Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Takeshi allowed himself to sit there, the Dojo of the Uchiha clan house had seen a lot of people come threw its doors, though the real question would be how many more hopefuls would fall before they became learned to pick themselves back. He taught people who where willing to learn, and he would always be there for those that wanted to show a thirst for knowledge, he had been busy of late and today just gave him time to step out of the office and back into a teaching environment. This was truly something that he missed doing and wished he could go back to.

Takeshi allowed himself to leave the doors open as he walked threw the dojo, admiring the old decoration and tradition of his clan. He knew full well that times had changed since those old days and was willing to come to terms with the situation and accept that things had changed for the Clan and even for himself. It seemed that he would need to see the power of yet another Academy Student. They would be tested and the potential of them would be judged, this was the plan that Takeshi had for anyone that walked inside of the Uchiha Dojo.

Walking back to the end of the Dojo he grabbed a seat and allowed a smile to come to his lips for those few seconds. Now he would see how long it took for the invitation to arrive. He waited, allowing himself to ponder what to teach during this meeting, he wondered what the best course of action would be and what the mind of the student was willing to learn. He would only put as much effort in to people as they gave back, this was his vision for students and he knew full well that Kou was the focus of his training today.

Kou was on a late on her start of the day which threw her off completely. She had skipped breakfast and her early lunch completely as she saw that training was more important. She even forgot to grab one of her sketchbooks to write in for communication when she bolted out the door, heading straight for the Dojo of the Uchiha clan. ' How embarrassing! Im going to be so late!' she thought with a mental sigh as she dodged people, not hearing the yells and curses they tossed at her when she startled them or made them drop something of value. She couldn't even apologize even if she wanted to.

She arrived at the dojo 15 minutes later. Her hair was a mess and a bad case of bed head. The running didn't help its case and made it more wild. Her cheeks were a flushed red and her brows were covered in sweat. She was still wearing her Pj, A black baggy shirt that had multiple bleach stains and holes in it for wear and tear. Like always, she was bare foot, never liking the feeling of cloth against her small feet as it felt foreign to her even when she was a baby. She never liked it.

"Im sorry Im late! I over slept! It wont happen again!" Kou signed quickly with shaky hands as she gasped for air, her lungs being greedy for the oxygen it was deprived from.

Takeshi instantly noted the new arrival to the Dojo, it seemed that someone was running late though he would not say anything about it. He studied the new arrival for first impression, young and a bit later so far that first impression was not going well but maybe she would be able to answer a few questions to change things around. Though that would be down to how the conversation went. He allowed himself to lean back slightly as he tilted his head to the side and studied her before speaking next time, it seemed that he carefully brought the sentence together he wanted to ask questions first.

“I will ignore being late on your first time meeting me, but I expect to have some questions answered. So, first question that comes up is what are you looking to achieve inside of the village, and I would prefer a real answer not just one of those made up ones that people give.”

Takeshi allowed his words to echo around the room, it seemed that he was going to be asking a few more questions before he just went silent. Though the real question would be what Kou made of all of this. Would she give him a straight answer, or would she be lying to him? He had heard the dreams of students, but the ones that always caught his attention was the ones that told the truth as they wanted it. The ones that knew what they wanted to achieve and would be willing to go the extra mile to get it.

“Have you considered branches that you would be looking at. What you want to do and what speciality you wish to train in, that would be something that everyone should consider. I started mine as an Academy Student. I decided that the ANBU Branch would be for me and I followed my passion.”

[TWC:628/1,500]

Kou stared at Takeshi for a few long moments. Her breathing had returned to normal as she thought about her answers. Her normal gentle expression turned hard and serious the deeper she thought. Her head tilted to the side as she shrugged "I have no clue I want to do in the village. Im deaf so I dont think I am suited to be in the ANBU or in a war fighting for my village. I would just get in peoples ways and the death count will become larger than what its not suppose to be" She signed slowly, being careful of what she said as her expression changing to one of sadness, her bright blue eyes becoming a murky blue like a dirty pond. Her own truthful self-doubt filled words stung deeply into her soul.

"But I like helping people. I don't like seeing people in pain. I am already very sensitive to peoples moods which is why I get confused about my own a lot. Their moods become my own. Like a slow moving poison or drug. " She winced at her wording, it coming out much harsher than she thought or would like it to be"I thought being a medic would be a good choice for me. It somewhat fits my personality and my need to help people. I think. Im sorry I do not know where I want to be or have a set goal like you did and Ill probably be more difficult to train than those with hearing...I just want to give this a try. I dont have enough confidence to do...or try...a lot of things....And..... " she swallowed a lump that formed in her throat and she just dropped her hands, not wanting to continue that dark path of reality. Maybe she was wrong? Maybe she could be like the others but even better? Kou had no clue and she didnt want to set herself up for failure so she took the safe route. The safest route she could take that was still uncomfortable for her. Very uncomfortable. But she still had to fight. Even when she had no clue what or who she was fighting for. The small girl was honestly completely lost but the path that she was walking on felt perfect for her.

