The sun had done passed the peak of noon which hinted that the day was on it's way to ending. Most likely a few hours until the sun would make it's decent towards dusk we would fine the young Yamanaka boy, Chikamatsu Shin, on his way to the Greenhouse that his family tended. He lived in one of the few Burrows of Sunagakure that had such a place found locally. This was thank's to his father's prowess with technology allowing the specific requirements of each plant to be maintained with his mother's expertise in these plants helped them flourish by keeping companion plants together and rivals separate. These were skills that Shin was learning from both of his parents as one day this greenhouse would be his sole responsibility. On almost any day that the boy wasn't in class he was most likely in this greenhouse studying each plant and cataloging their qualities and reporting back to his mom to make sure he had them correctly.
Upon first entering the greenhouse you would be in the foyer which was filled with the most common and popular flowers, such as the Rose Cactus, the Midnight Bloom, a few Pillow Paws, as well as the occasional Succulent Gerbera. These flowers were commonly purchased in the arrangements his mother made while attracting many people to visit the small speck of green in this vast desert. A visible stair case could be seen twisting up to a higher level that would hold the lab where Shin and his mother worked on unlocking attributes of the various plants as well as crafting their legendary toxins that any Yamanaka was known for. To either the right or the left would lead to another chamber.
Upon entering the room to the right would lead to a section of the conservatory dedicated to the Land of Lightning. Shin didn't know these plants very well but he knew that some of them were rare specimens indeed as most of the Lightning Country was dedicated to ore and minerals. He was quite fond of some of these herbs and flowers. They held the deepest violet shades, which the boy knew he shouldn't ever touch carelessly. There were also tall trees with unique branches as they had adapted to survive in the higher altitudes of the mountains. Their leaves were thicker to adjust to the lower density of air in that region. Just across the ways on the other hand were shrubs found in the lowlands which had thick woody roots to help break down the mineral rich soil.
If the visitor of the Chikamatsu Conservatory went to the left instead of the right they would find a plethora of vegetation native to the Land of Fire. Beautiful full foliage with bright colors made it no surprise that the hidden village of the Fire Country was the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Filled to capacity there were more herbs and other members of the Plantae Kingdom than any other foreign land, which most likely has to do with the founder of the conservatory being from Konoha originally. Still, the collection was impressive and the flowers that bloomed here had no rivals. The aroma and the beauty of this room made it no supersize that the "Flower Power" Yamanaka Clan originated in this region.
if neither left nor right was the direction the guest desired to go then they would find themselves in the desert oasis of the Land of Wind. A more expansive collection of native plants lived here as well as a wider variety of different breeds that fell under each species category. Varying colors from blues to pinks and even yellows of the native species were the results of selective breeding that Shin and his mother had completed season after season. This room also attracted a large amount of animal life. Small desert insects loved this section of the conservatory as they fluttered from flower to flower and built hives in the crevasses of the tall cacti. This was the most popular room as it was far more relatable for the everyday villager while still adding that extra bit of "newness".
Shin could be found up stairs in his laboratory, he was finishing up with his mission that his mother had given him. He had sprigs of the Leather Leaf Ferns, the soft Baby's Breath flowers, soft purple Limonium, the trumpeting Lily of the Nile, and the relative to the Ninja's Wolfsbane, Larkspur. These flowers were all wrapped in loose paper and piled up beside the boy as he was writing in his log, keeping track of every withdraw from the garden for personal use and the response the plants made when hey lost a few blooming stems. He never took enough to cause overall harm to the plant, only enough to fill his mother's order. Though the plants were slightly harmed they would survive and live to see another day. This was the boy's regular chore and he rather enjoyed it. Maintaining the Chikamatsu Conservatory gave him pride and it made him feel more connected to the earth which was a good trait to have. Placing his book down the boy would make his rounds. He first walked through the Foyer, slowly snipping off any stems of leaves that looked ill or damaged. This would help the rest of the perennial stronger for the following seasons. When it comes to the annuals the small Yamanaka would take care to extract any seeds in the withering blooms as they were needed to be stored in order to replant that particular species. This tedious task of checking every single specimen did not bother him, and he actually rather enjoyed it.
This particular shrub that he was working on now required a little extra care. He looked across the room to find a stronger pair of clippers before pointing a single finger out towards it. Though he did not use his skills in Puppetry like his father, he still could produce the threads required to do so. He most often just used this style of chakra manipulation to grab objects that were far away. The strand lingered across the room before connecting with the clippers.Rotating his hand over so that his palm faced the sky he shifted his finger as if to say "come here". responding to the movement the clippers lifted up off of their place on the station and made their way to the boy where he would continue his upkeep before taking the flowers back to his mom.
