Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Having not seen his teacher for a while, the boy decided to come to the hospital to see how badly the Hyuuga was hurt. Maru honestly thought from how big he talked upon their first tutoring session that he'd make a fast recovery and would tutor him in no time, but it was clear the Uchiha did a little more damage than he realized. This was no excuse, after all he fought the Uchiha not too long ago and didn't need to lay up in a hospital bed. His injuries probably weren't THAT bad.

Walking up to the desk, the boy placer his hand on the counter then opened his mouth. “HEY! Do you know where I can find the Yukio Hyuuga? The man had been skipping out on our tutoring sessions and I'm sure he is just fine to get off his rump.” The young shinobi said, trying to figure out what he should say in order to convince the nurse to let him see his wounded teacher. “I'm… his favorite students. The best one he has! I just want to see of he is doing okay.”[ Maru said, trying to sound as if he was worried so he'd be more convince the nurse in letting him see his teacher.

The nurse was a bit hesitant in letting the boy see his teacher, perhaps the boy didn't know just how dire the injuries that the man had actually suffered. “Okay… but please keep your voice down, he needs rest.” the nurse said, the boy following the nurse who escorted him to the room of where the Hyuuga was recovering. Before the boy was allowed in, the nurse would open the door and step in. “Yukio, it seems that one of your favorite student came in to visit you.” the nurse said, Maru stepping into the room with a smug smile after the nurse announce his entrance. Leaving the two alone, the young shinobi gazed at his teacher. Getting a good look at how bad of shape was the Hyuuga really in.

“Well you look like your life is over, teach.”

Laying quite contently in his hospital bed the peace and quite he was enjoying was very quickly disturbed by the rather abrupt entry of his student, tilting his head to the side with some effort as the eye's of the Hyuuga glared across to him. "You know i wasn't expecting visitors today, however if you think that you can come here to be a pain you would stand corrected. Just because i am in a cast do not think me helpless" He wasn't sure how much of that was a bluff however, even Taijutsu as simple as buffing the properties of his Chakra were a strain at that moment in time.

"At least your dolls aren't here, your words of taunting enough, though i can only assume you have come here to do more than simply mock my condition." With a sigh and a huff Yukio seemed a lot more laid back than normal, the fact that he was having the opportunity to take a break was pleasant and as such his constant calm and serious persona was no longer constantly resting upon his features.

Quickly blowing a strand of stray hair off his brow he looked upon Maru's rather smug grin grunting in a rather irritated manner but such an act was quickly followed by a roll of his eyes having expected as much of his Student, some things never changed and he would most likely be one of those things. "So since your here your also going to give me a hand, what have i missed with so much going on i suspect i have missed quite a bit." It was true being in the hospital did not help his condition any further the lack on info coming in and out of the place was rather displeasing to the ANBU.

Trying to shift his body simply resulted in a cracking of his joint and him freezing up on the spot, safe to say his mood was not the greatest, moving his fingers to make sure he could still push the button that had been provided to him by Mikasa in case he needed anything to assist him in such a situation the temptation to press it growing the longer he stared at Maru.

The reaction the man had upon seeing that Maru was his visitor was expected as much, the Hyuuga put on a great show to show that he wasn't helpless. But it was hard to be threatened by a person with broken hands and who looked mummified. The boy gave a harsh chuckle at the mans remark to not look at him being helpless. “Man...he really did a number on you didn't he?” the boy snickered at his wounded teacher. “But you do know that I'm here to check on your condition right? Tempting as it may be to give you a good beating while you're bedridden, I was actually thought you'd recover a lot faster.”
The boy moved to come closer to the man's bed to stand over the Hyuuga, if this man would've been a little more cold towards him, Maru would've might have been a bit crueler to him. But Maru really didn't have too much reason to make this visit most about insulting the man, however he terribly mistaken when he thought that the didn't have his dolls around. “Well while you're up in here there are a few small events that happened while you were away, one being that the same person who put you here I fought.” the boy said, rubbing his chin. "Heard from the Uchiha that you only lasted thirty seconds– let's just say I didn't do much better but I did get some curse seal thing which did help me heal up faster than you.” Maru mocked the man, turned his head to show the curse seal.

“Then my Kawaii got taken away, so to let off some steam I went to the hokage's office to retrieve my glasses and I called the hokage….” He tried to recall the long strand of insults he had called her, snapping his fingers when he remembered it. “A Fat-glasses-stealing-old-looking-nappy-haired-wet dog-smelling-dirty-claw-having witch. Then she snitched on me to the same Uchiha, but he offered to train me.” the boy would then shrug, leaving out a few details in that encounter with the man in the hokage's office. “So I accepted, then got Kawaii back, he left then I decided to turn everything in the wicked witch of the leaf’s office then leave a little note. That's all I can tell ya.”

