As the daughter of two humble merchants, constantly on the go, the family of three had finally settled into the village of Kumogakure once the girl was at age eleven. Like any other who was in new surroundings, it took Gin ample time to at last get used to the people and atmosphere. She meets a few people, some closer than others. One that still to this day had a lasting effect. Her academy days went by without a hitch, and was soon promoted to become an ANBU-in-training. It was from there, a slow road to her promotion to ANBU and an uneventful one.
During the absence of her best friend and love interest, Gin began taking up bad habits and became increasingly promiscuous with two men, both who left the village and never returned as promised. Growing considerably lonely and feeling useless under the ANBU Sennin at the time, the young woman considered making a run for it, however she never got quite to that point. Her breaking point was the one fatal meeting between her and that one special person she had never forgotten or ceased to love, who had after two years returned. The rendezvous had gone... somewhat according to what she had envisioned. Broken glass and thrown tables really weren't something she had expected.. Nor was the bill she was left with to accommodate all the damage done to the small eatery.
Since that point Gin has stayed fairly low-key, doing just as promised and avoiding him at all costs and though she tried to forget him, that last "playful" nickname 'Highwhore Hoshiko' and his apparent and tangible hurt remained fresh even still. Men were nothing but trouble, she decided, as they had done nothing but bring her heartache. This had brought her into her present slump, and a dangerous and sinister one at that. She was suffering from malnutrition, insomnia, and an ongoing chronic headache that never seemed to go away. In a self-destructive downward spiral, she has yet to let it interfere with her work.
