Day after day, Kiri was put through hell. By night fall he could barely stand as he was constantly enduring intense physical and mental training. He was learning how to be a man, a shinobi, and truly control what was inside of him.
As a man, he had to know how to survive, provide for himself, and make sound judgement to make good decisions instead of wreaking havoc and crying afterwards. Kiri had to find his own food, create shelter for himself, and defend his shelter from wild life intrusion. The young lad found ways to produce materials from the land itself and hunt intelligently. Facing many obstacles, fighting many bandits, and conquering himself, Kiri was slowly, but surely advancing.
As months passed, the boy was growing. Junko allowed him to have some lead way, but under careful watch. Had to make sure he didn't get lost again right?
Training with Junko, Kiri was allowed to use his demonic powers and only with Junko unless the situation was life or death. Many times, the surrounding area, normally a spot in the forest, ended up destroyed as the fight for control was an never ending battle. Junko gained many scars in the process, but it was nothing he couldn't handle as the medical sennin. Time after time, drill after drill, Kiri enhanced slowly. His demonic powers increased and he went berserk less, but their would always be a chance for it to occur.
Putting Kiri through non-kinjutsu training, he learned how to rely on his own power more. Utilizing shadows, his normal weaponry, genjutsu, and ninjutsu with acute chakra control. Compacting his training with tons of meditation and advanced calisthenics, Kiri mentally began to morph. He was much less like a child. He was growing into the shinobi Kumogakure needed, at least to be an asset to the village and not a liability.
It had been over a year since the two had left the village. Junko didn't even have a chance to journey to sand as he devoted his time to training the boy after the incident in konoha. It was time to return to the old desk. Work needed to be done and sand would have to come later. Perhaps Junko would simply invite Akujin instead. Only time would tell.
For now, a wife, children, a branch, and a village was missed and needed their sennin. It was time to return home.