The boy would then reach in his weapons pouch to pull out a pink, permanent marker. The smug smile came back to his face having the idea of drawing something girly on the man's cast. But then the young half demon eyed the button that his teacher had next to him, and Maru giggled. “I guess that button calls Mikasa no? Well I guess by the time she gets here I'll already be done in making you look pretty so you can try and call for help. I dare ya!" The boy snickered, removing the cap to the marker. "See what good it does you."

.... But one thing when the Hyuuga notice about when Maru was close enough is that one of the boy's eyes were a different color, the usual one eye was his normal eye color of being golden while the other was blue and almost seemed glassy.

His movements were not slow nor were they subtle as he pushed down on the bed sitting himself upright, it hurt the sensation of pain travelling up his spine bringing a slight sweat to his brow as his head moved in Maru's direction. Yukio was not pleased, it appeared the lesson Takeshi had given him was not enough to stop him playing these rather childish games as the atmosphere became heavy as injured as he may have been it was not enough to stop him projecting his Aura around the room. "Was that a threat Maru? do you think me so helpless that i cannot do anything." As his aura filled the room the ANBU cracked his neck trying to get into a fit state to move with some finesse.

The taunts and threats Maru gave were clearly not well received Yukio's mood being somewhat fouled having to remain in place for so long "As for what my teacher gave you whether you can actually use what i once had is questionable at best, i removed my curse seal a long time ago to achieve the power of the sage" He didn’t even attempt to make the effort to move his legs, standing was out of the question unless his hand was forced.

The topic of the Hokage made him raise an eyebrow before a deep sigh escaped him shaking his head. “You just love playing with fire don’t you kid. You do realise the more you push you luck the worse of your going to be in the end, at least try and show some restraint otherwise you become our problem to deal with and that won’t be a good time for anyone” his eyes tilted up meeting the eyes of the boy, as much as he would have liked to note the difference in colour for the time being he was colour blind the glassy look of his eye the only hint that something was different.

“Now please behave yourself and put the marker away, im not one to give threats you know that but do not think me so lax that I will let you get away with what you want forever my patience only goes so far.”

Maru watched in amazement as the Hyuuga began to sit up, from how he looked, the boy thought his teacher didn't have the strength enough to do so… Hell the boy didn't even expect him to even create an aura of chakra, that would soon fill the room. The boy smirked, he shouldn't have expected nothing less from someone who offered to tutor him. “Well teach you're putting on a good show. But if you’re in good enough shape to sit up and give off chakra then I’m sure you can take on a couple of my dolls.” The boy chuckled, waving the marker from left to right. His smug expression will later take on a irritated glance at the Hyuuga when he about him using some restraint.

“Hey, that is me showing some restraint. Honestly would you rather me threaten to write a few things on you in pink and pull a few childish pranks OR would you rather me shoot you full of senbon needles and destroy the hokage mansion?“ the boy said, closing the marker he placed the marker back into his weapons pouch to fold his arms. But of course, the reason of why he was there wasn't to make a fool out of the Hyuuga nor to mock him.

“Anyway, what the hell did ya do to get yourself in here anyway? Did your teach went too far in your training or what?” boy asked in the form of a question, but it sounded more like a demand. The Hyuuga didn't seem to be the kind of student that would do anything that serious to get him in the hospital, honestly the boy thought it might would have been some training gone wrong and the Uchiha had gotten a little carried away. But of course he could be wrong in that notion.

Rolling his eyes Yukio lay back down onto the bed it was clear Maru was trying to provoke him into getting up and standing before him to size up the students worth however the Hyuuga was in no mood to play his games "Look I'm guessing after getting a taste of my teachers power you want to see what your own teacher is capable of, but you'll simply have to wait and trust me i will show you why i deserve the respect i ask for" it was a quick statement but one that made his intentions clear as much as he would have liked to take the opportunity to see how his student had grown this was not the time nor the place.

He wished he could have brought an arm over his eyes to take a break in that moment the fact his body was still recovering making him miss his curse seal to a certain extent, but what he had given it up for was more than worth it. "Maru i would not be shocked if you had come here to attempt to assassinate me or try you little pranks. But please bear in mind where we are, there's more than just us here." With a gesture of his fingers he pointed out where they were the busy hospital not being the best place for such things.

His next question was one that made him tense in the cast, much to Yukio's displeasure, the memories of the incident still fresh in his mind. "What happened between me and Takeshi stays between us, i can tell you specifically do not lie to your teachers, however the exact reasons as to why will not be disclosed if you wouldn't mind poking into my personal life." Tilting his head back to the side to look at Maru he did have something to add, something that could interest the curious student.

"If it interests you however i did fight your" He paused a moment to think of the right word to use. "Rival? i guess would be the right word"

Standing over the man, the boy would watch as the Hyuuga would go from sitting up to lay back down. Maru was rather disappointed that the man decided to rest rather than getting up to show off his strength however it was clear that the Hyuuga was not interested in doing so. But regardless, the Hyuuga did offer to show him what he was capable of. "Alright Hyuuga, because you promised me last tutoring session that you're ‘not afraid to show you the real difference between the two of us.’ Let's hope that you will put your money where your mouth is.” the boy said, rubbing his eyes.

