Brief description: A member of Kushin's Harvester unit has been caught by enemy forces. Recently the Cloud village received a set of demands to be met if the village wants its shinobi returned. Proof of his capture was provided. The village council were unaware of any operation in the area that the Harvester was caught, Kushin being brought before them, questioned and then sent to deal with this personally (all of which will be included in the mission).
Combat: Plenty.
The town was a small place, but busy. Recently constructed wasn't the right term for it, it was still undergoing construction, but ever further from the center. Kushin had picked up a donkey on the way to the town to carry his bags and walked calmly into the place. He wasn't wearing anything special and with the exception of his green hair he blended in perfectly fine. People probably assumed him to be one of the many people who viewed the new town as a potential location for enterprise and profit. As he walked down a few streets he realized that that was exactly what it was.
A feeling came over him as though he was being watched. That wasn't to be surprising though as in the end they likely were waiting for his arrival. He'd continue as though he'd not realized it though. That would let them think he was weaker.
Asking for the barbers he finally found his way to a small shop front which led on to a larger property.
~ Bad Guys perspective ~
Business was going well. They had regular customers as more and more people moved too the city. In addition to their barber practice they also had ties with the more wealthy individuals who needed a bit of muscle here and there.
They were known as the Ryu brothers around town, and they had quite the reputation amongst the workers.
Two of them were in the front room doing their daytime work as barbers. Each had a man in their chair, and another was waiting his turn in a seat by the window. The other three were positioned around the village, waiting for anyone who looked interesting and matched what they could perceive as being a shinobi. A Cloud mednin should be making his way here by now. At least that's what their prisoner hoped.
Their earpieces crackled I see a potential entering the town now. Green hair. Hakushuku, what do you think?
Yeah, he has a donkey with a couple bags. Not big enough to be carrying what we want. Though if he's a shinobi they'd be sealed in scrolls. Harakara?
Look at him. He's far too toned to not be a shinobi. By his build I'd say a ninjutsu, maybe genjutsu specialist. Definately him.
So he'd arrived.
As he made his way to the barbers the two inside, Doubou and Douhou, finished their work on the three waiting and turned away others saying that they were busy. No questions were asked by those potential customers, only worried about who it was they were 'busy' with. Baruza-za landed behind Kushin as he entered.
~ Kushin's Perspective ~
A thud sounded behind him. Not trying to hide himself this one. Kushin gave a small nod and then looked inside. One was sweeping the floor while the other was leaning against the wall watching him.
Come inside. the one behind him said.
I need to know that my compatriot is in good health. Kushin replied, but was met by chuckles.
If he wasn't what would you do? To survive this you will do what we say when we say it. the man standing facing him retorted.
If you want anything in these packs you will show me my friend. Kushin said, his tone taking a harder edge, his hands flexing and cracking his knuckles.
Stopping his sweeping the third looked at Kushin, then at the other two Friend ay? He placed the broom against the wall This one thinks he wont crack. What a Chuunin. Anyone can crack, everyone cracks. Every ANBU knows this. Anyone of Jounin rank knows this.
Kushin looked at him I want to see my friend.
Fine, fine, take him inside, he'd going there anyway. Show him his buddy.
Kushin nodded and was led inside, two more landings sounding outside. All five were here. Clearly at least one of them was an interrogator. It'd be one of the two wanting the Uchiha eyes, maybe both.
~ Fuka's Perspective ~
Pain throbbed through his ego.
Damn, if Kushin found out about this, well he would of course, but if he did... He'd be pissed with him. He'd be lucky to live through Kushin's wrath let alone this predicament. Perhaps it'd be best for him to simply die.
The door opened and he looked up from where he lay. His eyes wondering what was going to happen. He'd been left alone in here in bindings with seals all over him for weeks now, only food coming and going. It wasn't feeding time yet.
The face that met his gaze... his eyes widened in fear. Why... why would Kushin himself be here? Gulping re-actively he opened his mouth to proclaim his apologies, but shut up when Kushin shook his head slightly.
Don't worry. I'll get this part done and then we can leave together. The tone from Kushin was friendly. Was he really that angry? Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit. He nodded and the door closed leaving him in darkness once more. Darkness was his friend. It meant that Kushin wasn't there. It meant that he was safe. He had seen what Kushin could and would do on a whim. Those five had no idea.
The last thing he saw before the door closed was one of the brothers looked at him, looking into his eyes, seeing his fear.
~ The Ryu Brothers ~
Hey, he... Baruza-za began, but then shook his head. The others looked at him waiting for the rest. Baruza-za looked at Kushin Your friend huh? Kushin stopped and looked back at the man. It seems he was afraid for you. He must know the difference in our abilities. Baruza-za smiled. The others laughed. Kushin even smiled a small smile, he couldn't help it. Adrenaline was pumping through his system and the excitement was intoxicating.
