Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

In the past, Minako was known as Ashikaga Ai, one of the greatest warriors to have existed in a faraway land years upon years ago. Ai was trained to be a deadly warrior from a young age by her father at the time, he was also known to be rather deadly and he was not the type of guy to joke around either, he even killed his own wife when she tried to harm Ai. Of course, Ai would stay loyal to her father because of this, and never really strayed from his side. Of course, this came with a few exceptions, but his word was her word until he passed away. Ai expected this to happen, and while she mourned over his death, she tried her best to not let this affect her.[lb2][/lb2]
During the funeral, she was approached by one of her best friends at the time, known as Akane. Akane wasn’t allowed to fight, and her father wanted Akane to be protected because of the upcoming rivalry between another family that seemed to have their soldiers fighting on the grounds. While Ai was hesitant about this due to her age and the fact that she couldn’t pair herself up like her father, she was encouraged to take it. There was a few factors that lead to this decision, Ai couldn’t live on her own, she could try, but without a job she would fail epically, she had no other known family members, who also died during battles and clashes and whatnot, also because she knew she would be taken care of by Akane and her family.[lb2][/lb2]

It was no surprise that when she got her new job, she was assigned by a captain who loved her and helped her like only a mother could, Ai didn’t really like her at first, merely because she couldn’t get over the fact that she acted like a mother, and her mother tried to kill her. While this was explained to the captain, the captain still tried to push on, and it only soured Ai’s opinion of her. If anything, the captain adored Ai’s fighting skills, and still praised her as much as she could, which helped the bond between them both, even if it was still pretty weak.[lb2][/lb2]

Over the years, while Ai battled on the battlefield for the sake of the family that hired her for such things, Akane found love… she told Ai this during a little sleepover that Akane was hosting, they were talking about love… Ai wasn’t sure how to answer any questions about love, but as soon as Ai spoke about them, Akane admitted she fell in love with one of the males from the other family that risen in tension with them. Ai was shocked, to say the least, and she struggled to comprehend such a thing, but in the end, Ai accepted their love and given Akane her blessing, simply because Ai couldn’t stop love, she would be a monster if she done that.[lb2][/lb2]

With this discovery, she agreed to guide Akane to her lover now and then, the both of them seemed to be happy together, even though Akane was from a different household from the male, they didn’t seem to care all that much, and Ai could accept that. The only thing she needed to do was perform her job after all, nothing else.[lb2][/lb2]

With all this training and with all the high regard she had been receiving, Ai was quickly put up for a promotion. It wasn’t a big promotion, but she was allowed to do more things when she wasn’t on guard duty for Akane’s sake. She felt like a warrior princess herself, even Akane said she looked like one, this would also be the time when Ai is given a nickname, her love for song, and her dedication for her job as a warrior was reason why she was given the nickname Siren. Ever since then, the people have called her Siren, except for Akane, who would still call her Ai during their little sleepovers.[lb2][/lb2]

A couple of months after the promotion, the hardships of Ai’s life continued with the captain to the point that a full scale brawl occurred, resulting in Ai almost killing her with her bare hands. While this was stopped, the master of the house stated that if she would do anything of the sort again then a demotion was in order. Ai understood this and went on with her work, which was getting more difficult now. She also had to perform gate duty now and various other things that she couldn’t do before she got her promotion.[lb2][/lb2]

The last few days of Ai’s life turned to that of tragedy, after gaining some special swords from the blacksmith upon recommendation from the both of them, Ai would feel special with one of them that Akane held, which she allowed Ai to touch during one of their special sleepovers, she immediately felt a bond with the sword, but that wasn’t to say it was hers, which was a shame. Akane stated that if anything happened to her and her lover, she could then keep the butterfly swords. Unfortunately, that day came sooner than expected, the lovers were caught and Akane was immediately disowned the moment she walked home. Ai was thrown in the dungeons and then punished by being whipped until blood trickled down her.[lb2][/lb2]