Takeshi allowed himself to look at Kou from the moment that she entered the Dojo he was already judging and assessing her, though more questions that he had the more time that would be able to see what was underneath. For most people that walked past Takeshi, that talked to him where those that always told half the truth, the part that they wanted to be heard, it was down to Takeshi to find out what the real deal was, and he would treat the students that came before him just like that. Today Kou would walk away understanding herself better than ever.

“Not everyone knows what they wanted to do, its not an easy question to ask someone so young what they want to do for the rest of there lives. It is something that I could not even agree on if I am being perfectly honest. Also remember that confidence comes with age, you need to understand that you will only learn to get stronger. When you start to learn confidence will follow you need to remember that and be aware of that. I am sure you will get the hang of it through lessons and guidance.”

The Hokage still hadn’t moved, it seemed this teaching lesson would be about self-importance more than anything else. Takeshi would be sure to have Kou understand herself as he allowed himself to stand up, he pondered for a few seconds before asking the question that would defy someone for life. It would be the base of what everything they did was for and the most important question Takeshi would ever ask anyone.

“What is it that made you become a Shinobi, what do you stand for. You personally stand for, what makes you fight on, grip the very controls of your life and drive forward Kou?”

[TWC: 933/1,500]

Kou soaked in his words, taking them to heart. Though his next question also stumped her. Why did she become a Shinobi? Was it because everyone else did it? Was it because it was expected of her? She didn't know. She didn't even know what she stood for. But that didn't stop her from answering him.

"I probably became a shinobi because of peer pressure. Almost everyone in the Leaf is a shinobi. I guess it's also expected of me to become one too. Both of my parents are shinobis. They didn't shove the idea down my throat but as a child, you admire your parents and their peers and you want to be just like them. As for what I stand for...My village or my clan. Its whats been hammered into my mind along with my peers. If we stand for ourselves that goes against our clan or village..we are deemed as a traitor and are hunted down like animals. Its unfair. I don't know what I personally stand for. I've never been told I could be anything else but a shinobi or a wife of a shinobi. Not many options you adults give us kids. Its like we are brainwashed. Disposable tools. Weapons to be used and broken over and over again." She sighed lightly her hands cramping from signing so much but she continued anyways"Once again, I do not have an answer. And even if I did, I would be too scared to give you it. I guess that's why people lie. Its out of fear of someone or something.....Are shinobis just tools for their village people who are too weak or cowardice to fight for themselves? Why do shinobis even exist? Whats our purpose? Why do we have to fight other peoples battles? Why don't people care for our well being? Why do children have to be robbed of their childhood and be taught to kill like its normal and okay to do? " she dropped her hands to her side and waited for answers

Takeshi allowed himself to remain calm, his face showing nothing but the small smile in the direction of the Academy student as he watched her reply to him. It was clear that the response coming from her was going to be a long one, but that is what was required. It would have to be something that could be accepted, something that she had to think about before just blurting out the reply without any thought of ramification. Takeshi watched her words being signed though it seemed that she was going at a million miles per hour right now, he tried to keep up with the movements and trying to understand all of it.

“Your life is never one that has to be set in stone, Shinobi are what we are, but that doesn’t mean we cannot live on adventure, visit countries see places that we never thought where possible, it is all about experiencing everything from your life. Never think we give you options you are the only person that can carve your own destiny, nothing and no-one can do that for you Kou”

Takeshi frowned at the use of the word weapons, everyone inside of this village was part of his family, he would never consider anyone just a weapon or a tool to be discarded when it broke. That already soured the mood of his day as he looked at her.

“Not everyone is brought to be a killer, each one has to learn something different. You must do what you want and believe me when I say that you can forge your own destiny. You need to realise you are not just seen as a tool. Shinobi exist in this village to keep peace, to forge relationships with other villages and to protect everyone. We do not fight other people’s battles for any old reason, we fight to protect, we fight to care for those that cannot do it themselves. You have your childhood, you are also given a full education. You can do with it what you want but remember that everything comes around in a circle.”

[TWC: 1,285/1,500]

She nodded, something inside of her that she was currently unaware of, was settled and put to bed thanks to Takeshi's words. She puffed out her cheeks as she massaged her hands, mouthing words that, if she could speak she would be grumbling about her hands cramping.

Once she was done, she started signing again, "When will we start training training? I feel like you're just solving my inner problems. I want to stay with my friends and insure their safety. I'm not good at fighting. I only have 4 working senses. Healing is the only thing I can do and am comfortable doing. I will only get in their way if I try. So please.....Stop trying to figure out if I am worth teaching and just teach me already."

Takeshi allowed himself to listen to her, it seemed the child had to learn her place as he frowned, the room behind Takeshi turned dark, he stood up raising himself to the full height as he looked towards Kou. The dark purple aura seeping from his as the room begun to turn cold, it seemed the aura of the Dark Sage was seeping threw the cracks of his normally calm persona. Though he looked towards Kou and never let the eye contact stop. The aura slowly allowed itself to continue to grow and develop it seemed that he was taking the words very seriously.

