She would always look for him...
He was not in his usual places: the tower had been reduced to rubble, he was not waiting at her bedside when her days were no longer a blur. The obsidian palace and the foundation complex were next on her list. She felt that she had a greater chance of accosting her cousin for his absence here than among the dregs or even the marketplace. Neither of those places seemed to fit his fancy, in fact this place was an unlikely location as well but considering the turmoil, it was possible that someone with deep enough pockets was even able to purchase a Kazekage. That was her hope upon hope, that he was not dead just disappointingly shallow and bought.
She bagged on doors, listened by open windows... tried to hear something that resembled Sousuke. She found a washer-drier that sounded like Sousuke running when it was on the spin cycle, that was until her sonar gave her a clear picture. Last she checked he was not a stack of square boxes. She broken into a few houses that were too well insulated to suit her sense of sound. She was assaulted by a few of those families for her intrusion by what she could only describe as a man-tree. She tried to describe him the best a blind-woman could, often forgetting that the Kazekage probably had the most recognized face in the village. But nobody admitted to seeing him, some told her that he was a traitor among other choice words in fact. She broke off his door and took it with her for several blocks before her arm got tired and she rested the damage hunk of wood against a stone wall.
Sousuke was not here either...
He must be somewhere else...
