Ever since his clan rejected him over his failure to develop his Tetsukawa, he had been on his own. For a while there, he found solace in service to The Hidden Leaf as a member of the Anbu Branch. However, after seeing a younger member of his old clan in the forest of death, something deep within him came to the surface. It wasn't anger, or resentment, but the urge to just get away. And so, that was what he was attempting to do here tonight. Under a full moon, in the darkest time of the night, Sashin found himself hastily leaving. Although this was considered turning his back on his village, he really didn't see it that way. The Leaf would survive and live on, with or without, someone as insignificant as him.
Although Sashin felt this to be true, this train of thought was meant as a slight to his own sense of self value. He just wanted to make his own destiny, away from the clan that rejected him, and perhaps find some sort of foothold in another land. "I better hurry." He thought, as he continued his approach to the gates. "My colleagues are more than capable enough to stop me." He reminded himself, as he reached for his face to readjust his facemask. "Let's hope I get lucky." He told himself, as settled his mind. Stealthily, he made his run attempt.
Rather or not he would be caught was outside of his control, but rather he decided to put up a fight or not was a different story. The Anbu branch had taught him many things, but mercy wasn't one of them. If confronted and stopped, it'd be a fight for his life. He just hoped that whoever stopped him was ready to kill him, cause if they hesitated, he wouldn't.