The Hyuuga was indeed right that if he was actually going to try anything, there would be a lot of witnesses around. After all they weren't the only ones in the hospital, but of course the boy had to explain himself. “First of all, why would I assassinate you when you're trying to help me?” Maru asked, although it was a rhetorical question. “Now that doesn't seem like a good enough reason to have you dead now is it. However your attitude does trump grounds for me to drop kick you out of the window. I mean what's the worse these people in here would do to me here, huh? Hit me with a mystic hand?” The boy giggled to himself, finding his clever joke on the medicalnin’s here kind of hilarious. It was clear that the boy did not care if others were here to witness his misdeeds, honestly he thought he'd probably would he able to scare them off at any given moment. It was clear that the more you threatened the boy would be the more he'd push for that someone to make good on that threat.

Regardless, the boy listened to the Hyuuga’s reason to what happened to him. As expected, the man gave Maru a vague answer, pretty much not giving the boy anything other than to not lie to your teacher. Just for the fun of it, the boy decided to break that lesson that the Hyuuga had gave him. “Oh do not lie to your teachers, eh?” The boy challenged with a devilish grin, seemingly what came next was his lie. “You know I saw the first hokage being reanimated then he decided to ride a unicycle backwards along the valley of the end along the waterfall.” The boy gazed from left to right, waiting for something to happen but then he did a fake gasp in surprise. “Oh yeah! My teacher is a little mummified at the moment.” Maru cackled. Although he was purposely being rude, the little devil actually was in a bit of a good mood. But then… the Hyuuga’s words of him fighting a person he'd call a his ‘Rival’ cut his good mood short. Cutting himself of in mid laugh, the boy would later look at the Hyuuga with a more serious look as if the Hyuuga said a forbidden word or something.

“Thats rather funny, I could only assume that you didn't even try to kill him didn't you.” The boy said, a demonic aura coming to him by the sheer thought of the his ‘rival’ as the man would say but Maru decided to correct that notion. “Rivals compete to show that one is better than the other in the same field Hyuuga. He is a enemy, honestly if I was in your shoes I'd crush his windpipe. “ the boy said as a hateful aura came to him.

Something resembling a shrug was Yukio's response to Maru it was clear the boy wanted Yukio to prove what he could truly do however there was little interest in such an event "I have nothing really to prove here, i wouldn't be a teacher if i didn't think i was stronger than those i taught. Thinking about it that was and the fact when you first met me you felt fear just looking at me i would say the difference is obvious." his tone was casual almost dismissive "As for insulting the med branch i wouldn't be so sure about your words"

if he could have brought himself to put the effort in he might have face-palmed at Maru's attempts to take his statement in a literal sense, safe to say he more than likely understood what he was being told but had decided in his usual Maru like way to turn it into a smug taunt an attempt to further antagonist him tilting his head to look out the window. "Look trust me when i say when you came against Takeshi you got off lightly your still able to walk and act normal, eventually it'll be drilled into your head eventually" his voice was quiet in that moment his gaze fixed out the window as he sighed.

The change in atmosphere caused by his mention of Suyashi however was something that made him raise an eyebrow it seemed that Maru's hatred for his rival was genuine but it went passed that a burning hatred to see another member of leaf fall before him as Yukio greeted Maru with a rather stern look. "Look at this point in time you are completely outclassed by Suyashi, at the end of the day he is stronger so if you really want to beat him you need to stop playing around and take this seriously. If i'm being honest i doubt your resolve your want to become as strong as you say you wish to be so tell me rather than me proving my strength to you why don't you try and prove such things to me when the time comes?"

Normally the boy would have listened to what the Hyuuga had to say, but how his own teacher had speaking about Suyashi as if to say he was better than Maru was enough to trigger the boy into directing his hatred of his enemy onto his wounded teacher. “Is that so Hyuuga?” the boy snarled at the the man, his eyes would now narrow to glare down at his teacher, the demonic aura had surrounded him now projected outward to make the room seem a bit darker. When Maru spoke his voice was even less human than it had been previously, as if some sort of mask was starting to slip away.

”Perhaps you allowed him to outclass me because you decided on playing therapist rather than training me to actually fight.” the boy's said in a harsh tone toward the man, putting all of the blame of of not being strong enough to beat... No kill his enemy squarely on the Hyuuga. ”What I got from that BULL you call a lesson was that I'm too attached to my dolls and that I need a backup plan so I don't lose them. Even I could have figured that out.” Maru didn't move a muscle, he was frozen in place like some strange doll. The darkness of his own hatred now twisted itself around the boy. There was no grin. No jokes cracked. Just a straight face with hellfire eyes that peered into his teacher's soul.

