Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Jutsu Mastery:

It was a bright day, a sunny day, and a day that Ikko had not had a chance to enjoy in quite some time. He had found himself in a familiar training yard as his eyes glanced across the multiple targets and dummies and random training apparatus that had been strewn through the clearing. He had spent quite some time learning monotonous things like reading, writing, and knowing how to clean himself. Boring stuff really. Here he would get a chance to really put the things he had learned into action, to really jump out and in to action. Ikko brought himself to his feet and his hands together into a seal before letting his right arm drop to his side. Moisture coalesced around it as his chakra pulled it from the air, the liquid forming an aquatic mass before snaking down, forming in to a whip. The first time he had used this jutsu, he accidentally snapped Hoshi in the face. It was remarkable how much easier it was to form and control now.

Water - Chakra Style:

Ikko flung his arm out to the left and the water snapped out in a flash, smacking in to and relieving one of the target dummies of their heads, causing the now severed straw skull to go careening into a wall. In one fluid motion, Ikko spun, snapping the whip toward the opposite side of the clearing and wrapping the whip around the midriff of another dummy. Planting his foot hard into the earth, Ikko pistoned his free hand into his hip and heaved the whip over his head, ripping the dummy from its pedestal and slamming it hard into another, smashing them both together. And then the next part was something he had been struggling with, but long hours of practice and plot demands made him feel like he could pull it off. Pivoting, Ikko flung the whip in between the remaining two dummies and as it flipped, the whip split down the middle, separating into two tendrils that shot out and slapped the dummies off their pedestals, a wide and ecstatic grin coming to Ikko's face at his success.

Elementalist:

The boy was bouncing up and down in jubilation. He had been facing, to put it bluntly, a fair bit of adversity lately. He had not had a whole lot of success in what most people considered the necessary next jump in his development. He had excelled at some things, but the whole package was still woefully behind. He also never really got a clear answer on how to fix it. He had an affinity for Water, but he wasn't "Adept" at it enough and he wasn't sure what other talents he really had, outside of exuberance. The next part of the training course reared its ugly head as he was lost in thought and he had to panic to react. A funnel appeared out of the wall and shot a violent torrent of water at the boy. Quickly weaving hand signs, Ikko aimed at the incoming spout and rebuttled in kind.

"Water Release: Impaling Hydro Jet"

Ikko's stream of water clashed into the incoming stream, the pressures colliding in the space between them in as dramatic a fashion as possible, locked in place and pushing against each other. However, Ikko wouldn't allow himself to lose this tug of war. With exertion, Ikko forced more water, more force, more energy in to his jutsu, overpowering the machine and ramming his own torrent straight through, overpowering and ripping the nozzle clear out through the wall.

Haku:

Ikko, as per usual, used up too much energy. He slumped to the ground for a moment, struggling to catch his breath. He let himself get carried away, like he always did. The thoughts of not being accepted in the place he desperately wanted to call his home were, to put it lightly, draining for him. Hoshi had always told him he belonged, he was meant to be here, but it was difficult to really feel that way. Ikko didn't know what a home was, not really. He had no baseline to really compare the sensation to. Was what he was currently feeling enough to be called a home? No, he didn't think so. He didn't really feel accepted, whether or not he actually was not especially relevant. It was a draining array of emotions. It was also a draining sensation as he remembered that the one water spout was not the only one. A stream of water crashed into Ikko's cheek, knocked him clear out of his crouch and causing him to sprawl out on the ground, rife with pain. He barely had time to ground before he had to desperately roll out of the way of a third watery projectile, soaking the ground where he was moments prior.

He shakily jumped to his feet in time to eat another stream of pain into his chest, knocking him right back on to his butt. This was painfully expected for him. This was a trial someone who had been here as long as he and was touted as being as full of potential as he, should be able to handle. It was what someone who would actually be accepted in the village should be able to handle. Another stream in his back and another cry of pain. This wasn't fair, Ikko should be strong enough to handle this, he'd been trying hard, harder than most people gave him credit for, but he still couldn't take that last step, make that last push, and as another stream of water crashed in to the back of his head, his temper boiled over. The boy howled in anger, in fury, in anguish and seemed to jump to his feet. He didn't really know what happened or what he did, his eyes were closed, but when his brain calmed down enough to process the information around him...he realized he was no longer being pelted by water. Ikko blinked his eyes open and saw something...something he wasn't expecting at all. Around him was a web of streams of water...but they weren't really water any longer. Arrayed around him were thick streams of ice, angled at him and the area in various ways. Ikko gulped, pulling himself to his feet. The nozzles were rattling, as if trying to still shoot water through their blocked hoses. Ikko quietly stepped out of the line of unmoving ice and reached out to gently touch it. It was cold to the touch, it really was frozen. Did he do that? How did he do that? Some of the ice near the spout began to melt but as soon as it caught Ikko's attention, it seemed to freeze right up again. He was doing this...but he had no idea how. It...it was probably a question for another day. The boy decided to flee for now before he somehow got in trouble for freezing the entire training ground. What in the world had he done? He would have to figure it out in a more...controlled environment for now, where he wasn't at risk of accidentally turning anyone, or himself, into a Popsicle.

