Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Re: Hikuidori's FAQ

Advanced Element: Wood
Every element can compose itself to create an even greater element. We live in the power of Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, and Lightning. The raw energy of Chakra itself sits at the middle of the spectrum giving light and beginning to each of these elements. An element-less form is probably the most powerful form of chakra. I however was not blessed with that natural talent of no element. No in fact I was raised around two very common and life fulfilling energies. The power of Earth and the power of Water, were living inside of me naturally. I could feel the energies in the earth easier than most, like a faint murmur from Mother Nature herself. I could feel water more faintly than I could earth but it was still there welling inside of me like a calm stream. I think I was at tranquility with these elements for two reasons. One being that these elements together formed the Element of wood and nature. I as a descendent of the Yamanaka used flowers, as a weapon. I could always feel at peace around the flowers constantly loving the energies they gave off. The second reason would be the power of my genjutsu. It called for the power of the mind and I knew a small sense of tranquility. I could tap into my zen, into my calm state and in turn I could use that as a weapon within my genjutsu. Nature had it’s own natural calm it’s own place of peace and by using the same laws I used my genjutsu by maybe I could tap into it as well. As a child it was clear to me what elements I was most accustomed to the chakra paper test only cemented that idea when a paper became soggy and the other crumbled into dust. You had to love the obvious things in life it definitely gave us some type of peace. I would begin my elemental training with the flowers we grew at our home. They were nature and as close to wood as I would get down here. I began probing them with chakra enhancing the way they grew and moved. It was just like doing the Floral Razor jutsu that Yamanakas were so known for, but you had to keep the form solid you had to stretch it but keep it stable. I practiced that for weeks constantly keeping the flower together while expanding it beyond it’s normal proportions. I had to put out as much chakra as it took for me to use a jutsu but still the flower only would grow and stretch 2 meters not nearly as large as he needed it for. Plus the thickness of the flower didn’t grow very far. At this rate he was just killing flowers and not making any progress. I needed another agent, something else to help the flowers grow and form the plant/wood jutsu. The earth was a perfect target the very thing I was in tune with more than water. By using the Earth as a catalyst for the flower maybe I could form the wood jutsu. In weeks to come I began working on my theory manipulating the water inside of the plants that were still ingrained and using my chakra to manipulate the earth around them. The two chakras mixed together using the plant as a base to spread their power through. I had focused mainly on creating something out of the flower to show my progress, and eventually a wooden stalk grew surrounding the flower in an armor like case. After months of progress I had finally made a breakthrough in my own progress of learning Wood Jutsu. This process would be expanded so I didn’t have to rely on using a flower to do the wood jutsu but this first step would be all I needed to be proud of myself. It was the giant leap for my shinobi career.

[WC: 659]

1. Quickdraw
In a world full of weapons being the guy to take yours out faster than your opponents were always the way to ensure a victory. In order to ensure that I would have to train every day, every night at pulling mine out before the enemy could get to theirs. I found flowers to be an adequate weapon, especially chakra infused petals that would multiply from a sealed pouch. I practiced charging chakra and quickly grabbing a few flowers from my pouch to throw at my targets. It was all about being able to get to the draw and it didn’t matter how fast you could throw it. As long as you could get to it first you could begin, and crafting a trigger finger while nullifying some of the timed drawbacks was the best way to do it.

2. Strategist
An essential part, if not the most important part of being a shinobi was planning. One could never accomplish anything without a solid plan. I liked to account for everything I could possibly account for. I don’t know everything and I have a high suspicion I never will. However that does not mean I’m without hope. I began accounting for everything in my arsenal. For example my projectiles of choice were flowers. They weren’t just normal flowers; the edges were chakra reinforced, destructive on the outside as well as the hand crafted poison inside each one. They would be called from a belt pouch with a storage seal inside of it allowing me usage of an excessively large amount of them. Each one would break into a large amount of petals which would attack my enemies in whichever pattern I chose. It’s just one of my many tools that have numerous usages.