After a few more confrontations with her unconsciousness a few days later, she finally awoke properly thanks to having feces thrown on her by Akane. While Ai was confused as to why she was in so much pain, Akane’s father walked in and exiled her, she was to leave by dawn the next morning or she would get executed. Akane didn’t want this and tried to stop the exile from happening, but Ai decided on her own that she had to, Akane announced that she also had plans, and so they should meet up at their usual meet-up place, the shrine. That didn’t go according to plan though, the lovers committed seppuku and Ai arrived late to the party. This caused Ai to hear voices, and after hearing that them swords see her as a friend, she picked them up.[lb2][/lb2]

After a short time with the swords showing their connection to her, she was caught at the shrine and knocked unconscious, the next thing, was the end of her life. She was officially executed and her severed head was shown to the public, the civilians were shocked to say the least, and it gave them word that nobody was to mess with them, for even they will destroy their own warriors, the greatest ones at that.[lb2][/lb2]

Initially, Minako didn’t want to be involved with anything to do with ninjas, while her father did homeschool her on how to protect herself and simple shinobi tricks (like throwing kunai for example) she never really did bother using them. The typical bullies in the village never resorted to violence with her, and she merely brushed the name calling and that kind of stuff off anyway. Always has and always will, she was laid-back like that, with this, she has never been known for causing trouble, nor has she ever wanted to be known to cause trouble. What’s the point of it anyway?? It never got anyone into any good places anyway.[lb2][/lb2]

In fact, her laid back attitude is the reason why she signed up as a student, her father wanted her to join since he was a bit of a shinobi himself, he wanted to see his daughter fulfill the same type of tradition. While Minako shrugged it off and agreed, she never really thought it would put her in such annoying positions. While she did get accepted, she didn’t expect some of the village bullies to be accepted too, while she normally wouldn’t mind this, she did get quite worried incase they resolved to violence or the like. Nonetheless, she continued being an academy student with no issue at all. Ignoring all the name calling and the typical bullying antics pulled on her. Even when her tutor noticed this, they kept a close eye on her just incase, simply because she looked like she didn’t well and truly care.[lb2][/lb2]

During the years in the academy, she made friends, made enemies, practiced and of course, enhanced her life. She began to look forward to waking up every day to learn new things or to improve, and while keeping herself to herself, it was clear that she was becoming more accustomed to taking risks. She enjoyed the risk taking and she was starting to be sick of being in the safety of others. There were other things that she was starting to enjoy, she enjoyed eating out with friends, and even started to show a side to her that she never thought she would experience. This side was much happier, cheerful young girl, and one that didn’t really find anything boring at all. Her father also noted this change and he was delighted to know that the academy was also improving her social life, considering she never really had one going for her in the first place.[lb2][/lb2]

It was by the time she was in her early teens when she had to take her exam to become a genin. She already knew that she was probably not going to do well because there were still some stuff that she had to dabble on a bit more techniques wise, even then, it might not be what she would have expect at all![lb2][/lb2]

Fortunately, Minako was given her task accordingly. Surprisingly, the female was going to be given the exam by someone who she has never been taught by or has never even met before. Assuming this was part of the exam, she got herself to work and prepped for the exam the next day.[lb2][/lb2]

Minako was very fortunate, she passed the exam, but only barely. The exam giver thought that her movements were quite graceless, and that her fighting style was distasteful and uncreative to the point that any enemy could read her movements. While this dampered Minako’s young soul, she was glad that she passed, her journey as a genin began.[lb2][/lb2]

A few things have happened while she was a genin, and it has put her off with the idea of being a shinobi to be exact. Firstly, the bullies came to bite her in the butt, they decided to resort in violence this time, jealous (although Minako never really knew why they were jealous). Whatever happened, Minako woke up in hospital, with words that she entered into some sort of comatose state for a couple of weeks or so. While Minako managed to recover fully, it pulled her back from being a genin for a short while, and so it hindered her studies to an extent.[lb2][/lb2]

This didn’t stop Minako however, while she has been scarred thanks to the beating, she didn’t stop practicing the moment she was allowed to walk once more. She was dedicated, wanting to re-learn the stuff that she would have to learn again, trying to make her moves graceful and understanding that not everything will be a clean sweep.[lb2][/lb2]

