Riku gave a grunt as he worked on the pully, the newly made system had been set up by the crew soon after they had finished setting up the treehouse. They had taken to working at night, in hopes that the shinobi that constantly interfered with them would lose track of their efforts. It felt as though almost every day had been dedicated to working on the treehouse in some way or another. Once the platform reached to the top of the treehouse, Riku looked at the contents on it. The vast assortment of metallic gears had taken time to purchase, and transporting them here wasn’t much easier.
“Alright,” Riku shouted out,” They’re up here, Blinks.”
With a sigh, Riku grabbed hold of the platform and struggled to tip it to the side, spilling the heavy gears onto the treehouse floor. The weight of the gears reminded Riku of the distinct lack of weight at his pocket, he’d been saving up all the yen with Nitish for weeks now, and it was gone in a single day.
“You can start moving up chemistry gear!” Riku said, releasing the rope to let the platform drop.
He began to drag the gears into the treehouse interior, the larger gears having to be dragged across the wooden floor with a loud grind, leaving marks in the wood where they were pulled across. To prevent having to steal more tools, some of their yen had been dedicated to purchasing a small collection of tools. These tools hanged lazily across the walls of the treehouse.
“So, what I’m thinking,” Riku shouted out, walking over to grab one of the wrenches, “Is we set up the equipment, then work on that room you wanted.”
He examined the wrench with a grin, it was a cheaper thing, they didn’t have the yen to spare for the more durable looking ones. It would do just fine for assembling the equipment however, Riku thought to himself, patting the wrench on his open palm with a grin.
