Ame was born in a small town outside of Konohagakure. From the moment she was brought into the world, it had begun to rain. Every time she was overcome with emotion as a child, whether it be with sadness, anger, or joy, it would start pouring rain over the tiny town. So much so that the river nearby flooded multiple times and the families living near the water had to find a new home. When she was only three years old, her parents couldn’t handle it anymore. The bundled her up in a handmade cloth, given her a sack filled with cheese and bread, and left her near the gate of Konoha. It wasn’t long before a team of genin heading out on a mission found her and brought her to the Hokage. There, she was taught at her young age how to control her unique gift, which she later heard was referred to as a kekkei genkai, and was given to an older couple that could never conceive children of the their own. The couple was overjoyed to finally have a child and doted on Ame every chance they could. They spoiled her with toys, sweets, and every night would read her a different book until she fell asleep. When she was only ten, though, her new parents passed away. They were old and weathered and Ame had seen it coming. But it doesn’t stop the heartache of once again being alone. Not being able to stand living in the home on her own any longer, she moved into a tiny, rundown apartment. She lived off the help of her neighbors and kind strangers but none of that stopped the onslaught of bullies as she got older. She became withdrawn and cold, not wanting to talk to anyone. Even the kind people that used to help her when she needed it. She continued to lose herself in books, holing herself up in the library and taking on small but odd jobs so she buy books of her own. When she reached the age of twelve, she decided she wanted to become a woman of medicine. But to get there, she had brave the depths of the academy first…