”You know I think that you are the one not serious enough about me getting stronger. And that's because you think that I will be a threat to the village, and possibly to you. So you seek to tame me because you are possibly the lowest ranking Anbu in your branch” the boy spat, each word was meant to cause some kind of emotion whether it be anger or fear it didn't matter. Maru was now looking at his own teacher, whom he thought that he could actually learn from, as a enemy due to his rather false allegations towards the man. ”You are useless Hyuuga. the boy growled at the man, looking down at Hyuuga as if he was a pile of trash before ending his rant with his final statement

”If you aren't going to be useful, you might as well die too. I don't need YOU in order to get stronger….” Maru's hatred for the boy ran deep, perhaps he hated Suyashi because he was the total opposite of him. Or Maru didn't know exactly how to take a loss.

Listening to the boys words and watching him Yukio didn't seem all too phased by what he had to say for all he was concerned he was looking at a child having a temper tantrum as he let him finish tilting his head back out the window with a sigh. "You say you could have figured it out on your own, but how long would it have taken you, i've never seen someone look so weak in the sight of having a companion taken away. You take too long to figure things out if im being honest because you obsess over things like revenge and being better rather than looking at yourself and seeing the problem." He stated bluntly it was going to get the point across.

"The second part of your little rant is far from the truth, Why would i even waste my time on you if i didn't want you to get stronger and help yourself. As for your demonic heritage I couldn't care less what you are, thinking that just because your a demon it makes you the most evil person here yet i fail to see how that's the case considering i've committed more sin than you can even imagine. I judge for what you've done not what you are" It was true there was no point in judging the boy for things he couldn't control the facts were of he was a half demon may as well teach him to use his heritage than hide it away from the world, it was a skill set that made Maru unique.

The last part was something that disappointing Yukio to no end however if he hadn't been paying attention to Maru's actions before this point he could have called it short sighted but in this case that was more than likely not what was going on whether or not the AiT would listen on the other hand was another matter entirely. "What will make you stronger then? Getting enraged and beaten by those above you over and over again until it gets through your head that simply striking out at everything you see as not working is only going to hinder any progress you might have. There's a reason people are stronger than you and it's not because they hate more than you do that much i can assure you."

The boy's hands would later twitch, teaching to his weapons pouch to get a scroll, any scroll would do. His eyes focused intently on the Hyuuga, his sharp gaze seemed to catch every breath, every tremor of hair on the man. However despite the young shinobi's actions to cause a reaction of some kind the Hyuuga remained calm, that irritated the boy further but he didn't act. ”And maybe it would take me longer to learn if I decide to teach myself, but I see the problem with myself.” the boy said in a monotone. ”And my problem is that I don't have the power to go up against people stronger than me. And apparently I won't get that power playing around with a loser like you.” Maru continued to insult.

But his insults however only meet with the Hyuuga actually attempting to talk to the boy now. Telling that it wasn't true that he didn't see him as a threat because of what he was but the man did judge by actions. ”By your reaction upon first seeing that I was your visitors, I can only assume that you see me as a threat rather than a student.” Maru said simply to make a point that the Hyuuga did judge him like it or not. His demonic aura would then relax again upon hearing the man's disappointment in his voice.

The boy found it hard to answer the man's question, it was strange how he said that his patience would only would go on for so long but when Maru went on a rant for him to react, the man didn't even yell at him or threaten him. Pretty much losing interest in taking this argument any further, Maru's sinister aura would completely disappear. The boy would fold his arms then turn his back to the Hyuuga like a spoiled child being sent to his room. “You know Hyuuga, you could have at least shown a little bit more aggression. I thought your patience went only so far.” Maru said, puffing out his cheeks gazing off somewhere as he began to think if his words he directed towards his teacher who seemed to only want to help him out. The half demon would let loose a hard puff, turning slightly to look at the Hyuuga again. “Alright I regret from when I called you useless to when I accused you of being a messed up teacher. The rest you deserve.” the boy said, apologizing for his actions in his usual Maru way of apologizing.

The boy would shrug, he might have taken his statements a bit too far, however the boy was still curious on a certain statement the man had said. “So tell me, steroid eyes, what do these people have that I don't have because its sure as hell not hatred.” The boy now focused his eyes on his teacher, waiting on a response.

As Maru began to calm Yukio took a moment to watch his Chakra, the way it shifted and changed as he did it seemed he would have a lot of work ahead of him making sure the AiT didn't do these types of things to the wrong person and if it did come to that clean up the mess left behind in the aftermath. Such things could be worked on later however for now he humoured his Student taking a moment to think through his answers before replaying to him. "Well it's true my patience does only go so far, however sometimes a situation calls for more patience than expected and this is one of those times." a sigh escaped him it was strange having to explain things like this so much in recent times however they had never failed him before, what could it hurt to do it now.