3. Healing Factor
In order to prepare for battle one must be ready to lose their lives. My life would always be on the line but with the power of chakra and knowledge you could become an unstoppable force on the battle field. I was prepared for the pain my opponents would deliver me but I was not ready for the healing process. I needed an immediate way to keep myself alive, and the idea came to me, use herbs. But just eating herbs with healing properties wouldn’t mean much if I didn’t apply the force of nature that made things react in different manners. Chakra was like a life force of its own and using it I could pull out the potential of the plants to a higher degree. By digesting these chakra infused herbs, I theorized I could potentially garner healing agents in my body at all times. In a few months time we would see if there was any progress in this experiment.

- 4 Months Later -

It had been four months and I had been eating the chakra infused herbs weekly. Different species but all had the same goal. I had noticed slight changes in my healing patterns, and as time went by I realized that the pain from my wounds were leaving faster than normal. I was thrilled, the procedure was a success, nothing like a little chakra (magic) science to keep things interesting. If I keep this up then I’ll be able to successfully have a permanent small scale regenerative quality.

4. Stalker
A ninja’s most revered, and historic weapon was the shadows. The power of not being visible, not being detectable was the strongest power that a shinobi could obtain. In my mind it meant that I lacked a great ninja tool if I did not have the power and knowledge of using the shadows to become stealthed. A skill like this came from experience and in order to train this skill I would do tasks such as tracking, infiltrating and investigation. People believed only ANBU needed to be in the shadows, but if you ask me every shiniobi should learn to love their dark mother.
Every day I would stalk the dark places of Sunagakure looking for those harmful minded individuals. I’d concentrate my chakra enhancing my vision and my mind’s prowess to seek out any lingering presences. I was a natural my father ensured me that talent ran deep into my blood. He did not lie, as these targets never saw me coming. It was time to step up my game and practice on other shinobi. I hoped the female shinobi’s locker rooms enjoyed being raided.

5. Projectile Aim
Being able to draw a weapon fast didn't mean anything if you couldn't throw it. My projectiles, my flower weapons, they were stronger than iron, and could heavily nick steel leaving small gashes in the metal. Target practice was a basic function in order to increase your aim and the best practice I could muster was to have targets set up that resembled humans. If I used dummies that were human like, I could attack the vital points and practice hitting there constantly. My aim would become sharper and I’d instinctively know where to hit. Being a marksman was no grand tour but my lineage held a reputation up with these skills and I would nurture this skill as if it was a growing flower.

6. Jutsu Mastery
I wonder if these skills we shinobi learn come too quickly sometimes. It’s as though natural selection chose us to be something more in this kind of world. Jutsu were skills infused with chakra allowing us people to do some pretty amazing things. The Yamanaka clan had a plethora of mind based jutsu, and jutsu to control flowers through the power of chakra. I practiced my jutsu with my father and something you practiced allowed you to become better at it. In my case I would practice my genjutsu to a point where it came as natural as breathing. I expected my skills to be pushed to the limit to be constantly challenged by my father, and they were. He used all my senses against me and constantly pushed me to become stronger in some aspect in each exercise. Using my chakra became a natural everyday skill and to be a genjutsu master you had to at least get your chakra usage to that level.

7. and 8. Illusionist and Shattered Reality
Genjutsu was an art of the mind and in order to be the one on top you had to have more will power and a greater control of chakra. My genjutsu was at an all time, I had the raw willpower for it and I kept my senses in check. I was angry sometimes at heart but I always channel that rage into something constructive. Something worthwhile, something worthy of creation. Genjutsu were just illusions but that in itself called for some form of creativity. I loved my genjutsu they allowed me something that other skills couldn’t, full scale perception and creative control over my opponent. If they could prevent the genjutsu well that was something that would definitely call for my taijutsu to be played. Even in the land of genjutsu you had to be proficient in an aspect something that would tip the scales in your favor. Some people used fear, some used love, some compassion but me? I choose to use it all. I choose to use whatever means of perception I can pull out of my opponent and use it against themselves. Whatever they feel, they can have. I’ll let my enemies contain their false sense of confidence and purpose. I’ll let them feel what they want to only to shatter it in front of them entirely. Using Genjutsu is more than just tricking the mind into feeling something, it’s about breaking the opponent down at their core. To be able to bring the best out of them, crush it, and then tell them to try a new best only to have it repeat itself. In order to be a genjutsu master you have to know how to break. I know my parents would never agree with me using Genjutsu to break my opponent’s mind, but they’d have to be fools not to see the value in knowing how to. There were just too many variables in reality, but in my genjutsu I held the cards.

