Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Haruhi sat behind the desk still, a smile on her face as lifeless eyes long since frozen watch the doors slide open and her former boss steps into the tower. She was the receptionist of the Crystal Tower before all of this, and apparently even after it. She’d been there when Hoshikata was given the position of Foreign Affairs Advisor. She’d been there when he ascended to Mizukage. She’d been there both times he gave the position up. Odd how a lifeless corpse, long drained by the cold, could stir memories of nostalgia in him.

The last time Hoshikata was in this tower was before the disappearance of the hated Minamoto. Life was different then, when he was the underdog plotting to overthrow the pound that dared to keep him down. He was different, a mortal with aspirations of mortal dreams. He never would have dared to think of becoming a god back then. That had happened only after his change. Out of habit, the Seer nods to Haruhi and walks to one of the elevators, hitting the button.

He had no idea how the tower still had power, but apparently other parts of the village did. The journey here from his old house was swift, but lethal to the unwary. It was dark out, even in the middle of the day, and there were things prowling around. Shadows with no body to cast them, demons and shades of the other side of the veil, ghosts and creatures that did not belong to this world. They were all given a far more terrifying presence by the music playing through the radios throughout the city. It was a haunting melody, but it was better than when Scratchy came back on to talk. He couldn’t be alive, but something was talking through him nonetheless.

Naturally the doors opened to reveal nothing, the cable holding the elevator having long since snapped and sending the metal box plummeting through the floor into the lake below. Hoshikata wedges the doors open with a kunai and steps in, chakra gathering around his feet to hold as he leaps against the far wall and begins to walk up. He counted floors as he went, stopping as he comes to the forty-third and prying the doors open, stepping through to the floor.

It was as he remembered. The windows before him floor to ceiling, revealing the frozen hellscape that his beloved Kirigakure became after he left. To his left were the doors to the meeting room, and to his right was the hallway leading to the offices. He turns right, heading to the third door on the left and opening it. Inside was the largest office, though it looked no larger than the rest. Hoshikata steps in, moving to the desk and opening the middle drawer on the right. Inside was only a button, which he pressed. A click sounds out, and a section of one the bookshelves swings free, revealing a second office hidden inside of this one. The outside walls were plated with a reflective crystal, giving the impression of empty space to all who tried to look in from the outside, or out from the inside.

He steps into the room and moves to the desk in here, rummaging through it and pulling out stacks of papers. A bag appears from his robes, and the papers begin going into it. Dossiers on shinobi, foreign relations treaties, updates from his spies in the field about how things went. All of it was going into the bag, and only when the desk was empty would he step back and look around the office sadly.

Fire had little trouble spreading in the room, the table and desk catching quickly from the jutsu. Hoshikata moves, using the same jutsu to spread the fire to his main office before exiting. He moves to the elevator doors and steps through, falling swiftly to the bottom. A powerful burst of kinetic force slows him as he nears the bottom, and once more he grips the wall with chakra and walks down a few feet to the bottom floor.

As Hoshikata walks out the sliding doors, he turns and nods once more to Haruhi.
