of the Academy helpers came over to him wanting to make sure they had followed his instructions down to the letter.

"Did you bring them as instructed?"

"Yes Lord Forth, we have nine of the fluffiest bunnies we could find and have placed them into the cages where would you like them?"

"Put each one of them onto one of the squares as required please"

Nodding the group put a cage down on each of the squares, it was clear right now that the exam was to be able to prove people from the start, and prove them it would. As he smiled to himself nodding at the setup being completed he turned to the familiar old friend that he called a blackboard as he brought the chalk up to write against it.

Genin Examination

Time:
24 Hours

Method: Practical

Rules:

1. No speaking once you arrive unless spoken to.
2. Failure to follow out the rules will result in the automatic fail of the exam
3. If you are late you automatically fail

Turning back to the map that had been created he gently tapped his chin before turning back to the board and begun writing once more.

Task:

Upon arrival, students must select one color headband (maintaining an even number of blue and red), from this they then must go and select one of the squares and stand in front of it, this is your new friend and he will be your buddy. Feel free to name him, wait until further instructions have been given, and no talking to other students when they arrive.

[This is a GENIN EXAM, if you post on this topic you are submitting yourself for the examination, meaning you are now under exam conditions]
[I am expecting 50% to pass this exam, prove me wrong]

Shun was far too excited to get to the exam. He had been training himself for this, day in and day out. He wanted to be completely sure he was ready before hopping on the upgrade system. The day had finally come, and he wasn't about to ruin it by being late. He packed a few extra lunches just as a kind thought, having gotten used to having spare for his friends in case they forgot or didn't have anything to bring.

Shun showed up at the exam grounds, raising a hand to wave at the previous Hokage with a bright smile. He walked up to the board to read across the rules, happy to see that he had already passed one of the tests: being on time. Seeing as he was the first one to arrive, Shun got the right to pick his own color at the start. Everyone from there would be forced to pick the alternating color, or at least to keep it even. He decided to pick up a blue headband, wrapping it around his head for all others to see as they arrived.

He then took in the squares of rabbits, his interest piqued. Why in the world would they bring rabbits into this? They don't hold much strength, and I doubt they would teach us a contract at a Genin exam...

Then it clicked. The rabbits were a distraction, surely. All the kids would love to pet a soft little bunny, and they wouldn't be paying attention to the actual layout and rules of this task. It was a game of sorts. What game has nine squares...alternating colors...more like alternating turns...

Shun walked himself over to the bottom left corner of the board. This would give anyone with a blue headband an advantage, if that was the purpose of the game. He knelt down next to the cage, smiling and waving at the rabbit as he kept himself silent. Now he just had to figure one last thing out...

He couldn't speak, and he didn't know a lot of jutsu to aid him in this little communication game. Maybe there was something else he could do to get the attention of those who picked up a blue headband...preferably without alarming those with the red headband.

Shun pulled out a satchel of berries he had brought along, feeding a few to his rabbit friend. He kept himself aware of more students joining, deciding to try and warn the next student to grab a blue headband about the game they were playing without using his words.

After the red headband took their position on the board, Shun would toss a few berries towards the next position he would suggest his teammate go to. If the next student chooses the center, toss the berries to a square next to me. If they choose a different square, toss to the center.

Daisuke had been waiting for this moment for a while now, it was finally time to take the Genin exam. His morning had been nothing particularly special, his routine was one of swift readiness – it didn’t take the boy long to finish his breakfast, gather his belongings, and then head out towards the academy. The journey would not take any more or any less time than it had done the previous day, or the day before that, Daisuke was not in a rush to arrive at the academy for he knew he would be relatively early as always. It was vital for him that he did not use up too much energy without first knowing what his examination would consist of; conservation would be key as always.

The Minamoto boy arrived at the academy shortly after departing, by now he had figured out the most time efficient route from his home to the centre of his education. Upon arrival he saw the scene of preparation set out. The blackboard, the cages with fluffy inhabitants, the headbands, and the square grid – an interesting set of variables for the mind of the student to comprehend. He pondered for but a moment before bowing deeply in formal greeting towards Lord Takeshi, but he did not speak. His eyes once more glanced over towards the blackboard and read through the instructions, he nodded in understanding before making his way over to select a headband. Two options stood before the boy, one blue and the other red. Almost instantly his hand reached to take one of the deep blue headbands, this was not simply an impulse however, the boy knew that out of the colours available a dark blue would blend in far better to the environment than any colour of red would. After all, deep blue was often used by shinobi in their general attire and served well as a general camouflage in darker areas. However it was also important that he keep things even, he turned to look at the other student whom had arrived already wearing a blue headband. He paused and took a breath before swapping his original choice for a red headband - if he had to rely on the colour of a headband rather than his own skills then he would have already failed.

