Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Life had become a bit mundane for the former Tsuchikage. Since resigning from his position at Iwagakure, the thirty something year old man had been relaxing under his sensei’s name and passport. Koroki was the name he was going by now, and he was certainly enjoying his retirement. Every day, he’d walked into the village center to the liquor stores to refill his reserves of spiced sake, and then a night of reading about medicine and the latest research while he drank himself into a stupor before passing out with a book and a bottle of wine in hand.

Of course, he still had his faithful dog with him. The strong and big white wolf was always by the side of Hissori. The Dog was ready to mingle with any man, women, boy, and girl that would approach him. His bright blue eyes would scanning wherever they went for potential threats that could be for the pair.

Today, was no different. Out and about “Koroki” and his dog were gathering supplies for a night of private fun. On the back on the white wolfdog, Buru had multiple bags hanging off his flanks, carrying Hissori’s supply of alcohol. Hissori himself was dressed in a rather normal way for how he had been living for the past two years.

Dressed with a large straw hat on, the adult hid his strawberry blonde, and now slightly graying hair. His shirt was a flowing flowery button down shirt which could be reminisce of an island shirt. Finally, his white pants were cut half way down his ankles showing off a pair of combat boots. No ninja emblems were on his body anymore, even his Mist one was hanging up in his apartment that was probably ten or so blocks over.

“Thank you! I will see you tomorrow!” Hissori called to the shop owner who Hissori had been getting to friendly with over the past couple of weeks. In the back of his mind, Hissori knew that he had to change Liquor stores soon, but for now Hissori was happy with his four bottles of spicy sake. “Here you go.” He told Buru who had been sitting outside the liquor shop. Now it was just time to get his dinner and his day out would be finished!

Sato had a long day at the academy again. It was one of those days that seemed to drag on forever, with the boy hardly showing any progress in his understanding of how to properly handle a kunai. In his confidence he was clumsy, and prone to making mistakes, and not really… quite listening sometimes! That is when he doesn’t get it, he gets frustrated, and when he gets frustrated he gets flustered and when he gets flustered… Well, it’s a downward spiral for his mood.

He sighed, hands in his pockets as he walked down the street. It was a little strange being able to see the sun, the outside, with fresh air. He particularly liked the clouds. That is when one would show in the desert sky. He didn’t really like the sun too much, as it was rather hot, and the kid was used to living underground. He did like the clouds, as they appeared in many different shapes and sizes. Sometimes one or two in the sky other times a lot more than that! The sky was something that was a small comfort to Sato this day, as there were clouds. He thought he could see a dog in the sky, or at least a cloud shaped like a dog!

The red head grinned to himself as he saw the sign. He liked dogs, a lot. The sky was telling him that now that school was over his day was going to get better. With that thought in his mind he put his hands on the back of his head and continued to walk with a smug smile on his face. Everything was going to be OK, and he didn’t know just how right he was in that case.

Soon after rounding a corner, he spotted it. Its appearance made him pause, as he had never seen one so big before. Its appearance made him gasp, and his heart skip a beat. As he took it in his eyes widened with equal amounts of excitement and admiration, and he found that he couldn’t hold himself back. In fact, before he even knew what he was doing, he found himself walking towards it in a hurried way, almost running, weaving through the other people to get to his prize.

The object of the boys fancy? A dog. A big white dog. The biggest one he had ever seen, “H-hey!” He called out running towards the dog. He’d stop a few feet away from it and give it a big wide eyed smile. He was almost star struck, “How are you?” he asked the animal, leaning forward. It had a lot of bags on it. Was it carrying stuff for its owner? A quick glance brought nothing of interest in the sacks to the child, but the dog with all his white fur…

“Do you mind if I pet you?” He asked, leaning forward, taking another cautious step towards the dog. He slowly reached his hand out, slowly invading the dogs space, but before he could even touch the animal a man came out and addressed the animal. He didn’t seem to notice Sato right away.

Standing up straighter Sato composed himself to the relaxed looking stranger, “H-hey!” He called out to him, “Is that your dog?” He asked pointing wide eyed to the fluffy white guardian of the booze. “Can I pet him?” Sato asked.

Icy blue eyes would turn to face the red head as the boy would make a loud noise as the academy student ran towards Buru. Buru would blink and straighten up some as the boy was running over towards him. The dog wasn’t surprised at how the boy was acting. In fact Buru was use to it. Ever since he was a medical trainee with Hissori, the big dog was used to cheer up sick kids, and give them some warm and comfortable in their final days and hours.

Buru always liked when an excited child came up to him though. His board muzzle slowly turning to stare at the point as if trying to process what he was going to say. Buru knew exactly what Sato was asking of the dog, but from the experience of life, the dog knew not to reveal how intelligent he really was. It was better to play dumb until the person revealed himself before Buru showed off how much of a darling he really was.

“Woof.” Replied the dog made to the question about how he was, as the dog turned to face the boy adjusting his seat on the dusty ground. His blue eyes would look up and down the dog as before the boy could ask anything else, the snow white wolfdog leaned over and gave the boy a deep sniff.

Even sitting on two feet, Buru had to lower his muzzle to smell the face of the boy, his icy blue eyes staring right through him as he continued to sniff at him then without really any warning the dog opened his mouth wide as he let his deep red tongue out and lick right along the boys chin to his forehead.

Behave Buru. “ The adult would say quickly as he saw Buru assaulting the young boy’s face with his tongue. With a deep baritone chuckle, the adult would nod some. “Yes, you can pet him, he as you can see is friendly. Hissori said as he adjusted the bag of alcohol.

Buru was a big dog. The biggest dog that Sato had ever seen, and he was right up close to him. He couldn’t help himself but let out a little giggle as he was sniffed at. The dogs face going right up against him as he was investigated with the same curiosity that the kid investigated the dog. It was a fair trade. For the most part.

He squealed as he felt the tongue on his face, his giggles turning to laughs as he took a couple steps backwards to stop the assault of the wet and warm tongue. It felt silly! The dog was silly. He put his arms up and hands wiped the slobber from his cheek and forehead quickly, rubbing them on his pants before he stared at the dog, not at all discouraged. He just wasn’t expecting that! Especially from a dog so big.

He grinned wildly at the dog and then to the owner when he said he could pet him, “Buru..” He said the name, “Burururururururu!” He said more playfully, liking how the ‘ru’ sounded the more it was repeated. It almost sounded like the red head was going to bark himself with the RURUURURU or something like that. “That’s a fun name!” He told the stranger before eyeing the dog. Time to get him back for all the licks!

With that thought in mind Sato jumped into action, he’d launch himself at the huge dog, and if the canine didn’t move, he’d hug him! Hug him as tight as he could, his arms going around as much of the dogs sides as he could reach. Fingers dug into the fur as he buried his face into the canines chest, “Burururururururururururu!” He exclaimed just being silly now as he rubbed his face into the warm and white fur of the dog. He was really soft and nice and warm…

“Does he know any tricks?” Sato asked, daring to remove his face from the fur long enough to look over to Hissori to state his question.

"How did you get him to carry your bags?

"Can he carry other things? He is really big! Did you have to feed lots of milk to get him to grow up to be so big and strong?"

"Have you ever rode him? Does he like giving rides?" The kid had lots of questions.
