Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

[Hey sorry, could you please just skip me this once, I'm really sorry, but I don't have any ideas of what to write at the moment and don't want to hold everyone up.]

((Sure, homie.))

Zashi beamed with pride. He didn’t know what for, really, but he seemed to have inspired some kind of thought in his sensei. That was worth being prideful over, in his opinion. He snickered a bit at the whole “licking weapons” comment – he was familiar with the concept. He saw some bandits do it in those sepia films they’d show in the theater downtown. He’d gone once or twice, and it did seem intimidating.

”It seems like a dangerous metal... but I guess that’s the point.” He peered into the forge, eyeing the melting metal. ”What are handles usually made of? Does it change depending on the weapon, or does it really matter?” He imagined only slight variance in handles for weapons. But maybe it mattered more than he knew. Could a minor part of a weapon really be all that influential?

The guns he saw used by mercenaries were usually made of this tough kind of leather. But that was just for knockback. There was a lot of personal preference when it came to weaponry. Zashi hadn’t really realized this until he started designing one of his own.

"Yes... that is part of the point. More so is when you are challenged with blades, and you simply have the better metal that slices through theirs. It is exceptional to see the expression on their faces when you best their weaponry."<i></i> He added as he kept an eye on the metal finishing the first phase. He folded his arms. It seemed like it was going to go well... until the Frost began to bubble, the Steward quickly had the mould draw upwards. The Steward unsealed the glass and then held his hand out. Metal began to quickly form around his hand as he began to blast the bubbles with plasma. "Bubbles if they solidify cause weak points in the blade or weapon. We certainly wouldn't want Riyota's glaives to be weak now would we?"<i></i> He continued to blast the bubbles out and ultimately he succeeded. Sousuke shook his head. "Irregularities do happen when making weaponry so we have to have a constant eye on them to make sure we do have strong weapons when completed."<i></i>

Zashi had asked him another question regarding the handles. "Handles can be made of opposing elements, but you'd want to make sure that the opposing element is a few grades lower. For instance an A level blade, would want a B level opposing elemental hilt. The reason being that the two will square off each other, but the hilt being of a lesser grade, won't snap when pressured accordingly. If you cannot acquire either, then it would be best to simply work with high grade steel which is neutral for the most part." He flipped a few switches and allowed the mould to go back in and begin setting. "In the case of these glaives, we may want to use embersteel... with a lower temperature... so as not to burn your hands."<i></i>

Sousuke clapped his hands. "This will take time to set, but I will have these weapons delivered to each of you personally, by myself even. One may liken this to watching paint dry. I think this would be an appropriate place to end today's lesson. I trust that this lesson has been most enlightening in revealing just how ... extensive and complex the world of our tools are."<i></i>

Riyota shook his head after he realized he'd spaced out, luckily neither of the others had seemed to notice. He gave an internal sigh of relief as he listened to Sousuke go over what would be required to make the weapon functional. Riyota himself didn't know why he'd decided on Frost Metal. He guessed it had something to do with the fact that there was nothing special about his other weapon, and since he didn't look like one to use Ice, unpredictability would be on his side.

As he heard the teacher speak off wrapping up the lesson he nodded, stretching slightly Yeah, sounds like it'd be pretty boring to sit around and wait for a weapon to cool down. Anyway, thanks Sensei, I learned a lot from this. Heh, maybe one day I'll be better at Forging weapons than you. Riyota chuckled, slowly exiting the classroom. And Zashi, I guess I'll be seeing you around. He smiled, giving a mock salute as he left the room.

”Oh... I guess I never thought it’d work like a liquid, even when it’s all melted.” He probably should’ve figured that – what with the way physics behave, but weapon forging (that is, shinobi weapon forging) seemed a bit more complex than what he had learned. But it seemed less impossible than it did at the beginning of this lesson. With enough time, Zashi figured he could be adept at this, especially in a place like Sunagakure.

The young man bowed, his hair accidentally flopping onto his face. ”Thank you very much sir, for the lesson and the weapon. And for not letting me melt my fingers off. And uh. All the other stuff I didn’t mention, sir, thank you.”

”And as for you, Riyota.” Zashi returned his mock salute with a capricious smirk. ”I’ll see you around the mission office.” The boy stumbled back, giving another bow to his sensei one more time before leaving. He had missions to start.

And oh, the missions he would start. Chasing dogs, shooting people, chasing people. He developed, no doubt, and a lot of it was thanks to this class. The sword he got was also noticeably helpful. He would later refurbish a mercenary’s rifle, reforging into a more heroic weapon. This class provided him with a lot of skills, and a decent enough know-how to get the ball rolling in his shinobi career. Sunagakure was shaping up pretty well for the boy out of the sand.

Let’s hope he uses them wisely.