Daisuke turned and made his way towards the grid, again he did not particularly seem to visibly ponder the selection as he made his way to the front left square. As he made his way towards his desired position, the boy made sure to make a mental note of what details he could about the other squares and their occupants. Though soon he had arrived in his spot. The student crouched down to inspect the inhabitants of his designated cage, he was met with a ball of fluff – as expected, though he did take several more moments to properly study the rabbit within. It was imperative to the boy that he was fully aware of all the details of his new ‘friend’ that were possible to commit to memory. They clearly had a role to play in the examination and as such the Minamoto boy needed to properly prepare his mind and thoroughly familiarise himself with the creature. After Daisuke had inspected as much as he possibly could regarding the rabbit, he stood up straight, moved to the front, and turned to face forwards. He was as ready as he could be in that moment, and now all he needed to do was to await further instructions.

If there were ever a time to take things seriously, it was now.

An exam was starting and he should and couldn't be late. He started to rush his usual morning routine till the point that he was happy and on time. Yet something caught his eye, even when he hurried, he still wasn't the first one to arrive on the scene. he would tilt his head and look towards the others and then his eyes followed to the Sennin. He gave a small bow out of respect and he recognized him in an instant. This time he didn't wear a bandage over his marks, but two band-aids to cover them up. Feeling a little bit more comfortable with them these days.

'Upon arrival, students must select one color headband (maintaining an even number of blue and red), from this they then must go and select one of the squares and stand in front of it, this is your new friend and he will be your buddy. Feel free to name him, wait until further instructions have been given, and no talking to other students when they arrive.' He read in his head and started to look at the other two, one had a red one, the other had a blue one... seeming that they already had to make the rules in abiding.

Slowly he nodded towards himself and started to walk towards the blue headband, grabbing one and looking towards Shun. He was quick to notice what the other had been doing. He would walk towards the middle, pick up the berries and he did pop one of them in his mouth. Breakfast... The other three he would keep in his hand.

Looking over this whole scene... he would start to toss the berries for the next blue headband towards the bottle right corner, bottom middle and one to the middle left. He would look towards Shun who was bottom left so far. Nodding and dreaming a bit back towards the breakfast.

Today was different. Za was in a newer set of clothes. Within the Hyuga estate there were clothes and such that had no markings of the Hyuuga Clan but were for their helpers and such, with it being empty Za would take his time fitting himself into the things they he would want for himself. Za was on a roll, especially after taking a nice warm bath in the Snake Lady's Hot spring and filling his belly with food the day or so before. Za had even looked into the Hyuuga estate with Nobu, this seemed to be the beginning of the things that would turn around for him, and a slew of others. They were starting something new... different. A Family for those without family. To fight for the-... Well, the world would know soon enough... but in order for their dreams and aspirations to come to fruition they had to abide by the rules and laws of the land.

'An Exam...' Za had spent the last few weeks with Nobu working on his jutsu, even learning handsigns and some useful things, for the exam to be. Nobu had a different exam he was setting up for but Za... He had something soon. There were some others he knew might be there, his new friend Shion, the 'mute' that spoke only in Sushi Meats Or some demonic catalog of things. Maybe the berry boy? Who knew, but there was something else going on here...

On this day, Zatoru was not late, arriving shortly after Shion had grabbed his headband, the boy would find himself going over to the chalkboard and reading it thoroughly before tapping his chin and looking at the man there. HIs Aura was much like the Snake Lady's... but heavier. It wasng suppressive or oppressive... it was something dully overwhelming and with the Training Nobu was doing recently, he could tell there was alot more than what he felt on the surface.