During a check-up at the hospital a few months later, it was revealed as to why she was jumped on. It wasn’t the bullies that were jealous of her, it was her mother. Minako always knew that her father and mother divorced when she was around four years old. Apparently though, her mother was jealous that she couldn’t keep her daughter through custody and if she couldn’t have her daughter for herself, then nobody else would.[lb2][/lb2]

For now, Minako is keeping that bit a secret, unwilling to share or anything of the sort, why bother anyway? Everyone else has their own problems to attend to.[lb2][/lb2]

Down to Earth[lb][/lb]
While Minako is usually the way she is, she is also rather realistic with her approach, not usually thinking of the practical things first before she even dares thinking about malarky that may or may not even be possible.[lb2][/lb2]

Kind[lb][/lb]
Like with most people, Minako is quite the individual when it comes to being kind with people, she will always be willing to talk to others if they need a chat, sometimes even going as far as to not show off just how lazy she is.[lb2][/lb2]

Intelligent[lb][/lb]
Out of combat especially, or if she doesn’t want to fight, Minako will think of tactics or ways to gain the upper hand, or at least, to help her friends get the upper hand if they are the ones to fight. For example, she would prefer run up to someone and shove dirt in their eyes to gain any sort of upper hand, which can also seem pretty reckless. Not that it matters, as they both work hand in hand when it comes to Minako.[lb2][/lb2]

Alert[lb][/lb]
Don’t mistake Minako’s laziness as just pure laziness. It doesn’t stop Minako from being alert to her surroundings and it also doesn’t give her selective hearing either. Minako is well known for listening to sounds and things people shouldn’t really have to hear.[lb2][/lb2]

Protective[lb][/lb]
Also stemming from her past is her protective nature, Minako doesn’t want others to suffer worse, less or similar pain than she did. She doesn’t find it desirable, and while people can be tortured in a fun way, or use it for their… sick mannerisms, there are times when it's unacceptable, and that is the time when Minako will step in, no matter what her condition is.[/td]

Lazy[lb][/lb]
As already known by many people, Minako is the type to be extremely lazy. If she cannot be bothered, she cannot be bothered. Sometimes she can’t even be bothered to feel happiness, sadness or even excitement, which is strange because she isn’t emotionless or anything of the sort. While this laziness is improving, she still is kinda lazy at periods of time, and will most likely be noted by others.[lb2][/lb2]

Reckless[lb][/lb]
When it comes to Minako, recklessness and intelligence makes leaps and bounds. While she is intelligent, she is also known now and then for jumping into battle without any thoughts, although her intelligence can prove quite nicely in battle, it’s her tendency to not think of the consequences that fail her quite a lot. Or she would know of them, just not care.[lb2][/lb2]

Self Conscious[lb][/lb]
Especially when it comes to compliments or about her scars, Minako can feel quite uncomfortable, she doesn’t really feel right in her skin, and so covers most of her face and her mouth to hide that physicality, she believes that nobody deserves to see how she thinks of herself as a monster, although she hides this personality really well due to practice over the years.[lb2][/lb2]

Pessimistic[lb][/lb]
With her down to earth attitude comes with the fact that she's a bit of a pessimist. She will always think the worst of situations. This stems from the fact that she barely passed her exam in the academy, even though she was so confident in passing with flying colours.[lb2][/lb2]

Graceless[lb][/lb]
Minako is very graceless, she cannot move her body like she is a ballet dancer, in fact, she has the body movements like a robot most of the time and it doesn’t help that she’s quite tomboyish.

Minako loves to eat cake, it’s truly sweet and can make her rather happy and content, it’s even better if the cake is shared with someone, however, since nobody should eat cake by themselves, in Minako’s opinion it shouldn’t anyway.[lb2][/lb2]

Rain[lb][/lb]
Minako loves the rain, it can calm her down and make her forget about a lot of things. Walking in it can make her gain goosebumps, and can make her feel more herself.[lb2][/lb2]

Dancing[lb][/lb]
While Minako is lazy, if someone brings her up to a dance, she will dance with them, as long as they lead her on. In her words, she would prefer to “dance the night away” if a bad day has occurred.[lb2][/lb2]

Singing Going along with dancing, Minako also likes to sing, except people will hardly hear it, and this will be more willingly than dancing.[/td]