[RP is 200+]

9. Summoner (Pit of Crimson Tears, Steel Dragon)
I loved to create things if that wasn’t evident by now. Story building, art, sculptures, gardening, all had an important sense of creation and I appreciated things like that. However jutsu creations were something more complicated than most could believe. It took an extreme level of concentration and most people could not conjure more than one creature of creation. I remember reading a story about a woman who could create ten different battle creations at once who would mutilate her enemies for her. I didn’t want anything as destructive but being able to hold more than one would be a great show of power and concept. I was using my wood ninjutsu more and more every year creating a reason to make it as powerful as possible. I chose to create a venus flytrap to grab my enemies and grind them alive in it’s wooden maw. In addition to that I would create a dragon out of my flower petals that could destroy my enemies with thousands of flower petals all poisoned to the points. I loved my power to create and I would keep it in perspective every time I used them. They were more than creations they were extensions of me. That was my way of empowering them more than normal.

11. Shinobi 101 Genjutsu: Wood Element
The power of the wood element came to me in my younger years. I decided to expand upon it, creating settings while I put someone in a Genjutsu in order to play with their mind even further. The subtle things that happened in the outside world definitely played a part in someone’s mind. These things pursued them, badgering them to believe it was really there. Creating the settings but doing so In their mind was an even greater asset to be able to use. I believed strongly that in order to create something you had to destroy. So destroy my enemies, and create something, at the same time were always things that appealed to me. In order to create the wood element constructs, you had to have a sense of tranquility within you. The synchronization of two elements, and further more to cast a Ninjutsu but target the opponent’s mind well that had to be accomplished upon the basis that one was using a form of mental melding. I would strike their minds with genjutsu to throw their sense off and cast my wood ninjutsu almost immediately hurting them further. The power of the Wood Element would polish my creations while my Genjutsu destroyed the targets. A wonderful combination.

Projectile: May naturally inflict Bleeding Or Suppression OR may use Handseals while armed with a Projectile Weapon.

I thought due to this chart you had to choose one of the effects?

Because the Damage Type is Projectile, but I thought I had to choose one of those effects.

Re: Hikuidori's FAQ

10. Hyperactive
Things were never simple to the young Hiku. He always needed to something to do, something to expand on. ADD for ninjas was usually spent with a lot time figuring out how to do certain things. How to change the proportion of a jutsu to do a new effect. How much mental pain an average brain can take when assaulted by the Expose Mind genjutsu. Or even how to throw a dart in the center of a boulder. Oh there were many things to do but always so little time, so little energy, and Hiku had no problem in either of those departments. In order to keep his energies channeled on a better path he was always thinking of something, always trying to learn how to make something. See people took well after things they create, and part of the reason he could channel his excessive energy, was by polishing up on his wood ninjutsu. Anything where he could keep his mind at work and allow him a chance at making something new and exciting was a channel he needed. Being an overly hyper active though process shinobi didn't seem like a good combination in most situations

Final Ability slot! :D

Re: Hikuidori's FAQ

Denied, unless my math is off. I'm coming up at 112 for your total Class Modifiers.

90 - 10 + (2.5*5) + (5*4) = 112. Your HP/CP mods add up to 122. Please adjust accordingly.

Re: Hikuidori's FAQ

Class, Weapons, and Capped status all approved! Sorry for the wait. To be honest, I'll admit to waiting a little to make sure no more changes to classes were in the works >.>

[fontsize="12"]Abilities:
0. Shinobi 101: Genjutsu (Wood Element)
0. Main Branch: Journeyman
1. Quickdraw
2. Strategist
3. Healing Factor
4. Projectile Aim
5. Jutsu Mastery
6. Illusionist -> Puppeteer
7. Shattered Reality -> Master Puppeteer[/fontsize]

Here is where I applied for a Kinjutsu (Human Puppet) per the Ap I'd like to swap Illusionist and Shattered Reality into Puppeteer and Master Puppeteer. My application for my kinjutsu includes me training to learn how to use chakra strings fluently to open a door after losing my arms (being chopped off). The Puppet Master kind of came hand and hand with the Human Puppet application, but more so the end where Hiku receives his new puppet body and begins to train with it. Throughout the application he learned how to apply his old shinobi skills into puppeteering in order to grasp the concept efficiently.