'No Talking under any circumstances, okay... Headband. Square. Animal. Ok. Stand infront of the square of choice? How does one stand in the middle?' Thinking to himself for a moment, you had to think about these exams... they were tricky, because of how things are always worded. Za had read many books... and he would work his way through different scenarios as many characters within the fables tended to do. However, there wasnt many things that he would enjoy other than a tricky situation. Za actually was getting excited at the idea of the gain to pass this exam... but looking at the others, Shun, Shion and a blonde haired boy who looked odd, he thought it might be fair game. Two people here might fail. Hell three might fail. They all could fail, but the idea and object wasnt to get wrapped up in that...

It was to figure out how to stay in the longest while not showing all of your cards.

At any rate... Za found himself taking the red headband like the blonde before him had taken and moved himself to the top right corner square before he would stand before the bunny within the cage and nod without picking it up but merely examining the bunny, its colors, ears and body in comparison to the others, they all seemed quite fluffy, but maybe this would be something he could manage... Right now there were four students here, nine spaces to fill and maybe four more headbands to choose from? Za didnt pay attention to that notion, maybe he shouldve... but alas.

So here he was...

'And here... We... Go.'

Sumiko was unusually running late, she normally prided herself in being punctual but she had not been feeling herself of late, she thought that it might have just been due to her sudden change of circumstances however though the cause was a mystery the effect was very much real. She run through the street of the village her feet carrying her towards the academy where the exam was taking place, lucky she could see to that it was being held outside so she didn’t have to try navigating the halls.

She approached the group and noticed that they were silent so she decided to follow suit, the man that was with them matched or of the faces carved into the cliffs, by process of elimination she guessed that he was Uchiha Takeshi, former Lord Fourth, she bowed to show respect before looking over at the other, they were all wearing different coloured headbands ands standing in different location on a grid that was outline in chalk on the ground, looking around she saw a board with writing on it giving them the instruction on what they needed to do, reading over the words careful making sure that she understood them clearly. Sumiko looked around at the other items that dotted the grounds, there was a pile of different coloured headband and next to each of the student in the gird there was a rabbit in a cage, picking up the red headband she walked towards the top centre of the board before crouching down to pet the rabbit through the bars. If they were playing the childhood game of tick-tack-toe she was almost sure that she had just secured the win for the red team.

Takeshi stood there as he checked his watch as people arrived one by one, taking a headband and standing into one of the squares. It was clear that as each one of them was arriving they were slowly getting the hang of the fact that he was playing a game with them. This was something he wondered how many of them would be able to pick up on but seemed they didn't miss a beat and got straight to work. With the last girl joining just before time was running out of people to turn up he watched her complete a three-line of reds and seem to seal the deal for the red team to win, a small smirk crossed his lips as he looked at all of the students.

"Well, that seems like all of you now as the time limit is offered, so with that being all said and done congratulations to the red team for entertaining me for no reason at all. But hey at least you managed to communicate a win without speaking so I do give you full credit on that front for the effort you have had to put into the thinking behind this."

He wandered in front of the square that was keeping the students in it as he looked down to the other cages that sat empty, without hesitation he brought the weapon out of its holster and squeezed the trigger with precision and raid successions. What used to be bunnies and cages to hold them in was now just a crater with smoke coming from it, the gore and what remained of the bunnies sprinkled around the students leaving the ground dirty and messy. He put the weapon away and smiled to each of them before continuing his train of thought.

"Simply put we now have two teams, straight forward, Red Team and Blue Team. Each of you has a bunny and carrier in front of you. Basically, your mission is a simple one, evade capture, no food or water is allowed to be consumed other than what is inside that cage you hold. So yes feel free to eat the bunny, as your task will start for 24 hours, both teams here have 1-hour head start to hide, I expect not to find you, go where ever you want, but you must carry the bunny and cage around with you. Failure to do so is an automatic fail. Fail to stay as a team is an automatic fail. Being captured is an automatic fail. I see you get the point. Hide, don't get found, eat the bunny if you want. 24 hours to stay away from me, and your time will completely start now."

Takeshi allowed himself to check his watch as he looked towards the student knowing full well that they now had to work as a team, hide and stay safe for the next 24 hours. That was the rules, simple and yet challenging. It would come down to how well they worked as a team, and what they did to survive. He pondered for a few moments before going to grab a chair, knowing that they would be spreading out throughout the Village.

Kana was a little sneaky one. She slipped in and nagged herself a blue headband, noticing the rules that were laid out and bam! She was caught by surprise as some of the bunnies turned to red paste. She covered her mouth, she feels as if that was a sickening thing. But she took a breathe and listened to the Fourth.