"The way I see it you see yourself is isolated, or at least lonelier than others. If that is the case whatever the reason why what good would it do either of us to just get mad at you and treat you the same way I'm sure more than a few others have." It was a difficult situation the Hyuuga found himself in, he couldn't truly understand what caused Maru to be so apprehensive towards others but he would try and make an effort not to make the same mistakes he was certain others had. "It's as I said I don't care what you are or where you come from, as long as your my student I will give you the best training I can offer."

The apology came as unexpected to Yukio however, though he didn't speak on it simply nodding in response the next question would be one that took some time to fully explain luckily he wasn't exactly going anywhere laying there he had all the time in the world to take this opportunity to explain. "You focus on your hate, that hatred that on occasion has consumed you and made you do things others would consider inappropriate. However what others have is determination, a driving force to push them above and beyond what they previously were, now the way I see it your hate is a part of you however if you take the time to stop and think how much time do you spend walking around exerting that hatred onto others?" It was a blunt question the Hyuuga was clearly aware of some of the antics Maru had gotten up to while he had been bed ridden.

"If you can take your hate and refine it, learn to see past it then take opportunities as they come to you it should make you grow by leaps and bounds rather than a much slower pace. I'm not telling you to stop feeling it, simply point it in the right direction sometimes your going to have to do things you hate such as working with others or finding someone to confide in when your not sure what the next step is but in the end that hate could make it so you never hesitate in a fight. Unlike most who work simply off a drive to protect I'm pretty sure you could work off the raw determination of not wanting to lose again"

Maru kept a straight face, despite the embarrassment he felt from how quickly he went from being angry with the Hyuuga to apologizing. Of course, Maru got off lucky because if he would've said something like this to any other person from the branch, the boy would have gotten the response he usually would expect which would lead to more resentment. The young shinobi put a hand on his forehead the Hyuuga's response was that more patience was needed in a situation like this. “You know, you're lucky that I don't have enough hatred to actually look at you as a enemy.” the boy said, a bit bitter that he couldn't keep up his heartlessness toward the Hyuuga. "Seriously, that's twice already that you talked me out of going on to attack you.”

The boy would then fold his arms, starting to listen to the Hyuuga’s words. The man seemingly understood how Maru would increase his resentment towards others by showing aggression towards him. If getting angry with the boy seemed to generate more anger in response, then sometimes a different approach would in order so that darkness that the boy held within him wouldn't increase due to harsh punishment. So instead of scolding the boy, the Hyuuga decided to ensure him that he was there to help him. Maru would've of apologized again for his actions but he already said that he regretted his statement once already and the Hyuuga seemed to have accepted it. “I was just messing around when I said that your teaching sucked. I guess you could say I let a little jealousy take over right then.” Maru explained, then he just dropped it so he wouldn't feel like apologizing again.

Tapping on his shoulder the boy watched the Hyuuga began to think about his last question of what others had that he didn't have. “Well … teach. What do others have that I don't.“ the boy urged the man to answer while his teacher was deep in thought. It might be a long explanation but Maru didn't care. He had to know if he wanted to get stronger. Maru held within him enough personal darkness, the boy had enough hatred in his heart that created more darkness within him, but what Maru was actually missing…. Was...

DETERMINATION

Maru had brought his hand up to his chin to ponder on this statement that he needed a driving force to push him beyond his limits. The boy didn't have a real reason to get stronger, if he was going to get strong for only revenge what would happen when his foe is killed, what reason would he have then. "Hmm…” the young shinobi thought. “Well I suppose that is probably one thing I've been lacking on. Usually I just use things like hate, anger, and revenge so I could put in my full effort in fighting without mercy. But to be honest with you, the way I act is more fitting for a shinobi as supposed to the other hopeful individuals who don't experience the pain and chaos I go through because of my darkness." Maru leaned his back against the wall, he spoke calmly toward his teacher as a grin came to my face.

“ I believe that the only way to really get stronger is to have the largest darkness within me. I mean shinobi are naturally dark creatures anyway, so if I go around working with others and being all sunshine and rainbows then there will be a chance of me jeopardizing the mission because those same people I trust maybe enemies in the future." the boy wasn't really sure if the Hyuuga would actually understand where he was coming from so he decided to give an example. “Like say if one day, I had a mission to assassinate you because you're a spy for another village. It would seem that all you'll have to do is merely talk me down then I would lose interest in fighting. However if I'm totally void of emotion, with only hatred inside me and carrying my darkness within me with the power to back me up, then I'll truly be strong enough to strike out at anyone if I wanted to that is.“

The boy would shrug. “Fight for myself, struggle until I can no longer hold myself up, and make people suffer the way I suffered. Way I see it, people are just gorging on peace while others are suffering in the shadows. So I believe its fair that they should experience pain too.”

