Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was an overstatement that Kagari had overstayed his welcome, it was time for him to go home. Kumo was an interesting experience but home always called for him. Maybe he missed the smell of strong spices from the marketplace or the rhythmic sounds of Grand Palais at night.
Despite it being a claustrophobic, smelly, and hostile environment; it still was home.

At the gates, bundled up again with the gear he used to travel previously; he felt nostalgic looking at the gates he came through previously to enter Cloud. It was bustling just as much as last time when he entered the village a few weeks ago.
So far it's been nothing but talks about the supposed martial arts tournament in the tea country, and a lot of the people at the gates were off to watch the show. The "World Martial Arts" Tournament.

Strange, Kagari could have sworn he would have heard about this when he was leaving Suna. He would have also expected the caravan he journeyed with talk about the tournament. Something was bothering him, he felt the need to get home quickly.

As he approached the passport station, he waited for someone to approach him and allow him to pass and get home.

Nozomi doesn't understand why foreigners had to be let out of the village. Then again, she didn't know why Cloud Shinobi must be let out of the village. It's our own village, we should be allowed to move around freely. A hawk is seen circling around Kagari, high up in the air. It let out a loud cry before taking off back into the village. Several moments later, the same hawk ended up landing on Nozomi's shoulders, pointing in the direction of the gates. While this may seem a bit silly to see, a hawk landing on someone's shoulder, facing in a direction other than the direction the hawk-tamer was face -- Nozomi knew exactly what this meant. The direction her hawk, who seemed to be unnamed at the moment, faced was the direction that she is being beckoned. She nodded her head, reached up to pet the hawk upon the head and sent the hawk on it's way, following overhead as a vigilant overwatch.

Making her way to the gate, she noticed a foreigner, who looked a little bit like Maru (if he ever took the damn mask off). She cleared her throat and turned to look towards the man after coming just outside of arm's length. "I hope your time in Kumogakure was a pleasant one. Tell me your name and I'll be sure to update your status in our visitor's log," she mentioned, keeping an ear open to hear the man's name. This was all semantics. Why the locals need to worry about people, especially foreigners, leaving out of their gates is silly to her. If foreigners were here peacefully and they want to leave peacefully, then they should just be allowed to.... walk out. This entire gate procedure was stupid to Nozomi.

Out of the corner of his eye, he could see someone approach from the shadows. A young woman made her way over to the passport station with a neutral look on her face. Something did catch his eye, the shadow of a bird kept circling around the gates.
Was he being watched? Regardless he had nothing to fear, just a foreign ANBU in a foreign nation. What could possibly go wrong?

The woman cleared her throat and looked straight at Kagari: "I hope your time in Kumogakure was a pleasant one. Tell me your name and I'll be sure to update your status in our visitor's log,"
Kagari nodded, "Certainly, my name is Kagari Toshiwakai and I'm from Sunagakure." Kagari dug for his passport just in case he needed it. As he reached for it in the pockets of his parka, he took a look at the clocks displaying the time zones for each nation.

Something concerned him, specifically the year. It was off, about 1 year and a half since he checked into Kumo. A knot formed in his gut, but he decieded not to panic...just yet.
First he needed some information.

"Say, is the year off on one of those boards? You might want to get that checked out."

Nozomi raised up a hand to signal that she didn't need to see the passport. She didn't need to see it as it wasn't all that important. Just the name was good enough for her. She turned the 'halt' gesture to a single finger as she walked to the gate-house to look over the register. Once she found his name, she wrote in the current date and time for his leaving of the village. After writing it down, she walked outside and looked towards the man for a brief moment. "Well, it seemed you might as well have taken residence here. Been here for quite the time," she said as she took a deep breath in, her breath being visible upon the exhale.

"Have a safe travel back, Toshiwakai Kagari," she said as she whistled to the gatesmen to open the gates. With the rough creeking noise and the sound of gears turning, the gate slowly opened into a massive cave, the Dragon Tooth Pass. Nozomi said nothing else as she stood there to watch the foreigner leave.

A raised hand halted his current action, then motioning with her finger for him to wait here. She didn't answer Kagari's question, which didn't help his growing anxiety for answers.
She came back, again with a neutral expression, "Well, it seemed you might as well have taken residence here. Been here for quite the time,"

Kagari visibly blanched. A year and a half had gone by somehow without him realizing it. How was here in Cloud for an entire year?!
He composed himself, closing his eyes and trying to compartmentalize the new information.

"Thank you. It feels like I got here...yesterday. " Kagari ran a hand through his ruffled hair, looking a bit exasperated.
"Have a safe travel back, Toshiwakai Kagari, She blew a sharp whistle and an acknowledgement was soon followed from a voice above.

The gates opened and Kagari was set for his journey back home. Kagari nodded towards the woman and walked through the gates.

Kagari made his exit from the village which prompted the gates to close as soon as he was in the gateguard's line of sight. The gates shut with a loud thud before Nozomi turned on her heels and started to work her way back into the village. There wasn't much more to say and there wasn't much more to do. The clerical work was already done and the man was on his way back. The gate procedures in Cloud were just weird. Why not just let everyone who was here peacefully just leave? Strange, but that's just the way things are. With that, she returned home as the hawk of her's circled overhead.