To fail means they leave the bunny and the cage, fail if we decide to go about on our on, and fail if we get caught. Hm... Not found, but caught...

She grabbed the others who had blue had bands and dragged them away far enough away to show them her one and only ace. Her Byakugan activated.

Shun immediately shot up upon hearing the rounds fired at the other rabbits, growing sick at the sight of the scattered remains but not being able to think on it too long as the teacher began talking again. When they were given their start time, Shun took off his headband and threaded it through the top of the cage to make it easier to carry, grabbing the last arriving student's rabbit cage as she started to lead them away.

His eyes widened upon seeing her eyes change, though he didn't know anything of her clan so he didn't exactly know what it meant. All he knew was that he was intrigued.

Shun lead them towards a different part of the Inner Village, a little district full of buildings and shops that would provide plenty of cover.

Daisuke simply watched as each of his fellow students arrived at the academy, one by one taking their headbands and then their places amongst the board. Each one seemed to pick reasonably tactically, Daisuke could see why but wasn't quite certain that this choice of examination layout was to test of a group of students could play a child's game of strategy. Though he did not dwell on that too thoroughly, instead he took his time to scan each new arrival and take a mental note of their chakra signatures. It was a bit of a rudimental study but it may come in handy, he made sure not to forget the examiner too. He had heard stories of the practical examinations of the past, and he wasn't about to ignore the presence of the Fourth Hokage. By now Daisuke was at least somewhat familiar with the feeling of Takeshi's presence - but there was no time like the present to brush up on his knowledge.

The sudden burst of rabbit innards did catch the Minamoto boy slightly off guard, but he too a breath to keep himself composed, only moving to shield the corner of his eye from any bunny-chunks that may have been headed in his direction. When that moment had passed, he simply listened to the further instructions. Hiding seemed to be something that suited the student, to say he was pleased with the assignment would be an accurate statement; Daisuke didn't make that clear with his expression though, it was best to stay as unreadable as possible. He glanced to his right, looking over his teammates, with any luck they would have some useful tools to evade capture. There was also some hope that his companions for this examination would have some way of communicating non-verbally, the rules were still there and Daisuke wasn't going to gamble on speaking - if it was acceptable then they would have been instructed as such.

Daisuke watched on as the other group began to move off. He thought for a moment as they went before bringing his hands together and began condensing the air around the academy. Hopefully the chakra-laced mist would provide a suitable cover for he and his companions to begin their mission, even if someone could see chakra this would provide at least some obscurement for the students. The Minamoto boy was not finished though Three silhouettes gradually formed from the water droplets and swiftly shifted into identical copies of Daisuke, two of the clones shifted further as they began weaving handseals of their own to transform themselves into copies of Daisuke's teammates. There was now two of each shinobi-in-training present in the mist-obscured courtyard. With this, Daisuke moved to grab his cage and rabbit with it before keeping in close proximity to his fellow students to lead them through the mist and out of the academy grounds. The clones ran out in the opposite direction to the red team, but the group still needed to decide where to go. An hour may have seemed like quite a while to prepare, but Daisuke knew they needed to make the most of it.

The boy was confident in his ability to remain reasonably concealed; as they ran, he began to drop back and allow either of his two companions to take the lead. If they chose a destination they were comfortable with then Daisuke would be happy that the team was in a relatively good position. Hopefully the group would be able to synergise and provide at least a hint of a challenge to the former Hokage. If there was one thing Daisuke knew, it was that he had to trust his team.

Za would smirk as Takeshi would speak, a small victory would be hailed but not because of himself they had to work as a unit, without talking in order to make it out alive. Maybe this was training for the future, because Za knew that with everything that was ahead of him and Nobu, and their growing clan, they would have to watch out for one another. As such, Za didnt want to be the one that was slacking off and holding everyone back because of his lack of gain when it came to training and growing. Though it didnt matter at all to be honest, there was somethings that he would have to wait for his body to catch up with his brain on. So, with that he would look to Sumiko and the unknown unnamed blond before him before looking back to Sumiko with a nod. They had a place to go where no one would be able to find them to be honest...