Manzo wandered through the hospital trying to figure out where he was going. This was a new building since he had left and rooms were not as clear as he would have liked. All of this for a simple checkup. It did not help that Manzo did not want to be there. He had little use for the medics. In fact every time he had come there he had not gotten any help. His left arm, that kept covered up, was a testament to that after all. But it was pointed out to him that he needed to get a check up after coming back from another county. Like he would pick up some disease like a rat and bring it back home.

As he walked through the halls he stopped suddenly feeling the killing intent. Manzo might not like the hospital but he was not going to let a patient come to harm if he could avoid it. Zeroing in on where the killing intent was coming from, one of the patients rooms. Almost as soon as he knew where it was coming did it die down. Moving quickly he entered the room.

He saw a pair of boys, one obviously a patient talking. He had not taken the time to listen to their conversation, more interested in the killing intent that had died down. Looking at the patient and ignoring the other boy he spoke in his normal jovial tones. ”How is it going today?“ Manzo did not look like a nurse, or even a shinobi. He was dressed in simple clothes though he was wearing long sleeves with gloves covering his hands, it did always look funny wearing just one after all. Manzo most certainly did not have the physical body of the typical shinobi. His bulk gave more the impression of someone that did not spend a lot of time working out. There was not telling what these two would think about Manzo coming into the room or who he even was. He had purposely kept his question brief to see how they reacted. Not sure which one had produced the killing intent he had to first ensure that the patient was safe.

Yukio couldn't help but be pleased in that moment he'd somehow managed to get through to Maru is some way, or at least started to make progress in pointing his hate in the right direction. "I can imagine you have been through your fair share of pain, but what you must remember is that though we may not suffer the same way everyone has a pain they want to hide. Or at least most are unlucky enough too" It was true as Yukio had grown it always felt like someone had something to hide, or something that made them act the way they did however it was not his place in inquire on such things.

"Saying we are bred to be dark creatures however is not always true, yes being so can help you on a mission or make a task easier but what do you do when you have no mission to go on? or have to communicate with others to achieve something? Its about finding the right balance."
He took a deep breath all the explaining he'd been doing had started to wear him down, it didn't help that so much moving in his cast was not doing him any good. "However as much as I would like to show you this myself, I am in no state to do so as such I recommend you train with someone else for the time being. You trained with Mikasa before me if I remember correctly, well if there is anything you wish to discuss with her before continuing feel free to press the button next to me" He paused letting his eyes wander across his person "And more than likely going to have to get my cast checked over anyway"

It had been an interesting turn of events that much could be certain, but it was true he could do little for Maru from the hospital bed the fact of the matter was for the foreseeable future he was stuck there but that was the price to pay for recovery. It would continue to get interesting however as a smile crossed his face seeing Manzo enter the room, it had been some time since the two had met not since his ANBU exams when he was much younger moving his fingers in a motion of greeting. "Well it's good to see you again, it's been some time has it not?" he spoke in a light hearted tone.

Maru although finding his teacher's statement to be true that everyone had a certain pain that they want to hide, but he still believed that most people instead of embracing their own darkness; they would point out other peoples darkness to hide their own darkness. After all his teacher wasn't as lucky to walk away after the fight with his own teacher was proof of that, but despite his injuries the boy didn't seem to get why Yukio wasn't a bit bitter about his defeat. “Well Hyuuga, if I had to guess is that you have a little pain you want to hide but you're not being consumed by it.” Maru said, although his teacher was getting through to him he still didn't understand why a lot more people didn't act the way he did. Needless to say that there was some that could think of nothing more than their own anger and there were some that don't allow the darkness of revenge cloud their own thoughts. “But we all deal with our anger in a different way than others.” He said shrugging.

It was hard to understand if having a balance between the light and darkness could even be achieved. “I don't think that is even possible Hyuuga, I mean how in the world can anyone switch from having darkness one moment to being friendly another? Honestly your lesson showed me that even my feelings could get in the way of a mission so could you imagine if I was to start leaning on people, needless to say my dark missions won't be done without me feeling regret and that isn't a attitude a real shinobi should have.” The boy said in a jokingly but yet a sarcastic tone. Being void of emotion wasn't exactly something that you could simply turn on and off like a light switch. If a shinobi were to act like a cold one moment then be friendly another moment then that said shinobi will be haunted with that feeling of regret. ‘Why would he sign up for a job that involved darkness if you are just going to feel sorry for yourself the next?’ Maru thought.

With a sigh, Maru still failed to understand how would he be able to find a balance between darkness and light. But unfortunately, Maru seemed to have forgotten about his teacher being injured he couldn't exactly get up to show him how, so Yukio seemed to recommend him to someone that he learned from before— Mikasa. Maru smirked, then quickly reached for the button to start pressing the help button over and over, hitting the button every quarter of a second with a bit of frustration. “To get good service in this joint you have to demand it, Hyuuga." Maru said while rapidly pressing the button, hoping that Mikasa would rush her behind over to see if Yukio was in trouble. Then the door opened. “Yo Mika—!” His sentences was cut, who he saw entered the room nearly made the boy lose his composure.

