Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

" Phosphorescent powders contain phosphors, which are little, naturally-fluorescent particles. When something is fluorescent, it illuminates when exposed to the right lights. You can find phosphorescent powders online, or at some craft and art supply stores. If you want your paint to be invisible in light and only seen when it glows, opt for a clear option, like an acrylic gel. If you want to see the paint in the light, choose an acrylic or tempera paint in a color you like. Place about 0.25 cups of phosphorescent powder into your bowl. Then, gradually pour about 1.25 cups of paint in, a little at a time, carefully stirring the mixture with a paint stirrer after each pour... That is so tiny! What the scratch. The luminescence in your phosphor-based paint is triggered when it makes contact with UV rays. The sun, ofcourse the sun what else a flashlight?!. It emits plenty of UV rays, so leave your paint by a sunlit window for about a half hour to ensure it glows vividly for as long as possible. Unsealed glow-in-the-dark paint likely won’t have much of a shelf life, so use it immediately after charging. Cover all kinds of objects in glowing paint by using a paint brush, spraying the paint on, splatter painting, or using another method of your choice. Then, turn off the lights to see how brightly each item shines!" He went over the instructions one last time before he looked over to the fresh made batches. He had around 12 buckets ready, all looking like regular paint colors.. Yet at night, they all would have different colors. The regular paint would last a lot longer then the UV paint inside, which was his prank. Something temporarly and not sticking for ages.

" I wonder if he will be ready for this..." The young teen muttered as he started to apply gravity jutsu to the buckets, making it easy to move as they became a lot lighter. He made his way towards the Kage tower and would hum a little song... A song from way in his past, unsure where he heard it from. "Uzu... The best shinobi in the hidden sands. or so say the rumors..." he muttered and would tug on the rope to bring the buckets closer. He now finally arrived to the Kage tower and would grin.. Part 1 complete... now part 2, have them paint the tower to give it a fresh look and at night.. spectacles! "If the kage tower stands out during the day, it is bad... and it must beupheld in a good shape for visitors to see."

An icy cold wind blew through the upper reaches of the rooftop Uzu crouched on, staring down at the newly erected Kazekage tower in all it’s splendor. True to the new owner’s tastes it had that “touch of Soon,” that represented the constituents that controlled their humble military village. To the legendary assassin who’s managed to pass through multiple generations beyond his own, launched into the future he should have died in some thirty yeas ago; it was a gaudy piece of trash.

The tower had a weird spiral to it. Colored ivory white it looked like a giant elephant’s tusk jutting out of the ground with a staircase carved into the edges to give it the twist he hated. At the top of the tower was a large golden ball topped with a set of jewels that reflected down onto the ground different colors like a keladiscope as the sun moved over their heads throughout the day. The golden ball itself was where Wei resided entirely, rarely coming out of the tower itself as he fortified the defenses of his own prosterier than work on the openings in their defense.

That was Uzu’s job, he vividly recall being reprimanded recently.

While they weren’t wrong, because Tama and Shin had asked him out of retirement to come shore up Suna’s defenses a year ago, the old assassin rarely took being rebuked well. Something of that rebellious spark from his youth ever remained there, and if nothing else his damnable pride refused to take being spoken down to by a man who couldn’t handle even the lightest pressure. He had personally seen the Steward throw his hands up in frustration, scream at his fellow ANBU while his personal guards menaced them from acting, and attack the non-military personal.

So, when he got an order to shame him - painting the Kazekage tower - only the most malicious of thoughts entered Toushin’s head. His first plan had been to mix paint with cactus sugar and see how well the Steward enjoyed chiggers; but then found outsourcing that amount of sugar would have cost him far more than he had to spend. Not without some big favors, and he was done owing people those. However, the last Uzu was a resourceful person if nothing else, and already had a back-up plan.

Toraono Ryota. The boy had been making some headlines in his office as a prankster, a hot-head, and a the definituon of a rebellious teenager. Uzu didn’t care why he was acting out, he looked at the kid’s knack for pulling pranks that would have gotten others murdered. The “paint job” Ryota had pulled on Akkuma’s infamous casino was something that should have seen a private hit squad on the lookout for the boy, but, be it either his relationship with Michino or some other intervention - nothing happened.