So as Daisuke would call the mist to the scene, Za would wonder if he had some secret techniques that he would have to look out for, Za'd grab his rabbit and would jet alongside Sumiko to the one place they would be safe from finding the former Hokage. Though this would definitely be something that they would have to tread lightly with. Shion was apart of the clique. He might turn up there as well, but Sumiko and Za were leading this by the looks of it. As they would march out of the area, Za would continue to prevent from speaking. Keeping the rabbit tucked under one arm within the cage but he would never say a peep. This was something that he was instructed to do, and maybe there was something nefarious going on with the cages, the bunny, or the headbands. Who knew, but he didnt want to risk it until he could be sure...

Sumiko smiled at the unfamiliar boy first and then Za, she was pleased to have chosen the Red Team if meant being able to work with him again and listened to Takeshi speak making a mental note of his instruction after he was finished she picked up the cased animal and looked at it, it wasn't going to make much of a meal but then again they would need water more the food but for the next 24 hours they weren't in any real danger but the hunger and the thrust would affect their judgment. The girl watched as the other two members of her team left before she swiftly followed suit.

Takeshi stood there in the exam field, it seemed that he was going to give them a headstart, or was he really was the question that he was going to be asking. As he heard the clattering that was around him in the Academy he knew full well that the ones he had summoned had arrived, spinning on his heel he looked at the group fo three that had arrived, a smile on his face as he looked to each of them. It was clear that Takeshi had been expecting them, looking down to the girl that was with them this would be perfect, a former ANBU Sennin it seemed like she had been gone too long, but this exam was the perfect time to get her back into the swing of things.

"Ah you all turned up, thanks for that I have a little task of each of you and this one is a simple hunt and capture task, its something quite easy."

"Who are we hunting this time Uchiha?"

"This could be interesting, it been a while since you let me out in the open are you sure about this?"

"Well I guess it shouldn't be too hard considering my skills"

"Good, there are two teams, I don't care how you hunt, or what way you hunt, I just want to make sure you do this as ordered, first group should have red headbands, second will have blue. Go get them for me, or call me in if you need help, make it hard for them to escape."

It seemed that the others who had been summoned had already got the intention and instantly vanished from the site of the Main Branch Sennin. As he took his seat back in the chair he allowed himself to grab the book once more and begun to read.

Moving back from the Oak streets... He found himself having cooled down a little at least but still didn't talk to any of them at this point, there wasn't anything to say really... He would be sitting down on the original rabbit spot he had taken. The cage he placed in front of him, releasing the transformation jutsu and the cage was there in front of him once more.

Shun appeared not long after Shion, standing in his previous square and pulling the cage out of his bag, releasing the jutsu on it to let it take the original form. He tossed the rabbit skin that contained a little water into the cage and sat down on top of the metal framing, letting out a sigh. He eyed the rest of the students as they made their way back, however long the interval between would be.

Shun took this time of silence and waiting to think over the actions the team made. He realized he wouldn't be the best team leader; leave that to the professionals. Shun knew he got too emotional about his teammates and abandonment; that was a self reflection he would need to do later.

His life had been so peaceful up til now that he never realized the little things that would set him off. Shun needed to clear his head and really think things through if he wanted to survive in this world.

Kana had walked in, he own hair was cut to more tomboy way, to her neck, as a preparation to not look who she was at the start of the exam, though that kind of went out the window when they were found anyway.

She thought of how stupid she was to try and do the things she does. She thought her usual mischievous way of thinking would be of good use, though it seemed that was not the case today. It seemed to take more grit and actual skills to stay hidden among a whole Village.

Kana set her cage and head band down in front of her, her own thoughts to run around in her mind. She should probably apologize to her teammates after this whole mess is done and over with.

Maybe she was overthinking everything, of how everything needed an outside the box kind of answer. She would definitely need to rethink future strategies for anything later on...

It didn’t take much longer for the red team to gradually become present, Daisuke found himself rather at peace as he strode back through the village and towards the academy grounds. He didn’t particularly expect anything specific to happen, and in all honesty, he wasn’t too sure that the exam was over – he didn’t want to underestimate whatever it was they may have to face next, if anything.

Upon entering through the gates to the courtyard, Daisuke couldn’t help but to scan over the other figures that had arrived before him. It seemed that the blue team had been waiting, but he didn’t know for how long. The Minamoto boy’s mind pondered on how their exam may have gone, if it was anything similar to what he and his companions had experienced then it would have been challenging to say the least. Judging by their facial expressions something seemed to be bothering one or more of them, their cages seemed to be relatively devoid of life too. Daisuke glanced down at the rabbit that still occupied his cage, a lucky thing it seemed.