“What is the point in teaching you if you are not learning, how can you help others if you cannot even help yourself. Ninja’s on the battlefield without any ability to heal themselves cannot be trusted to heal others. And you dare question why I am teaching you this way, you do not understand the lesson. Understand why you must first understand yourself. Healing comes from within and that strength is inside of you. It does not come from around you”

Takeshi allowed himself to take a breath in as he allowed the aura to slowly start to seep back inside of him as he stood in front of Kou, he allowed a small sigh to come from his lips as he looked towards Kou pondering for a few seconds he tilted his head towards her. It seemed that he had been lucky with those he had trained so far their thirst to improve was always a key point inside of themselves. Though he had to finish what he started as he looked over to Kou.

“What do you want, I asked this before. Teaching you is pointless if you do not know what you want, what you want to achieve”

Kou was not affected by his dark aura. It seemed as if a lighter, much brighter aura surrounded the deaf girl protectively, almost as if large angel wings had rushed out and wrapped around her and mixed with Takeshi's, turning their mixed aura into a gradient. Her bright blue eyes turned a few shades darker, taking a light stormy color. It was as if the ocean was fighting the sky on a bright beautiful day with sharp icebergs floating on the edges of their war, threatening those who tried to escape and enter. She turned her eyes to his, holding his gaze silently, challenging him. If she held her Hokage's gaze for too long, he would have the sudden feeling as if he was drowning with no escape. A sudden feeling of a bitter coldness would nip at the edges of his soul, his very being, teasing him. Mocking him. How did a child learn to be so...so......

There was defiantly a strong fighting spirit within Kou. It was seen the way she currently stood her ground; Her feet were spread apart slightly. Her fist were bold up and firmly held at her side as if she were holding back the urge to punch Takeshi. Her nails, as short as they were, bit into her palm creating bloody crescent moons. Despite this spirit within her, there was another much stronger spirit floating within the girl. One that was warm and soothing, like a healing touch of a caring mother or the warmth of the sun after the bitter touch of winter. No questioning, Kou was defiantly a healer at the center of her being and she was too stubborn to back down from reaching that goal within her, not even aware that that was exactly where she was heading.

Takeshi allowed himself to look to the girl, there was spirt and there was heart there, he knew that much. Stupid and foolish heart and spirt though but she would need to come to understand why it was that way. He looked at her the green eyes vanished behind the red glare of the Sharingan as he contacted the girl. It seemed that she had a lot to learn, and though she did not want to back down sometimes it was the best thing to do. It seemed that she had the will of fire but now she needed to realise how to control that, how to develop that. It seemed that Kou has what it would take but Takeshi would only point her in the right direction.

“You have a lot of courage and passion, but do not mistake me Kou. I will drop you in the blink of the eye if you want to try and let this situation spiral. Remember to yourself and consider, could you really stand against me. Would you ever be able to hit me, that is what you need to ask yourself right now before you act.”

Takeshi allowed himself to pause for a few minutes as he allowed himself to smile. Knowing full well that he still had to try and give the student the best chance at learning an education. Learning to provide herself with the skills and the improvements that she wanted to search inside of herself and he would open that door in those few seconds. Before turning around to Kou he allowed a small smile to come across those lips.

“Kou, you need to find a teacher. I am recommending that you go and find Mikasa. Normally at the hospital she is the medical Sennin, tell her that I have sent you myself you will find the teaching and the studies to improve yourself. It will be hard but don’t give up on the hard path, you will stumble, you will trip. But the key is to pick yourself back up and stepping forward. Do this Kou and if you ever think you cannot go any further forward. I will be there to help you. Now go and report to Mikasa.”

Her eyes quickly returned to their calm warm waters of a bright blue pond as she smiled at him "I may not be able to stand against you now but maybe in the future I can. But I will have you know it, I will help everyone. Even those who you have turned your back to and will smite on spot. Everyone deserves help no matter what path they walk upon or if they have hurt me or my love ones. Its something that my mother taught me when I was very young and even more foolish than I am now." She nodded her head firmly before she bowed and straightened up "Thank you for your time. I shall report to Mikasa immediately." She had dropped her hands to her side, ignoring the damage she had done as she waited for his last words

Takeshi allowed himself to look at Kou, it seemed that she had come to the realization that she was now going to start to study hard. He allowed himself to smirk before heading out of the door of the Dojo, it seemed that she was going to give everything she had to heal people. Takeshi could admire that one as he allowed himself to stop in the door way, it was clear that he still could see that she was not just going to give in, that was good she had spirit and that was something that she would need to learn to survive in this place.

“Go and learn, I will check in with Mikasa and see how your studies are going, do not take this opportunity and waste it for it will not happen a second time. So I have would take the chance that you have been given and make the best out of it, otherwise you will simply throw away opportunity”