In his hands was a tool that could easily be exploited for Uzu’s petty whims. Pulling a few strings he redirected his own orders to paint the tower into a supervisory roll, and then specifically asked for Ryota. Made sure to pull him in on a day he was supposed to be relaxing or had plans so that the Toraono’s ire was peak, increasing the likely hood that he would try to pull some kind of prank; which is exactly, what the assassin wanted.

After all, if Ryota did a bad job all Uzu had to say was he was a shinobi, and just pulled one over on him. It would give the kid a little recognition, and give him a heavily desired revenge against a useless tyrant.

Another cold breeze blew by the older man as warmth began to mix in. The first rays of the sun began to streak across the dark sky, bringing forth the dawn. That’s right - Toushin also made sure to pluck the boy at the worst time of the day he could too! Standing up from his crouch, the man leaped off the building and landed on the ground without a sound, cloud of dust, or any indication he had jumped at all with a masterful control of chakra before slowly stalking up the tower to await his pawn.

The walk was a regular one, as he didn't wish to lose paint cans on the way. He was already making a plan to figure out how to do this... "I can create clones of myself... if I use gravity they can stick to the structure... I can tell through my mind what I want them to do. Worst case I can ask Isami to join me too..." he would glace to the side, as if he tried to look for his earring. "Hmm... I wonder..."

Rattling the cage inside he would wake up the beast that was inside. "What did you wake me for?!"
"just a little chatter and idea... I am about to meet someone super crazy."
"A battle?"
"Not... exactly?"
"huh?"
"Well... I will pull another one, but I have to do this behind his back. Kind of... I am going to paint the Kazekage tower, maybe under his watch, maybe he will help out without knowing what is inside this paint..."
"Inside the paint..?"
"I... Kind of hid glow-in-the-dark types..."
"YOU DID WHAT."
"Yup!"
"Do you want to get killed?! "
"I live day by day anyways... That way I cannot let anyone down.."
"You self-centered ego brat.."
"but... what do you think? I mixed many types so It will look strange and hideous."
"Just... survive..."
and with that he was pushed out. "hmpf... party pooper." He spoke out loud and finally got to the tower itself. "He ain't here yet huh..." He muttered and started to look at the buckets. Each had its own color written on and a symbol.

"If he ain't here yet... I might as well get preparation started..." And with that he would create a few handsigns. Soon there stood about 15 gravity clones. "Alright..."
each clone still held a piece of Ryota's personality... One already started to yawn when he heard that he had to work, another started a fight with himself. "OI!" The real one shouted and looked over, he sensed something that wasn't what he knew just yet. "You and your small ground will be painting the top size, you and your group middle and you with me on the bottom bit." He would comment and they all started to wine and continue. Until they too noticed someone.

"Please show yourself..."

Toushin’s slow wandering up to the Kazekage tower was entirely on purpose. He had hoped to let Ryota out pace him, giving the teen specific instructions to be there at that exact time. With his reputation he doubted the Toraono would refused, and hopefully that teen angst would continue to build. What kind of prank would Ryota preform? Exactly how far did Uzu have to push the kid?

He turned the corner and found something that did make him stop with sudden hesitation. Fifteen, clones. He wasn’t the chakra sensor type, so he couldn’t tell exactly what chakra element allowed the youth to create such a massive amount of clone work but it was impressive. No wonder the Toraono were such big shots. He had already been impressed by his future son-in-law a few times but, Michino was still a man who stayed quite close to chest with his power and actions. The assassin king had never fully seen that man fully “cut loose,” and thus reserved his opinion of the clan lord.

This kid though? Immediately Toushin felt a hundred plans explode into his mind. Ryota’s control over chakra was immaculate to split their power so many times without any sign of weakness between the herd and the master; not that he could tell which was which until the boy spoke. Uzu stepped out of the shadows to present himself to the asking, but despite his presence he continued to make no sound with his foot steps. The only sound coming from the killer was the whir of gears in his mechanical arm as he moved it behind his back to clasp his left hand as he moved into observe.