Instead of Mikasa there was a fat, ugly looking man with clothes that Maru would say to be a bit raggedy. The boy looked at Yukio then looked at the man, then immediately began laughing at the fat man before him. Pointing at him as if HE was a joke, the boy clearly had little respect for the man despite him being an Anbu but of course Maru thought that the man was merely a citizen or some merchant that got messed up. Then the insults would soon follow after Maru began to calm down. “I would ask you 'How's it going’ but it looks like you're going to the food court. No but seriously, your face is reminding me a lot like a wart I have to remove– no you look more like an OGRE I saw in a movie once. HA-HA-HA… Oh! Your clothes are telling me ‘Hey I got better things to spend my money on!’ I guess you need to cut down on nice clothes in order to get the kind of food you want. Oh I forgot to ask your age! Will if I count your chins will it tell me your age! HA-HA-HA If you get any bigger you'll need your own zip code… “ Maru went on and on to insult the fat man, using nothing but fat jokes, talking about his clothing, and how ugly the man is. Disregarding the feelings his teacher may would have because of all the crude insults. Of course, when he got bored with mocking the man, he decided that he'd just shoo him away. “Okay enough polite conversation; I think you've got the wrong room Mr. Ogre. So I think it's time for you to–”

After the boy's long strand of insults and puns, his teacher seemingly knew this man. Maru turned around, looking at Yukio with a suspicious look. “You KNOW lard ass over here?” The boy said, gesturing his head towards the man who stood in front of them. Forgetting that he stopped pressing the button, and from how urgent it may had looked. The sudden stopping of the button mashing may worry that something bad may have happened to Yukio.

Manzo looked at Yukio a little strange then the recognition occured. Had he been gone for so long. If little Yukio could have grown up so much it was no wonder that the village had changed so much. He was about to open his mouth to talk to Yukio but it seemed there was a little dog yapping insults at him. He still was unsure which of the two had the killing intent, though he wanted to believe that it wasn’t Yukio, and the rude yipping dog made it so easy to blame him. Either way he needed to separate them. Not one to underestimate people just by their looks, or in the matter by their mouths, Manzo reached into his natural energy pool, foucing the energy he waved his hand at the boy.

”Please stop yapping like a little dog, the adults are talking.“ With that a dome of holy wood arose from the floor to trap Maru between it and the wall. Assuming that Maru was trapped his voice would be muffled by the wood.

”There now we can have a conversation in peace. Before we start catching up i have to ask. I sensed a killing intent from this room. Was that you or was that him? Whoever it was it is obvious that it is died down so I can only assume the threat is over but considering where we are, precautions need to be made and adhere to. “

Either way he hoped that the situation was over but the hospital was simple not the place to take risks like that.

It seemed like at least some of what he said was getting through to Maru but not all of it though Yukio couldn't really complain considering the circumstances. "Well at least you understand most of what I said, however this will be something to look in depth in at a later date. Attempting to find balance between the light and dark is not something easily achieved." His faced went from pleased to deadpan in but a split second hearing Maru's attitude towards both the button and his friend who had just arrived safe to say manners were still something the young AiT had to work on sooner rather than later.

"That 'Lard ass' as you so put it is a friend of mine from the academy days when I was training to join the branch. He was and most likely still is far stronger than I so I would watch what you say."
As Maru was trapped behind the wood wall a sigh of defeat escaped the Hyuuga it was not the best result of him meeting another ANBU member but it was better than what could have happened, at least they were already in the hospital in case anything happened. "As I was saying it has been some time Manzo, I haven't seen you around all too much as of late."

Glancing towards the wood wall he slowly shook his head nodding slightly to his fellow ANBU "I do apologise for my students lack of manners or ability to find out who he's speaking to before opening his mouth. It's something he needs to work on" He called out to Maru not quite sure if he could still hear him "Isn't that right Maru?" Looking upon Manzo in more detail it seemed Yukio wasn't the only one who had changed since he'd been gone, seems a lot had changed for everyone over the years. "You've changed quite a bit my friend, I suspect you've learned quite a few things since going away to explain it?" He was curious about Manzo's sudden change however it would be up to the ANBU if he wished to explain it or not.

“Tch” the boy clicked us teeth, irritated by the remark of this blob before him being stronger than him so he should watch what he say. Clearly Maru won't hold his tongue simply because someone outranked him. The boy clearly didn't fear the fat man nor was he going to respect him for being a member of the same branch. “You expect me to be scared of a guy who can't even look at his own feet. Please!” Maru gestured his hand at the man, at any rate the boy would insult the man again. “I mean just look at that tacky outfit. Betcha he won it as a prize for eating the most Roman! I swear if this guy is stronger than you in your academy days either your acquaintance here let himself GO or you–” unfortunately his sentence would be cut short by Manzo by the young shinobi being suddenly trapped in a dome of wood that came from the floor before Maru knew what was happening.

