Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The night was oddly cold, having many cling to the inside of their homes. The streets relatively bare in comparison to most nights here in the underground. Among the few people that walked along the streets, one Aoki Natsuni walked for what would be his last evening alive. Natsuni had been running a small time gang that had begun to get some traction, that is until recently when two Shinobi arrested several of its members in a bar one late night. Now Natsuni was left wondering next steps for not only himself but his gang. They weren't a powerful group so having their numbers thinned might be a serious issue if he didn't do something fast.

He walked up to a food stand and ordered some tako tamago from the woman behind the counter. It always reminded him of the simpler life to eat something from one of the many carts at the bazaar, though he'd never frequented this particular stall they were all the same. The food was cheap and made fast, the people were talkative and always so thankful for business. He would put some yen into the tip jar and than the woman as he took his order from her. He made a simple passing remark as he left, "her eyes were something else."

He would walk another two hundred yards or so before stopping at a bench fo sit and eat. It was going to be a long night, so he'd need some extra nourishment if he wanted to be able to focus on the task at hand. He was supposed to meet one of his contacts, a member of the main gang in Suna who had agreed to settle some territory disputes and maybe, he hoped, start the chat about the gangs merging into one another. It would bring not only some serious support in the way of yen and weapons, but also it would give them some serious recognition at the table for future trades. He was hopeful that this was going to be the case, he ate the first piece as he was lost in thought. It was so savory it could've brought a tear to his eye.

He would wait for a few moments before checking his watch expectantly. Waiting was one thing, but at this point it felt intentional. He took his second piece and ate it, just as tasty as the first. He was going to need to hire that woman took or marry her off to one of his guys if he could manage. It had been a long time since he had a meal this good. The next two pieces flew down his gullet before he could even recognize the cracking of something between his teeth. He paused for a minute and looked down at his dish, nothing was off but he couldn't help but think, something might have been weird about that.

He stuck his hand in his mouth to see if something was there, but nothing turned up. It must have been, wait no something. He paused as he felt an ache from his stomach that almost keeled him over right then. He fell and scrambled as he tried to hold himself steady, his mouth filling with a cold metallic tasting liquid. He opened his mouth as blood began pouring out, his hands grasping at his throat that was closing slowly. Poison, he had been so distracted he hadn't noticed that something was off, the seasoning was so good he couldn't taste the poison in each bite. Soon, passers by began to call for help as he laid watching motionless, his breathing finally coming to a halt.

Meanwhile, a few hundred yards away, a small stand was closed now. A woman walking away having never owned it in the first place, simply offering the man that had a few hundred yen to close shop for the day. More than he'd have made anyhow, so he happily did just that. She smiled and shook her head, the classics never really did get old. Poisoned food, a dark alleyway stabbing, that sort of thing was usually a trope for a reason.. it worked.