Anyone would be worried for their friend in this situation. He said, his voice jumpy as he spoke, the anticipation getting the better of his calm demeanor.
Leading the man through to a larger lounge area they had prepared for the arrival of the Cloud mednin. They had sheeted with plastic an area and purchased an operating table for the procedures to take place on. No equipment though, they'd assumed that the mednin would bring his own stuff.
What's your name?
Kushin. I'm trained in these types of surgeries.
~ Kushin ~
Shall we get to it? He asked.
No, first you unpack the money and the weapons. This one seemed to be the one in control. Kushin turned to face him.
I will unpack those after my friend has been freed.
You will do so now.
No. I will not.
The leader of the group nodded to two others who moved closer to Kushin. So this was going to erupt sooner than Kushin had thought. Two others moved to the donkey and unpacked the scrolls.
They're sealed and are done so that only he can unseal safely.
The leader looked at Kushin. A moment of silence between the group descended as the leaders glare met Kushin's calm eyes. Things were building to a peak and that calmed him. His previous nerves and rush had washed over him, and he was through that and was ready for anything, he would react appropriately to their every move. He just regretted that they were doing this now.
Okay. Perform the surgeries first. Then we'll sort out the rest. Kushin nodded and moved towards the area set out.
The leader nodded to one of his brothers who moved to the bed and lay down.
Which one is it for you?
Hyuuga.
Summoning one of the Hyuuga eyes he set that aside and went about the surgery.
It was one of the easier kinjutsu procedures and so it was over quickly and easily. They watched his every move and after it was done Kushin placed a patch over the eye saying You wont be able to activate it immediately. You'll need to keep the patch on to make sure that it heals. Which was kind of a lie. These procedures were almost always instant, yet with the micro-chakra bombs implanted he'd be unable to even see out of it let alone activate it.
They seemed to believe him though and he performed the surgery another three times. Everyone except that the leader had gone under. Yet the leader hesitated. How long do they take to work? he asked.
Kushin realized that he could be found out here. How long should he give...
A day. he said, hoping that the man wouldn't realize the truth.
If he removed the patch now what would happen?
He could lose vision in that eye permanently, making it worthless.
There was hesitation.
We'll wait a day then.
Shit.
Kushin formed a handseal. If he was going to wait then he'd end up being aware of Kushin's lie. In fact they might check it while he rested, or before Kushin was aware of their checking. At which point that would mean he would be caught by surprise. This was the best way.
The bombs exploded in the four faces.
The leader launched forward at Kushin, a blade appearing in his hands as he took a slash at Kushin, who sidestepped the attack while bringing his other hand up and began forming seals. He didn't have his pen or any paper with him, indeed there weren't any in the room. So Ink and Paper jutsu's were out of the question. With his scrolls in the room with so much yen and weapons inside them he didn't want to use fire, lightning, wind, blood or water jutsu as those might destroy the scrolls. It left him only with Earth and Radiation.
A Gamma Ray erupted from his right hand firing at the leader who reacted with a barrier. Kushin smiled, he wasn't to know what Kushin was about to cast as the beam completely bypassed the barrier and slammed into the shocked man. A cry of pain came from the leader as Kushin maintained it for a few seconds having the beam scorch the man brutally.
Yet the others were beginning to recover, some faster than others of course. Kushin drew his blade, aiming for the leaders throat, yet hitting the arm as the man was fast enough to partially block the attack. Snapping the blade off inside the wound Kushin dropped the hilt and the second blade fell into his hand in time for him to slash across the mans back and ribs.
A series of slices ripped across his back as the first of the others regained his composure. Kushin grabbed the arm of the leader who erupted in new slashes, Kushin's own open wounds disappearing as he spun to face the attacker. Half his face was burned, some of the skull around the eye had been broken as well. Kushin enjoyed the sight and stepped backwards quickly as the man advanced on him. As the enemy passed his dying brother his head turned to look at him, making sure he was okay, but that was all Kushin needed.
Reaching his arm behind him a coating of rock encased it as he shot it forward in an attack, slamming into the mans shoulder, he could feel through the Fist of Gaia that he'd broken bone, though the coating crumbled as well his hand shot back and as the other raised a hand to the injured area with a cry of pain Kushin used an enhanced Earthern Magnitude, the ground trembling and slamming against the four who were beginning to get their shit together to attack Kushin. Yet now they were off their feet.
