Finally the masked anbu made it back home. She can finally rest easy with the only obstacle being that she has to process through administration things and talk with the Raikage on international matters that are at hand.

There was a long big sigh coming from beneath the mask as as would approach the gates. "Hello. It is I, Nereid. I will need either a fellow anbu operative or the Raikage to validate my identification." Her own anbu mark that Mirō had given her so long ago before this diplomatic mission was the only way to prove that she is from Cloud without showing her passport and thusly defeat the purpose of being an anbu.

And a fellow ANBU operative was contacted immediately – thus was the procedure when dealing with this branch. A name linking to family or homestead could spell doom in the long run, and it was a rather universal practice nowadays.

Did Hon have the best memories and experiences with Yuna? Noooooooo? First time they met, he didn’t even know that she was an ANBU, and… he didn’t want to think back to that time. But he put his trust in her, regardless – that was what Ziren had wanted.

Therefore, when Hon arrived, he recognized her ANBU mark and proclaimed her name: “Nereid.” His blue eye was well-hidden behind his ANBU mask, but active it was at most times – a long-term Byakugan prowess that had taken years to hone. “Your identity’s confirmed. Raikage-sama will be notified of your return,” he declared, giving the green light for the gate guards to enable Nereid’s entry through the Dragon Tooth Pass.

Unless stopped by another gate guard for further duties, Hon would disappear in a blur – ANBU now had new troops to train, and much of that responsibility fell of him as one of the Captains in the branch.

Yuna would nod and be let in the Village. There was very much that she would need to catch up on, see how her father is doing.

But for now, business is business, she'll need to report to the Raikage and inform her of the situation so that she knows what to expect in the future.
