Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Abilities:

Sixth Sense
40 stat average - WELL over that.
Few could sneak up on the seer of souls. Those who tried often found his eyes on them before they even came out of concealment. They would spend hours in an attempt, tunnel through the floor if need be and still be found before getting within a dozen yards of him. Never could they figure out why. None could tell what secrets the Seer used. Through the brush, through the walls, he could see the beacons of life, their souls, shining bright and true. And often, he could see their death quickly following as they made the fatal mistake of sneaking up on him.

Illusionist
3 mastered gen and 125 Gen - WELL over both.
There are those who can beat their foes by sheer physical might. They're fast, strong and hard to put down. The Seer is not one of those, his physique best described as 'you need to eat more'. Hoshikata follows the true path to combat, the path that makes it so even the weakest of warriors might prevail. To destroy your foe, you first destroy their mind. His entire life he has been following this precept, and that training had paid off in spades. The ease with which he can affect another's senses is astounding, as is the complexity of the illusions he can do.

Shattered Reality
80 Gen, 100 CC, 5 mastered Gen. - See the two above.
The mind is a tricky thing. It holds all of your being in itself, and controls everything you do. Your actions, emotions and senses are all controlled by the mind. It can convince you that what you're seeing is fake, and on the flip side make the unreal horribly real. A simple twist in the psyche can convince someone that even a pinprick is a mortal wound. The Seer is aware of this, and does all he can to make sure each and every time he invades one's mind he's twisting, and pulling at these areas. After all, victory is given to the dirtiest fighter.

Clarity
50 CC 3 mastered Gen - HAH
Nothing was hidden from his eyes. Those strange eyes with the pupils that saw time moving, saw death and little else. The spirits of those long dead would reveal the secrets to him. The souls of his opponents would reveal the truth of his surroundings. If his senses failed him, he knew his hidden sense, the one that let him see those long departed or the sense of his timeglass eyes, would not do so. He would walk the land free from the trappings of normal sight, normal hearing. He would let his new senses work their magic for him.

Heart of the Sword
200 CC, 6 mastered jutsu of the weapon type, a weapon - Got the first two, second is coming below.
The Staff of Verin. An ancient weapon crafted long ago by an ancestor of the Isaki clan. Crafted with the full blessing of their dark lord, the weapon had power, and it had a spirit residing in it of Isaki Kousen. Through the coming months after his descent into power, Hoshikata would converse often with the weapon. It had power and knowledge, and the Seer would have both in due time. The spirit, meanwhile, came to trust in the Seer for his faith and goal. Kousen has lost his soul to the weapon on the same endeavour his descendant now embarked upon. The bond between the two was stronger than steel.

Quickdraw
50 tai 100 agi and weapons - Got em all baby!
The Seer kept his staff on hand at all times. A unique weapon, a weapon of weapons. Each part of the staff could be used as a different means of causing pain. As such, he was able to quickly switch his grip on it in order to better bring the part he needed to the front. A spin of his wrist and the globe, so useful for banging on things, would be replace by the deadly tip that was almost like a spear. A simple twist and that point pops out into a large blade. Every part of this staff was dangerous, and he quickly trained himself to make sure he was as efficient as possible in wielding it.

Nimble Hands
100 Agility - 400 Agility!
The bond was indeed strong between weapon and wielder. In time he began a new technique, attempting to use the globe atop it as a mechanism for his chakra to flow through. Guided by the knowledge of ancient shinobi who were far more advanced than any of this day, his learning increased in the knowledge he gained. A quick mind was the first thing needed, and dexterity of his hands. He learned how to use his off hand for manipulation, and channel the jutsu through his main hand into the staff. The results were astounding for the most part. Fireballs and pure force would radiate from the weapon's tip.

---------------

Weapons:
1. Staff of Verin - Globe. Type: Bludgeoning. Mods: -2 accuracy +10% damage.
2. Staff of Verin - Blade. Type: Slashing. Mods: None
3. Staff of Verin - Tip. Type: Piercing. Mods: +2 accuracy -10% damage.
4. Staff of Verin - Guard. Type: Unarmed. Mods: +1 accuracy -5% damage.

Hoshikata's weapons all revolve around the Staff of Verin. The globe sitting atop it can be used ot bash in skulls, while twisting it slightly would drop the pointed end down into a foot long diamond blade. The diamond point on the foot of the staff can stab, and the hand guard makes for excellent brass knuckles.

RP
His method had changed. There could be no doubt of that. Hoshikata had spent too long without using certain skills to keep the ones he had before. His primary focus had shifted, he no longer worried about the weaponry he used. The Staff would take care of itself, there was no doubt. Hoshikata had to worry about taking care of his own self as well. His meditations on the forms of combat had shifted from physical to mystical. His hands lost that almost mystical flexibility as he stopped working on using them while holding the Staff. His technique began to fail as he stopped training on using the staff as a weapon of pain and instead as one of magnification.

Everything would shift, change, morph into a new form of combat. Speed was still the king, but a different kind of speed. He would work on his reaction time, his ability to simply go when things needed to. Drop a ball and perform a task before it hits the ground. Drop a ball and perform several tasks. He trained body to accept commands from the mind without questions, without hesitation. He trained his body to follow the true leader of the physical shell, the brain which told it what to do. Slave and master, that was the rule now. The flesh was weak, but the mind was strong and would reel it in when the flesh got out of line.

Gone also was his almost supernatural ability to bring the staff to bear. He could still call it from across space, that was in no danger of being lost. Instead it was the speed with which he swung the weapon he needed in to play. He could no long effortlessly switch from blade to globe to grip as he had before. He had to focus more on what he was doing due to the nimble fingers he had before fading away. It was a hard loss for him, one he took stoically in his hermitage. He would get over this loss of skill by replacing it with something even more powerful to him. Something that would set him above and apart from the rest of the people out there. Something unique.

He would work on a trick his own mind thought up. The ability to imbue his mental assaults with a hint of ninjutsu. He would leak his soul into it, meld his chakra moreso than before. And his chosen element was obviously the flames that guided him. He would test it, during his time hiding, on the lizards which sought safety in the caves. It took practice, and skill, to be able to imbue the fire into the mind without setting the creature aflame. Soon he had to hunt the vermin down since they began to see him as a threat and avoid him. When he finally began succeeding in his task, he worked on the finesse subtlety of it. He could slip in and leave a flame in one's mind without them even knowing he was there, sometimes.

His final step was to perfect the art of mental combat. For this he did not give up something, so much as a trade. His ability to overpower a mind with brute force simply would not do. Instead the Seer would train his mind on using true skill. When one hit armor, they did not keep hitting. He sought the gaps in the plate, the holes in the mail, the chinks in the joints and straps that held it all together. As if his mind was a dagger slipping in to the crease and making one deft slice, he could remove all of their defenses and slide in easily.

Truly his time in the caverns made him stronger, more capable to handle the tasks to come. Hoshikata would return a new man, and take his mantle once more.