Leaping over the two most injured opponents Kushin once more formed seals hitting Petrification on one of the three, yet in reply he was hit by two blasts, one Raijin's Vengence slammed into him while a burst of flame shaped as a dragon smashed into him, setting him on fire. Damn, these kind of attacks were more effective against him that the attacks from blades. On fire Kushin quickly utilized douse to put the fire out.
Pulling a readied scroll out he unsealed his crossbow. Lightning leaped around it as he leveled it and began rapidly firing explosive tipped shot after explosive tipped shot. Diving in opposite directions the pair dodged most of the shots. Kushin demolished the wall behind one of them with the shots, his face grim with determination as he fired. The sound of the chamber emptying meant that that surprise had been done.
Tossing the crossbow away he realized that he was about to be attacked from multiple directions. Summoning an earthslide wall he heard the explosions smashing across it. What was he going to do... he had to come out of this and surprise them... the longer the fight went on with them regathering themselves the more Kushin realised he was going to struggle. Forming seals he cast a jutsu and then released a series of smoke bombs.
They all only had one eye, they were all hurting, as much if not more than Kushin was. The earthslide wall crumbled and fell around him. It was time. He formed the seals and once more let loose a Gamma Ray, this time one from each hand blasting two of the remaining three enemies with the full force. The third was armed with a sword, something he could handle. But he watched as the other two collapsed. The blade sliced through his back tearing flesh and muscle to the bone and he collapsed.
The last man standing stood over Kushin You thought you could beat us all?
Kushin's slices dissipated and once more he transferred his wounds to the enemy. Though that meant that he could live, it didn't mean he wasn't in pain. The man standing above him felt his back open up like Kushin's had been and flinched. Fuck you. he said as he raised his blade.
No. Fuck you.
Kushin smiled and looked up at the man who's face now distorted and turned around to face Fuka.
~ Fuka ~
It began, explosions at first then the sounds of men crying out in pain. Kushin was unleashed on them and Fuka could only feel sorry for them all. There were five of them, and chances were that Kushin would have issues dealing with them all at once, but knowing Kushin he had a plan. More cries of pain, the sound of the ground shaking, bone breaking. From this distance he couldn't hear peoples thoughts but the smell of blood was filtering through the door. His chakra was sealed and so he couldn't activate his byakugan to watch. Many small explosions, Kushin had brought out his crossbow. Tearing of floorboards and explosions. He didn't know who was attacking and who was defending anymore.
Yet then the door opened. Kushin was before him. Surely it wasn't over... the sound of pained screams rippled down the hallway confusing Fuka further.
Kushin walked into the room and knelt beside him I got a clone out without their realizing it. You're going to be my cavalry.
Fuka smiled. Clearly Kushin was feeling the pain to bring him into the fight. But it was still a good move.
Being untied he moved to the main room. Chakra filled his system and he released his full powers as he entered the room. Fingernails lengthened, Byakugan activated, and demonic aura filling the room.
You thought you could beat us all? the man standing above Kushin said. His top suddenly erupting in blood, Kushin had passed on his wounds, an ability of his clan that Fuka feared. Fuck you. the man said in responce, stumbling ever so slightly.
But Fuka was ready now, his Jyuuken stance in place. The man would feel the full force of the Hyuuga and Inuzuka bloodlines combined.
No. Fuck you.
He launched his assault, destroying the man as his fingernails pierced the skin while blasts of chakra ripped his chakra system to shred. After the 256 hits tore into him he flew across the room.
Kushin stood his hand healing his wounds. Three men lay near death around the room, a fourth dead, and the fifth frozen in an earthen technique. You haven't killed any of them. I'm surprised with you Kushin.
A glance ripped through him and he felt the harsh gaze of Kushin, as strong as ever put his knees almost into a tremble You have caused me much grief. They live to give me something to take that anger out on.
Fuka gulped, nodding slowly.
Lets work on the strongest first. Help me restrain him and place him on that table. Kushin said, Fuka obeyed and as they grabbed the man he was released from his bondage. He struggled, but they tied him down to the operating table. Kushin walked away to pick up his favourite blade and then walked back.
You see this blade. This will bring about your death. But you need to understand that you could have avoided this fate. You could have ignored my friend here, and you could have let him go about his business. Now then... The blade lowered and the man screamed bloody murder.
Blood spurted out, Fuka watched, Kushin cut.
[Fade to Black.]
~ Kushin ~
A day or so later all was done. The room looked and smelled like a slaughter house. Fuka had left to continue his mission and Kushin left the town burning down the building. His donkey, money, the weapons all in tow. His job was done, most of his anger had subsided now. Not all of it. Time would deal with that, and Fuka would have to do a good job of his mission. If he did that he'd earn back his life. Saving Kushin's certainly didn't count.