Minako has a bit of a grudge against her mother because of what she orchestrated with the bullies back when they were a bother to her.[lb2][/lb2]

Minako really hates being stared at, it makes her uncomfortable and icky, there have only been a few cases where she finds this acceptable, and that is during talking, because it’s polite to look to the one you are talking to.[lb2][/lb2]

Showing weakness[lb][/lb]
Minako really dislikes showing any sort of weakness, this stems from the fact that she knows if she shows her weakness and imperfections, then they could be potentially exploited and used to anyone's advantages.[lb2][/lb2]

The more people, the more chance people will stare at her.[lb2][/lb2]

Minako really hates her scars, she feels like a monster because of them and so conceals them.

While this is a rather savage dream, Minako wishes to kill off her mother, so she cannot hurt her or Yusuke anymore. She doesn’t want them both to live while knowing she can live happily with all her riches and with anyone to hurt her at the palm of her hand. That dream has kind of died down now, but it still sits there, burned into her brain.[/td]

A rather common fear, but Minako has this fear because she feels she hasn’t lived her life to the fullest yet. She would like to live her life at the highest peak and wants to feel complete before she feels she has no purpose anymore.[lb2][/lb2]

Minako doesn’t want more scars, she will only feel like more of a monster.[lb2][/lb2]

A person naturally gifted with their weapons are more skilled and stronger than others. Projectiles would hit with pinpoint accuracy, swords would be more capable of inflicting open wounds and hammers would strike harder than anyone's as long as they have their weapon.[lb2][/lb2]

This ability teaches where all the good spots to aim are. With this ability, you can more easily disable someone, make precise shots, and restrict movement. The 8 types of called shots are: Arms, Legs, Head, Hands, Feet, Neck, Heart, Weapon.[lb2][/lb2]

This ability allows you to defend more efficiently. With this ability you can reduce damage taken, block attacks, and tire your enemy out. [lb2][/lb2]

Stalker:
With peak agility and dexterity, the user is a master in the arts of stealth, whether it be used for assassination of a kage or simply to get a juicy peak inside the female Hot springs. Whichever the goal, one cannot deny the finesse of one able to sneak past Ninjas undetected.[lb2][/lb2]

Once every other round, the user may perform a Sneak Attack without being dropped out of stealth. When making a stealth check, Terrain and Visibility modifiers are treated one level higher in the users favor.[lb2][/lb2]

- This only applies when the user is making a stealth check; not when they are making an awareness check to detect someone.[lb][/lb]

Whether it be a fight or a race, these people will always take the chance to move ahead of time, before their opponents could even react. Gaining the advantage of surprise to those who would fall behind.[lb2][/lb2]

Titania and Oberon have been in Minako's hands for some time. They may not be anything special to anyone but her. These butterfly swords have a bit of history to them, but Minako is unaware of the hidden beauty inside the actual butterfly swords, for it speaks a story.[lb2][/lb2]

These butterfly swords once belonged to two lovers who were very happy with each other in a faraway land. Their love was secretive however, as there was a war going on between their families. To keep their love eternal, they both got butterfly swords each, and specially made for them. One was named Titania while the other was named Oberon, while the female kept Oberon and the male kept Titania. This way, they felt they could be together, even when they are apart and to not see each other for a few days.[lb2][/lb2]

Unfortunately, their happiness was soon discovered after the weapons were made, thanks to one of the family members watching them share an innocent kiss. This caused the two family members to disown their children, resulting in the both of them committing suicide via sepukku. Their deaths were reported with the both of them holding their hands and with a smile on their face.[lb2][/lb2]

Their legacy lives on, but only thanks to their wielder: Minako.[lb2][/lb2]

There was once a young girl who was basically enslaved, she was never happy due to the fact that her family were always a bit iffy with her. She never understood why, nor would she like to understand why. In reality, this is because her real father was dead, and her stepmother really hated her for her beauty. This never really came to reality though because she was always nice when her father was alive.[lb2][/lb2]

After every single day of her chores, the girl would like to practice using her bow and arrows on all sorts of targets in the backyard. This included tins, dummies and even wigs that her stepmother and her sisters would like to wear, them wigs were discarded however, and so she never got into trouble for them.[lb2][/lb2]