Human Anatomy

It was not like Ikko to reminisce. He, in general, much preferred to live in the here and now, but something had drawn his memories to the not so distant past. Hearkening back to one of his very first lessons, Ikko remembered his challenge to Bosu-sama, declaring that he could be a Shinobi Surgeon if he damn well wanted to. It was a challenge Ikko had almost completely forgotten because, well, he didn't want to and because it had been so long since he had actually seen Bosu-sama. He figured she was likely busy being all medical somewhere else. He had issued a challenge however, and he was going to give it an honest try, he was too stubborn not to. It was that stubbornness that landed him in the academy, far too late in to the night staring at textbooks that were way too advanced for him. At least, the written portions were too advanced for him. He could really only keep track of a third of the words and that wasn't exactly ideal for figuring out what complicated text passages were shooting for. Thankfully though, they had pictures. Ikko chose to focus on those and while one could hardly consider him a "surgeon," Ikko did have a pretty firm grasp on how the human body worked from his previous lessons with Shouyu, a Hyuuga, and what he was able to glean from the books.

Bloody Mess

Ikko had gleaned all that he was really going to from the books however and it was time to put his newly found Shinobi Surgeon skills to use. There was a fleshy looking dummy set up on the counter that had been engineered with a small water pump, shooting the liquid through a downsized circulatory system. It wasn't one hundred percent accurate...or good, but they weren't going to waste the good stuff on a random academy student with a knife. Ikko checked to make sure the water pump was working before moving to the dummy. He knew the carotid artery in the neck was the most immediately disastrous place to incur a wound, so with a logic that no one in their right mind would decree as logic, Ikko made a quick incision where he had learned and immediately water began squirting out up at him, hitting him in the face.

"Oh right, bandage."

It took him a few moments to realize he hadn't actually gotten a bandage ready before he hurried off to the supply cabinet and quickly grabbed a bandage and hurried back, knife still in hand. Unfortunately, by the time he had gotten back to the dummy, water had already pooled on the ground and Ikko, in a rush, did not pay an especially close attention to his surroundings. Slipping on the pooled water, Ikko slid forward, catching himself on the table and the knife punching once more into the dummy. Water shot straight up into the air and Ikko, in his rush to close the new wound too, managed to jab the knife into the femoral artery as well. An array of wacky hi-jinks later and the dummy was spewing from every oriffice and Ikko and the room at large was drenched. Ikko, his temper at a boiling point, reacted in a less than controlled manner. A single hand formed a seal and Ikko shouted in frustration as a pulse of hyper cold air shot from him, knocking over books and freezing them in place in the same gust. When the proverbial dust settled, the dummy was not, well, usable any more as the water gushing from it had frozen in mid air, like it had caught a picture of a man exploding. Ikko blinked tentatively and slowly backed out through the door behind him...hopefully no one realized it was him who had used this room tonight.

Elemental Aura:

Ikko was, determined to get a win today, which was something he had been sorely lacking for quite some time. His last training adventures involved him turning a study hall into a frozen tundra and the one before that involved him inadvertently blowing up an entire training ground. Today, he was determined to succeed. So to start, he'd open with something that he was especially proud of. Ikko had spent a lot of time trying to grasp the concept of a Chakra Armor and he had put the long hours into mastering the subtle art of Cyclone Movement. They needed some work on the names though, there were so many more interesting things to call it. Ikko brought a hand up to his chest and formed a few seals and immediately the air around began to swirl in violent torrents around him. The violent torrents then shifted to biting cold violent torrents, the air temperature itself seeming to drop tens of degrees around him. The world itself seemed to be pushed away from Ikko as he felt a familiar power swirling within him. He could use these chilly winds to further augment his other abilities.

Barrier Mastery:

Ikko exhaled, his breath caught up in the maelstrom around him as his fingers contorted once again, his eyes shifting to a target roughly fifty meters away from him. In addition to the Chakra Armor, Ikko had spent a lot of time practicing these Barriers and he was more and more confident in them with each passing use. Another target primed leveling the barriers at Ikko as he triggered the technique. All around him barrels were leveled at him. The boy took a deep breath and then triggered his technique. The cold air and moisture around him mingled with his chakra. Ikko's eyes sprang open, the turrets fired their Kunai, and ice sprang up to meet them. Frozen walls intercepted and the repeated "ch" of metal shooting harmlessly into ice rang out through the training ground. Ikko grinned to himself as his walls endured the full volley, leaving a field of inert kunai around him.

Jutsu Expansion:

Ikko kicked off the ground and vaulted himself over his barrier, landing outside the field of defeated Kunai as he leveled his sights on his barrier. Now it was his turn to break it. It wasn't in the best shape, the Kunai volleys had damaged it rather significantly, but Ikko was proud of just how much of it was left. Ikko formed another seal and icicles began to form around his head, pooling together into multiple little shards of ice. These shards of ice then began to pool, forming and sticking together into one larger, giant ice shard. Ikko shot the projectile forward, careening toward the target, but Ikko wasn't quite done with his projectile yet though. As soon as the Ice Shard was going to hit, it suddenly ballooned out, Doubling in size. The violent expansion in addition to the crashing of the projectile struck the barrier and blew straight through it before crashing straight into the ground. Ikko finally exhaled as the remains of the barrier and the ice shard slowly began to melt, fading into the ground. Progress was made, that was always a plus. And he hadn't, you know, broken anything, definitely a plus.

Ikko's 3-sectional staff does not pack many surprises. Outside of its ability to resonate, almost glow, when Ikko's roommate makes manifest, the sectional staff primarily functions as a means to hit people. With modern Kumo engineering however, the metal segments of the weapon can "snap" together along the three chained joints, locking together and forming, effectively, a single staff with the flick of a switch and a quick motion from Ikko. They can be disengaged equally simply back in to a 3-sectional staff at a moments notice, affording the boy a good contrast between stability and unpredictability.