Toushin was a hateful looking man, and that wasn’t far from the actual truth as he contained an alarming amount of pent up rage. Long white hair tied back into a simple ponytail, a civilian outfit made up from a dark colored tucked in button-up, dark slacks, and dress shoes. His face was shaped by a neatly trimmed beard while golden irises floated in the eternal darkness of his blackened eyes. On his left hand, seen before it tucked itself behind his back, each finger was adorned with a different ring and jewel. Gold, silver, Takahashi steel, and platinum, with a ruby, emerald, topaz, and diamond respectively housed in each band. He looked nothing like the the rumors would suggest for the assassin part of his title; but he had the kingly image in spades.

Toraono Ryota, I assume? Good to see you here on time and already prepping. I expect it to be done within the hour,” he said in a stern voice while pretending the boy’s ability to summon 15 clones was the only reason that was even remotely feasible.
Oh, and I have already read reports of your antics. Rest assured if you pull something here today under my, eye…I will catch it. You have been warned.

Now to see what the kid had in mind…

A figure showed himself, but first... He spoke about his name. 'So this must be him...' He thought as he looked at the man in front of him. 'I think he is older than that brother is... and... uglier..? No... Maybe meaner..?' Out of habit, he started to show what he thought with his body ques. So he tilted his head, crossed his arms, and stared at the man a little frowning. Trying to puzzle out what kind of character he was. Slowly more clones even started to do it, while some others just crossed their arms behind their head and yawned quite big. There were just a couple that started to get the paint cans ready... mixing a few again to make sure that the paint wasn't going to split. "Yea... We are Toraono Ryota.." He tried to fool the man further by using we... and not the "I" mention. 'Sheesh... the more I look at this man, the more he screams trouble than that I do... Walking around like that, he sure gets the attraction of any new thug here..'

As if he would catch him... Those were the thoughts that already roamed through each of the heads of the clones. He was using him to get to this place... Knowing that he too needed someone higher up watching him. Slowly each clone would get into movement, the first set took a paint bucket tested their gravity onto the wall, and started to climb. As spoken through, they went from the top to the bottom. Sometimes they would switch a paintcan so they could do the other color as needed.

Each set of clones even started a little chit-chat as they started to get the job slowly done. "So..? did you meet her again?" One asked the other and you could slowly see the true nature of the boy. "Who knows... Wouldn't you like to know?"
"but then what about your brother?"
"What about him..?"
"Aahhhh there is our interest. We do see him high after what he did for us.."
"Better than that sly fox."
"Our hair color could too decide we are a fox.."
"Ehh... It's red, not brown-orange.."
"Till we dye it."
"Oh hell no..!"

"So.... What are you thinking about..?"
"When is this torture going to end..."
"Really..?"
"That... and I want to go back to my music playlist."
"What are we listening to..?"
"I wish it was more rock... but we have limited of that."
"Ehh... that is true.."

"...?"
"...." *shrug*
"..!"
"...?"
*both look in shock.*

"Did... we actually do that?"
"If you are talking bout getting on Micchi's edge... Maybe?"
"i mean..."
"Uuuhu... We did do that... Not sure if he figured it out tho... We were pretty sneaky.."
"It was just glitter..."
"Yea... but we did it in his shampoo..."
"We did match the glitter color to the shampoo..."
"yeah..." *smile*

"It's a new painting technique... Last time we kind of made it terrible... so now we do a bit here, bit there, then smooth it out using the x cross technique.. almost like those grannies."
"So like this...?"
"Yeah... Exactly! This way you spread it more even and you get this cool like texture."
"Ahhh... So then it's also just repeating two strokes... INstead of up and down, a dash left, a dash right and going like a fishbone..."
"... x technique sounds cooler..."