One night, while a dancing event was on, the female wasn’t allowed to go due to her sisters selfishness, that was until a family friend came by and saw the girl in such a state, that she helped her find some pretty nice clothes for the occasion and reminded the girl to take her bow and arrows with her, as there will be a competition on.[lb2][/lb2]

The girl was actually rather excited, and none of her family recognised her, even as she joined the archery competition and pinned out every bullseye that she could possibly go for. In the end, she won the competition and even gained the attention of a man… that was until she had to run off because her family were going to return home too, and left her quiver of bows by accident.[lb2][/lb2]

Needless to say, the male got in search with her and eventually made contact with her after failing every single time. That was when the two became hunting partners, and the girl left her miserable family behind.[lb2][/lb2]

Many honor-bound fighters will make sure that their opponent is ready and aware before beginning a fight. Not so with the Opportunist. A turned back is an open target for them, a chance they don’t dare pass up.
Effect: All the user's attacks have a 10% chance of being a Sneak Attack. All Sneak attacks gain +1 Critical and deal x2.5 damage upon a Critical hit; this does not stack with other critical damage modifiers.

Shadow Step<i></i> - Passive (2 points)
Embracing the shadows, opportunists are adept in the art of covert fighting. They remain hidden from their victims until the moment they strike and even then leave their victims wondering where the attacker came from...and where they went.
Effect: The user has a 30% chance at remaining in Stealth after performing a Sneak Attack. Once per round, the user may make a Sneak Attack without being dropped out of Stealth; this may only be done three times per battle.

Whenever an enemy misses a swing of the sword or a thrust of the fist, they overextend slightly and leave an opening. In this opening is the chance to strike back and change the course of battle.
Effect: Whenever the opponent misses a melee attack on the user (melee taijutsu included; they may only counter once per jutsu), the user may counterattack with their current equipped weapon dealing Basic Strike Damage at no cost. This has no limit.

Enhanced Counter<i></i> - Modification (2 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up, requires Deflection
While many skilled ninja can deflect attacks, only an Opportunist sees the opening that an enemy leaves and can take advantage of it. A ninja with this skill can catch and throw back projectiles at a surprising speed.
Effect: The Deflection ability now applies to Jutsu up to A rank, gains an additional +5% chance of activating, and no longer has an Accuracy penalty when using the special action. Additionally, If the special action is used upon an attack using Ranged accuracy successfully, the user is able to deflect it towards a different target at -3 Accuracy and 70% damage.

Sniper<i></i> - Modification (2 points)
Restriction- Requires Called Shot
When attacking an enemy by surprise, they cannot react, cannot cover their weaknesses. In that moment, it is extremely easy to hit vital areas. Taking advantage of this, an Opportunist can hit any chosen area with surprising ease.
Effect: When making called shots while in Stealth mode, The user suffers no accuracy penalty.

Crippling Strike<i></i> - Dependent Special Move (3 points)
Don't turn your back on an Opportunist. They'll only take advantage of it and hit you hard. Very hard. They don't care about fighting fair, and this technique is one of their most surprising to be caught in.
Effect: While in Stealth, the user may allow a Taijutsu to bypass Damage Reduction and Barriers. If performed against a clone, this has a 60% chance at dispelling the clone. This may only be done once per round.

Slippery Mind<i></i> - Passive (3 points)
As used to their own tricks as they are, it's very difficult to fool an Opportunist with other tricks and illusions. So, too, is it more difficult to put them under Genjutsu than the average ninja.
Effect: +2 to Genjutsu Save and awareness rolls.

Feint<i></i> - Dependent Special Move (2 points)
Sometimes a fast attack isn't always the best attack. An Opportunist can prime themselves to strike at exactly the right moment for maximum effect.
Effect: The user may add a stealth check to one of their melee attacks; if successful, it is treated as a Sneak Attack, otherwise it is used normally. This may only be done once per round successfully.

A true Opportunist can turn a life-threatening situation into a potential win with a simple movement. The risk involved is only part of the fun--and, of course, the deception.
Effect: The user gains +3 Dodge to the next attack aimed at them. Should they dodge, they may immediately strike the attacker at +1 Accuracy and +10% Damage. If they Are hit, they take +15% Damage and a partial hit is treated as full. Multi-hitting jutsu must inflict at least more the 50% of its maximum damage.

