Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The road was long, but finally they left the Stone Country. The paths were numerous from this point on. They could head through the Fire Country, a place known to be dangerous to any shinobi at this time. A warlord had decided that all shinobi were enemies within the country and banished them, well tried to kill them but close enough. So..going that way was out of the question, at least that was the information told to her. They could travel through the wind country? It was friendly enough, if you didn't mind the possibility of being attacked by shinobi from that country. Sara wasn't to sure about the current circumstantial diplomatic relations with the wind country, but she did know one thing. The Wind country was a desert. Sand, hot, more sand, still hotter, and then even more of both. That was except during the night, when every manner of creature came out, and the area turned cold.

Cold, please. If she had known what she would in a few weeks, she would have been quite alright with taking a a shot at that type of cold.

She was pretty sure they were on friendly terms, but no reason to poke a bear as it were. So that lead them to the Grass country, Rain, and Iron. Smaller countries that bordered the larger ones mentioned before. Not the most peaceful places, at times, but friendly enough. Places that would be interesting to see, and fun. Mountains, grassy mountains; bamboo forests, wetlands, small towns, trading posts, swamps, and the occasional open gassy fields. New places, and newer sights to behold. Sara was looking forward to this trip immensely.

The run through those places she had never seen was short. Jomei was on a mission, and in a hurry to bypass them quickly. She had the opportunity to see some stuff but it was one of those times of, 'Look, a deer in a meadow', then two seconds later, 'okay time to go.' With a shove to the back for all purposes. A portion of the time was spent running, though for a short while they did get a ride on a cargo carriage during the night, then quickly leaped in the morning. The few times they did stop were in towns, where Jomei would gathers information or study and regain some supplies were the few moments of calm she could enjoy. At those times she would go off on a 'Mission for intel' and just go into the forests or what not and look around. She would also look around the village, and see the different foods, clothing, and fun things they did. A few times she would join some kids in a park to play some random game of tag or some sport like thing they were doing. She enjoyed her short sabbatical of acting her age.

Just shy of sunset the groups would disperse and she would go to some shop she passed by and pick up something to eat and pack for later on. Thus, how she ended up with those packages of jerky. She had to keep the look that she was actually doing something. She was pretty sure Jomei might have suspected but he never said anything.

Perhaps it was luck, but those packages of jerky were her savior in the end. They tasted something like grass and what she only imagined to be foot or skin. It wasn't the best tasting in the world, at least most of them. Some were smoked and that wasn't bad, others spicy. At least it wasn't boring.

The entrance and exits of countries on this end were almost invisible. Sara usually didn't know the end of one or the beginning of another till 2 days in. That was up until they came to the edge of the water country. It felt like a slap in the face. One moment it was warm, the next it was like someone ran ice down her back. She..wasn't dressed for the occassion. Fortunately she listened to Jomei's warnings about grabbing some "Frozen" Mist Country gear before leaving the last town. She thought the idea was ridiculous, given how warm it felt. It was remarkable how sudden the change was. And it was only getting worse every hour they ventured forward. Soon enough trees leaves turned colorful, it was a sight to behold. Every color imaginable, purples, reds, yellows, greens though few, and several others. For miles! Miles! She wondered if it was always like that, and would look forward to passing through the area again, for it would be a sign that she was out of the iceland she was about to hit.

The snow..it felt different here. She had seen snow of course, in the mountains of Iwagakure, and in the highlands within the country, but still. Something "felt" different. She wouldn't be able to put her finger on it for several days until they ventured deep enough for it to surround and drown the two of them. But, it was still a sight to see. A frozen tundra, like a giant glacier that stretched further then she could imagine. It wasn't so, but soon enough, the passed of the water country would be forgotten, the times of it's water features lost in time, and it would take on that picture.

The endless white was beyond imagination. As if paper, it seemed fitting and ready for creations to be placed upon it. It was a blank canvas, that was how she saw it, and it amazed her that no one lived in the area. Even if it was freezing, it was open land. Sara just couldn't wrap her mind around the idea that this place was always frozen, year round. Even the boundary, as she saw it, when the trees ended, was void of any towns that she could see. No reason was apparent to her, but chances are Jomei knew something she didn't. Something was stopping towns from being around, but Sara couldn't think of a reason, just that it was odd. No one for miles, and miles and miles. No form of life either from what she could see. The sloshing through the snow was annoying, and she let Jomei know of the fact constantly. CONSTANTLY. No more then 15 minuets at a time passed that she didn't complain or try to get Jomei to keep her entertained in some manner. He was accepting of the idea at first, and sure being young helped, but Sara was at the age where it almost seemed natural to be skillful at being annoying beyond belief. The "are we almost there yet", and "Road" games were enough to drive anyone mad that wasn't young and profoundly energetic. Though, she would have to admit, that the walking slowed her energy down slightly, thus the 15 minuets those few times of silence.

The temperature would drop, signalling night. A much needed tell tale sign, as it was impossible to tell the time of day. Another nuance. Time, it seemed infinite and indefinable at times. The night and day were the only methods of time. It brought sanity to the insane, but still, it wasn't a welcomed point. The nights were colder, windier, and darker then dark. The day allowed for sight to be had, but it still felt cold, especially when warmth was sparse at night. And at times, it was even hard to see during the day. Along with this, distance was hard to determine. Miles, feet, foot prints hard to see and distinguish, sometimes filling in from the wind. One could look forward, back, left and right and think they were stationary. So very few signs of location to be had. They could have been going in circles for all she knew.

Jomei had a plan of action for this though. A rather plan and simple one, but still something she was unfamiliar with. A compass. Along with a book that held information about the area. Sara wasn't sure how he came about this book, but he held it closely. It was important to him, and given what it held, important to her survival. Though, perhaps it was a double edged sword, after all, it dragged her out here.

So Jomei was the lead in this troupe, and she was..she was...the muscle? Unlikely, Jomei was decently strong. Guess she was just tagging along. Maybe she would be able to provide some minor medical needs? Or just to make sure he was kept on track. Eitherway, it landed her here, in this new place, within the vast world that she wanted to see. Perhaps that too she would come to regret.