The blonde boy was calm and expressionless as he moved further into the compound, it seemed fitting for him to return to the point at which he had started the exam, and so he did so. But as he stood there, still and silent, he did not release his grip on the cage in his hands. Now it was a waiting game, only time would tell what would happen next, but even at what seemed to be the end of an exam; Daisuke did not let his guard down.

Za would follow in with Daisuke with Sumiko next to him frowning at the thought of everything that had transpired. This would be an associative idea that would follow Za for the remainder of his life. To be able to say he would never leave a comrade alone, or behind would be the stepping stone to his ideals as a human being. what was left of the humanity in his heart, but alas, they arrived looking at the other group Za would ponder...

'Hm, how did they do? Did they win?' Za didnt know but he had two caged in tow... and he tried to complete the mission as best as possible...

Was it enough?

Although Sumiko was the one walking her body back to the academy it was still a long journey as she fought against the armour with every step that it made her take, it eventually came to a stop. Looking around she could see that the other team was already there, had they beaten the test or had they run into a similar situation to they had, she tried to read their faces but she couldn't focus while this thing had a hold of her body.
"Can you let me go now?" She asked the armour hoping that now it had returned her to Takeshi it would free her from its grasp.

Takeshi stood there as he waited for each of the students to return from their locations. It was funny but it was times like these that he found himself thinking back to what life had been like for himself. Even he had to admit that he missed the days inside of the Academy, the graduation part itself. It was all something that he still would love to relive, and even now he would give it all back to go back to study, but where he had come from he knew full well that his goals, his dreams had all been achieved by working hard inside of the village. As the last team came back he looked to the group noticing one of them was wearing a suit of armor, he sighed to himself and beckoned for it to vanish, in a cloud of smoke around Sumiko the suit of armor was gone, it seemed to enjoy the trip out but there was a time and place for that. Right here wasn't it.

"Well you all came back alive, so I think that deserves congratulations first of all, as at least you survived, considering one group was caught by animals and the other group tried to start a fight with a Sennin. I mean it's quite amazing that none of you are actually dead. I mean I can see missing rabbits from a few cages but other than that most of you seem to be intact."

Takeshi walked over to the desk as he looked at the small table that he had got prepared, pulling the cloth from it to reveal the very well-known Leaf Shinobi headbands, each one of them glistening in the sunlight around the group. As he turned back to each of them a clipboard in his hand and empty passports as well as he looked down the list of names, shaking his head slightly as he paused at a few names. It was clear some of them had made mistakes from the list his eyes were reading.

"Right, when I read your name out, come get your headband, and report to the Sennin offices for my assistance to fill you into the records as an active Shinobi, no questions asked. Once we are done here that is it, the exam is over."

Going to the table he grabbed a headband and slid a passport from out of his fingers this was it, the moment the exam had got to. Each student had tried their best and he knew full well that right now they were probably excited, nervous all emotions a teenager had at that point.

"Hyuuga Kana, your actions have received you the promotion to the rank of Gennin, come collect your headband"

Once he had given it to the new Gennin he would read the next name, this was continued for the group making sure each one that he read out collected what they needed with their exam results.

"Shion Yoshino, you have achieved promotion to the rank of Gennin, come collect your headband"

"Ashikawa Shun, you have achieved promotion to the rank of Gennin, come collect your headband"

"Minamoto Daisuke, you have achieved promotion to the rank of Gennin, come collect your headband"

"Zatoru, you have achieved promotion to the rank of Gennin, come collect your headband"

"Yasuda Sumiko, you have achieved promotion to the rank of Gennin, come collect your headband"

With the names readout, the headbands gave out to all those that passed the exam he looked to the group and smiled, turning away he walked towards the exit of the Academy before stopping and turning back around to the group to address them one last time.

"The point of the exam was never to succeed let's be honest, you couldn't have. The point of the exam was when in the tightest spot, everything against you, certain defeat to still stand strong with your teammates and not abandon them. Abandoning your ally to save your own skin would have seen you fail. You have done the Academy and Leaf proud today, expect your mission assignments to arrive within a few weeks good luck in the real world to each of you."

With that Takeshi vanished from the Academy finishing the exam with each of the new Gennin having the headband inside of their hands.