Quick Step<i></i> - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- Can be purchased up to three times
Opportunists have mastered the art of precision attacking, knowing just when and how to catch the opponent off-guard with their attacks. It is very difficult into tricking one with your movements, masters as they are in the art of it already.
Effect: +1 accuracy

Weapon Break - Passive (2 points)

Utilizing weapons against an Opportunist can be terrifying as each failed attempt to hit them only presents an opening and as such, Opportunists can continue to wait for the right moment to grab all those openings at once in an attempt to break the weapon in one go.

Effect: Each time an opponent misses the user with a Taijutsu-based attack the user's next Called Shot: Weapon against that target gains +2 Accuracy. This effect stacks up to three times and lasts until the user makes a Called Shot: Weapon.

Notes:
- Weapon Break's Accuracy Bonus effect only applies to the weapon which the user currently has equipped when it is applied. If the user ceases to be wielding that weapon for any reason (un-equip, drop or swaps weapons) then the effect is immediately lost.

Flash Counter<i></i> - Jutsu (1 point, 1 to rank up)
Restriction- A-Rank and Up
This jutsu is the ultimate counterattack; defensive and offensive at the same time, leaving no openings and at the same time exploiting all of the enemy’s openings. In the blink of an eye, the user can evade any attack and appear behind the enemy, attacking immediately with utter impunity.
Rank 1: The user automatically dodges the next attack directed at them and appears behind the attacker. The user may then strike with 4 Basic Strikes or attack with any E-D Taijutsu for .5 AP less. These attacks count as sneak attacks, and cannot be countered, detected, or auto-dodged.

A forbidden practice that can only be accomplished through a mutual bond between a shinobi and their weapon. Almost all shinobi use weapons of some sort, and many specialize into a specific kind or even a single weapon. Some even have been known to form such a bond with their weapon that their weapons seem to take on trait themselves. These are the few Shinobi that have bonded with their weapon to such a degree, that their weapons share much more than a portion of the user's spirit, and the two have been intertwined forever. The Kensei refers to the bond between the Weapon and the wielder, and at times the weapon itself. Weapons strengthened by sharing the user's soul are much more powerful than their soulless counterparts, and are much more than simply tools for fighting.

  • When obtained the user selects one Custom Weapon in their inventory to become their "signature weapon" via their Dojo thread.
    • The user's signature weapon gains +1 Augment Slot.
    • For the cost of 1 AP the user may rearrange the Accuracy/Damage modifiers of their signature weapon or swap a single augment for another augment they have in their inventory. This may only be done once per round.

While not truly alive in the conventional sense the signature weapon of Kensei typically develop facets of human personalities which allows the semi-sentient weapon to aid their partner in overcoming situations where their senses have been compromised. This unfortunately for the weapon's partner can sometimes be a double-edged sword as along with those facimilies of personality also occasionally comes a sense of ego that must be contended with.

Effect: User's signature weapon gains an independent sense of willpower. This grants it an independent Genjutsu Save statistic from the user's and allows it to use that Genjutsu Save to assist the user.
  • Signature weapon's Genjutsu Save is equal to the user's Genjutsu Save -5.
  • Any time an opponent targets the user with a Genjutsu they automatically target the user's signature weapon as well. If the signature weapon resists the opposing Genjutsu but the user fails then the user is automatically aware they are under a Genjutsu.
  • Once per round the user's signature weapon may attempt to dispel an opposing Genjutsu affecting the user costing the user 1 AP. This requires a Genjutsu Save against the opposing Genjutsu and if the signature weapon succeeds then the targeted Genjutsu is dispelled.

Due to the special bond that is developed, a Kensei will start becoming "one with the sword", in both a literal and a metaphorical sense. The Kensei is now able to flow from attack to attack, as if the sword was one with his body instead of just an extension of metal.

- The buff is only increased once for a Multi-Hitting Action, treating the action as if it were the same as a single strike attack.

