After a long walk through a desert, the mountains, and whatever else Ri went through but couldn't remember, he was finally home. It was certainly interesting, he almost died from heat stroke, dehydration, savages in the desert, and a mad scientist. All of these things that he would never expect in a desert, aside from dehydration and heat stroke. It seemed the only upside to the whole trip was getting to see the ocean for the first time, not that it was too exciting. It was basically just a big lake, but it was.. There, for sure. Kumo's gates were just as crowded as they always were, people coming and going out of the village to do whatever it was they had to do.
The shinobi approached the gate with his forehead protector clearly visible on his arm, and had his passport ready to be shown in case it was required to get back in. He would approach where the guards normally stood watch and wait for whoever came to check him back into the village so that he could do what he needed to then get on with his life. When a guard approached, he would greet them and hold out his passport, if it turned out he didn't need this, he would simply put it into a pouch on his side and get ready to travel back to his home.