"What the!–" the young Anbu in training exclaimed, he let his guard down and now he was trapped. Maru initial shock turned to a grin. ‘This ain't tough to break out of’ the boy gloated, pouring his demonic chakra into his right hand then punched at the wood but then his hand began to feel like he hit a brick wall and he wiggled his hand. The Chakra used with this wood was HOLY chakra, another weakness that demons had was that it couldn't go against the power of holy energy. Maru would grit his teeth, realizing that he really WAS trapped like a rat, hearing the muffled voices of the fat man and his teacher. Maru continued punching at the stupid dome of wood non stop, the faint sound of his fist pounding at the dome was audible. "Damnit, let me out of here! I'll break this damn dome down! I will!” Maru snarled while desperately punching at the dome of wood until he got tired.

When Maru heard that Yukio was trying to work on his behavior, the little devil huffed. "You don't need manners or to suck up to people in order to do dark missions you know!” The boy replied to his teacher, plopping down onto the floor he held his face to began to think about how he will be able to get out of the dome without causing too much damage. His first thought was to shoot a hyper beam through the floor or through the wall but it's a possibility Mikasa would be ticked at him which would mean no research nor will this look good on his record on being a Anbu in training because if he went around damaging property he might not be able to go on "Dark Missions" which would make life in the Anbu very uninteresting to say the least. But the question is should Maru risk it? He began rubbing his chin, thinking hard on whether he should or shouldn't blast through the floor.

Manzo listened to the pounding on dome wall. Either the yipping dog was smart enough to not damage the hospital or dumb enough not to realize he could turn around and likely punch his way through. Manzo was not sure which it was and did not want to give the yipping puppy too much credit either way.

Turning his focus back to the Yukio, letting the pounding continue on. ”I have been doing good. Spent some time away from the village as a bodyguard for Takeshi on his trip to Sand.“ Looking down he thought about how much he had changed physically since he had last saw the young academy student. Remembering the the last mission they were on together and how he had to act as a shield against the bank collapsing, brought a smile to his face. ”Yes i have learned a few new things. I have become the Slug Sage of the Leaf since then but as for more of the story that is not something to be shared in a hospital room, that is something to be talked about over a drink. We will need to have one when you get out here.“ Looking over at Yukio’s chart he was tempted to read it but knew that would be all for show.

”I am not much in the way of healing but my brother can do wonders, let me know if they aren't getting you up to speed as fast as possible and I will summon him to help.“

Looking back at the dome. ”Now what to do with the yipping dog. I thought he was just a academy student and while rudeness shouldn’t be tolerated a certain amount can be expected, they tend to be just spreading their wings. But hearing you say he is part of the branch brings this to a whole nother level“ Manzo’s face become a bit darker and more serious. There was not anger in it but there was a hardness that showed emotion. ”Since he is part of the branch then a lesson is in order.“ Turning back to face Yukio he once again had his smile on his face ”Not that I don't’ think you could teach the lesson but since you are recuperating I will be the instructor for this one“ With those words his smile was gone.

”I called him a yipping dog mostly because that was what he reminded me of so perhaps that is how he should be treated, like a puppy. “ By this time the pounding had stopped. ”The first thing you have to do when dealing with a puppy is remember there is no anger, emotions get in the way with their learning. Next never let them out of their cage while they are acting out. They need to be calm before they can be let out of their crate, like he is now.“ As he is saying this the dome started to retreat. ”Now Puppy, because you haven’t demonstrated you have been a good enough boy to earn a name yet, today will be your first lesson“ If either of them would notice the walls, floor and ceiling would start getting thicker as Manzo was reinforcing them.

”While you are right you don't’ need to have manners for missions but you do when dealing with your suppieros and never judge someone just by how they look. “ Walking over to the door ” Manners“ he shut the door ”Maketh “ locking it ”Man“ the reinforced holy wood that had encased the room enveloped the door.

”If you are going to be apart of the branch then you need to learn some manners Puppy“ Stepping in close Manzo delivered a Step-In Flash attack, it was quick enough to deliver his point but not powerful enough to put Maru down for long, if it did put him down. He did not move as someone that carried his kind of weight would move he moved with the speed and grace of any normal shinobi but still to Manzo he felt like he was standing still. No matter how fast he got it was always slow

”Now Puppy, you failed to ask yourself why is this lard-ass walking into a shinobi’s room without a care in the world? Instead you only saw what was in front of you not looking deeper to see what was really in front of you. This is a quick way to get killed in these ‘dark missions’ of yours.“ Looking to Yukio he asked him a question ”Though if he isn’t observant enough miss the elephant in the room perhaps he needs to go back to the Academy. I shudder to think what will happen to him if he runs across someone not as nice as I am, like say Maki.“ Looking back to Maru ”Now Puppy do we need to continue the lessons?“ He was interested to see how far Maru would escalated this, he highly doubted that this was over.