One set was just humming along until they finally got their section done. The real Ryota was making sure that, with the many paintbrushes, he would make a 'finishing coat' and make all sorts of stripes. Slowly the work was getting done and it would show that it was almost a natural kind of painting job. After the hour, the clones would dissperce and the boy would be found sitting on the floor... Drinking from his water bottle that sadly had become warm water. Sticking out his tongue he would look towards the place. "Not bad huh..." At first glance, it would look like a regular paint job... but at some parts Ryota did the 'touch up' so that the drawings would turn a lot better and more prominent. "Now it just needs the sun to dry up... Can't do much more about that." It would also be a lie, that he wasn't low on chakra... because this boy totally was right now.

As and if night would fall... all kind of drawings would slowly turn visible though.

Disappointment. That was the first taste on his tongue. Toushin kept a hawk’s eye on the young Toraono expecting them to do, something, but nothing ever came. Nothing ever happened. The boy and his multitude of clones simply…painted the tower. At least, as far as the old assassin could tell, that was all that happened. With a disgusted sigh of resentment towards the Demonbeast Clan, he waved Ryota back home and made his report to Wei’s lackeys. They were just as upset as Uzu was but, for different reasons. Wei had entirely intended for the assassin king to paint the tower himself and suffer some degree of humiliation. The fact that he had subversed the orders and hoisted them upon some random Genin upset the Steward so much, Toushin’s pay would be cut for the remainder of the year. One part to pay Ryota for his services, and then the rest as punishment.

Money was nothing to the Uzu; never had been. He only ever needed enough to survive but always found himself having more than want.

The sour mood sent the older man back into his office to begin drafting new orders to shore up defenses around Suna’s main entrance, and to start collapsing old sand worm tunnels so that ner’do’wells could stop entering the Underground to participate in a rising Black Market. He doubt they would get anywhere, because these were the exact same orders he had sent in that got him painting duty; yet Toushin could care less. Their village’s Iron Defense was weakening due to lacking man power to hold the walls securely. At the very least, they needed an automated system to take on flying invaders. The Takahashi Clan no doubt even had an idea, just needed the government to green light the project on the matter of legality, (such a prestigious clan already had the funds and materials).

After signing his name on the sixth order request to be filtered through Wei’s Bullshit, he picked up the stack of forms and placed them within a small briefcase. Stepping outside of his office in the ANBU quarters, he placed it just outside of his door and closed it; a few seconds later another masked member walked by and picked it up casually. Toushin ran his branch of the military much like he did the Underground - secretly.

Now that was done with, he decided to assuage his deep anger with a cup of hot coffee. The pot in the corner of his office was always full, always hot, and rarely needed to actually be changed due to the glass container itself having been made of a myraid of chakra crystals that kept the beverage within hot, fresh, and drinkable no matter when Uzu finally got to pouring a cup. Point of fact, he was pretty sure that this was the exact same brew he had made almost a year ago when he moved back in.

Toushin managed to get a single sip before his eyes had caught the time of day. Dusk had already began to settle onto the desert world and a cold breeze rattled his window for a moment before his keen eyes caught the tower…

…and his coffee flew from his mouth to coat the glass window.

All over the tower were murals of a fish, hands shaking together, neon-glowing words that the old man could understand if he tried. But what really caught his attention, what made his mouth fling bitter bean water across the opening into his office, was the pig near the top that just stated simply: kage.

For the first time in at least two decades, Uzumoreru Toushin laughed hard enough to make his sides hurt. Toraono Ryota had managed to actually pull one over on both the Assassin King, and the Steward.

Ryota could not help it grin. It seemed like this man did not catch on to the plan. A sweatdrop would fall from his face as he wiped away the rest. "Guess I should get going huh... ossan..?" He grinned and would pack his stuff to get going again...

Fade to black
A laughter was coming from the young tarano's place. To be more exactly the rooftop. "Whahhahhaa, see. SEEE isame?!" The contract would be sitting beside Ryota also laughing at the figures that had been slowly representing themselves. "This is so amazing, I wish I could see that oldie face right now." Ryota chuckled stuck in laughter. "Haaah... if we see the next light of the ay, what should we do then..? Something less exhausting tho..." He commented and muttered as he drank half a bottle in one go. 'Pfuwaaah, this beer sure is the best! "