After transforming, the weapon becomes much more powerful. Now what would happen if the user tried to drive that weapon through the stomach of their opponent? Sounds like a party! That's what this technique is, an attempt to drive the weapon, even if it's a blunt weapon , straight through the opponent. If it is a bow type weapon, then the user fires a much larger arrow aimed directly at the stomach and attached to a string. Then the user pulls out the weapon/arrow. The results are pretty deadly. The technique itself, however, is incredibly exhausting.

A Kensei's weapon is a fusion of both Taijutsu and Ninjutsu mastery creating the perfect storm of supernatural effects and martial might. It should come at no surprise that a Kensei is able to use their signature weapon to defeat the power of offensive techniques which are directed at them. Not so much an actual "technique" as it is simply throwing all of the combined force of their own power and the power of their signature weapon against an incoming attack, Kensei are able to simply overpower and diffuse offending attacks with their very determination.

As the Kensei weapon draws upon its soul-link with it's wielder and gains new, stronger abilities, so too does its limits to the skills being able to be performed. Once released into its upgraded form, the user and their weapon are able to perform new techniques unique to their bond. Taking many different shapes or forms, this technique is often a one-of-a-kind skill that cannot be replicated by any other shinobi, a unique mixture between Ninjutsu and Taijutsu. This makes recklessly challenging the wielder of a Kensei a dangerous decision, as one can never fully expect just what manner of techniques they are capable of unleashing.

Rank 1: User can combine a Ninjutsu and a Taijutsu that they know up to B-Rank together. Omni-Flash deals damage equal to 75% of the total damage the combined jutsu would deal and inherits all effects, debuffs and Special Actions from both jutsu.
Master Rank: User can combine a Ninjutsu and a Taijutsu that they know up to A-Rank together. Omni-Flash deals damage equal to 75% of the total damage the combined jutsu would deal and inherits all effects, debuffs and Special Actions from both jutsu.

Cost:
Rank 1: AP equal to the AP cost of the higher AP jutsu +0.5 and 120% of the total combined CP cost.
Master Rank: AP equal to the AP cost of the higher AP jutsu +0.5 and 80% of the total combined CP cost.

Note:
- Omni-Flash is the same Damage and Accuracy type of Taijutsu as the user's signature weapon's primary Damage type and the Accuracy bonus/penalty for it is averaged out between the two combined jutsu's bonuses/penalties. In addition Omni-Flash receives bonuses/penalties from both appropriate Ninjutsu and Taijutsu-related effects. If the user's signature weapon is a puppet then the user may choose to combine a Ninjutsu with a Puppet Jutsu rather than a Taijutsu.
- Under no circumstances can Omni-Flash be used to combine a Puppet Jutsu and a Taijutsu.
- User must be wielding their signature weapon to cast Omni-Flash.
- Omni-Flash may only be cast once every three rounds and may never be used with any Bloodline or Core Ability jutsu.[/fontsize]

The peak of the Kensei's bond with it's wielder, this jutsu is a secret technique only capable of being performed by the user and their weapon. This technique allows the User to merge with their weapon, fusing into a new form the grants the user all of the abilities held by their Kensei. This form varies widely depending on the type of weapon wielded by the user, and its effects can range from simply razor sharp talons, to full-body shapeshifting that mimics the design of their weapon. While in this form, the user and their weapon literally fight as one, and share skills honed through an unbreakable bond.

Kensei, S-Rank, All other Kensei techniques

Master Rank: User and signature weapon fuse together. While fused the user's other Kensei abilities and jutsu are modified.
  • Signature weapon's Accuracy/Damage modifiers are changed to +2/+10% regardless of what they are normally.
  • The signature weapon's independent Genjutsu Save gained from Force of Will applies directly to the user. This means that any opposing Genjutsu must succeed against both Saves to affect the user but they may no longer use the 1 AP action to dispel Genjutsu already affecting them.
  • Omni-Flash may now be used once each round rather than once every three rounds.
Cost: 4.5 Ap, 4320 Cp to initiate. 2060 Cp/Rnd.

Note:
- Does not use handseals.
- User is still considered to be wielding their signature weapon while Kindred Fusion is active but they may cast jutsu which require handseals unimpeded and cannot be involuntarily separated from their weapon by any means.[/fontsize]
